I really loved foothill my experience with them was great! The staff really does genuinely care alot about everyone. It's sad to see poor reviews, but everyone is going to have bias opinions which everyone is entitled to theirs. The thing you have to remember, is that this is a rehab! So all the reviews saying that they are terrible, you may want to take with a grain of salt! I had a great experience with Foothill. Ricky really changed that place for the best, and he worked his butt off with not only the staff, but the clients too, to try to figure out a Happ medium! You can't have everything you want when you're coming off drugs and alcohol! It's a facility that has guidelines and rules! Believe me, I tested and pushed both, and at times told some members of the staff things I shouldn't have said!!! Ricky could have kicked me out a couple times, but worked his tail off with me, and the staff to get me through! I completed the 90 day program a little bit early, cause I started doing the work, and going the extra miles it took. I still struggle now and again but I'll always look here first! Thanks to all of you at foothill that was there th times I've came through! You guys are awesome!

They have a 5 star staff that can give you several tools to get better. I have a strong personal gratitude for this place.

Maple Mountain Recovery in Utah completely exceeded my expectations. From day one, their team created a highly personalized treatment plan tailored just for me—every session felt tailored to my needs. What really sets them apart is the way they seamlessly blend healing with genuine care and enjoyable experiences. Between therapy sessions, I had options like yoga, cold plunges in nature, art therapy, acupuncture, and many therapeutic adventures. It felt like real recovery, not just treatment. The staff is amazingly attentive—every single team member knew my name, remembered my goals, and checked in regularly to see how I was doing. They made sure I felt supported 100% of the time and built an environment that was both professional and warm. If you’re looking for a recovery center that cares deeply, customizes your journey, and injects a dose of fun and relaxation into the process—Maple Mountain Recovery is it. Highly recommend!

My experience is that the staff is incompetent, insensitive, lazy and all-around do not care about anything but there pay check thay sleep on the job. if asked for assistance thay acted like is an inconvenience and not there job. No communication throughout the whole facilit it takes the clients in arm and a leg and a bunch of unnecessary red tape to get the slightest thing done they preach about being punctual to hold one self accountable they do the exact opposite they do not hold themselves accountable they are definitely not punctual

This program is amazing. I've gone to 4 or 5 different places trying to find what could help me stay sober. This time I found the Lord and really paid attention to anyone and everyone's experience and advise. Pomarri has different times to accommodate everyone's schedule. I first found Pomarri in 2016 and it truly helped me though one of the hardest times in my life. I am currently getting help again from them and honestly I don't know what I would do without them. Tara is so caring and goes above and beyond to help me and make you feel like you can do it. All of the staff here does. Coming to Pomarri is a bit of a drive for me so I know I could find help somewhere closer to home however I don't think I would have stayed like I do at Pomarri because of the kindness and caring you get from the people at Pomarri. I am truly so thankful for Pomarri.

I have done multiple Types of treatments in the past couple of years. And they all seem so repetitive and focus on substance abuse. Pomarri actually has figured out a way to treat my drug addiction by helping me learn about a variety of other factors, including, but not limited to things to do with my childhood trauma. The underlining reasons why I do the things I do and the classes are very positive and interactive. I’ve been going here for almost 4 months now. They make the process very smooth and easy. They are very friendly, kind easy-going, and the doctor in House helps with all of and any medications that might be needed to make a smooth, lasting transition into what I would consider a beautiful new outlook in life and a sober, spiritual loving Environment. Thanks for everything you guys do!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ As a military spouse and advocate for veterans, I am deeply disappointed in The Chateau's treatment of a combat veteran who was expelled from their program in less than 24 hours—for simply using the word "gay" in reference to a song. The fact that employees contacted us after his removal and admitted he was discriminated against raises serious concerns about this facility’s qualifications and credibility as a VA-approved center. These whistle blowers are making statements for authorities to further investigate. This individual, suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury after multiple combat tours, was admitted for behavioral health care in good faith. The facility's promise to support healing and recovery for veterans was betrayed when, instead of working through his challenges as advertised, they ejected him without meaningful intervention. Expelling a veteran in psychological crisis for language—especially when that language was not threatening or violent, but a single word—demonstrates a disturbing lack of trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and compassion. Veterans deserve better. They deserve care that understands the invisible wounds of war and doesn't discard them when things get difficult. DO NOT CONSIDER USING THE CHATEAU FOR MENTAL HEALTH TREAMENT AS THE STAFF HAS THEIR OWN MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES THEY CAN'T SEEM TO DEAL WITH. THEY MAKE FALSE PROMISES TO THE COMMUNITY AND FOR VETERANS CARE. Expelling a veteran with a diagnosed mental health disability—rather than providing appropriate support—constitutes a violation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, which protects individuals with disabilities from discrimination in programs receiving federal funding, including VA-approved facilities. Have a wondful day on Rainbow Lane 🌈

