I went through the program at AToN and it changed everything. The care, the setting, the people - there is nothing else like it. Finding the right help for my brother was one of the most stressful situations our family has ever faced. If I could give 10 stars I would! Our daughters experience at Cole Ranch was just what she needed. She truly thrived, growing in confidence, accountability, and self-awareness. There’s also a positive energy there. It was important to us that treatment felt like support, not punishment, and Cole Ranch delivered. The small group setting (only about six teens) allows for individualized attention and meaningful peer connections. The level of clinical support was outstanding. She received at least three individual sessions each week, and as parents, we met weekly with her therapist alone and once a week with our daughter included. We live across the country, but were able to fully participate via Zoom, which made a huge difference for our family. She benefited from both traditional therapy (individual, group, and family) and experiential therapies like equine and surf—she can’t wait to surf again! We also really valued the home contract created with her therapist, which helped ensure our whole family was on the same page when she returned home. We’re incredibly proud of her and are forever grateful to the entire team—especially her therapist, Charlie, who knew exactly how to connect with her. Ermeias and Chef Rafa kept her spirts up too. Residential treatment is hard, especially 2000 miles from home so the caring nature of the staff was critical. I would recommend Evolve Cole Ranch to anyone with a teen needing a higher level of care than weekly therapy and they do work with insurance companies so it's much more accessible than one would think.

Evolve Treatment Center has been a great experience for our family. Our 17 year old son has attended Evolve and we feel he walked away with tools that was very beneficial not only for himself but for our family unit. He still needs guidance and structure but the therapy he received was by far was the best we have encountered throughout our trials. I trust Evolve with my future needs as well as my son's. In the event we need Evolve it would be my choice. Jackie in admissions and Anthony our therapist along with the entire staff was wonderful. They are a fantastic team of professionals. Thank you

Evolve is truly remarkable, on so many levels! I brought a broken child to them. She had mental & emotional issues, along with substance abuse. The trauma that my teen experienced in her little life was the underlying reason for all her difficult choices. Evolve Treatment Center is full of experienced Therapists, Psychiatrists, and staff who, combined, run this incredible program. I have my young one home with me again, and she is a new person, ready to tackle life in a new light. It will be years before she can settle into what will be her norm, but she now has all the tools and coping skills she'll need for her new journey. So I was an actual client here at evoke treatment at the dove song house twice due to needing further treatment I will say at the beginning I didn’t like it, but that’s because I fought treatment once I started to cooperate and accept treatment. I found myself beginning to heal from my trauma and grow as person and grow in my coping skills and abilities to tolerate distressing situations and cope effectively. I enjoyed the activities in the ability to still feel like a human and not just like a mentally insane person I found that they respected me and treated me fairly. The food was also very good. Our chef Rafa. is an amazing cook. I find that the rooms are comfortable without making it feel too much like you’re at home. I find that they have a happy medium between making it feel Homie and making sure that it is still a treatment facility in the beginning I found the rules hard to follow and thought that the level system was done, but as I started to work on myself and work harder, I understood why they do it that way, and I find it a very effective system. I’ve already recommended this place to a friend who’s still going through treatment facilities and needing more treatment and I have met and seen great people grow further in their mental health. and take the help and add that to their daily lives so I am extensively grateful for evolve because without that treatment I don’t know if I would be here today.

This place is amazing! My daughter had been at different residential prior to her admission here and let me just tell you this place was 1000% better. Dr. Litch is one of the most genuine and knowledgeable doctors in San Diego. She is clear and to the point and answers your questions clearly. She can come of as intimidating at first but she is wonderful to talk to. I saw Dr. Litsch. This office is kind of hard to find, it’s easy to miss the turn once you exit the freeway and the business park is like a maze. Dr. Litsch provides good medication management. She was available by phone to increase my dose when I needed to due to some breakthrough episodes. Overall good.

Some people on Yelp complained about how hard it is to find the office, so here are a couple of pictures to help you locate it, esp. if you're coming from I-5 or Encinitas Blvd west. Make a left turn onto Saxony and you will pass the Animal Keepers. Then you will make a right turn where you see the sign"Encintas West Professional Building". If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! This place was great, I had a wonderful experience. It's low client, great staff and a safe place for when you truly need it. I specifically enjoyed the low client aspect of it. The groups feel personal and urges you to share and process things once you are done detoxing. Plus the house is beautiful and the property sits on top of a hill far away from any distractions so it is as quiet as North County SD can get. The owner is genuine and cares for your sobriety. Wow, I am so grateful for Restore and the incredible team and their unconditional love! The home is beautiful and the view breathtaking, but the care, connection and joy of the team are the pillars of Restore. I have been to dozens of detox and treatments centers over the last 10 years and Restore is the first place that has helped me get to the heart of the matter- I cannot recover alone. Restore taught me how to work a simple AA program, give my fears away to my god, and speak my truth authentically to connect with others. Restore's program supported my recovery in all facets- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And one of the most amazing parts that NO other place offers- it is welcoming FOREVER to alumni! Steven's house meetings are the most powerful tool in my recovery toolbox. I go to Restore at least 2x a week for house meetings along with other alumni and have the joy of seeing Steven, staff, and alumni at outside AA meetings throughout the week. I have a love/hate relationship with LJR. It's complicated, but I have to say that it IS a great place to detox. The nursing staff is top-notch, exhibiting a tremendous amount of care, empathy and experience. Francisco was my guardian angel, always ready to lend an ear, guidance and giggles. They are *almost* always willing to fulfill requests. The staff is remarkably kind and helpful.

