I am so blessed to be able to experience such an amazing place and people. I called and spoke with Elliot. He made the intake process easy for me. Even throughout my time there, he was on top of his game with my paperwork and answered all my question regarding insurnace and EDD. Angel had me look at the world from a different view which helped me gain insight into what I had control of. I plan on continuing to see her after I leave. Nicolas was amazing. He did an amazing job facilitating groups and very knowledgeable. Thank you so much for everything. If anyone is looking for a place to find help, this is the place. Look no further than Mindful.

Kick ass, down to earth, mind , body and spiritual experience. Small program but individualized for personal growth. My trip there was some what short due to needing a higher level of care....but I will return for PHP and IOP. Elliot: Right from the first phone call, Elliot clearly articulated the therapeutic approach, making me feel confident. He emphasized both group and individual therapy, which was exactly what I needed. Nicholas: As a facilitator, psychologist, guru, and teacher led with experience . Nicholas felt like a guide, he helped me tune into my inner self, enabling me to make better decisions. His presence was transformative. Angel: Angel, my therapist, didn’t give me answers, she guided me inward. Her support was constant, and she advocated for my transition to a higher level of care. Megan: The bodybuilding doctor next door, Megan, got me moving! I wasn’t one for working out, but her energy and care had me feeling so good, I even attempted to give back by cleaning the windows. Lol I actually ruined the sticker with her logo and she took it with a grain of salt. I will replace it . (^-^) Every interaction was tailored, making this program truly special. I have learned so much and they allowed me to grow towards the goals I've wanted to have for years. Not at all the sit and be bored type of atmosphere. More like sit, share, breath, learn , walk, have fun, place to cry, safe place to be, and a spot where I got totally honest for the first time in many moons. I strive to be better by their guidance and compationate ways they have taught me what to do.

West Coast Recovery saved my life. The staff was amazing, and I am beyond grateful to them all. They really care about the work that they do, and they do it well. The fellowship was excellent, the classes were informative and well organized, my case manager rocked, and my therapist was extremely helpful. West Coast provided me the tools to feel confident about living sober. I can’t thank them enough.

. I read many of the reviews here and the negative comments seemed to come from people who are either recovery Nazis -bashing MAT services- or people who may have had a personal grudge. If you try some of the other places from San Marcos or Escondido, youll have no doubt, this is the most compassionate and most professionally run clinic in North county, if not the entire San Diego region. Other clinics can keep you waiting for well over an hour because the nurses are either at lunch, or too busy. Also, security keeps the parking lot clean and safe from the homeless drug dealers, where other places simply ignore the problem. SOAP MAT cares and it shows!

This place is predatory, as in they are money hungry and prey on addicts under the guise of helping them. They are only friendly to you when you are paying them; anytime after that, they will treat you with disrespect and intimidation. They use outdated statistical information and attempt to brainwash you into being dependent on them. While there is a lot of useful information and services they can direct you toward, this third party company is only interested in taking your money and treating you as less-than-human. In my experience, Dale Walters, the in-take coordinator and class teacher, was only friendly toward me when I was paying him money for the program. Afterward, he treated me with disrespect by insulting me in front of the rest of the class, talking to me as if I were five years old and consistently disregarding my personal space by knocking over my water bottle and saying, "oh, I don't care about anything beneath my knees." This has been my experience and I hope it helps shed light on the poor practices of this company and its employees.

There’s a kitchen on site, though I’m not sure if it’s open right now since they’re remodeling. Parking is plentiful, so it’s easy to get in and out. Best Crisis home in San Diego! Staff are super nice, relatable, and forgiving (Shout out to Ivan!) if you mess up and relapse on the property. They gave me a second chance. They truly care about your mental health and addiction recovery progress. The clients were all nice, some of them had a lil bit of drama towards certain people, but that's everywhere, I just stayed respectful and out the way, that's how you get along with everyone. They also take you to walks on the beach, which is therapeutical!

This review is for AUDREY & ROSA — two truly outstanding professionals. Audrey has been an incredible part of my experience for over 10 years, and I can say without hesitation that she’s one of the most reliable, dedicated, and hard-working people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She brings not only professionalism but also a kind heart to everything she does. Audrey goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel cared for — from making appointment scheduling easy to consistently sending reminders and communicating clearly. Her attention to detail and genuine compassion are evident in everything she does. She is an absolute asset, and NCMH is very fortunate to have her as a long-standing, trusted member of the team. I also want to recognize ROSA — what an amazing addition to the team! Though newer to MCMH, Rosa is already making a strong impression. She handles the demands of this sometimes stressful field with such grace and a positive attitude. She’s always warm, welcoming, and keeps things running smoothly alongside Audrey. Together, they make an incredible team that contributes so much to creating a professional, organized, and comforting environment for both patients and staff. To both of you: please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. On the tough days, remember how valued you are. Your dedication truly makes a difference — and it’s deeply appreciated.

