Oceanside, California | SOAP MAT is an outpatient opioid addiction recovery facility in Oceanside, California. This is commonly called MAT. This recovery method uses medicine and counseling to | Treatments Programs Payment Options | . I read many of the reviews here and the negative comments seemed to come from people who are either recovery Nazis -bashing MAT services- or people who may have had a personal grudge. If you try some of the other places from San Marcos or Escondido, youll have no doubt, this is the most compassionate and most professionally run clinic in North county, if not the entire San Diego region. Other clinics can keep you waiting for well over an hour because the nurses are either at lunch, or too busy. Also, security keeps the parking lot clean and safe from the homeless drug dealers, where other places simply ignore the problem. SOAP MAT cares and it shows!

This place is predatory, as in they are money hungry and prey on addicts under the guise of helping them. They are only friendly to you when you are paying them; anytime after that, they will treat you with disrespect and intimidation. They use outdated statistical information and attempt to brainwash you into being dependent on them. While there is a lot of useful information and services they can direct you toward, this third party company is only interested in taking your money and treating you as less-than-human.
In my experience, Dale Walters, the in-take coordinator and class teacher, was only friendly toward me when I was paying him money for the program. Afterward, he treated me with disrespect by insulting me in front of the rest of the class, talking to me as if I were five years old and consistently disregarding my personal space by knocking over my water bottle and saying, "oh, I don't care about anything beneath my knees." This has been my experience and I hope it helps shed light on the poor practices of this company and its employees.

Best Crisis home in San Diego! Staff are super nice, relatable, and forgiving (Shout out to Ivan!) if you mess up and relapse on the property. They gave me a second chance. They truly care about your mental health and addiction recovery progress. The clients were all nice, some of them had a lil bit of drama towards certain people, but that's everywhere, I just stayed respectful and out the way, that's how you get along with everyone. Turning Point helped me out in a big way. It was February, it was raining and cold. I was staring at a six-week waiting list to get into residential SUD treatment and being on the streets. Turning Point gave me shelter, food, counseling, my medication and a phone to use to call the rehab every day and move up the waiting list. They kept me until I got in to Pathfinders. Basically saved me.

I have been clean for five years before that I battled a ten-year heroin addiction. I cannot thank God enough for this facility and some of the counselors. I learned how to live again here and what it meant to be a woman, and as a result of this place and the assistance they provided to me and my son, I now have two lovely daughters who have never seen me high. The help is available; you get what you put into it. If you are tired of using, come here. It will not be easy, but if you can remain silent, listen, and learn, your entire life can and will change. This review is for AUDREY & ROSA — two truly outstanding professionals.
Audrey has been an incredible part of my experience for over 10 years, and I can say without hesitation that she’s one of the most reliable, dedicated, and hard-working people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She brings not only professionalism but also a kind heart to everything she does. Audrey goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel cared for — from making appointment scheduling easy to consistently sending reminders and communicating clearly. Her attention to detail and genuine compassion are evident in everything she does. She is an absolute asset, and NCMH is very fortunate to have her as a long-standing, trusted member of the team.
I also want to recognize ROSA — what an amazing addition to the team! Though newer to MCMH, Rosa is already making a strong impression. She handles the demands of this sometimes stressful field with such grace and a positive attitude. She’s always warm, welcoming, and keeps things running smoothly alongside Audrey. Together, they make an incredible team that contributes so much to creating a professional, organized, and comforting environment for both patients and staff.
To both of you: please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. On the tough days, remember how valued you are. Your dedication truly makes a difference — and it’s deeply appreciated.

