Matr isnt a ordinary rehab program ..although 12 step program is in the curriculum it is a small portion of the rehabilitation process ...the staff and counselors have all been patients or in recovery themselves. When first walking thru the door u feel as if u just got to ur favorite aunt or relatives house u would visit yearly..you know the ones who never judged u but always made sure u knew when u were *€!@&÷? Up and gave u wisdom and advice to get thru it..jeanie is the sweetest REALEST people ive ever met..no matter the issue if ur genuine and u give 116% she will have ur back and shes saved alot of lives .kept alot of people from dying ,and serving life sentences in prison.shes known world wide and people listen when she speaks..hasnt been like that always if u know her story.but she spoke up for recovery addiction and other important issues and has gotten alot of laws and bills passed.you work with horses the environment is beautiful..not to mention the mind body and soul work ..its amazing what you learn..this is where u want to be if you want to change ur life..and u can smoke cigarettes .lol..

This place is amazing! The staff are wonderful and supportive in every way. They challenge and also support you. Changed my life in more ways than one and all for the better. Absolutely recommend this place. Ms. Noelle is a skilled therapist who helped repair our family relationships and relationships with ourselves. Ms Robyn also led beneficial group therapy and helped out on hard days. The staff are talented. The excursions help add a sense of normalcy. Cannot praise this place enough.

I am extremely grateful for Embark. My daughter has been struggling for the past 5 years with her mental health, and the last year and a half has been extremely difficult for her. This led to her needing higher care to keep her safe. That transition alone was enough to rip our hearts out. To not be with her every day or comfort her while she was struggling, was unbearable for me as her Mother. As hard as it was for me though, it was even harder for her, which is what makes me so grateful for Embark. My daughter went there 2 days before Christmas💔 and also missed her birthday with family, which was two weeks after. While it was extremely hard for us to find any joy in those occasions this year, Embark made it special for her. They did stockings for the girls and had so many fun activities. I always felt informed and had several contact numbers at Embark with direct lines to staff to be able to check on my daughter. They were also very accommodating and gave my daughter the respect to make choices for herself. They made special accommodations for her diet, schooling, and even sleeping arrangements when she was struggling. They never treated my daughter with unkindness and she said they were always really nice. Even when it came to my daughter expressing anger and saying she was going to run away, they respectfully accompanied her as she went for a walk until she decided to return. They informed me if the incident right away and told me that they didn't restrain her from her behaviors because she needs to have the ability to be able to function when she comes home without us keeping her safe. I love this about them because she ultimately had to make the right choices herself. As scary as it is to have your child away from home and in the care of others, I know that my daughter is in a much better place psychologically after having gone through their program. They do so many fun things in the program. While my daughter was there, they went to the rec center and library weekly, the movies, and also horseback riding. They frequently did Just Dance, ordered pizza, and had movie and popcorn nights, etc. Unless you are a parent who has a child that has gone through a mental health illness, you can't fathom the pain it causes, but knowing that she was treated with love and kindness and that they gave her an environment of happiness while we were apart, is the best I could have asked for. Thank you so much Embark!💖💖

When compared to other behavioral health facilities, this place can actually help, rather than simply being expensive cells like the others. The low ratings from others is because they had a bad experience, but I promise that they are exaggerating. If you obey the rules of the unit, you’ll have a far better chance of experiencing some healing. Edit: I will repeat if you follow the rules of the unit (and they are strict and do take away some freedoms, but are fair, and are for the safety of everyone) you’ll have a far better chance of experiencing healing and not being so miserable at USH. You’ll notice that many of the 1 star reviews talk about how they broke rules, and that they were miserable. It’s directly related. Don’t threaten people, don’t be sexually inappropriate, don’t harass others, don’t yell (unless you’re in a room alone), don’t refuse help, and things go better.

It has been 2 years since my time at The Phoenix. I can honestly say they saved my life. I didn’t know how they could possibly help me since I had already done some extreme treatments for my debilitating depression and SI. I started in residential and altogether spent about 5 months in their care. It took me working the steps and being accountable along with their care and I know I would not be here if it wasn’t for the help I received from their awesome staff. I still implement the skills I was taught there and refer back to the workbook we used. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I went to Brunswick exhausted, malnourished, and on the brink of a nervous breakdown. My marriage was ending because of Infedelity and I started drinking heavily. They made me feel safe, gave me a place to improve my health, Therapist that I could talk with and taught me skills to use when I was feeling overwhelmed in life. Eliminating using a drug just to feel better. I highly recommend them if you need to get your brain clear, calm and ready to change your world around you!!!