I don't know why some people are bad mouthing TLM other than they are ungrateful selfish brats. I've been clean since 2016. I'm grateful for Lewis and his staff. They work hard to make a difference in people's lives. They care about others but if you don't care about yourself then don't expect others to pity you. Lewis will take the shirt off his back for anyone as long as you're willing to help yourself too. Lewis and his staff have big hearts at least when I went there and I can't imagine that much has changed. I never knew Lewis to allow lying, stealing, drugs, let alone cheating or anything bad of any sort. Last I knew, their were rules everyone had to abide by. The food was delicious. Lewis charged a fee for in-house living. Nothing is free. Lewis would even make arrangements to work with you on the fees so I don't want to hear all the rude, nasty comments and negative input written on the reviews from the imbeciles whom have bad mouth TLM. They obviously have no respect, no integrity, let alone dignity. If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all because TLM is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone 100% especially if you want to get clean or sober. I lived through it and so can you. I'm literally a different person because of TLM. I'm grateful for the life's lessons I learned at TLM. My life is 💯 better than ever because of TLM. Elizabeth Clark

Lewis is the hardest working guy I know and he is 100% the most dedicated to helping others who struggle with addiction and/ or mental health. He is the real deal, he truly cares and he’ll stop at nothing to help someone succeed. He’s also the best cook and will make sure you are eating good, and the food is the best. He helped me and I’ve seen him help so many others over the years.

My experience at Oceanridge Treatment and Recovery was nothing short of phenomenal. From day one, the entire team treated me with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. They created an environment where I felt supported, respected, and motivated throughout my recovery journey. A special thank you goes to Victoria, Simon, and Tom, who were absolutely instrumental in helping me complete the program. To be completely honest, I don't think I would have made it past the first two weeks without Victoria. Her support, encouragement, and ability to genuinely connect with clients made all the difference during some of the toughest moments of my stay. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met and never hesitated to help when I needed guidance. Simon was equally invaluable throughout my journey. His dedication, professionalism, and willingness to step in whenever support was needed played a huge role in keeping me on track. Together, Victoria and Simon created a level of support that made me feel like I wasn't fighting this battle alone. Tom also deserves a huge shoutout. Not only was he an important part of the team and my success in the program, but he's also a kick-ass cook. The meals were consistently excellent and gave everyone something to look forward to each day. It's hard to overstate how much good food and a positive atmosphere can improve the treatment experience, and Tom absolutely delivered on both. I'd also like to recognize Shawn, Paul, Zac, and Brent for the positive impact they had on my experience. Each of them brought their own strengths, support, and encouragement to the program, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. The sense of community and care they helped create made Oceanridge feel like much more than just a treatment center. A very special thank you goes to my therapist, Yesmeen. She was sincerely invested in helping us experience a genuine healing transformation, not just complete a program. Her compassion, insight, and commitment to helping clients grow and heal were evident in every interaction. She challenged me when I needed it, supported me when I struggled, and played a significant role in my recovery journey. The staff at Oceanridge truly care about the people they serve, and it shows in everything they do. I am incredibly grateful for the support I received and for the impact Victoria, Simon, Tom, Shawn, Paul, Zac, Brent, and Yesmeen had on my recovery. I would highly recommend Oceanridge to anyone seeking quality treatment, outstanding staff, and a team that genuinely invests in your success.

Attending Ocean Ridge was an educational, individualized, accommodating, and loving experience. The staff here will go the extra mile for you and leave you feeling confident and aware of how to proceed with your life in a healthy way. This was the first treatment facility (out of 5) I’ve been to that left me not wanting to leave, which is a testament to the experience they provided me during a time of need. The facilities are stellar and you will absolutely love the food Tom makes. I would recommend this place to those closest to me in my life. It’s not an experience you will regret undertaking. I’m very grateful for the services they provided me and have to give a special shoutout to Torrie, Brent, Ashley, Paul, and Simon. Every staff member here is phenomenal, but truly felt the love from these ones. Ocean Ridge will get the job done for you in an educational and thorough way. They certainly did for me, and I also watched it happen for others while here.