I can't speak on the hospitalization/intake part of this facility as I only did an evaluation and left same-day, but the nurses and doctor I spoke with were all amazing! All the staff were kind and patient, starting right from when you enter the building and are greeted by the friendly security. I came because no one else in San Diego wanted to help me receive the urgent mental care I needed due to not being an immediate threat to myself. The doctor gave me amazing advice and a stellar referral for a psychiatrist that treats through TMS and medication. I was feeling very overwhelmed by how much the mental health system in this city had failed me, but now I know exactly what my next steps are and have an amazing new psych in my corner. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I don't know why some people are bad mouthing TLM other than they are ungrateful selfish brats. I've been clean since 2016. I'm grateful for Lewis and his staff. They work hard to make a difference in people's lives. They care about others but if you don't care about yourself then don't expect others to pity you. Lewis will take the shirt off his back for anyone as long as you're willing to help yourself too. Lewis and his staff have big hearts at least when I went there and I can't imagine that much has changed. I never knew Lewis to allow lying, stealing, drugs, let alone cheating or anything bad of any sort. Last I knew, their were rules everyone had to abide by. The food was delicious. Lewis charged a fee for in-house living. Nothing is free. Lewis would even make arrangements to work with you on the fees so I don't want to hear all the rude, nasty comments and negative input written on the reviews from the imbeciles whom have bad mouth TLM. They obviously have no respect, no integrity, let alone dignity. If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all because TLM is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone 100% especially if you want to get clean or sober. I lived through it and so can you. I'm literally a different person because of TLM. I'm grateful for the life's lessons I learned at TLM. My life is 💯 better than ever because of TLM.

I have that many good things to say. This is my one and only time in a treatment center. South Shores Recovery is a blessed, incredible experience from start to finish. They do everything they can to make you comfortable and feel safe as you detox and in your surroundings, that includes when you move to another house after you get settled from your week of detox. The staff from in-take to techs to case managers and therapist genuinely care and take care of you at every turn. It felt more like friends than staff and guest- a quick shout out to all those that I got the pleasure to meet. They are truly wonderful and so very appreciated. They keep you fed and full of snacks as you ride the road of recovery while also keeping you busy with group during the week and nightly meetings ranging from AA, CA (Cocaine Anonymous)to NA (Narcotics Anonymous). The weekly group sessions are different every day and include things like yoga, sound therapy, meditation, harp, trips to the gym and outdoor activities like surfing. Saturdays have a fun activity like kayaking, bowling or going to the movies. While Sundays involve a weekly trip to Target and the option of going to church in the morning. This keeps the entire experience beneficial to the mind, body and soul. This recovery center is not just for alcoholics but for any addict that makes the brave decision to get better and work toward the life they deserve. This was the best decision I have ever made, aside from marrying my husband. I cannot begin to express the depth of my gratitude for this place and the incredible staff who make it what it is. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with open arms and immediately made to feel safe, comfortable, and understood. The staff are not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate—always willing to listen, laugh with you, and stand by your side during the times you need support the most.
The groups are thoughtfully designed and different every single day, which keeps you fully engaged and allows you to explore so many meaningful areas of life. Discussions cover everything from addiction, mental health, and spirituality, to family, relationships, and childhood experiences. Each topic is approached with honesty, care, and encouragement, creating an environment where healing and growth feel possible.
This is far more than just a program—it’s a community, a safe haven, and a place where you can rediscover yourself while being supported every step of the way. I could not recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking real change and genuine connection.