I am so blessed to be able to experience such an amazing place and people. I called and spoke with Elliot. He made the intake process easy for me. Even throughout my time there, he was on top of his game with my paperwork and answered all my question regarding insurnace and EDD. Kick ass, down to earth, mind , body and spiritual experience. Small program but individualized for personal growth. My trip there was some what short due to needing a higher level of care....but I will return for PHP and IOP. Elliot: Right from the first phone call, Elliot clearly articulated the therapeutic approach, making me feel confident. He emphasized both group and individual therapy, which was exactly what I needed. Nicholas: As a facilitator, psychologist, guru, and teacher led with experience . Nicholas felt like a guide, he helped me tune into my inner self, enabling me to make better decisions. His presence was transformative. Angel: Angel, my therapist, didn’t give me answers,she guided me inward. Her support was constant, and she advocated for my transition to a higher level of care. Megan: The bodybuilding doctor next door, Megan, got me moving! I wasn’t one for working out, but her energy and care had me feeling so good, I even attempted to give back by cleaning the windows. Lol I actually ruined the sticker with her logo and she took it with a grain of salt. I will replace it . (^-^) Every interaction was tailored, making this program truly special. I have learned so much and they allowed me to grow towards the goals I've wanted to have for years. Not at all the sit and be bored type of atmosphere. More like sit, share, breath, learn , walk, have fun, place to cry, safe place to be, and a spot where I got totally honest for the first time in many moons. I strive to be better by their guidance and compationate ways they have taught me what to do.

We are so grateful for the care our daughter received at Evolve Cole Ranch. She truly thrived, growing in confidence, accountability, and self-awareness. The facility is beautiful and creates a peaceful, healing environment. There’s also a positive, uplifting energy—it was important to us that treatment felt like support, not punishment, and Cole Ranch delivered. We especially appreciated the small group setting (only about six kids), which allows for individualized attention and meaningful peer connections. She benefited from both traditional therapy (individual, group, and family) and experiential therapies like equine and surf—she can’t wait to surf again! Most importantly, she left with real skills she’s already using at home. We’re incredibly proud of her and deeply thankful to the entire team—especially her therapist, Charlie, who seemed to know exactly how to connect with her. My daughter’s mental health symptoms showed up at age thirteen. It seemed like overnight we went from having a typical child who enjoyed spending time with family, playing with friends, reading books, going on outings to just wanting to die. It was a very scary and confusing place for our family. I tried and tried to find providers who could help her. She went to multiple providers and programs with little change. After our insurance changed, we were able to start treatment at Evolve. From the very beginning, I felt that we were in good hands. The staff are well trained and the program is well designed. My daughter’s behaviors and our family’s communication patterns changed dramatically. After four years of feelings as if I had lost my daughter, I have my daughter back. I’m grateful that the providers at Evolve have extensive knowledge and experience with teens with mental health issues, and we finally got the help we needed!

Evolve did wonders for our teen. I'm sure it's hard for them to get reviews as this is such a private matter. The whole process is utterly heartbreaking. You don't end up here because you wanna be here. That being said they worked with us as a family so well. I really liked that. They involve you in the treatment and try to ensure that you will have the tools necessary to help your child continue on their path of healing. The path is BUMPY, and it heartbreaking. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. As a family we are so thankful for the staff at Evolve and the forever impact they have made on our child's life. The skills they shared, our kiddo still uses. Our kiddo really had a connection to the staff. There was also a pet lizard that meant a lot to our kiddo. There's so much I could say about this place. But the biggest is just two words FOREVER THANKFUL.

