The small program size means the girls all really work together as a team to help each other. The love and support they have for each other and for their staff is truly awe inspiring. I suspect the few negative reviews are mostly from girls who either quit the program prematurely, were not interested in getting help (and thus would have criticized any similar program), or thought this was a horse camp rather than a therapeutic program that uses horses to help the girls learn about themselves.

I went and it was amazing. I was there for 11 months. I'm now at home and doing awesome. I Strongly consider it. The nature and outdoor experience was what helped me the most. I have the most amazing therapist and support teams.

I came to Kolob when I was 7 months away from being 18 years old, I was failing high school, unmotivated, and at odds with my family and myself. Kolob Canyon RTC allowed me to recognize my worth, what I can do, and have the tools to keep on keepin' on. I have since then graduated, sold cars (top salesmen every month on the job), gotten A's my first semester of college, and lived well with the people that mean most to me, my lovely family.
It is never easy to admit that you need more help with your child and their needs than what you can offer, just ask my mom. But I do know that this program and the staff will change your child's life and your family dynamic.
As a student a lot is asked of you unlike a lot of treatment places, but that makes it known that you are capable of a lot. And now I am onto things like managing a store and being a full time student at age 19. 2 years ago I didn't even want to live.
I am so grateful for Maren (my therapist at Kolob) and Amanda who could crack a joke harder than anyone. Everyone here is wonderful. Just so blessed.

My daughter attended this facility through high school until she graduated. All in all a positive experience. She liked it there. Definitely had some issues that required disciplinary action but nothing too harsh. They were a bit understaffed for therapists at the time to the point where the then-director became my daughter's therapist. Aside from that, no real complaints. Would recommend.

My personal experience: I was 16 when I went and I have to admit my behavior was definitely different when I got out. It taught me discipline and respect for myself and others. I learned to make decisions starting from personal responsibility to educational opportunities. I definitely recommend this place.
I fought back the first few weeks and maybe even months but it’s like a wild horse who had trauma, they are eventually going to learn and it’s going to take time.
I recommend! I would go back for the discipline and scheduled order they have.

I went to Falcon as I was struggling with addiction and depression. Although it was tough some moments (as life is) being there was such a healing experience. The staff was so genuine and I made friends I still keep in contact with to this day. I graduated the program and received my diploma with the help of the teachers there. So thankful my parents sent me to Falcon.

Took the Rock in December of 2005. Mike Richie was one of the more memorable councilors with his 4:30 a.m. formation call-out in the freezing weather just to tell you how great the weather is in the Bahamas. It's one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've ever been to. I made a whole lot of great memories and friends up there. And would go back every summer to beat this Vegas heat and for the peace of mind this wonderful place on earth gives you. A big shout out to WestCare! 5 stars all the way around. I used to receive services from them a few years ago, but today I took a friend to her appointment without knowing what to expect. The staff were incredibly compassionate and accommodating to her needs (she is disabled!). They made her feel welcomed, spoke to her with dignity, and got her into treatment right away. I was a patient at ATMC for 60 days in 2024. In the months prior to my stay there I was battling a serious psychosis, in and out of 4 different behavioral hospitals in a matter of 4 months. The medications and mistreatment were brutal and my family thought I was long gone. My mom found ATMC online and although I was reluctant to go there at first, it truly saved my life.
I had been been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar for 7 years, I had been prescribed heavy doses of antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants throughout my young adult life. It wasn't working for me, my quality of life was at its lowest.
I spent my birthday and Christmas at ATMC, and I've never felt more at home away from home. The staff is genuine, hard-working, knowledgeable, relatable, and above all, they are empathetic. They make sure that everyone feels included, heard, and safe. Instead of treating the symptoms, they find a way to treat the source.
I can proudly say that I've been off any and all psych medications for a full year now. Instead of giving my autonomy up to a doctor or a pill, I finally have it for myself. And I owe the world to my family, friends, and those at ATMC for that.

Matr isnt a ordinary rehab program ..although 12 step program is in the curriculum it is a small portion of the rehabilitation process ...the staff and counselors have all been patients or in recovery themselves. When first walking thru the door u feel as if u just got to ur favorite aunt or relatives house u would visit yearly..you know the ones who never judged u but always made sure u knew when u were *€!@&÷? Up and gave u wisdom and advice to get thru it..jeanie is the sweetest REALEST people ive ever met..no matter the issue if ur genuine and u give 116% she will have ur back and shes saved alot of lives .kept alot of people from dying ,and serving life sentences in prison.shes known world wide and people listen when she speaks..hasnt been like that always if u know her story.but she spoke up for recovery addiction and other important issues and has gotten alot of laws and bills passed.you work with horses the environment is beautiful..not to mention the mind body and soul work ..its amazing what you learn..this is where u want to be if you want to change ur life..and u can smoke cigarettes .lol..
