One unique thing provided to clients at Steps Recovery is the addiction recovery app. It gives patients access to resources such as books and lessons on addiction recovery and a built in sobriety tracker.
The outpatient program on St. Bluffs focuses on treating patients through group therapy, individual therapy and holistic therapy. The group therapy sessions will either be weekly or bi-weekly and last anywhere between 1 to 2 hours. The activities that may be a part of group therapy include mindfulness and relaxation techniques for stress management, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exercises and creative activities such as writing or art. These holistic approaches actually fit the inspirational surrounding red cliffs and mountain landscape that the city is renowned for.
Counselors will work with patients to create personalized coping strategies that will help them with their specific challenges. If your condition is acute, you may be referred to an inpatient center in their network. When patients complete their recovery program and move on to alumni aftercare services, they’ll continue to receive group and individual support to maintain their sobriety.
