I've been going through an extremely difficult time, personally, emotionally, physically and financially. I just got clean off of a 6 year addiction to fentanyl, too, and I can honestly say that if I didn't have someone this astute, professional, experienced, and with the same level of expertise that she maintains in all of the care that she renders to me, I don't know if I would have made it this far into my recovery. I can honestly just about credit her with saving my life, in an incredibly complex variety of ways, that I would have to type pages here to comprehensively explain, and some of the information is even more sensitive than a drug addiction, so this isn't the place. But I can without a doubt in my mind maintain that if everybody had this level of care medically, the world would be a better place. Because ive never felt this level of support before. I know in the back of my mind that my challenges have solutions when I have someone like this on my team. I feel more confident, because I know that during a very turbulent time in my life, transitioning out of an addiction, and with a decade-plus worth of neglected health issues and problems, I have someone who is the best. I honestly didn't know having such a good PCP was like this, because it changes things. NONE of my health problems are being neglected anymore, and I know that the hardest part is already over, because I'm on the rebound now physically. But that brings with it the emotional components, and I have this de-facto proof that the universe loves me and that this world is a good place because I have someone who REALLY, REALLY cares, and has dedicated herself to mastering applying that compassion and drive in the physical realm. She is a golden, illuminating, shining example of what Primary Care should be like. She's the doctor that everyone wishes they had. She does it with grace and empathy. And I really, REALLY don't want to think about what my life would be like if I didn't have her in it. Because when I TRULY needed someone as a good as her to help me seal the deal pushing my way out of out of a lifestyle of self destruction and suffering, she was there. I can NEVER, EVER thank her enough. And I called her a doctor, even though she is technically a Nurse Practitioner, but I swear I never want to be treated at a Primary Care Provider level by ANYONE ELSE, EVER AGAIN. I recently had an appointment that I canceled by mistake & didn’t realize it (I would have been completely fine rescheduling, seeing as it was my mistake) but when I showed up they worked their magic and got me seen immediately! I’ve seen 2 different physicians and both were so personable and took their time with me. I can now be on my husband‘s insurance through his company, but I’m choosing to stick with this office. I struggled with addiction for more than half of my life- and spent the last 6 years addicted to fentanyl. No one could actually have made me want to change, which can make it hard to evaluate treatment centers. Their performance is really regulated by the individual, who no amount of perfect settings or ground-breaking addiction treatment could actually MAKE recover. So my evaluation of this facility is based on how it gave me, and a surprisingly high number of people, the CHOICES available and necessary to change, should the individual decide to do so. I have never been to another program (I’ve been to 7 or 8 in total) that was as flexible and dynamically willing to meet someone where they are at as this one. Which in my opinion makes it one of the best treatment centers I’ve ever had the good fortune to end up at, by the order of the courts. Or really maybe my P.O. But I was at a point in my life where I wanted something better than what I had and was giving myself at the time, and was willing to grow and benefit no matter what that growth and benefit looked like, as long as it was good for me. And this RTC had, honestly, almost EXACTLY what I needed. The staff was/is VERY caring and genuine, with a lot of skin in the game. As in they’ve all been there. There was a variety of different substances of abuse in the life experiences/stories of the staff and counselors hired to provide guidance and counseling at this facility, which I believe is crucial, because there is no substitution for first hand experience. It’s a large group of life-long addicts that ALL decided to change with the help from others, and now they are able to apply their hard-won experience and education in the field to helping other addicts with the option to change, should they decide that they want something different. I struggled while I was here, but the staff never gave up on me. And when I made small successes and advancements, they were quick to celebrate and encourage those developments with me, almost especially if I hadn’t noticed them yet. Their expertise in emboldening growth and recovery is honestly unparalleled, as the close-knit family of recovering addicts that is the faculty here seems to unconsciously fill in each others gaps and provide a comprehensive recovery-expediting environment, as much as any individual or team can expedite something they can’t really, actually control- like someone else’s willingness to change. So the environment they construct and conduct here is expertly dedicated to providing someone with the CHOICE to change. And luckily, if you’re ready to, like I was, that’s what you need the most! They are full of wisdom if your willing to take in the lessons they teach you here. Plenty of food and MANY different walks of life here teaching you patience and understanding. This place has helped me immensely, everyone that works there knows everyone’s name and treat you with respect and it’s evident that they truly care. At first I was pretty nervous about the patients but everyone is so chill and I’ve made some wonderful friends there. My psychologist and psychiatrist are amazing and have identified the issues that I have and have me attending very specific groups to help me with my anxiety and ocd. I’m going to be honest it’s a lot of groups 3 times a week with 4 groups a day but it’s well worth it and I’m on my way to getting better. Oh and it’s totally separate from the hospital 😆 Julie S 1 year ago the experience i had at tri-city iop was life changing. the staff is so amazing, kind, and knowledgeable and they work their best to make sure every patient is making progress. the program can be done from home which makes it that much more accessible. i don’t know where i would be if i had not decided to come