If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! They helped me with better parenting skills but I was able to fight my addiction and I have been sober since July 1st 2021. Special shout out to Shawna my counselor and Jessica my therapist. Also thank you all the other counselors and teachers for your amazing support through one of the most difficult times of my life.

Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. ParentCare is a wonderful, healing place with caring staff.

I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I know how hard I struggled and for anyone reading this or questioning a start, I highly recommend this team. I am eternally grateful for my experience there.

Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

The group processing has been life changing for me. I’m getting so much from what I’m learning about the disease of alcoholism and how to how much alcohol has Distorted Reality. I’m learning to face life and how using alcohol to escape problems has only made my life easier.

Expressing gratitude for Akua Mind and Body. I am going in 3yrs of sobriety and could not have found this path without the care I received at the Akua in-house treatment facility. Staff works hard to maintain a trustful and safe environment to learn and work on deep rooted issues that come with addictive behaviors. From my counselor Javier’s one liners always telling me, “take those small wins Dave” to my therapist coming up with a game plan to address issues wether there from your childhood or more recent. Huge shout out to Chef Becca that is a 1 women army and plays a huge role in nourishing in-house residents back to health and clear thinking with her delicious food. Would love to make a guest appearance as your sous chef any day Becca (if you see this🙏🏽). The road to sustainable recovery doesn’t stop when you coin out as a resident. Akua’s after care program aka “Akua Alumni” has played a pivotal role in my continued sobriety. The Thursday Akua Alumni 12 step meeting provides a home group meeting for me where I know I can listen, be heard or just because I’m broke and want free food cooked by chef Becca🤣. But seriously I’ve been through a lot of “changing of the guards” in terms of leadership for the alumni program. I love and appreciate everyone that has blessed us with their time, care and love (you know who you are) but today I can say that the culture and vibe with in-house peeps and alumni peeps is the strongest that I’ve seen. Big Thanks to Kersey for being an amazing coordinator that hired on during what I would call a rough patch. She has assembled and empowered key players (you know who you are) that have filled a void and a much needed heart beat to keep our meetings and activities fun, interesting and cost friendly if not free to our diverse Akua family. Thanks to everyone at Akua from top to bottom and all my Akua family that listen and support me through this journey. If you are reading this and yourself or someone you know is struggling with addiction, mental health, co dependency ect. I recommend reaching out to Akua as a recource for treatment. If they don’t have an answer for you they will get you to the right place.

Ive been to Sharp Mesa Vista several times for treatment. They turned my life around and provided top notch care. It is a comfortable friendly environment and the staff and nurses are wonderful!!

I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. He chose his recovery center And he was there because he wanted to be there not because he wanted to be Not because he had to be there. He was not the easiest patient in the beginning, but he stuck it out because Made him feel comfortable as they treated him like family. His big guy there since January 5. And they have truly been a blessing to our family Him get through his addictions, his mental state, they have great counselors Psychiatrist they have been a blessing. He is now changed man and a great husband And grandfather, I’m truthfully grateful Of your help I love you all!! My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. I finally feel like I have my dad back and could not be more thankful for the staff and everyone else included, truly. My name is Susan, and I’m a recovering alcoholic and addict. I recently completed a stay at Restore Detox in Poway, and I can honestly say they helped save my life. Restore is truly a special place. The home is beautiful and peaceful, set up to host only six clients at a time, which creates an intimate, family-like atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I felt safe, supported, and understood. The staff is not only professional and knowledgeable, but they are also compassionate and genuinely invested in each person’s recovery. The amenities at Restore go far beyond what I expected. There’s a pool, hot tub, and even a pickleball court right on the property. They also bring in a personal trainer and offer yoga sessions, which really helped me reconnect with my body and start healing physically as well as emotionally. I was recently treated at Restore Detox Center and it changed my life. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I met and made friends with fellow recovery patients. It’s in a beautiful facility in the suburbs of San Diego. Restore has a wonderful, peaceful recovery environment with all the nice living amenities. It feels like one big family there. They give you all the tools you need to live a happy, productive, prosperous sober life. And the proprietor of Restore Detox Center, Steven Ginsburg, is a great guy that really cares about helping people. I’d recommend Restore Detox Center to anybody that needs help.

I just graduated and it helped me figure out were I wanted to be in life and helped me understand myself as well as how I wanted to treat my fellow people and significant other they offer so many things other places don't therapy and couples therapy one on one and staff is amazing from counselors to bht even in detox they did so much and I loved it thank you so much❤️

LJR was everything I needed to get my head on straight. I went from “I’ll stay sober a year and be back on my bs” to “I can’t ever go back to that life”. Im 8 months sober so far and people still tell me I seem so much happier. This alcohol detox San Diego substance abuse rehabilitation center saved my life. It was unlike the other California drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers that I attended prior. Their medical doctors provided me with a detailed treatment plan. This plan started at their alcohol detox centers San Diego then put me into their inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. This is where their treatment process differed. They performed a dual diagnosis. This got to the root of my addiction. I had several co-occurring disorders that were left untreated by other addiction treatment centers. While in the residential inpatient program I had one on one meetings with their credentialed substance abuse counselors. These sessions were difficult but helped me address my addiction problems head on. I have been clean for 6 months and finally am getting my life back. Thank you, Harmony Grove Recovery.

Harmony Grove Recovery is the best alcohol rehab in San Diego hands down. Their alcohol detox San Diego program is medically supervised. They gave me medication assisted treatment that not only reduced the painful withdrawal that I usually experience, but they almost eliminated it. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days. After completing that, I went to their residential inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. I highly recommend this California drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.

HGR Mental Health Services is absolutely life saving. The staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable in many different mental illnesses and disorders. Their staff specializes in truly understanding the brain and how everything is affected. They are proficient in educating individuals on many different tools they can utilize to work through traumas and triggers. I really recommend to anyone that needs the help.

I went through this program 10 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I still miss it there, God is in this place.

This place helped me overcome my trauma and I left there feeling lighter! The staff here really cares! I want to give a huge shout out to my care team! Dr. Vejar did an amazing job with my family sessions. Anna was AMAZING and really changed my life. The EMDR sessions with her were really effective! I also want to give a shout out to the RA staff they were very friendly. It also helped that a lot of the staff there is in recovery themselves. Lastly I want to thanks the chefs for accommodating my diet they really went above and beyond!

It has been a little over 4 years since going to Aton. I have been off drugs since attending Aton. Aton gave me my life back. And now I work at a wonderful rehab giving back and savings lives.