Ocean Ridge Treatment and Recovery is a luxury six-bed detox facility for adults in San Clemente, California. You can access ongoing support to reach stabilization after quitting drugs or alcohol. This location is near the Palisades Reservoir as well as beaches, scenic trails and recreational opportunities. They accept most insurance providers, inc | Treatments Programs Payment Options | If you or someone you love is struggling with dual diagnosis, I cannot recommend Ocean Ridge enough. From the moment I called, I was safely taken into the hands of an extremely thorough, professional, compassionate team. I first spoke with Paul, who immediately eased my concerns and spoke with me at length with understanding until I could speak with Simon. Simon personally worked with my family and my hotel to get me safely to the treatment facility, showing the urgency my situation required. In my years of addiction, I had never been as scared as I was when I called Ocean Ridge that day. That fear was soon replaced with feeling safe, cared for, and confident in the professionals supporting me — more than I ever thought possible.
Their program is incredible. From the personalized psychiatric treatment to the customized recovery program, it was the greatest gift I have ever received. As a business owner, I was especially grateful for how accommodating they were, ensuring I had the environment necessary to work when needed.
There was never a time when Simon didn’t check in or facilitate any needs for myself or the other patients. Regardless of what it was, there was always a well thought-out solution with excellent communication. Tom, the chef, provided the BEST food and happily took care of any dietary needs. The entire staff was incredibly kind and funny. They made every day fun while also creating a safe space to do the deep work of recovery.
There were many days spent at the beach, doing activities, art, movies, and other unique outings that reminded us how much joy life has to offer in any situation. They also provide sound baths, meditation, and PhD-backed presentations on the effects of addiction, nutrition, and the brain. The talk groups in between were a supportive, controlled environment to process with others in similar situations. I especially enjoyed Paul’s groups and the feedback and knowledge he shared. Daily access to the gym and the beach was another huge benefit for me.
The homes and rooms are exceptional — I was blown away by how clean and beautiful they were. The night staff made me feel safe and had great personalities as well. You will not leave treatment without a well-thought-out aftercare plan. It is completely tailored to your needs and situation. Ocean Ridge partners with excellent programs they trust to ensure the highest success rate and smoothest transition possible. Since leaving treatment, I’ve received multiple calls from Simon to check in and make sure I have the tools I need. That tells you everything you need to know.
Most importantly, I must mention the owners of Ocean Ridge, who work directly inside the treatment center. They are incredibly kind with a true passion for recovery and those seeking it. I would not have been able to attend the program — or gain as much as I did — without them and the program they’ve built. I will be forever grateful. If you are considering Ocean Ridge, make the call. I just hit another milestone in my sobriety, and I am thankful that I will hit many more thanks to this program.

Ocean Ridge is the best place for recovery. I spent 40 days inpatient and it really helped me. The place is wonderful and relaxing. The staff is incredible: super helpful, open minded, they really understand your necessity and they all have advices, thanks to their experience, to help you coping and move forward. They gave me a new motivation. They take us pretty much every day at the gym and weekends activities are incredibly funny and team building. Beach times and other activities during the weekend helped me to enjoy life once again. The food is amazing, always on-time and very well prepared. I had my own room and it was perfectly cleaned-up, with a big TV, internet connection and plenty of space. I shared the restroom with another client and it was clean and not busy at all. My therapist was Yasmin and I never had a better experience in my life: she made me very comfortable and finally I had the chance to open myself as never before.
I had a very profound experience and I will suggest Ocean Ridge to everyone who want to change his/her life for good.
I will ever be thankful enough to all the staff from the management to the friends I was ale to make.

it may seems like a frivolous detail for some, but having three meals a day and snacks prepared for me every day, and having my laundry done for me so I could focus on my recovery was the icing on the cake.
I am a local, living in the area and there are so many of us in the recovery community who went there At various times, some people more than once; and we’re still like a big family Who love and support each other
There are going to be people who complain about it, but I think most of those people are the ones that were in there not of their own accord, and found fault with everything. It’s not a 5-star hotel, which some seem to expect when they come.
It’s a beautiful and loving recovery facility where they love you into health so you can leave there with the tools to start your lifetime of recovery. They give you the reins to take responsibility and take action for your own recovery when you leave.

AToN Center is an addiction rehabilitation facility for adults aged 18 or older in Encinitas, California. They provide substance use programs that are tailored to an individual’s specific needs. Their services are a combination of group activities, medication regimens, and mental health support. Clients will participate in five individual therapy | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Aton has the most beneficial, overall program in place for true care of your mind, body and spirit. I came here unaware of how all of the services would come together and it was unbelievable to me that this team of people can help someone like me start over again. From the owners, who are constantly even making improvements, while I was in care, to the staff, to the level of nutrition and balance in therapeutical work, to small group work, and all of the self work you complete . Aton is a blessing and teaches you there is a way of life that can add years on to your own, and in only 30 days as well, that is incredible. This, by far, was the best thing I could have gifted myself. Their determination to be available for whatever may come up, their staff, their respect and courtesy, their consistency to assist with your insurance issues… well, Aton leaves nothing unaddressed for your needs and even assisting with your family’s needs. This has been my saving grace and I am determined to use all of the skills and aftercare tools that have been provided to me, some of which I didn’t even know existed. Thank you Aton for allowing me to be a part of something bigger than myself. Aton cares for you almost as if you are a part of their family, but in the most professional way I have ever experienced. Aton made space for me to get myself back and helped me heal in a way I never knew was possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I had a life changing experience at Aton, and would highly recommend to anyone that is ready to get the recovery treatment they deserve. The strategy of addressing the root issues leading to substance abuse, Five 1:1 sessions per week! and most of all the people who are qualified and caring, make this a safe and effective space to achieve your recovery goals.

