When I first arrived there they used to have little boys but shortly after they stopped allowing boys there and only allowed girls to be there. I really remember the nuns there they were awesome there was this one nun that would walk around with her sneakers on wearing her headphones jaming out listen to her music, & dancing around, she used to make me smile and I remember thinking that there could be a chance for me to be happy in my life, which gave me hope, *I TRULY BELIEVED THAT❣️"
If I would have stayed there I also remember a lady named Mary Pickford I don't know about her she just I don't know something about her . I grew up at Maryvale. I lived there from the age of 5 until the age of 15. I loved living at Maryvale, it was my home. I was loved and attended good Catholic schools. I can’t say enough good things about the Nuns and house mothers who took care of us.❤️

Bhc El Hambra saved my life. The staff including nurses and doctors were attentive and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone with mental health issues and trauma. Idk man, I liked it. I’ve seen many bad reviews. Yeah it sucks to be around people who we don’t know, but there are groups we can go to and participate to get a perk. Luckily I didn’t engage in arguments that obviously would have led to bad altercation. I kept to myself and just really spoke to staff. It does get boring but you can have books there to read and pass time. I guess it all depends if you’re problematic or not. I don’t like where I was sent afterwards, but luckily I’ll be transferred somewhere else soon. The therapists there really listen to everyone. I found it interesting only because I like all the attention. But for the most part I learned a lot from the groups. It can get dark and scary, but anyone writing bad reviews should realize that people in there got themselves there.
