Really like the clinic and staff. I just wish the staff would REMIND patients of holidays. I don't make a habit of checking my calendar for holidays. If I was reminded on Sat that Monday closed early, I would obviously get there B4 10:00. I know the old staff always put up flyers to remind us.....it was appreciated!

My husband's daughter found this clinic. It was one of many in a book comprised of Treatment Centers,, Rehabs, (Inpatient as well as Outpatient). Some of them quite pricey. Our best thinking resulted in our steady diet of opiates, heroin and whatever else was available. A week prior, our dealer passed away, leaving us with an RX bottle containing some broken up Vicodin ...Sad, indeed.. We were in withdrawal. I had been to 5 twice in a week. We weren't sleeping and we looked it. The

I attended CFD in 2011 as an adolescent. I’m lucky I had the privilege to rehabilitate here. Of course while I was 16 and 17 years old I hated everything. My freedom was taken away and everything was very regimented. But in hindsight I see the purpose for it all. CFD was the only thing that worked for me long term in healing my eating disorder. This program is excellent and I highly recommend to parents with children struggling with an eating disorder that has taken over their life. I was lucky I had great staff members who really cared about my healing. Dr. A was my main doctor and she is a gifted provider. I’ll never forget her.

Been coming here for a long, long time Through my recovery I have had many counselors some better than others funny how things happen my husband transferred to Medmark from BAART in Oakland crazy we both ended up on Rich’s case load { R.I.P. RICH another great counselor } so you know we both can’t have the same counselors so of course I got kicked to the curb. Best curb I got kicked to { so to speak. } which is currently Nicole Martinez, the best I’ve ever had , She definitely help me get to where I am now she goes above and beyond helped me in my life so much, I don’t even know what I’m gonna do when we goes our separate ways 😔..I wish I can take her with me. Silicon Valley Recovery helped me put together a plan, showed me that sobriety is possible and that I can still have a good time in it. The entire staff team was very supportive and helpful. The facility felt almost felt brand new, fresh. The groups they would hold, produced a lot of new knowledge and really helped to guide me in my recovery. I been coming here for years. I just want to say that this place is so much better than it was before, in the past it wasn't could've come here with all the temptation and dealers out front. It seems that since they got a new Director & she wasn't having it, she made them straighten up and they got a new Fiscal girl who helps with everything. Really stepped their game up. Margarita helped me renew my Medi-Cal, and was very welcoming. She always has water and other drinks and snacks & candy for the patients. she connected me with a local food bank, as well as resources on impatient programs and even help med me find a part-time job. The counselor Pam is hella down to earth, always listens and doesn't judge. I think of her like one of my cool aunties. At this clinic they treat you like a person not just a junkie off the street. Most of the patients we all know each other so we're kind of like family and coming her to interact with other like-minded people who are focused on sobriety.

The Audiology department is great. I was seen promptly and treated by everyone with courtesy and consideration. The clerk was warm and answered my questions with knowledge. Dr. Schmitt remembered me and was her usual kind, friendly, competent self. I'm looking forward to my new hearing aids. I've been volunteering at the San Jose Women's Center for the last seven years. I'm humbled by the work God is doing within this incredible organization. I'm usually there twice a month and able to meet their students and work with the staff. In doing so, I've been able to get to know many of them. They've shared heart breaking stories of the bad habits which have nearly destroyed their lives. However, if they can survive the first few months (the hardest part of the program!) their spiritual souls are revived and they begin to live in hope with a new perspective that transforms their minds to overcome the addictions which have chained them. It's hard to explain, but each time I visit and get an update from them, I can see the power of God at work. It's what keeps bringing me back to serve so I can witness the miracles and encourage these ladies not to give up. If they can hang in there, Teen Challenge will teach them not only what they need to survive, but to thrive in a life after addiction. Every year I return to their annual Galas and am reunited with former students who update me on their successes and how grateful they are for staying the course and trusting God through the process. Our Lord has rewarded them, and often times they tell me that they thought they knew who God was when they entered, but during the course of the program they truly find Him and their life hasn't been the same since! I have no idea how the staff has the capacity to love, extend grace, share their wisdom, and encourage so many women with all that happens at this center; but it's inspiring to know that they can do it with the help of God. When I come across difficult situations in my own life, I just remember the tough love and grace of God from the Teen Challenge staff members and I try emulate the same with the people I encounter. Life in the Center isn't easy, but the year commitment to the program is worth it. I've witnessed it on a regular basis and I thank God this program exists to help those overcoming addictions, and for those of us who want to volunteer and make the world a better place. It takes faith and discipline to succeed, but Teen Challenge has the love and patience to see you through. I highly recommend this organization over many of the other rehab places who have a far less success rate.

So I have been through intensive outpatient programs before for mental health crisis. In particular, the Kaiser one for severe anxiety. It was pretty much worthless. This is honestly one of the best decisions of my life going here. I have to say I am incredibly impressed by every practitioner. I was wary because of the review but another person saying that unqualified people were leading the groups. Most of the classes are led by LCSW's LMFTs and people who have a doctorate in psychiatry or psychology. They have several tracks here. One is trauma -focused. I know there is a wait list for that, but if this applies to you, I encourage you to apply for this list. Another one is for alcohol and substance recovery. Most patients here are not on any of the three tracks, but are usually experiencing a mental health crisis, perhaps spurred by an extremely stressful event such as a divorce or loss or just folks who realize they need to take a few months to focus on their mental Health. The third track is for FND, which is the condition I have. Basically my nerves are overreactive. The condition is diagnosed by neurologists but is treated by psychotherapy, as symptoms are triggered and exacerbated by stress or anxiety. It is incredibly difficult to find treatment programs for this very common neurological condition. I am forever grateful to Dr Lockman, the FND therapist Kathleen Gray (the best therapist I have encountered in years of fairly ineffective therapy over my life) and the other FND group coordinator Kristen for the invaluable support and education. I also attended the other daily classes on healthy communication, mindfulness ,DBT, CBT, ACT and others. I found the group where folks play-acted conversations with significant people in their lives, including themselves, incredibly moving and healing. I would recommend attending this program to anyone, TBH. I can't see anyone not finding this helpful. Essentially all of the classes and therapy are to help you integrate recognition of your emotions and thoughts and accepting them and yourself. The program includes weekly individual therapy and psychiatry appointments, lunch and optional afternoon classes.

This organization is very helpful. They helped with a significant dependency I developed for an anti anxiety medication for 10 years (Ironically given by Kaiser itself). The treatment is very therapy intensive (individual and group) followed with very occasional visits to the psychiatrist. This model in my opinion is much better then the system that got me dependent as I used to only see the psychiatrist who only prescribes. If you join the program they will teach you very useful techniques such as SPARROW, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), getting involved with dependency/addiction groups, and creating a strong support network. If you are dependent expect 2-3 weeks where this is a full time job followed by 10 hours for 4 - 16 weeks. All in all you are getting about 200+ hours of therapy which at current therapist rates of $200/hour equals about $40K in treatment. If you are a Kaiser patient I highly recommend it. Can't thank the staff enough

I can't express how grateful I am to Kaiser Permanente and CDRP on the great help they provided to my child, and my family ultimately. While at first I was disoriented by their response, I've come to realize that they are very dedicated, knowledgeable, and accomplishing wonders with the resources available to them, which are not illimited. Hopefully Kaiser will be able to invest more but meanwhile, Kudos to Dr. Saul and the rest of the staff!