My nephew came to Recovery Ways and it was the first program that really worked for him, after two years of trying four other programs. He came out of this program a different, new person, his best self. What made RW different? The type of program-- 1) Intensive therapy and classes with real learning, my nephew is super smart so he's hard to impress, he criticizes everything, but he was quoting the lesson & tools he learned here. 2) The staff was always present, available, created a strong sense of support along with the peer support group which was healing for my nephew, he finally felt he belonged somewhere. 3) Pragmatic, realistic program located in the city with daily visits to sites, bookstore, gym, aquarium. Patients learn sobriety in the midst of real life and daily activity in town, rather than being isolated then return to real life, they're accustomed to living sober. 4) Focus on mental health at Copper Hills was exactly what my nephew needed. They gave him exactly the tools that worked for him. 5) RW is unique, it includes both RT residential therapy and PHP partial hospitalization, all in patient, and covered by insurance, so no rent, you get room and food. So it's a 2 month min. program or longer. 6) Staff is amazing, very competent, on top of details, needs, circumstances, concerns. Matt and John were a godsend, every day, they went the extra mile, counselled with me on all needs, gave excellent advice and referrals to help me solve all my nephew's needs and navigate insurance, then transfer to sober living. I can't praise RW enough, I thank God we found this place, I doubt any other place would have done what RW did for my nephew. It gave him a new self and life.

I highly recommend Willow Tree Recovery. I went there on my near deathbed and received an immense amount of loving care. It played a massive role in saving my life. I was given the resources and knowledge to become and remain a sober and productive individual. The staff and therapist to client ratios are outstanding, of the four therapists they each have only 3-4 clients at max occupancy so you receive plenty of direct personal therapy on top of the process groups. The facility is well kept. There are only 16 residents max so there is ample opportunity to get to know your peers and build strong connections with them as well as the therapists and staff. There is a reason why this center is well known and highly respected across the country. If you or someone you care for is suffering, Willow Tree Recovery is the place for them.

Located in the heart of Orem, Utah, the Center for Change is more than just an eating disorder treatment center. It’s a place where individuals find hope, healing and a path forward. The Center for Change truly changed my life—but I won’t pretend it was easy. In fact, treatment is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There were rules, structure, and accountability that felt overwhelming at times—but I now understand they were exactly what I needed to start healing. The staff was firm when necessary, but always kind, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. They created a safe environment where I could be vulnerable even on my worst days. The therapy, meal support, and sense of community helped me face things I never thought I could. I’ve seen some reviews mention punishments or consequences during treatment. From my perspective—both as a former patient and now as an employee—I can say with confidence that nothing is done to be harsh or mean. Everything is structured to support recovery, not control or punish. The goal is always to help separate the individual from their eating disorder, even when that means holding difficult boundaries. It’s done with care, intention, and a deep understanding of what true healing takes. Now, as someone who works here, I have the unique privilege of seeing this life-changing care from both sides. I can personally vouch for the integrity and dedication of the team. It’s not just a job for anyone here—it’s a mission, and that heart is felt in everything we do. The Center for Change continues to be a place of hope and transformation, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

CFC turned my life around. It has been a year and a half since I discharged and my entire life has improved. I never readmitted. I never had a major relapse. When I went through major surgery and was at risk of relapsing they gave me outpatient short term support. They helped me find my path. They gave me hope for the future again. I had had multiple suicide attempts in the months leading up to admitting to CFC. Since discharging, I can genuinely say I am happy and glad I'm alive. I am not in therapy anymore. I have my psychiatrist and my regular doctor I visit occasionally for medical needs, but mostly I just live life. I go hiking, I have picnics, I wear dresses, I go swimming, I started dating again and found my long-term girlfriend, and I don't care what my body looks like. I am genuinely happy to be alive. Thank you Center for Change. You truly changed my life.

staff was kind for the most part but i feel like it was definitely more directed towards anorexia which was frustrating for a lot of people. also staff only applies certain rules to certain people and others were often rewarded for bad behavior. there were girls exercising (in a "sneaky" way) in the common room who staff ignored and a girl who caused so much chaos they basically just gave her phone back at any minor inconvenience. most of the staff was really great tho. in the end if you are there to work on yourself, you can get a lot out of it but if not, it can be really triggering and unhelpful.

Amethyst Center for Healing, and Jana Fulmer changed my life. As a trans person recovering from trauma, this was a safe haven that is irreplaceable. I was given space and tools to start discovering more about myself and how to grow when in a place of pain. I also really respect what they do— not only working with victims of violence but those who have hurt others. This reparative justice ethos is inspiring and part of a future that focuses on rehabilitation not punitive systems. I’m so much happier with my life, and a lot of that has to do with the empowerment and trust I was given at Amethyst to start making decisions in my life that were more focused and less reactionary. Jana showed true care and empathy towards me, and helped me feel supported and valued. I can’t recommend enough!

