So I was an actual client here at evoke treatment at the dove song house twice due to needing further treatment I will say at the beginning I didn’t like it, but that’s because I fought treatment once I started to cooperate and accept treatment. I found myself beginning to heal from my trauma and grow as person and grow in my coping skills and abilities to tolerate distressing situations and cope effectively. I enjoyed the activities in the ability to still feel like a human and not just like a mentally insane person I found that they respected me and treated me fairly. The food was also very good. Our chef Rafa. is an amazing cook. I find that the rooms are comfortable without making it feel too much like you’re at home. I find that they have a happy medium between making it feel Homie and making sure that it is still a treatment facility in the beginning I found the rules hard to follow and thought that the level system was done, but as I started to work on myself and work harder, I understood why they do it that way, and I find it a very effective system. I’ve already recommended this place to a friend who’s still going through treatment facilities and needing more treatment and I have met and seen great people grow further in their mental health. and take the help and add that to their daily lives so I am extensively grateful for evolve because without that treatment I don’t know if I would be here today.

Teen Program

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

This method teaches you how to release negative emotions and cope with pain from the past. Activities such as art, music, and animal care are used to facilitate this process.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

While in rehab treatment, you may work on developing various life skills to help you in long term recovery. These may include resilience, interpersonal skills, and self awareness. The focus will be on developing healthy habits for self care and relationships so you have the skills you need to manage day to day life.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

We live on the east coast and have nothing in our area comparable to Evolve! Even though it required cross-country travel, this was the best decision I ever made for my child. She has been in other, local programs that had no lasting impact. I experienced open, honest communication with courteous professionals, more time with therapists for both my child and myself, my child was happy to be surrounded by other patients who were also invested in successful treatment, exposure to active therapies outside of the house that built her confidence and belief that she could have a happy and full life without substances. We couldn't have had a better experience!

Before my grandson went for treatment, we did not know what to do to get help for him. When he attended the program, I saw the difference right away. The staff were there in every step and never left us alone. The staff communication was fantastic. We had weekly family sessions and we as a family were able to understand his feelings which he never had done before he went into the program. Now that he's at home, he feels more confident and continues getting better. He applies the skills he learn at Evolve and we know what to do to help him as his support group. We are communicating more and not walking on egg shells. We love that and taking it day by day. We are very thankful to all his doctor, therapist, nurse and staff for everything you did because we would not be able to do it without you. 🙏🙏

horrible. my son suffered further in their care. he od'ed and they DROVE him 45 minutes to a hospital rather than calling 911. and then they tried to place him in a different home in LA. they also did not answer their phone or door when we called multiple times with a family emergency.

My daughter just got out of Evolve AMA. I was very frustrated with the facility once my daughter checked in. She went in on a Friday and saw a therapist but the therapists don’t work the weekends so she only had “counselors” who are non-licensed high end trained baby sitters there. She was able to call home for hours on end without anyone limiting her times. It was very upsetting and frustrating as she begged and pleaded to come home using every manipulation tactic known to man to get out. I felt there was a severe lack of support for both her and me. It was awful. We came from out of state and leaving your child in a facility is very difficult to begin with. Upon check in I left and then received a call a couple hours later from her that she needs to leave because she wouldn’t sign paperwork. The manager of the house agreed and told me to come get her to only call me back 10 minutes later telling me kiddos don’t normally act that way and that she can stay and it was a misunderstanding. The first night she was also denied bed sheets because they were short staffed and no one could get the sheets nor give her the blanket and pillow she brought with her. I feel the home was gorgeous but you’re promised the world like “we’re here to support you” and upon admission it was not like that. I felt misguided. I spoke to the director via text multiple times and she pushed me back to the people who were in the home to assist. I explained I felt she should know what is going on. After all, I sent my younger teenager to this facility and I struggled to believe she was in the best hands. I would really consider the emotional toll this takes on the entire family before admitting a child to Evolve. It’s unfortunate. I had high hopes but after 5 short days, I look my daughter home.

Response from the owner