South Shores Recovery is a dual-diagnosis drug rehab and substance use treatment facility in Dana Point, California. They serve adult men and women with detox and outpatient programs.. The treatment center creates a trauma-informed individualized curriculum for every client, comprising conventional, evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavior
Excellent treatment program! Inpatient care with the feel of home! I just spent six weeks in treatment with these wonderful people and I cannot speak highly enough to describe the care I received. Literally, from the first phone call, through treatment and discharge, my needs came first. The staff were amazing. The groups were relevant and extremely beneficial. Accomodations were very comfortable. Most important for me, I'm at home with 48 days of sobriety and I'm equipped with the tools necessary to have a great chance of staying that way. If you are suffering from addiction like I was, please give South Shores Recovery a call. You will not regret it!

I spent 46 days at South Shores and it was the best choice and investment in my life. The staff is very professional and friendly and I miss them all very much. The program is well structured and gives you the tools you need for sobriety. I highly recommend South Shores for anyone who is struggling with addiction because it works. I love my new sober life, and I have South Shores to thank for that.

Update: I’m 97 days sober. I spent 70ish days at South Shores and came home with a full relapse prevention plan. I’m involved in an online outpatient program, I’m in therapy and I regularly attend meetings. I am in a group chat with my peers and I’m thriving in my recovery. Life is not perfect but I feel so amazing. I could not imagine doing this well in any other program. Best recovery experience ever! This is my second time in rehab and South Shores really works on your mind, body and soul. I am 18 days sober. I feel amazing! Detox was great and I came off the detox meds early. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They support you and your recovery every step of the way. The food might be my only complaint. I love the variety of meetings. I’m an alcoholic but not everyone here is an alcoholic so we went to other meetings so that everyone could experience something specific for their addiction. I love this place.

AToN Center is an addiction rehabilitation facility for adults aged 18 or older in Encinitas, California. They provide substance use programs that are tailored to an individual’s specific needs. Their services are a combination of group activities, medication regimens, and mental health support. Clients will participate in five individual therapy
I cannot recommend AToN Center highly enough. Jim and Patricia founded AToN for deeply personal reasons, and their commitment to creating a supportive, evidence-based, individualized, empowering, and holistic treatment experience definitely shows. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe and supported, and I was treated with dignity and respect. The program emphasizes treating addiction alongside issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions rather than focusing solely on substance use. AToN Center embraces the notions that shame does not promote recovery and a single modality does not successfully meet the needs of every individual who is seeking recovery. AToN is unique in providing individual sessions with licensed mental health providers daily (Monday-Friday), which can include EMDR and IFS/parts work. The family session helped my husband and me move toward healing our relationship. In addition to having group and individual therapy sessions, we had the option of holistic sessions including massage therapy, yoga, personal training, acupuncture, mindfulness/meditation, sound bath, hiking, and (most importantly ;) pickleball. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the chef-prepared meals are delicious and made with care (so much so that I gained 5 pounds haha). Most of the staff seem to have been touched by addiction, and their compassion, curiosity, and encouragement shine through. As a mental health professional, meeting and connecting with other professionals who struggle with addiction and trauma was such a validating experience. Because of horror stories I had heard about other residential treatment centers, I was frightened to go to AToN, but now I couldn't be more grateful (including that my insurance covered treatment). If only this program was available in every state; the world would be a much better place.

AToN is amazing. I think the most amazing thing is that it is not only how beautiful it all is, but how friendly and helpful the staff are.I love the holistic that they offer and the one on one counseling. I have met some really wonderful people there and always felt safe and taken care of.

There are experiences that change the texture of your life — and then there is Aton. I came here not knowing quite what to expect. I am leaving a different person. Not a repaired version of who I was. Someone new. Someone I actually recognize. I have been in all sorts of expensive therapy for twenty years, yet I have never worked with clinicians and staff members of this caliber. The excellence here is real, but what makes it rare is that it lives alongside genuine, unhurried care. It sort of felt revolutionary to discover that people like this exist. The clinical breadth is extraordinary — EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, ACT, hypnotherapy, and hybrid methodologies that meet you exactly where you are and help chart your own path forward. The group sessions deserve their own mention. Capped at six people, they never feel like group therapy in the way you might dread or see in the movies. Each session presents real tools you can actually see yourself using in the the real world, neurobiological explanations of the brain-body connection, Melinda's amazing jokes, and honest conversation about what it actually means to recover, not simply abstain. But Aton understands something most treatment centers don't: healing is not only a mental act. The holistic modalities — massage, acupuncture, personal training, physical therapy, private yoga, and hypnotherapy — are not amenities. They are medicine. And they invite you to receive all of it in a luxurious residential estate setting with lushly landscaped grounds that are, frankly, breathtaking. And the food — I am a committed, health-conscious eater, and Aton's epicurean program is world-class. Not a single lunch or dinner repeated. Breakfasts that feel abundant. And all dietary needs or preferences accommodated. I came to Aton to work on myself. What I didn't expect was to fall into a relationship with myself — and leave with self-love for the first time. That is not a small thing. That is everything. If you are considering Aton: go. Let these people love you and remind you that you are everything!. Whatever version of you arrives, something truer, new, and exceptional is waiting on the other side.

