Green Oak Ranch, situated in scenic Vista, California, is a drug rehab program that is Christ centered and serious about your recovery. Their primary level of care is their residential program, which lasts nine months and places you on an idyllic, rustic ranch with over 100 acres of land and activities. As a Christian program they put a lot of emph
I went here 3 summers in a row for marching band camp and it has been some of the best experiences of my life. The staff there are the nicest people and I never once felt like I didn't want to be there. The kitchen staff in particular are absolutely amazing, you guys are the best and I really hope you see this because you all deserve so much. Thank you!

I have had such a torrid tumultuous yet serene and beautiful romance with Green Oak Ranch. I graduated the program in 2010 and I loved it so much I went back and graduated again. Lol. I really do love the place, but I went back because I had walked out of the gates the first time I graduated and I left my relationship with God and my support group behind. I just wasn't done yet. Fortunately, I didn't die while adding more horrible experiences to my testimony.I knew I needed to go back because I truly met Jesus while I was there. I experienced REAL Christian fellowship with beautiful peopls who shared similar struggles as mine. I hear all the stories about how the staff developed issues in recent years. But, I can only attest to what I experienced while I was there. I believe that God handpicked each and every staff member while I was there. Beautiful souls who "figured it out". They devoted their lives to helping point others to Christ. They gave up lucrative careers to fulfill the purpose that God had for their lives. I didn't always get along with the staff (go figure a recovering addict who doesn't always jive with authority, hahaha)It was thru all of the people that I was blessed to cross paths with while I was in the program that I got a taste of what true joy was. For the first time in my life I had a peace that I could never do justice to by trying to put it into words. But, even after experiencing that I made the choice to go and "return to my own vomit" as scripture says. After running amuck for several months my health began to decline. But, not my physical health. My mental health had been truly tested and I was for the first time in my life failing that test. My pride wouldn't allow me to call Mary or Carl Fielstra (love you both..RIP Carl). My confidence was non-existent, I had no relationship with God. I told myself that God wouldn't want me back anyways. I was hopeless and I planned to take my life. I went to the store to get some things that I needed to make that happen. While heading out of the the Big 5 with a box of .38 caliber rounds I headed towards my car. I noticed my shoelace was untied ao I bent down to tie it. While I was crouched i heard footsteps and before i could even look up I saw a pair of Lugz Boots that I recognized without hesitation. I stood up and there was Green Oak Staff Member and "Triple OG" Carlos Atkinson (alright....alright). He and I had become close during my previous time at the Ranch. He didn't say a thing and neither did I for a few minutes. I hid the box of ammo behind my back. Carlos looked me in the eyes and said "Gabe we gonna get you some help ok?" And I threw my arms around him cuz I had wanted help for a while but my pride kept me from asking. 3 weeks later I entered residential treatment at Green Oak for the last time.Sorry for the novel. But, that is what Green Oak once was. People have their reason for why they love Green Oak Ranch. They have many reasonswhy they go camping there every year or why they volunteer there on Thanksgiving. Or, like me, they have reasons why they knew they needed to "come home" again.I'm sure there are countless reasons why people fell in love with the Ranch. Those are icing on the cake. The real reason people go back for any reason is because they saw Jesus at the Ranch. It's hard seeing the place change. Pretty soon the Ranch won't be the Ranch. I pray for Solutions for Change that the land will be used to help the widows and orphans.Yep, the Ranch is for the most part now just a memory. I'm gonna throw this out there. There are plenty of places with land. I pray for the funds and the right people to step up. Maybe Green Oak Ranch hasn't seen its last hurrah? Maybe God just wants to find a different venue. He who has ears....Oh by the way..... after Carlos let go of hugging me he Snatched the box of bullets I hid behind my back and he said, "Gimme the receipt".He smacked me on the back of my head and said "you better get up outta here before I show you how we do in "Detroit". Haha.

I have been coming to this clinic for going on 10 years. I have had one excellent doctor after another. Joanne good is my current doctor and she really does care and I absolutely feel heard. I don't think that it's fair to judge this organization based on their call service. I feel like they do their best. I don't have any complaints and will continue to use their services as I have received excellent care for a better part of a decade.

Tri-City Outpatient Behavioral Health Program has been the only program that has helped me through the difficult times, on my journey with depression. This is my third time going through the process & each time I learn even more about myself & my environment. At a time when excellent psychiatrists & therapists are hard to find, Tri-City Behavioral Health has the best. This year I m blessed to be able to join my therapy sessions & groups via Zoom. I highly recommend this program. I would give it ten stars if I could.

I got there on November 7th of 2024 and I was there about 62 days, at first I wanted to leave really badly, but after a week or 2 I started to get used to it. Some people said that they are to strict, but honestly it really was not. The rules were just to keep us safe, like no touching, no covert communication, and stuff like that. It taught me so much, like learning to just say the truth when i do something wrong and just come forward. I learned so much and I am so grateful I got to have this experience. I came out a whole new person. The staff there are great, and the supervisor Shawana is also amazing, I respect her a lot. She truly cares for us and I really looked up to her! The therapists there were also great. All the staff were really good with handling situations like bullying or and drama. When there was any drama the staff would quickly shut it down and we would work it out. We were not just trapped, we got to go on an outing every Sunday. We also would get take-out on Thursdays. I highly recommend this place. It is one of the BEST! I honestly did not want to leave!

