In an intimate, mou | Treatments Programs Payment Options | When I first came to Alpine, I was tired of being sick and exhausted from Alcoholism.
I had the privilege of working with Montana. She made the intake process easy and met me where I was at.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Austin, who made the intake process relaxed and chill, and I felt safe.
I met the doctor on my first day who was through and knew what he was doing, and he got me on medications that worked!
I have had the privilege of working with Shannon, who is phenomenal. She is the kind of gal who knows what’s up and will tell you the truth in the most honest and loving way. She led classes that were beneficial and educational.
Jake is a fantastic therapist, and you are blessed if you are on his caseload. He is a man full of knowledge, wisdom and empathy. I’ve never worked with a male therapist before and I felt safe within our first session.
Heather who handles case management is doing God’s work. No seriously. She answered all my questions, made sure all of my outside stuff was handled and made discharge planning a breeze.
Process group is essential in my opinion and Ami, Kelli, Will and Jake made me feel at ease sharing.
If your looking for a treatment center, look know further. Alpine has helped me tremendously and I cannot thank them enough.
Also, the mentors are terrific. Kelsie, Sara, Hans and Austin made a positive impact on me during my time at Alpine and I cannot thank them enough. They are living proof that sobriety is achievable and that the light comes back.
Special shout out to Laura for being a phenomenal house manager. She is wonderful and if you get a chance to cross paths with her you will be amazed.

Deer Hollow is a wonderful place. So many talented therapists are here! I had a wonderful experience in residential, it was tough and the most transformative experience of my life. Outpatient didn't seem to have the same level of intensive therapeutic approaches in the group setting, in comparison to residential. Outpatient was also more disorganized than residential. Group cohesion was something the therapists struggled to manage at times (in outpatient). Many conflicts in the group were left unresolved and continued to grow, despite individuals voicing how others were impacting them (using parts language, DBT DEAR MAN, etc.). While I'm sure everyone has the same/comparable training, outpatient didn't incorporate psychodrama as much as residential, nor did it do as deep work within IFS, which was unfortunate as I found the most positive transformation with psychodrama & IFS. Yes, there was a lot of psychoeducation regarding IFS in outpatient, but actual experiential exercises weren't as common from my experience. Also, there is a therapist in outpatient who has some tendencies that lean towards a God complex, and wanting to push people in a way that isn't trauma-informed. This was a part that I observed in this therapist's behaviors, which was really difficult to navigate as the client. This specific therapist isn't that way all of the time (that God complex part isn't always activated) but there were times that were heavily guided by their own desire to be of importance. I understand most people in helping professions have a helper part, but this part in this therapist was pretty extreme, I can see how it motivates the therapist to do better and continuously improve, but to a point where it occasionally leads to a lack of unconditional positive regard and places outcomes over the process. Again, this person isn't defined that part but it came up and impacted my treatment. I still think every therapist here is extremely talented, but I believe that feedback-informed treatment (FIT) should be considered when guiding treatment. I am not looking for a rationalization for these occurrences, I am just trying to voice my experience as there were moments in outpatient that were more harmful than helpful. But overall, my experiences at Deer Hollow were transformative and helpful for my healing. If someone is going to go, I highly recommend doing residential first as it was a completely different experience than outpatient, and residential offered so much more intensive healing work. I hope that my experiences are honored and respected, and that this is taken with the integration of the whole perspective with the good parts and the more challenging parts (within myself of course, but also within the organization as a whole). Sending lot of peace, compassion and gratitude, as I know for a fact I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for the healing I received at Deer Hollow.

Next Level Recovery stands out from traditional substance abuse programs by not only providing education and cessation strategies but also offering a unique experience. When you reach out in search of a sober living environment, you are greeted by Mike Brown himself, a compassionate individual who has played a pivotal role in my journey to recovery. I have had the privilege of residing in his sober living houses on two separate occasions, as well as participating in his intensive outpatient program.
Mike Brown has proven to be more than just a supporter. Moreover, when I discovered I was pregnant, I reached out to Mike, and he swiftly arranged for me to move into one of his finest sober living houses within a few hours. His dedication to my well-being is a testament to his genuinely admirable character.
Furthermore, Mike's wife (whom I haven’t met) shares his passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere in the sober living houses. She invests her energy into decorating these spaces, aiming to transform them into genuine homes. Their commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in recovery is commendable.
My journey towards sobriety has spanned an extended period, during which I have undergone a profound transformation in both my lifestyle and mindset. While Next Level Recovery played an instrumental role in my progress, the true catalyst for change was the experience of residing in their sober living houses. These environments foster personal growth by allowing individuals to take ownership of their lives while also providing essential resources for those struggling.
A well-designed sober living program should never be overly controlling, but rather empower individuals to learn how to care for themselves. However, it should also offer a safety net to prevent anyone from falling into the depths of despair. Next Level Recovery understands this delicate balance and ensures that residents are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive independently while offering support when needed.

