The intake coordinators and the withdrawal management team were above and beyond helpful to me and assisting me to get clean and sober. Particularly Alex Smith coordinating my Care and the whole team of guys that he has working with him, Chris and Danny and Chadwick as well as Steve Where nothing but professional and compassionate in helping me get on my feet again. This facility is clean. The food is good and exceeded my expectations in a very difficult and hard process for me and my family and made my 2 week stay of what usually is a rough and arduous process peaceful and Helped assist me getting my health and a sobriety date.. Decided to go to VA for the very first time as I have had private care since I got out of the Navy. Besides mediocre bedside manners it wasn't too bad. Their people skills need improvements, it's a stale environment, it just took me back to my Navy days, kind of triggered my memories of my medical visits when I was active duty. it was oddly familiar... The gal that took my intake was kind but again it just felt cold and blah.. I saw a NP and she had a heavy accent, she asked questions and gave me some referrals so I am happy that she listened. We shall see how the care is afterwards. Not too, too bad for the first time.

What a wonderful place for recovery, felt welcomed from the get go, a beautiful and calming environment. The regiment laid out perfectly, and the education and information that was given was high caliber. I can only give 5 Stars if there were 6 it would be an easy choice. Nora, Becca, Caila, Jeremy were all amazing, I never felt out of place. Felt welcomed the moment I stepped those doors. Amazing!!!!

Admittedly, this is not my first experience in a recovery center. But, I'll say that Harmony Grove Recovery is head and shoulders above the rest. I knew something was different during my first call to admit myself. To my surprise, the owner answered the phone (which I soon learned is common as she is very hands on and responsive) and very calmly and assuredly described the program and living situation which was to my liking. I've heard this before from other centers only to arrive in shock at how misinformed I had been by some sales representative in some other state. Not at HGR. The moment I set foot in the "detox" facility, a lovely and spacious house in San Diego, I knew I could get used to this. I had my own room (everyone does) which was a particular I did not want to compromise on. I was greeted by the very capable case and house managers. Both of whom were warm and welcomed me without judgement or expectations. Just simply to use this initial time to settle in and "come to." It was comfortable to say the least. The remainder of my 35 day stay was at the main house where, again, I was shown to my own private room. I can't stress enough how pleasant this was for me to enjoy my own space during this time for recovery. It was here we (the five of us) participated in group and individual sessions with both this house manager and counselor. The sessions were great. I had planned to only stay for two weeks since there was a short relapse period between here and my last center. But, the level of care and interest shown by this house manager prompted me to extend my stay. She is interesting and warm yet fair and firm. She took the loneliness away by making feel like I wasn't a disaster and was right where I was supposed to be. She is great. I believe I made the right decision. Somehow, HGR made a huge impact me. I can't say for certain how much, but I have more tools than I did before. And more importantly, I know believe in myself. I'm extremely grateful to have landed here during my journey. Thank you, HGR!

Came here after the ranch recovery center I was 1 of 3 other guys that this was the first ever time they put us in a sober living outside our county, they were great and went out of their way to help me, sadly I relapsed, a year clean now and hoping to go visit hopefully the same people still work there