This is the best clinic I've ever been to. The doctors are awesome! Update; I have now been going to Martindale Clinic for over 5 years now. I am happy to say that I'm happier than ever to be going to Martindale Clinic. I know some reviews make it seem like they are negligent answering phones and returning calls, but please remember they serve SO many people that they are constantly busy. But this is actually a testament of how Awesome they really are! To have so many people as patients! Here's some examples of my experiences in these last 5 years; During COVID (2020), I had recently lost my housing, and ended up drinking antifreeze after asking help from The U of U, only for the U to kick me off the property. When I was walking up to Martindale Clinic while drinking from the jug of antifreeze, someone is saw and went in and told the staff. My PCP (Jessica Arbogast) literally came outside with a couple of chairs and sat with me while they called the ambulance. Keep in mind this was at the hight of COVID and as it turned out, I had an active COVID infection. My PCP sat and talked with me the whole time until the ambulance arrived. Then she also directed them to bring me to LDS hospital, since I had just had such a negative experience at the U, and didn't feel safe there even though the U was a bit closer. Jessica also remembers my family members names that I've talked about. She even remembers the problems or encounters that I have talked about regarding not just family, but my day to day experiences. Going to Martindale Clinic to get help with my addiction was possibly the best choice I've ever made and I've been sober for over 4 years now! To the staff at Martindale Clinic, and especially Jessica Arbogast, I want to say this; Thank You SO Much! You have been key in my life getting so much better, and I will always remember your help and kindness! Please if anyone is looking to get away from their addiction, and improve their life... Please.give Martindale Clinic a chance to help you!

Almost 9 years ago I went to the Haven a lost, broken, homeless soul. I was gifted the ability to be there for months and learn to walk, love, and live on my own. I hadn’t known how to do that on my own despite being 28 years old. I was then able to go to sober living and follow up care that was really life changing for me. From leadership down to the peers I was shown up for and taught life lessons I needed to learn. I’ve never returned to a drink or drug since, and there have been many hardships in my life since leaving the Haven, but I know how to handle them as they come up and that is because of the program.

I want to stress how grateful I am for this place. I used heroin for years and thought that it was my only future. I tried any and every way to get off it and nothing worked. Finally I found Project and slowly but surely worked my way to where I am now. I’ve been clean 2 years and going strong! If you read Champ’s review, you should know that I felt a similar way when I was using. I hated anyone that tried to help me. I saw them as a threat and an obstacle to my next fix. When you’re down that far you’ll say and do anything. You see the people trying to help you the most as your biggest enemy. I relapsed a few years ago while I was a patient here, and they gave me chance after chance before they finally decided I needed a higher level of care. I was livid! I had to go detox at a hospital and do treatment elsewhere, but nonetheless they still took me back when I was ready. Today, I’m so damn glad and thankful they made that decision. In fact, there were a few other times that I just stopped going and had to go through the intake process every time, but they never denied me. They don’t give up on their clients. You would have to have done something dangerous or threatening to be told you can’t come back. I know that Bret (my case worker/therapist without the official title 😊) has been my savior. He’s professional, genuine, dedicated and compassionate. He never gave up on me when everyone else understandably did and he had every reason to. Bret truly cares about his clients. Because of past trauma, I don’t like to be in a room alone with an older man, but I don’t feel like that with him. His office is a safe environment and so is he. I’ve never been treated poorly by any of the staff. They’ve all been kind and professional. I have to give a shout out to Malik at the front desk. He’s been there the entire time I’ve been going to Project and I can totally see why they keep him. He is very good at and serious about his job. He not only does it well, but I can tell he genuinely cares about each of us. He says hi to us individually, asks how we’re doing and engages in healthy conversation, every time! Thank you for always making me feel welcome and safe, Malik! 😊 I could go on and on with things to say about Project Reality, but I think what I’ve said so far has shown how grateful I am for this place. Thank you for saving my life, Project! 🙏🥰

As someone who has interacted with the staff and residents from White River Academy in a professional capacity as well as a recreational capacity, I’ve been consistently impressed by them and with the structure of their programs. Every young man I have interacted with has always been respectful, helpful, and friendly. White River Academy has been helpful to the community by offering regular service projects. Me and my family are grateful for WRA. Our son was completely lost mentally , spiritually and physically prior to arriving at WRA. He had Schizoaffective bipolar disorder and poly substance abuse disorder , dual diagnosis . I had tried multiple professionals , hospitals at home and at US and he remained the same , or worse each time getting more challenging. At WRA he was evaluated and followed by a team. Initially difficult but little by little he changed and rose his true personality A compassionate and caring human being . We owe our sons life to WRA. His therapist , parent Liasion , teacher and all staff provided discipline with love. All the staff was accessible and caring about all the students. We are grateful that our son was at WRA it changed his life for the better. He got his life back.

We’ve had a very positive experience over all with Wasatch behavioral health. The front desk is always helpful for me and my kids. Zach has been a consistent, all-around fabulous counselor for my family for years now. Knowledgeable, encouraging. I also come here for medication providers for myself and I’m continuously impressed with how relatable they are, empathic, and willing to listen so we can work together. I’m grateful for this whole group. Thank you for being here!

I’m so very grateful for House of Hope. When I checked myself into their treatment I was way beyond rock bottom, knocking on heaven’s door. When I got there I was first and foremost taught how to love myself. What a huge difference I went from not knowing how to love myself, to working daily on not only loving myself but believing it as well. They taught me so many useful life tools that I still use today. Their services/ tools they provided me not only helped, but also gave me the tools to get others in an Outreach job I have today. For the very first time in my life there were people who not only cared about me, but who also loved me and showed up for me daily for a year while I was in treatment. I still attend their weekly aftercare program. Thank you House of Hope for every single thing you guys have helped me accomplish, and get through.