Please proofread your reviews!! Incoherent rants do not help anyone determine anything about this place, it only makes the reviewer look like an idiot who can’t even write a proper English sentence. You are doing a disservice to everyone who might really need help determining which clinic is right for them. This is a serious medical decision that people are making that could have life and death consequences so please take your reviews more seriously and re-read them for spelling and grammatical errors. I spent one year at youth care in Alpine house in 2008. I later completed another year with pine ridge academy thier sister step down facility. At youth care my therapist was kelly, at pine ridge my therapist was Kathy. Kelly is exceedingly qualified and she was very personal in her approach. I would highly recommend her for adolescent trauma like assault and abuse, as well as topics like self harm and eating disorders. All students learn DBT, behavior chain analysis, and cognitive counseling .
Mike, Moe, Jesse, and cameron were some of the most memorable care givers. I always felt safe when Mike was working because you knew that nothing would get past him. Moe has a very therapeutic way of communication and is very mindful working with abuse survivors. Cameron is very good at establishing routine and structure for those of us who have truancy issues. Jesse was good at therapeutic play and being a very good listener, she loves SpongeBob and reminded us that while we carry a heavy weight we are all just kids at the end of the day.
Youth care and pine ridge saved my life.

EDIT: It's been almost a year since my last review & I wanted to update it again. I love this place and & the people. Unfortunately, Jerry, who was the owner, had to sell. I met the new owner & he seemed very nice but omg the new systems they're implementing are just so awful & annoying & frustrating. Before we would come in & Susan, the receptionist, who is so sweet, kind, smart, & efficient, would get us checked in & we could literally be in & out in like 3 minutes for real. Now they make u check in on a tablet & there's a TV where they put your # when you're allowed to go back & see Jeff, (the one who gives u your dose). I hate it for a couple reasons, #1- it slows things down A LOT!!! There is always a wait now & it is no longer in & out. #2- it makes u feel like your at the DMV! Waiting for your # to be called, you're not a person, you're a # & it feels so clinical & impersonal. Now one of the things I do like & really appreciate that they've done is if u miss your counseling apt they give u a week to do a group & if u do u don't have to pay a fine. Which I really appreciate. Last Monday the while morning was going awful & all these things came up & I totally spaced & felt so bad about missing my apt but am so grateful I am able to make it up! I'm also grateful Jerry is still there & I still have him as my counselor, he is a wonderful person who u can tell really cares about everyone & never judges. & I'm also so glad Susan is there & Jeff. Jeff is the nurse who gives u your dose, who is also one of my favorite people there. He is so kind, efficient & I love coming every day & getting to see Susan & Jeff cuz they're such wonderful people & I hope they never leave!!! Diane is another staff member who has been there for years & is such an amazing person. As a matter of fact, all the staff there is amazing & I'm grateful to have such wonderful people to be there & support me in my recovery journey. So even though I really don't like the new system (& talking to others, everyone else hates it too & were kind of hoping they'll do away with it after a while when they see how much it slows things down) I will still continue with, I guess it's called True North now because of the people there.

I would recommend Serenity in Riverton to any mom struggling with depression, anxiety, or OCD. All of the therapists there are very caring and want their clients to know how amazing they are and want them to feel better. I participated in the OCD/anxiety IOP, and had a great experience. Being surrounded by other moms who were also struggling was so empowering as we learned coping skills for OCD and how to deal with it head on. The child care that is provided during IOP was wonderful and my child loved going there. Morgan Slade, is one of the therapists there, and I would recommend her to any mom that needs OCD treatment. I have seen many therapists in the past, but from my first consult with Morgan, I could tell she was very caring and compassionate for her clients and wanted them to succeed. Honestly, Serenity helped me get through one of the hardest years and I am so grateful for that. It is an amazing healing center for moms.