A friend of mine received care at Crosby. He tried over and over to get the help he needs and never got it until Crosby. Staff and treatment there made all the difference that saved his life. If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! Restore is a miracle resource. I have been welcomed into its community with open arms, although I am not alumni of Restore. Weekly groups led by Steven promote authenticity, openness, humility and unconditional love. The land and energy at Restore is healing and magical. A faith based recovery program, it is not evangelical in the least. Restore supports spiritual practices that meet you where you are. Steven and the team are angels. This place was great, I had a wonderful experience. It's low client, great staff and a safe place for when you truly need it. I specifically enjoyed the low client aspect of it. The groups feel personal and urges you to share and process things once you are done detoxing. Plus the house is beautiful and the property sits on top of a hill far away from any distractions so it is as quiet as North County SD can get. The owner is genuine and cares for your sobriety. Wow, I am so grateful for Restore and the incredible team and their unconditional love! The home is beautiful and the view breathtaking, but the care, connection and joy of the team are the pillars of Restore. I have been to dozens of detox and treatments centers over the last 10 years and Restore is the first place that has helped me get to the heart of the matter- I cannot recover alone. Restore taught me how to work a simple AA program, give my fears away to my god, and speak my truth authentically to connect with others. Restore's program supported my recovery in all facets- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And one of the most amazing parts that NO other place offers- it is welcoming FOREVER to alumni! Steven's house meetings are the most powerful tool in my recovery toolbox. I go to Restore at least 2x a week for house meetings along with other alumni and have the joy of seeing Steven, staff, and alumni at outside AA meetings throughout the week. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Restore, for teaching me recovery is possible.

I voluntarily admitted myself here for the Detox program from alcohol. I know that you as a person has to be just tired of it for it to stick. I have a love/hate relationship with LJR. It's complicated, but I have to say that it IS a great place to detox. The nursing staff is top-notch, exhibiting a tremendous amount of care, empathy and experience. Francisco was my guardian angel, always ready to lend an ear, guidance and giggles. They are *almost* always willing to fulfill requests. The staff is remarkably kind and helpful.

AToN saved my life, and I don't say that lightly as someone who completed their program two years ago and has stayed sober since. Dr. Kevin's approach to clinical care is unlike anything I encountered in years of outpatient therapy. He has a way of cutting through the noise and getting to what's actually driving the behavior, without ever making you feel judged or reduced. The group sessions, the holistic work, the food, the grounds - all of it creates an environment where healing doesn't just feel possible, it feels inevitable. If you're on the fence, please get off it. This place is the real thing.

I went through the program at AToN and it changed everything. The care, the setting, the people - there is nothing else like it. This disease is insidious - it's doing push-ups and waiting for us to take our guards down. Don't let it ruin your life like it tried to do to mine. I didn't let it and AToN helped me along the way. I am so blessed to be able to experience such an amazing place and people. I called and spoke with Elliot. He made the intake process easy for me. Even throughout my time there, he was on top of his game with my paperwork and answered all my question regarding insurnace and EDD. Kick ass, down to earth, mind , body and spiritual experience. Small program but individualized for personal growth. My trip there was some what short due to needing a higher level of care....but I will return for PHP and IOP. Elliot: Right from the first phone call, Elliot clearly articulated the therapeutic approach, making me feel confident. He emphasized both group and individual therapy, which was exactly what I needed. Nicholas: As a facilitator, psychologist, guru, and teacher led with experience . Nicholas felt like a guide, he helped me tune into my inner self, enabling me to make better decisions. His presence was transformative. Angel: Angel, my therapist, didn’t give me answers,she guided me inward. Her support was constant, and she advocated for my transition to a higher level of care. Megan: The bodybuilding doctor next door, Megan, got me moving! I wasn’t one for working out, but her energy and care had me feeling so good, I even attempted to give back by cleaning the windows. Lol I actually ruined the sticker with her logo and she took it with a grain of salt. I will replace it . (^-^) Every interaction was tailored, making this program truly special. I have learned so much and they allowed me to grow towards the goals I've wanted to have for years. Not at all the sit and be bored type of atmosphere. More like sit, share, breath, learn , walk, have fun, place to cry, safe place to be, and a spot where I got totally honest for the first time in many moons. I strive to be better by their guidance and compationate ways they have taught me what to do.

