About AToN Center

One unique thing about this location is that it offers alternatives to the traditional 12 Step program. Some of those non-12 Step treatments include SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, LifeRing, Celebrate Recovery and more. We also offer physical fitness and meditation. Amenities at this facility include a pool, a jacuzzi and an onsite chef.

During rehabilitation, staff members will use a combination of Eastern holistic healing techniques and Western recovery practices to help clients with their addiction. Some of the evidence based treatments that are available at AToN Center are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other similar therapeutic approaches. Clients will receive 24/7 support from the staff, with regular review of the treatment plan to make necessary adjustments. Patients will participate in three holistic treatment sessions per week. These treatments may include acupuncture, massage therapy, hypnotherapy, personal training and yoga. AToN Center uses holistic medicine to help promote self healing.

Most residents will stay at the facility for 30 to 45 days, with the timeline varying based on an individual’s specific needs and goals. If a client is suffering from a more severe form of addiction, they may need to stay at the facility longer. Residents will be able to have access to their electronics to stay in contact with friends and family.

Aton has the most beneficial, overall program in place for true care of your mind, body and spirit. I came here unaware of how all of the services would come together and it was unbelievable to me that this team of people can help someone like me start over again. From the owners, who are constantly even making improvements, while I was in care, to the staff, to the level of nutrition and balance in therapeutical work, to small group work, and all of the self work you complete . Aton is a blessing and teaches you there is a way of life that can add years on to your own, and in only 30 days as well, that is incredible. This, by far, was the best thing I could have gifted myself. Their determination to be available for whatever may come up, their staff, their respect and courtesy, their consistency to assist with your insurance issues… well, Aton leaves nothing unaddressed for your needs and even assisting with your family’s needs. This has been my saving grace and I am determined to use all of the skills and aftercare tools that have been provided to me, some of which I didn’t even know existed. Thank you Aton for allowing me to be a part of something bigger than myself. Aton cares for you almost as if you are a part of their family, but in the most professional way I have ever experienced. Aton made space for me to get myself back and helped me heal in a way I never knew was possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I had a life changing experience at Aton, and would highly recommend to anyone that is ready to get the recovery treatment they deserve. The strategy of addressing the root issues leading to substance abuse, Five 1:1 sessions per week! and most of all the people who are qualified and caring, make this a safe and effective space to achieve your recovery goals.

This place helped me overcome my trauma and I left there feeling lighter! The staff here really cares! I want to give a huge shout out to my care team! Dr. Vejar did an amazing job with my family sessions. Anna was AMAZING and really changed my life. The EMDR sessions with her were really effective! I also want to give a shout out to the RA staff they were very friendly. It also helped that a lot of the staff there is in recovery themselves. Lastly I want to thanks the chefs for accommodating my diet they really went above and beyond!

So happy to hear what a great experience you had with us and we are truly honored that you appreciate our staff as much as we do! Being able to deal with the underlying co-occurring disorders, and not just the substance use, is so important in the healing process. Keep up the good work in your recovery!

Accepted Insurance

AToN Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

12-step icon12-Step

AToN Center's 12 step rehab programming recognizes that education on the most widely used recovery tool in the industry is, and should be a core programming component for any addiction treatment center. The facility believes that a person’s choice of which type of community support meetings they attend should be an informed one. That is why we explain recovery concepts from an integrated perspective, discussing the tenets of AToN Center's philosophy and the 12 Step philosophy.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

AToN Center specializes in the treatment of substance abuse & co-occurring disorders. Their integrated services approach offers each client the opportunity to engage in a variety of addiction treatment methods. the facility conducts three hours of group therapy and one hour of individual therapy daily. Family sessions are also offered and encouraged. It is their belief that a “one size fits all” approach to addiction recovery can be ineffective, and that each client deserves the opportunity to experience a multitude of therapeutic approaches - known as holistic addiction treatment - in order to create a treatment plan that best fits their unique needs and experiences.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. You can expect clinicians to utilize evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you achieve and sustain your recovery. The rehab's clinical team can provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and medical support you may need.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

The goal of couples therapy in California is to strengthen the couple's relationship. The therapist may take one or more approaches to counseling which may include the Gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic couple's therapy.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

I really wanted to like this program because the concept and some parts of it were good, and I appreciate the effort put into helping people. However, my personal experience was very disappointing and felt unfair. During a therapy group, I was trying to use my coping skills to stabilize myself—covering my face with a pillow—because I needed that space to process. Instead of support or understanding, I was told to remove myself and then kicked out before I even had a chance to calm down. This approach felt harsh and unbalanced. I’m also a Black male, and while I don’t want to make this about race explicitly, I can’t help but wonder if that played a part in how quickly I was judged and removed without being given a real opportunity to work through my emotions or make changes. The program has potential, but the way they handled my situation left me feeling unsupported and punished rather than helped. I believe a more compassionate, patient approach would make a huge difference. Regardless I don’t think I should have been kicked out.

I joined AToN right after covid and I thank God for this place every single day of my life hence, why im writing this review. I am almost 3 years sober now and have this place to thank. AToN saved my life and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The care, activities and exercises for strengthening your mind, body and soul are truly a God send. My family sought out to provide the best care I can possibly have to start my sober journey, after an intense battle with alcohol, AToN is where I landed. Thanks to them and this program, i had a rebirth and my life has changed drastically. If you're looking for a way out and need to make life changing decisions, look no further! This place will change your life! Thank you AToN 🙏

Aton was an amazing place I would refer to anyone needing treatment. There wasn’t a single staff member who was rude, great therapists, very clean facility, fast response from doctors, amazing case worker that will help set you up for aftercare anywhere in the country, and top notch holistics. Unfortunately I’ve been to many rehabs and no where even holds a candle to this place. Would only send my family or friends here. Thank you ATON!

This place was life changing. I found ATON after a recent life upheaval left me drinking like crazy and unable to dig myself out of a deep depression. I went in a total empty shell of a person , and left there FOREVER changed! ATON’s focus on dealing with WHY you struggle with addiction rather than just putting a bandaid over it .. is the only reason I am thriving today. I had been to a rehab 3 years prior and saw what makes ATON so different than ANY OTHER program. First off, you are in such BEAUTIFUL surroundings, staff is there 24 hrs a day to make sure you have what you need and lastly .. constant therapy and holistics to make sure your mind, body, and soul are all being treated. The staff would have the jacuzzi and coffee ready for me by 5am. I would listen to my music or podcasts while watching the sunrise In this gorgeous backyard. Then do a cold plunge in the pool. It was so peaceful and put me into a routine I would carry on when I got home. The food is top notch and they accommodate ANY recommendations you ask for. The therapists genuinely care and listen. They are all working together to make sure you are on a path to recovery once you leave…and prep you for what comes after. Breana was AMAZING in dealing with your aftercare She lined me up with therapists for me AND my daughter. Did all the legwork with insurance etc. I was able to just focus on ME. Kiyana and the rest of my team helped me deal with the root of my struggles .. that went BEYOND just drinking. I left there completely changed! It’s been over 3 months and I still sit down and go through my big binder of notes from our daily therapy sessions. I Kept up my daily routine of self care and taking time Out. My kids and family can’t believe what a changed person I am. I just couldn’t be more grateful to this place. I would HIGHLY recommend this program to ANYONE… as long as you go in ready to change and do the work … you’ll never be the same. I owe my life to ATON

Response from the owner
