This place is predatory, as in they are money hungry and prey on addicts under the guise of helping them. They are only friendly to you when you are paying them; anytime after that, they will treat you with disrespect and intimidation. They use outdated statistical information and attempt to brainwash you into being dependent on them. While there is a lot of useful information and services they can direct you toward, this third party company is only interested in taking your money and treating you as less-than-human. In my experience, Dale Walters, the in-take coordinator and class teacher, was only friendly toward me when I was paying him money for the program. Afterward, he treated me with disrespect by insulting me in front of the rest of the class, talking to me as if I were five years old and consistently disregarding my personal space by knocking over my water bottle and saying, "oh, I don't care about anything beneath my knees." This has been my experience and I hope it helps shed light on the poor practices of this company and its employees.

Love the staff here . Everyone was so nice and understanding, from front desk to the back & the doctor! Dr. Yamasaki is cool ! Def recommend!

Pediatric doctor is awesome. Always polite, answers my questions and he's patient. Nurses are good.

My Doctor and new eye checkup location. Dr Panicker has been my Dr for years now. Nice to have a Dr you know. Very informative and helpful. The Optometrist also visits here once in a while to complete eye exams. It would be nice if she had a permanent office here

Very well ran nice place to go in a crisis. Whatever you may be going through they will accommodate you as long as you’re doing your part as a human being. The staff is amazing Caret made sure I made it to a good place. 10 out of 10 service available to the public.

Best Crisis home in San Diego! Staff are super nice, relatable, and forgiving (Shout out to Ivan!) if you mess up and relapse on the property. They gave me a second chance. They truly care about your mental health and addiction recovery progress. The clients were all nice, some of them had a lil bit of drama towards certain people, but that's everywhere, I just stayed respectful and out the way, that's how you get along with everyone. They also take you to walks on the beach, which is therapeutical!

Turning Point helped me out in a big way. It was February, it was raining and cold. I was staring at a six-week waiting list to get into residential SUD treatment and being on the streets. Turning Point gave me shelter, food, counseling, my medication and a phone to use to call the rehab every day and move up the waiting list. They kept me until I got in to Pathfinders. Basically saved me. Anyone expecting more than that has unreasonable expectations and probably has some hard lessons in life ahead of them. Thank you, staff at Turning Point, for your valued role in saving my life

FRC is the best hands down recovery in Oceanside probably in all of San Diego. When I got here I found nothing but love and warmth from all the other girls here. The staff is amazing., they really do care about each and every one of us here. We're all treated with respect and without judgment. I highly recommend this program to all who is trying to fight the addiction. Thank you FRC. I know that I am on the road to recovery and I will succeed in my future God bless all

I wanted to leave this review because I feel like this program. Is not given enough credit. On July 11th, I will be celebrating my 11th year of sobriety. Aside from my higher power, I give all my thanks and gratitude to the friendly recovery center for saving my life. Thank you to all my FRC girls that I met there. My family and thank you to all the staff. I found a recovery center in the years. Is that I was there even now? To the stuff that are still there, helping these women out with getting better in life. We do recover 💪

I have been clean for five years before that I battled a ten-year heroin addiction. I cannot thank God enough for this facility and some of the counselors. I learned how to live again here and what it meant to be a woman, and as a result of this place and the assistance they provided to me and my son, I now have two lovely daughters who have never seen me high. The help is available; you get what you put into it. If you are tired of using, come here. It will not be easy, but if you can remain silent, listen, and learn, your entire life can and will change. I often think about this place and the counselors who helped change my life, and I am so thankful to God.Jesus set me free from addiction, and he used this place to mend my broken heart and make me whole again.

It's ALL about the people that work here!!...ignore the aging facility....the ICU staff are skilled professionals with caring work ethic!!! Should be 10 stars!!!

Audrey has been an incredible part of my experience for over 10 years, and I can say without hesitation that she’s one of the most reliable, dedicated, and hard-working people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She brings not only professionalism but also a kind heart to everything she does. Audrey goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel cared for — from making appointment scheduling easy to consistently sending reminders and communicating clearly. Her attention to detail and genuine compassion are evident in everything she does. She is an absolute asset, and NCMH is very fortunate to have her as a long-standing, trusted member of the team. I also want to recognize ROSA — what an amazing addition to the team! Though newer to MCMH, Rosa is already making a strong impression. She handles the demands of this sometimes stressful field with such grace and a positive attitude. She’s always warm, welcoming, and keeps things running smoothly alongside Audrey. Together, they make an incredible team that contributes so much to creating a professional, organized, and comforting environment for both patients and staff. I can't speak on the hospitalization/intake part of this facility as I only did an evaluation and left same-day, but the nurses and doctor I spoke with were all amazing! All the staff were kind and patient, starting right from when you enter the building and are greeted by the friendly security. I came because no one else in San Diego wanted to help me receive the urgent mental care I needed due to not being an immediate threat to myself. The doctor gave me amazing advice and a stellar referral for a psychiatrist that treats through TMS and medication. I was feeling very overwhelmed by how much the mental health system in this city had failed me, but now I know exactly what my next steps are and have an amazing new psych in my corner. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tender Loving Mercy is the best place I’ve been to. It’s the only place that worked for me after others didn’t work out, and now I have almost 8 years sober. I’ve gotten my life back and I couldn’t be more thankful for Tender Loving Mercy and Lewis. Lewis is the hardest working guy I know and he is 100% the most dedicated to helping others who struggle with addiction and/ or mental health. He is the real deal, he truly cares and he’ll stop at nothing to help someone succeed. He’s also the best cook and will make sure you are eating good, and the food is the best. He helped me and I’ve seen him help so many others over the years.

I was lost, clueless, and facing 3 years in prison when I first came here and over the past year I've learned taught respect, integrity, and accountability and now I'm 6 months sober and actually willing to live sober I have felt really welcome here and the staff has been very understanding. All houses have ocean views this has to be one of the best treatment facilities available, if not the best in.

Mcalister is an amazing place resources and offers a good out paitent program. Its all about doing the foot work and being ready to make that life changing effort to save your own life.