What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery:They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollmentPRIOR TO ARRIVAL:coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you'll be arriving, how you'll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly).UPON ARRIVAL:You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You'll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed.ONCE SETTLED IN:There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You'll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can "graze" in making snacks/meals as needed.DEPARTING:A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. A pick-up time will be scheduled, all itemized inventory reviewed with sign-off. an IOP Intensive Outpatient Program will be offered through RCR Ranch Creek Recovery and/or a plan for after care reviewed.NOTES:Phone use allowed 1 hour a day at night after dinner, following a 7 day blackout period. Group sessions can be "boring" lots of downtime, lots of staff turnover. There are two houses BASS & DORRIEN.Bass is the main property and where groups are held.Sleeps 6 residents. There are 3 private bedrooms each with a queen bed (one has it's own bathroom, the other 2 share a bathroom), and 1 oversized bedroom with 3 queen beds, another full bathroom by the living room. big screen smart tv, L-shaped old sofa [over-due to be replaced], matching captains chair with footrest [also ready to be replaced], eloquent dining room (dedicated as an art space), enormous dream kitchen with separate pantry room, food shopping is done once a week with a list (residents responsible to cook their own meals), Pool Table, Ping Pong,, Pool (ICE COLD), Jacuzzi (turned on Friday night only, no lights), garage with some gym equipment (you can use during free time), and a large sunny well maintained backyard is accessible.Dorrien is the "overflow" smaller secondary house about 10 minutes away. Also sleeps 6 total. 1 large bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 master with a queen bed which shares a jack-and-jill bathroom. TV, living room, hot tub.DAILY ITENTERARY:This is where it gets a bit "grey space" ....There is a plan on paper (somewhere) and then there is reality.PAPER PLAN*I could be slightly off, as no schedule was providedwake up 7am-7:30ambreakfast 8am-9am9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm grouplunch 12pm-1pm dailydinner 5pm-6pm dailyfree time 6pm-10pmTuesday = Sound Therapy (AMAZING)Wednesday = Yoga (BEGINNER)Thursday = Fitness Training (NOPE)Friday = Educational Rehabilitation Movie & Horse TherapySaturday = "outing activity" (NOPE)Sunday = Family visitation 12pm-4pm (last 2 weeks only)its helpful if youre looking to get clean. This is, by far, the best recovery center that I have experienced and heard of. I have been sober since I left Ranch Creek 3 1/2 years ago. They saved my life physically, as I was about a month away from being put onto the liver transplant list, they saved my marriage and relationship with our four children, and they saved me emotionally, as Dr. Dena was able to get some of my issues to a conclusion without me using alcohol to numb the pain. I do the work every single day, but I wouldn't be here without Ranch Creek. They definitely do it right!

This place has saved my life. The counselors, the nurses, the teachings (tools), and the environment were amazing. They were very patient, caring, and understanding. I learned so much there and gained a whole new self identity. After inpatient, they offered me an outpatient program that you can partake either in-person or via Zoom. That is so necessary and beneficial as well. I would suggest that anyone who wants and needs to get their life back or reshape who they are for the better to give this place a try. I live life through new eyes and with a healthy mind. You won't be disappointed.

Best call I ever made. Not only did they help me through detox, but I was also prescribed depression medications that really helped be during the process. In addition, you are taught how to maintain sobriety. The homes are always kept clean and comfortable and hold at least 8 clients. There is one on one therapy sessions with a certified therapist. The group therapy sessions are kept small so you're not lost in a crowd of people. You are taken to actual AA and NA meetings in the area. You are also taken on weekend trips to a store to purchase personal items, clothing, and snacks for yourself and to the movies, beach, hiking and other fun activities. The staff is genuine in their care for you and give you personal attention. They brought my energy level back up and I feel normal again with more energy and I made numerous new friends that I still keep in contact with and I consider family. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs help.

I write this review two and a half years later, having thoroughly tested the tools and experienced the wonderful staff at VKM to see if the lessons and gifts provided could endure. I want to share with every woman- partners, parents, and friends- that VKM is a true temple of knowledge and healing. I arrived during a troubled time in my life: broken, vulnerable, and desperate for guidance to begin my healing journey. I followed one rule: “Be open and trust the process.” Every woman I met there has remained in my heart and is part of my ongoing healing. Each staff member was uniquely qualified to support me: diligently, caring, and knowledgeable. The intake staff includes some of the most compassionate women I have met, likely due to their past experiences, which enable them to guide others on their healing journeys. The holistic team is exceptional; more than yoga teachers, they are spiritual leaders and warriors, as we all are. The individualized schedules adapt to each person's needs. If you're fine with vegan options, the food is excellent (I emerged in the best shape of my life). These women can perform miracles if you're ready to work with them and confront your challenges with integrity. During my time there, I was accepted to a university and am now in the final leg of my B. S. in Psychology, graduating with honors. I've faced significant challenges since leaving, including a family member's cancer diagnosis and losing my sister at the young age of 47. Yes, I have stumbled and fallen over the past two years. Despite these difficulties, I write to share that the tools and healing I received from VKM helped me rise again, let go of what didn't serve me, forgive those who hurt me, and, most importantly, extend forgiveness to myself with self-compassion Thank you, Kay and ladies, for honoring your chosen path of facilitating healing in a holistic manner that honors your God-given assignment to be the Light for us Ladies in need. Namaste, and God bless everyone who enters this healing facility and the temple of knowledge. I pray for each of you that your journey toward healing begins.

VKM is absolutely life changing. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I spend time at “the retreat” it was truly a sanctuary. The entire staff was the absolute best and filled my heart with so much love and wisdom. What a sacred community this is. I would recommend this to anyone needing healing from a plethora of things. The food was exceptional, the property amazing, the daily schedule was perfectly laid out. I came back truly transformed.