We are so grateful for the care our daughter received at Evolve Cole Ranch. She truly thrived, growing in confidence, accountability, and self-awareness. The facility is beautiful and creates a peaceful, healing environment. There’s also a positive, uplifting energy—it was important to us that treatment felt like support, not punishment, and Cole Ranch delivered. We especially appreciated the small group setting (only about six kids), which allows for individualized attention and meaningful peer connections. She benefited from both traditional therapy (individual, group, and family) and experiential therapies like equine and surf—she can’t wait to surf again! Most importantly, she left with real skills she’s already using at home. We’re incredibly proud of her and deeply thankful to the entire team—especially her therapist, Charlie, who seemed to know exactly how to connect with her. Ermias was great with and Rafa the chef made her laugh and smile. (I’m not sure I can compete with his cooking!). Thank you to everyone at Cole Ranch—you truly changed her life.

My daughter’s mental health symptoms showed up at age thirteen. It seemed like overnight we went from having a typical child who enjoyed spending time with family, playing with friends, reading books, going on outings to just wanting to die. It was a very scary and confusing place for our family. I tried and tried to find providers who could help her. She went to multiple providers and programs with little change. After our insurance changed, we were able to start treatment at Evolve. From the very beginning, I felt that we were in good hands. The staff are well trained and the program is well designed. My daughter’s behaviors and our family’s communication patterns changed dramatically. After four years of feelings as if I had lost my daughter, I have my daughter back. I’m grateful that the providers at Evolve have extensive knowledge and experience with teens with mental health issues, and we finally got the help we needed!

Evolve did wonders for our teen. I'm sure it's hard for them to get reviews as this is such a private matter. The whole process is utterly heartbreaking. You don't end up here because you wanna be here. That being said they worked with us as a family so well. I really liked that. They involve you in the treatment and try to ensure that you will have the tools necessary to help your child continue on their path of healing. The path is BUMPY, and it heartbreaking. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. As a family we are so thankful for the staff at Evolve and the forever impact they have made on our child's life. The skills they shared, our kiddo still uses. Our kiddo really had a connection to the staff. There was also a pet lizard that meant a lot to our kiddo. There's so much I could say about this place. But the biggest is just two words FOREVER THANKFUL.

As someone who was very hesitant to try an impatient program, I couldn’t be happier that I found this gem. Everything from the admissions coordinator (Kim), to the private driver from airport (Todd), to my intake at the house (Hans, Reif, Edith, Josh), to the private chef (Danielle), to the supervisor (Sam), to the case managers and therapists (Robert, Ligi, Jess), everyone made absolute sure that this seemingly scary experience was far from just that. The care/medication management was on point. The private chef cooked some of the testiest meals I have ever consumed. The views of the pacific were absolutely incredible. I used the onsite home gym and hot tub daily. They even had onsite accupuncture and yoga. The group therapy content and material was life changing and foundational in my recovery journey. Each of the 6 bedrooms in the house has a unique vibe and special touch. I was so thankful to have access to my laptop as a working professional, and my phone to stay in touch with friends and family. We even had outings to go shopping, walk the harbor and pier, massages, kayaking, and whale watching. Chapters Capistrano saved my life and will never be forgotten.

Chapters Capistrano is absolutely amazing in every way, starting with the incredible supervisor of the center, Savannah. Her work ethic, inspiring attitude and true care for each patient trickles down to every component of the program, making it the best center I have ever attended. I am forever indebted to Chapters for providing me with the skills and insight I was missing to finally break free from the chains of addiction. Also, the small setting (no more than 6 clients per house) allowed for deeper connections which is so important to early recovery! Thank you to the whole staff for all of their patience and love, the walks on the beach, the outings, getting aftercare set up, getting me on the right meds and the wonderful atmosphere that truly is designed to set the clients up for success!! Thank you all so much!