Whether former military, first responder, or anyone seeking help from true professionals, Chateau is the real deal. You can expect Chateau to give you the tools to succeed, mind, body, and soul. The staff understand you and where you’re coming from, because many have traveled the same journey you are now embarking upon. As a 35 year veteran of law enforcement, you can take my word for it. This place is phenomenal! So, want to be your best self, look no further.

THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE If you are here for court ordered treatment, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. I was informed in court that my counselor told the judge I “wasn’t taking responsibility for what I did and I was blaming everybody else” when all I told her was that I had 1 rough night and that I believe I am a good person that was put in a bad situation. Never been in trouble in my life, never been in a fight, never done drugs and don’t drink. I took the high road and got charged for a petty crime, but these people here took my vulnerable sessions and went and told the judge I was basically a piece of crap, which harshened my penalties. The whole time, Tenneal acted like she agreed with me and said I was very strong and had good morals to react the way I did in my specific situation. Then they go behind my back and tell the judge the complete opposite. If you guys are looking for a place for court ordered treatment, take your money elsewhere. You will just pay these guys to speak badly of you after you have spilled your heart to them. HUGE mistake coming here

I have received services here since 2019 - current. I was first introduced to the facility as part of my recovery program. I wanted change and worked the programs. They worked. I've continued using the mental health therapy. Changing therapists if I didn't think they were a good fit was never an issue. My daughter also uses their programs on the youth side for mental health. I see Joni who is a prescriber, she's great at what she does and cares about her patients. It's a great community resource for bettering your life and knowing you're not alone. So I did the inpatient in Payton Utah as well as the day treatment (php) and the night classes (IOP) and I’m currently continuing in the aftercare program. I have been to quite a few treatment centers and Steps stands at the top of all. Their therapist and faculty genuinely care for their clients and tell them what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. They know from personal experience the struggles of addiction and helped me break down some serious walls that allowed me to hear the messages needed for me to find a new and much happier way of living. Today I am so grateful that I was able to get into step and would recommend it to anyone who is ready to take suggestions and do the work. How freeing it has been for me.

Horrible experience with lack of professional ism and compassion. Family member was diagnosed with extremely rare disorder and their " nurse practitioner" was given explicit instructions from u of u on his medication that was meant to be immediately started and was completely ignored by Pioneer. After 3 days of calling and being told that they were having to" deal" with me, advocativing for my son who was in horrendous pain and lost seven pounds, I saw them for what they were. They do not care for their patients, the Dr from u of u said he had an illness, that felt like his cheek resting on an electric fence for 10 minutes at a time. Most excruciating pain known to mankind and they could not make a simple phone call and change his mental health med immediately like they were told. Heartbreaking. He lost 7 pounds and has suffered immesureably at pioneers hands. Horrid administration and nurse practitioner that would allow a child needless suffering like this. For you or especially your children's sake do not get involved with this completely unprofessional place.