Prior to going to Villa Kali Ma I researched many other programs, but I am so grateful that I chose VKM. The location is peaceful and beautiful, the staff are so amazing. They are kind and caring and make you feel at home. The different treatment modalities are so beneficial and I still use them outside of the program. Overall I felt like Villa Kali Ma healed me and brought me back to myself, on a spiritual and emotional level by helping me process deep rooted issues and why I really had a problem. Thank you so much to the amazing ladies at VKM, they saved my life!

I write this review two and a half years later, having thoroughly tested the tools and experienced the wonderful staff at VKM to see if the lessons and gifts provided could endure. I want to share with every woman- partners, parents, and friends- that VKM is a true temple of knowledge and healing.
I arrived during a troubled time in my life: broken, vulnerable, and desperate for guidance to begin my healing journey. I followed one rule: “Be open and trust the process.” Every woman I met there has remained in my heart and is part of my ongoing healing. Each staff member was uniquely qualified to support me: diligently, caring, and knowledgeable. The intake staff includes some of the most compassionate women I have met, likely due to their past experiences, which enable them to guide others on their healing journeys. The holistic team is exceptional; more than yoga teachers, they are spiritual leaders and warriors, as we all are.
The individualized schedules adapt to each person's needs. If you're fine with vegan options, the food is excellent (I emerged in the best shape of my life). These women can perform miracles if you're ready to work with them and confront your challenges with integrity. During my time there, I was accepted to a university and am now in the final leg of my B. S. in Psychology, graduating with honors. I've faced significant challenges since leaving, including a family member's cancer diagnosis and losing my sister at the young age of 47. Yes, I have stumbled and fallen over the past two years.
Despite these difficulties, I write to share that the tools and healing I received from VKM helped me rise again, let go of what didn't serve me, forgive those who hurt me, and, most importantly, extend forgiveness to myself with self-compassion Thank you, Kay and ladies, for honoring your chosen path of facilitating healing in a holistic manner that honors your God-given assignment to be the Light for us Ladies in need.
Namaste, and God bless everyone who enters this healing facility and the temple of knowledge. I pray for each of you that your journey toward healing begins.

San Diego, California | Evolve Treatment Center for Teens, located in San Diego, California, is an alcohol and drug rehab center, mental health center, and dual diagnosis treatment center for teens. They provide residential services. Evidence-Based, Individualized Care Our treatment model is rooted in proven, evidence-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on Dialecti | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My daughter’s mental health symptoms showed up at age thirteen. It seemed like overnight we went from having a typical child who enjoyed spending time with family, playing with friends, reading books, going on outings to just wanting to die. It was a very scary and confusing place for our family. I tried and tried to find providers who could help her. She went to multiple providers and programs with little change. After our insurance changed, we were able to start treatment at Evolve. From the very beginning, I felt that we were in good hands. The staff are well trained and the program is well designed. My daughter’s behaviors and our family’s communication patterns changed dramatically. After four years of feelings as if I had lost my daughter, I have my daughter back. I’m grateful that the providers at Evolve have extensive knowledge and experience with teens with mental health issues, and we finally got the help we needed!

Evolve did wonders for our teen. I'm sure it's hard for them to get reviews as this is such a private matter. The whole process is utterly heartbreaking. You don't end up here because you wanna be here. That being said they worked with us as a family so well. I really liked that. They involve you in the treatment and try to ensure that you will have the tools necessary to help your child continue on their path of healing. The path is BUMPY, and it heartbreaking. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. As a family we are so thankful for the staff at Evolve and the forever impact they have made on our child's life. The skills they shared, our kiddo still uses. Our kiddo really had a connection to the staff. There was also a pet lizard that meant a lot to our kiddo. There's so much I could say about this place. But the biggest is just two words FOREVER THANKFUL.