here and gain so many helpful tools and points of views that have shifted how i look at the world. i would absolutely recommended this place to anyone in need of guidance through a dark time. annabella lorkovic 3 years ago Tri-City Outpatient Behavioral Health Program has been the only program that has helped me through the difficult times, on my journey with depression. This is my third time going through the process & each time I learn even more about myself & my environment. At a time when excellent psychiatrists & therapists are hard to find, Tri-City Behavioral Health has the best. This year I’m blessed to be able to join my therapy sessions & groups via Zoom. Some people said that they are to strict, but honestly it really was not. The rules were just to keep us safe, like no touching, no covert communication, and stuff like that. It taught me so much, like learning to just say the truth when i do something wrong and just come forward. I learned so much and I am so grateful I got to have this experience. I came out a whole new person. The staff there are great, and the supervisor Shawana is also amazing, I respect her a lot. She truly cares for us and I really looked up to her! The therapists there were also great. All the staff were really good with handling situations like bullying or and drama. When there was any drama the staff would quickly shut it down and we would work it out. We were not just trapped, we got to go on an outing every Sunday. We also would get take-out on Thursdays. I highly recommend this place. It is one of the BEST! You know I don’t even remember how I found this place my dr had me on a lot of pills for decades ir just got worse I needed a change God knows what would have happened it woud’nt be good all I wanted was to get out of Jersey far away that I couldnt run from I didnt see the pictures of this place, Calorfornia here I come When I got off the plane there was a tech holding my name & so we begin These pictures they posted believe me there is so much more the grounds stunning relaxing the pool sitting there seeing the mountains, you can see a horse being trained, the turtle on the side of the house, the goats one guy was from Wyoming his face just glew he never seen or fed goats after the detox your transferred to another house O M G I felt like a Kardasion no kidding my room double doors to a patio I just sat in peace seeing the beauty of these mointakns I’m a city gal, the hummibirds Extraordinary at night 3 bunnies came every night I can hear Ben yelling not to feed them at the time I had 3 grandchilren I missed them so much I named them after them & they honestly they gave me much comfort… ok I could right a novel about this place if you need to fix your life break those chsins GO HERE your going to get that help break those chains in a serene environment with these people that are going to change your life isnt that what were seeking make thst call you will not regret it I’m still here in the mental health program working as a house manager I did it you can do it .. The process was easy and professional from checking in to graduating the program. The facilitators of sessions are engaging and try to further deeper thoughts for conversations and the counselors are the best I have had the pleasure of working with. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. They took care of everything and on August 19th, 2021 I was on a plane headed for California. I will never forget the experience of SBT&D. The way that they operate is amazing. They gave me tools to make it through life without all of the nonsense. They showed genuine care and concern for every individual there. Almost everyone that I know who has been there agrees. They not only focus on the addiction but what the addiction has done to you and how to get you back. They helped me get my license back, get my teeth fixed, my social security card, helped resolve my legal issues and got me to a mental health professional as well. They have a good influence with the courts which helped keep me from doing 2 additional years in jail. Robert was my counselor and I couldn't have asked for a better one. If you are trying to figure out where to go or send your loved one, just ask anyone who has been there. I'd bet that 99% of people who go there would recommend. Andrew oidtman 6 months ago For reasons I hope to one day understand, I have more experience with rehab facilities than most, certainly more than I care to think about. I drank alcoholically for years and had plenty of experience getting DUI’s. What I didn’t have was the self-honesty to accept I had a problem. After 12 years of trying with little success, the team at Present Moments moments helped me learn how to live an honest, sober life. It honestly didn’t happen on the first try for me, I’ve been met with a warm welcome back to PM more than once. Sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly - that’s what the Big Book of AA says. Today, with five years of sobriety, my life is beyond anything I ever dreamed could be mine. I took my 29 year old daughter to detox for heroine addiction for the first time at 15! She has been to 100’s of treatment facilities in the last 14 years, but can’t stay clean. Sometimes quickly, sometime slowly. My experience with her in the 3 years before she turned 18 was that maybe 1 in 10 treatment facilities can be trusted or has any integrity. Present Moments is the 1 in 10 without any doubt. Ask my 25 year old son what he thinks of PM, he’ll say they saved his life too. It’s a long story, but my son ended a 7 year daily 1/5th of vodka habit earlier this year, checked into PM with a 4.1 BAC I might add for color, spent 30 days there and just celebrated 6 months as a sober man. He says he was existing before, PM and Alcoholics Anonymous showed him how to live. In an industry full of ‘money first, care second’ and ‘one size fits all’ treatment centers, Mark and Amy put care first and somehow find a way to figure the rest out. I learned how to live a sober life in 6 months at the PM sober living house. I learned how to get honest and accept that I’m an alcoholic in 5 weeks at PM recovery. Amy even created a new supervisory program for me to get ongoing care and comply with a court order while living at home for 5 months. That’s what I mean by ‘figure the rest out.’ My sober son who now works at a local treatment facility, is a miracle that started at PM. My entire amazing life started with lessons I learned and help I received from the people at Present Moments Recovery.