I’ve been working with Eric at AVY counceling for the past 2 years and I’ve never had a more effective and enjoyable therapist or form of therapy. The Body talk/Mind Body Bridging is absolutely incredible and Eric knows how to integrate it so effectively. Ive worked with soooo many therapists and doctors and Eric at AVY Counseling it at the very top of my list. Eric far exceeds traditional forms of therapy including “talk therapy” that you can find absolutely everywhere. What Eric does needs to be adopted world wide. My brother also sees him and benefits in the same way. I can’t give a high enough rating.

I attended Youth Care from 2000-2003. I am 32 and have a beautiful daughter, a well paying job that I'm passionate about, and a great outlook on life. While there were aspects of Youth Care Incoperated that were useful for me, my overall experience was traumatizing. In February of 2001 my parents where at there wits end, and talked to an educational consultant. I was skipping school, running away, and in and out of hospitals. YCI was recommended and 'escorts' soon came to my house in the middle of the night and made sure I made it to Utah. I was at this facility for 2.5 years. The treatment team "didn't feel comfortable" graduating me. In the summer of 2003 the treatment team told my parents "there was nothing more they could do for me." Meanwhile I developed a very hopeless and pessimistic attitude towards my future, and my life. Phone calls where monitored, and staff would hang the phone up for me if I wanted to talk to my parents about anything negative having to do with YCI. I room

I went to outback as a teenager I spent a very long 18 weeks in the wilderness at first this was a miserable I didn't want to be out there and I felt as it was completely pointless and was longing for the day I could leave. I belive about 7 weeks into my stay I started finally to be able to see the good in it. The staff we out there with us and the generally cared for us they all knew our names and stories and were always more than happen to listen to us. In my final weeks out there I really didn't want to leave it gave a sense of comfort and control of my own life. Plebe week was one of the best weeks of my life it was a great transition from wilderness back into normal life the adventures we went on were amazing. I wish I could day thank you to all the staff that were out there and especially Ja-Jo.

I attended Provo Canyon School For Boys in 1977 for one year. Like John G, in the reviews, I too was on the wrong track. Jack the owner was a pompous jack ass but the school and for the most part the teachers and councilors were doing their best. Most graduates of BYU and Mormons. As a 16 year old with no clear idea of life and definitely any idea of what or how to move forward and be a productive person. The school taught me how to set goals and gave me the confidence to take control of my life and learn that I could be productive and enjoy life by developing self discipline and how important and rewarding life could and should be. Nothing is perfect and I had my reservations at times especially with Jack but I learned how to deal with it and by being in a structured environment I grew up and became a more productive and responsible adult. Thank you mom and dad for loving me and I am thankful for the opportunity of being privileged to go here and finding myself. I hope and pray other boys will have the same benefit I did. Provo taught me how to set goals and above all else, like myself and develop a positive self concept. Get the best from opportunities, you weren't doing anything else anyway. :)

I was at PCS in 1982-83. I was a troubled youth growing up in Chicago. I was 12 yrs old when I started going south with my life, substances, liquor, criminal activity and such. Did a stint in juvy for armed robbery and it just kept getting worse due to my choices in my life at that time. I have good parents and siblings but somehow I was just not making the grade in life. At 16 I was sent to PCS. Wasn't to thrilled about being locked up with a bunch of dudes from all over the country. Long story short, My grades went from F's to A's, the teachers there were great. The class sizes were much smaller than the public schools in Chicago, the teachers here gave a d##. My therapist even let me come into his home for Christmas once I got to the level 3&4 in the program. Staff took me out of there to hang out with them at BYU activities. So I learned that I was an ok young man, people did like me I wasn't as bad as I thought I was. I took my SAT,s there and got accepted at USU in Logan,UT. Point is it did stink alot of the time, I missed my family, but I learned self discipline and another (better) way of living. I'm still alive at 58 yrs old. If I didn't come here I would have died before I turned 18, either from violence, drugs or liquor. I look back now and I thank God for that part of my life.you get out of it what you put into it.
