If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! They helped me with better parenting skills but I was able to fight my addiction and I have been sober since July 1st 2021. Special shout out to Shawna my counselor and Jessica my therapist. Also thank you all the other counselors and teachers for your amazing support through one of the most difficult times of my life.

Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. Thanks so much! If you are in doubt, try it, if you want to improve your life perspective, try it, if you left and still want a helping community, try to come back and give it another shot. Best wishes to my sisters in motherhood and recovery.

Overall, Brightquest seems to have the potential to be a beautiful place if you make it one and if all those involved (parent, client, referrant, etc) fall under-- to each's own capacity-- a conjoined understanding of what enrolling into the facility truly entails before onboarding. Top of the Line professionals in terms of medical, psychiatric, directorial staff, and coordinators. In the San Diego office, administrative advision and onboarding facilitators seemed to be - at a minimum - understaffed, underprepared, rushed... disjointed, disoriented - retaining inconsistent speech and tonal behaviors. First day, as most everyone will tell you, is definitely whiplashy; so be prepared. Most, if not all therapists are pretty fantastic, though there's a healthy sprinkling that will likely benefit from more seasoning or better balance when it comes to working with the clientele that comes through the facility--especially considering the severity of what Brightquest's treatment plans offer. Resolution could see steps towards improvement with a simple forum on situational and environmental threats, could addtly. benefit from the inclusion of more proactive superiors. (aside from weekly staff meetings which seem to not be too productive, I really just believe there should be a massive overhaul/addition to supervising faculty, or an increase in physical foot traction of prior mentioned superiors, wherever they're holding these mystery figures. Yes, it is true from what I've read in other reviews that plenty key players are conveniently often on vacation. Website also needs an update.) I definitely think that clients should have a say in who they work with throughout their time in treatment, if afforded the luxury-- e.g. building or altering their own teams. The option of choice and communication does so much for clients in a space with inconsistent, often seemingly unclear boundaries and assistance. Also, on the DEI note, not very accommodating in terms of practicing religion. Last and certainly MOST important. If at this point you have any retainer hesitations-- great resources, work study programming, activities, group sessions, and residential function is a very intelligent, strategic layout. Each individual playing a hand in house management, whether that be house managers themselves, night staff, or especially nurse Theresa (who is working 24/7!) are diamonds in the rough of it all. At the end of a long day, throughout any level, at Brightquest (with the right treatment and mentality) you can fall on the network you've built for yourself within the community there. I truly do hope to see the team at BQ San Diego weed out some of the bad parts, as there is so much light and an outpouring of love and friendship in the work done there.

JOSE, PETE, MARIO AND NADIA along with every member of the staff is ABSOLUTELY UNDER PAID FOR THE CARE THEY PROVIDE, THEY NOT ONLY LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE (NO EXAGGERATION) BUT THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE FAMILY FOR THE SHORT TIME I WAS THERE, I OWE MY LIFE TO THE WHOLE ENTIRE STAFF, if it were not for paradise I know I wouldn't be alive, the words THANK YOU and GREATFUL do NOT suffice what that staff means to me and what they are worth, you have a TEAM OF NOTHING BUT ROCKSTARS THERE THAT GO ABOVE AND WAY BEYOND WHAT THEY NEED TO, THEY NEVER DO THE BARE MINIMUM TO GET BY BUT INSTEAD THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOU MATTER, LIKE YOUR SOMEONE SPECIAL AND THAT IS PRICELESS, when your a recovering addic you already have no self-esteem, self respect or self worth but the staff helps you not only recover but they also help you get all the self worth, respect and esteem back as well, I could go on forever so I'll leave it with this, PARADISE ISN'T JUST A REHAB / DETOX FACILITY BUT ITS ALSO A PLACE THAT TREATS YOU LIKE YOU MATTER AND AS A ADDIC THAT MEANS EVERYTHING!!! This place was nice during the outpatient program I was in. My job kind of during seemed me into going to get help, though honestly I had spoken to my supervisor in the hope to seek help, though mentioning thoughts of self harm get you instantly taken to help. Not the best beginning. Anyways, the intake process was scary. Due to lack of space I was in the "intense" area of the facility for a night. That was the toughest night I've had. Either way the doctor didn't think I needed to be there, had me go into the outpatient group/program. It was really good. So this is mostly what I'm focusing on. The group was nice, inviting and really helped me think and learn of tools to use to better manage my anxiety and depression. I learned that neither are bad in a sense, a part of human nature, and generally that rather than fighting the feelings, to her understand them. I won't say it's a magic solution, it took a lot out of me, but in the end I certainly know I'm doing better. Even slowly working my way off my medicine and better noticing the signs of potential episodes or anxiety attacks. I really liked the outpatient program. Better than the years of one in one therapy I had through my usual medical provider.
