Sending your child to rehab, finally getting a small glimmer of hope, only to find out that the promises made by the rehab were more marketing than truth is heartbreaking. After multiple rehabs my wife and I were wondering, are any rehabilitation programs that will see and treat our daughter as a person versus just as another customer? Then we were referred to Ascend. From intake to the day of her release, the team at Ascend cared for and walked alongside our daughter giving her the care and tools she needed. Individual therapy, group therapy, activities, and life coaching were all done professionally and thoughtfully. We as a family were also invested into with family weekends and therapy. Even when our daughter hit bumps along the way, they provided the accountability, structure and resources she needed. After leaving the program, the after care and alumni outreach are amazing. If any of my family or friends are struggling with drinking/using I will refer them here. This is a special place. A place that fosters cultivation of real personal growth. I’m currently in their IOP program after graduating residential, and it’s excellent aftercare. This place changed my life. Of course it came with challenges; but the environment, culture, and staff here are all great. I’m the one who had to commit to recovery, but this is the place to do it. From the therapists, to counselors, to the front line and shift lead. The staff is great here. The owners are awesome, very personable, and seem to be involved which is nice. They have any amenity you can possibly think of. From the horses, to the sauna, the full size basketball court. The food is amazing. The views are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the groups and the one on one with my counselor/therapist. I can not convey through mere words what they've created. A fruitless and in vain attempt would be to say that the staff aren't there for a paycheck, they are here to change lives and the do daily. That they alongside the clients help to cultivate a space of healing where one truly feels capable of being present, accountable, and vulnerable. That this is the place and these are my people. Flying in from North Carolina, MK, Sean and Becca were really helpful and respectful of my needs for sobriety. MK, guided me through Admissions and played a key part during my time at Pinnacle. I was worried at first that this facility was just like any other rehabs. Just a common money grab, but to my surprise Pinnacle really wants the best for you. After coming from NextStep Detox, I was greeted by Anthony and Sean! They gave me a great orientation and the clients gave me a warm welcome! Becca and Sean over saw our programming and were very helpful with personal development and were very attentive regarding outside needs during treatment. If I needed to see my legal team or doctors, etc. Becca and Sean would take took time out of their schedule to assist me. The support staff are very friendly, they treated me like I was their best friend. If I got out of line the support staff would help correct me in a way that wasn’t punitive. Anthony and Brooke are both in recovery and so is most staff, they really cared about your sobriety, and will guide you through recovery. The food scene is amazing, nutritious and very healthy. Chef Ed is off the chart, a great chef. I’m not a salmon fan, but he made me a delicious meal to substitute for Salmon! Chef Ed picks fresh foods, so nothing is old or boring! The Interns, and therapists really want to see you be successful. My therapist Julie has gone above and beyond when it came to help my mental health. Her approach to mental health is really awe inspiring. I really appreciate Cassie, Cory and Londyn help as well! The activities are made to help you feel comfortable while working on yourself. Troy, MK, Sean and Becca have built a truly remarkable treatment facility. From Mental Health treatment, to the recreational activities, their passion to help clients are more than I expected. I want to start by saying my daughter really struggled academically and behaviorally and my biggest fear was sending her to a place that would cause more harm then good. I researched and researched to make sure I found a place that I knew my daughter would be safe in. One thing about New Haven is the family support from other parents. New Haven was recommended to me from another parent who’s child was currently in the program and I am so happy I chose this placement. The first month was the hardest for both of us, her behaviors increased and so did my anxiety, however her therapist and the staff kept me well informed and walked me through all interventions! By month two we saw so much growth and stability from my daughter. The family therapies really helped us learn what she was feeling and how we can get closer as a family. Nursing was exceptional, they are very quick to respond to my questions and I had LOTS of questions regarding medication. They really listen to what my daughter was saying and did everything they can to help her with her symptoms of her diagnosis. The school portion was also amazing, my daughter struggled with school avoid and they worked with her and got her on a path where not only is she going to school and is doing the work and passing! She is very excited to go back to her school and show all her teachers what she has accomplished. The other thing that made me feel very comfortable with this transition to programming was the was the way milieu was ran. When you have 16 girls with 16 different reasonings of why they are admitted can easily create cauois but the staff really created an environment where the girls can grow safely and effectively. But also not to forget the girls really were their for eachother like a sisterhood. The only reason why I chose not to give 5 stars to New Haven was because it is not finaclially maintainable if insurance runs out and have no other source of funding it is very expensive. Although her therapist really advocated for her our Insurance dropped us and we had to leave before the program was completed. If I had to recommend a RTC for your daughter I highly recommend New Haven. My son was arrested due to his mental illness. In a frustrating system, Natalia was a shining light who worked hard to help my son get treatment instead of prison. She wrote multiple letters to the judge, New Roads came out and did assessments and validated my questions and concerns. If the actual facility listens and cares like she did, I am sure the place would be amazing. It came highly recommended to me from various parents whose loved one's were able to recover, thanks to New Roads. I truly wish my son could have received the help that he needs from a place like this.