I can’t fully put into words what Villa Kali Ma gave me, but I can honestly say it changed my life. I came here wanting deep healing, not just coping skills, and that’s exactly what I found. For the first time, I was able to understand how much my childhood and trauma had been influencing the choices I was making without even realizing it. It was intense, fast paced, and incredibly effective because I was ready to do the work, and they gave me the tools and support to do it. The program is so thoughtfully designed, and every therapy is intentional. We experienced EMDR, IFS, yoga, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, sound healing, trauma release work, individual and group therapy, and so many other evidence-based approaches that helped me heal on every level. The staff met me with kindness, compassion, and genuine care, while also knowing when to gently push me to grow. The food was delicious. Healthy, organic, fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. As someone who already ate a mostly plant based diet, I still noticed a huge difference in how I felt physically, and I even lost 12 pounds simply by nourishing my body well. They even cooked gluten free options for me. I left healthier emotionally, mentally, and physically than I have been… probably ever. If you’re willing to show up with an open heart and truly do the work, this place will change your life. I will always be grateful to every person at Villa Kali Ma for helping me become the person I knew was somewhere inside me all along.

Villa Kali Ma truly changed my life for the better. Their holistic approach to treating substance use and mental health not only healed my mind, but also nourished my soul. The vegan meals helped restore my physical health, making me feel stronger and more energized. The women who work here are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each person’s healing journey. From the moment I arrived, the beautiful, comfortable home made me feel safe, supported, and truly at ease. In addition to individual and group therapy throughout the week, we participated in a variety of outdoor activities and experienced powerful holistic healing practices that supported our recovery on every level mind, body, and spirit. Villa Kali Ma gave me the tools, confidence, and inner strength to build a beautiful, peaceful, and sober life. I will always be grateful for the care, support, and hope I found there. I didn’t come to Soledad because I “wanted help.” I came because I was out of options. By the time I made that call, I was completely desperate—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually drained. I felt alone, without hope, and I was slowly killing myself. I thought I had everything I once prayed for but, I could no longer feel joy or happiness. I was in complete darkness and a big black hole that I couldn't dig out of. I wasn’t living anymore… I was just existing and a shell of a person. And that’s when Soledad stepped in—and changed and saved my life. I came into the program not fully honest with myself, stuck in a prison of my own making. I believed leaving my responsibilities was impossible, and I was terrified of judgment. But desperation has a way of opening doors you never thought you’d walk through. With nowhere else to turn, I said yes. From the moment I arrived, the staff, counselors, and volunteers met me with a kind of love I didn’t know how to receive. They showed up for me when I couldn’t show up for myself. They loved me when I couldn’t love myself—and that was the beginning of everything changing. What I gained here goes far beyond putting down alcohol. Yes, alcohol was destroying me—but it was never the real problem. It was my solution to something much deeper. By simply showing up, being willing, and taking suggestions, I started to see patterns I had been blind to my entire life. I realized how much I resented myself. How deeply I hated myself. I never felt like I was enough. I’ve always been a people pleaser. I poured everything I had into others, hoping to feel valued, only to end up feeling rejected, second choice, and alone. I didn’t know how to navigate relationships, and I lived with the belief that if people would just be kind and do what I thought was right, I’d finally be okay. What I didn’t understand was this: when I was pouring into others, I was trying to give them what I so desperately needed myself. I had everyone else’s back—but I never had my own. I set impossible expectations—for myself and for others. I chased perfection, and because perfection doesn’t exist, I was constantly left disappointed. That cycle kept me stuck, resentful, and in pain. This program helped me break that cycle. I'm leaving Soledad a better person—with real tools and a new way of living. I’m equipped to do life. I’ve learned how to pause, how to reflect, and how to respond instead of react. I’m no longer rushing to fix everything. I take life one moment at a time, one day at a time—and I actually find joy in the process. For the first time in my life, I can celebrate myself. I can look in the mirror with confidence, amazement, and strength—and truly believe: I am enough. I am strong. I am amazing. I am beautiful. I am a badass. I look at myself now the way I used to look at people I wished I could be. The pain I carried was anchored deep, and I know this journey doesn’t end here. Recovery is something I’ll continue to prioritize, because I want to keep everything I’ve been given. And what I’ve been given is nothing short of a miracle—my life, my joy, my peace. Not just restored, but better than I’ve ever experienced, even before alcohol. I wake up without panic. I feel calm. I feel grounded. Things that once felt impossible are now manageable. And maybe the greatest gift of all—I finally have my own back. If you’re at a loss… if you’re desperate… if you’re scared, terrified, or worried about what people will think—make the call. Soledad is a wonderful recovery program! they helped me to love myself again and showed me that being clean and sober is worth it and can be fun! all of the staff were amazing during my time there. they keep you busy with different activities that are supportive to everyone’s recovery. They’re willing to help in anyway they can and they definitely showed that they cared about me and how i was doing in my personal recovery journey! it was also a plus to have a great house manager like Neetra who always kept me and the others accountable everyday!