There truly aren’t enough words to express how incredible my experience with Serenity has been and continues to be. I highly recommend the outpatient program. While individual therapy is always helpful, I found the group setting to be even more effective and transformative. One of my favorite things about Serenity is that the support doesn’t end when the program does. Lindsey in admissions is a god send! A family member was scheduled to be released and go to rehab but somehow the rehab got their paperwork all screwed up. Lindsay called the big boss and made things work. She is a pure example of caring for the patients. Thank you so much Lindsay!

This place just knows how to detox someone. My wife is there now and I could not be happier with the philosophy and treatment of a detoxing addict. The staff is incredable they treat you with dignity and respect (the two things imparitive for a successful stay). They just truely get it. I am so impressed with this place I would recommend it to anyone. They take care of your every need and the staff truely cares about your well being. Thank you so much New Visions for making a horrible time in my wife's life bearable and doable. You guys are awesome.

Dr. Nathan Richards and his PA Dr. Nazaneen quite literally saved my life. They are so knowledgeable about the disorder I was diagnosed with (MALS) and they have made sure to completely educate their staff on the horrific experiences and conditions people with this disease have been living with. This caused every single person I interacted with to be very positive experience.
Nurse William was particularly incredible. He was empathetic, supportive, knowledgeable, and just a very positive person to be around while trying to recover. Kari and Janiee (I’m so sorry I know I’m spelling your name incorrectly) were also so sweet and had the most incredible bedside manners.
After years of being treated like a burden or a plague by the medical community while trying to get my health fixed, it was so amazing to have a positive experience and to be treated like a human being that matters.
I will forever be grateful for every single one of you in my medical team. Thank you for giving me hope and for giving me my life back.

Like John G, in the reviews, I too was on the wrong track. Jack the owner was a pompous jack ass but the school and for the most part the teachers and councilors were doing their best. Most graduates of BYU and Mormons. As a 16 year old with no clear idea of life and definitely any idea of what or how to move forward and be a productive person. The school taught me how to set goals and gave me the confidence to take control of my life and learn that I could be productive and enjoy life by developing self discipline and how important and rewarding life could and should be. Nothing is perfect and I had my reservations at times especially with Jack but I learned how to deal with it and by being in a structured environment I grew up and became a more productive and responsible adult. Thank you mom and dad for loving me and I am thankful for the opportunity of being privileged to go here and finding myself. I hope and pray other boys will have the same benefit I did. Provo taught me how to set goals and above all else, like myself and develop a positive self concept. Get the best from opportunities, you weren't doing anything else anyway. :)

I was at PCS in 1982-83. I was a troubled youth growing up in Chicago. I was 12 yrs old when I started going south with my life, substances, liquor, criminal activity and such. Did a stint in juvy for armed robbery and it just kept getting worse due to my choices in my life at that time. I have good parents and siblings but somehow I was just not making the grade in life. At 16 I was sent to PCS. Wasn't to thrilled about being locked up with a bunch of dudes from all over the country. Long story short, My grades went from F's to A's, the teachers there were great. The class sizes were much smaller than the public schools in Chicago, the teachers here gave a d##. My therapist even let me come into his home for Christmas once I got to the level 3&4 in the program. Staff took me out of there to hang out with them at BYU activities. So I learned that I was an ok young man, people did like me I wasn't as bad as I thought I was. I took my SAT,s there and got accepted at USU in Logan,UT. Point is it did stink alot of the time, I missed my family, but I learned self discipline and another (better) way of living. I'm still alive at 58 yrs old. If I didn't come here I would have died before I turned 18, either from violence, drugs or liquor. I look back now and I thank God for that part of my life.you get out of it what you put into it.

Ok,
I was at provo from February to October, 2024. I had a good experience. This place gave me a shot that I was never given before. My therapist was amazing and everyone worked tirelessly to become the successful adult I am today. The clinical department is very thorough and cares deeply about the well being of the teens there. What you put into therapy you get out of it. Most of the morning staff and swing A staff were very patient and empathetic towards all of us whether we showed behaviors or didn't. Shout out to maula and Osha!!
Swing B management needs work. The staff on swing B that I had been in contact with were not trained well and sided with their staff because the teen can't have feelings on how something is run.
Hope the grievance lady is amazing, and was there through all of the issues me and others have had and still have. She really puts her energy into trying to fix the issues.
The school is helpful, I actually graduated earlier than I would have due to getting credits early. I learned a lot and the teachers are really patient, funny, and understanding.
Look this place can seem like a living hell, but half the time it's not the staffs fault. It's the kids. And sadly every teen there is there for a reason.