We are so grateful for the care our daughter received at Evolve Cole Ranch. She truly thrived, growing in confidence, accountability, and self-awareness. The facility is beautiful and creates a peaceful, healing environment. There’s also a positive, uplifting energy—it was important to us that treatment felt like support, not punishment, and Cole Ranch delivered. We especially appreciated the small group setting (only about six kids), which allows for individualized attention and meaningful peer connections. She benefited from both traditional therapy (individual, group, and family) and experiential therapies like equine and surf—she can’t wait to surf again! Most importantly, she left with real skills she’s already using at home. We’re incredibly proud of her and deeply thankful to the entire team—especially her therapist, Charlie, who seemed to know exactly how to connect with her. Ermias was great with and Rafa the chef made her laugh and smile. (I’m not sure I can compete with his cooking!). Thank you to everyone at Cole Ranch—you truly changed her life.

My daughter’s mental health symptoms showed up at age thirteen. It seemed like overnight we went from having a typical child who enjoyed spending time with family, playing with friends, reading books, going on outings to just wanting to die. It was a very scary and confusing place for our family. I tried and tried to find providers who could help her. She went to multiple providers and programs with little change. After our insurance changed, we were able to start treatment at Evolve. From the very beginning, I felt that we were in good hands. The staff are well trained and the program is well designed. My daughter’s behaviors and our family’s communication patterns changed dramatically. After four years of feelings as if I had lost my daughter, I have my daughter back. I’m grateful that the providers at Evolve have extensive knowledge and experience with teens with mental health issues, and we finally got the help we needed!

Evolve did wonders for our teen. I'm sure it's hard for them to get reviews as this is such a private matter. The whole process is utterly heartbreaking. You don't end up here because you wanna be here. That being said they worked with us as a family so well. I really liked that. They involve you in the treatment and try to ensure that you will have the tools necessary to help your child continue on their path of healing. The path is BUMPY, and it heartbreaking. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. As a family we are so thankful for the staff at Evolve and the forever impact they have made on our child's life. The skills they shared, our kiddo still uses. Our kiddo really had a connection to the staff. There was also a pet lizard that meant a lot to our kiddo. There's so much I could say about this place. But the biggest is just two words FOREVER THANKFUL.

I can’t fully put into words what Villa Kali Ma gave me, but I can honestly say it changed my life. I came here wanting deep healing, not just coping skills, and that’s exactly what I found. For the first time, I was able to understand how much my childhood and trauma had been influencing the choices I was making without even realizing it. It was intense, fast paced, and incredibly effective because I was ready to do the work, and they gave me the tools and support to do it. The program is so thoughtfully designed, and every therapy is intentional. We experienced EMDR, IFS, yoga, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, sound healing, trauma release work, individual and group therapy, and so many other evidence-based approaches that helped me heal on every level. The staff met me with kindness, compassion, and genuine care, while also knowing when to gently push me to grow. The food was delicious. Healthy, organic, fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. As someone who already ate a mostly plant based diet, I still noticed a huge difference in how I felt physically, and I even lost 12 pounds simply by nourishing my body well. They even cooked gluten free options for me. I left healthier emotionally, mentally, and physically than I have been… probably ever. If you’re willing to show up with an open heart and truly do the work, this place will change your life. I will always be grateful to every person at Villa Kali Ma for helping me become the person I knew was somewhere inside me all along.

I chose Villa Kali Ma in 2018 during the most difficult time of my life. Looking back now, I realize I was recovering from narcissistic abuse and parental alienation, which led to alcohol dependence. Seeking help at Villa Kali Ma was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Villa Kali Ma is a beautiful, serene setting in San Diego, and Kay, the owner, is an inspiration in so many ways. Dr. Ashley Amundson is also someone who has blown me away by her remarkable journey. The staff was exceptional, the vegan meals were delicious, listening to Trevor Hall music throughout the day gave me life, and the thoughtfully designed daily schedule offered a balance of healing, movement, and self-care. Every detail made me feel supported and at peace. When I think about my time there, it feels more like I attended a wellness retreat than a treatment program. Even now, after several years of sobriety and rebuilding my life, I often wish I could return for a "vacation" and relive that magical time of calm and renewal. If you're struggling and looking for a beautiful, safe, and serene place to heal, I can't recommend Villa Kali Ma highly enough.
