I had a really memorable experience. Totally changed my mindset in a positive way. Dr. Chanter was great along with the other therapists, nurses and staff. I stayed for 37 days but wouldn t mind staying longer if I needed to. Couldn t recommend this place anymore. I also heard the other locations are great as well.

All the staff were professional, kind, knowledgeable and helpful with every aspect of my recovery. Group therapy was organized and meaningful. Individual counselors provided great support for me and my family. The after care plan is amazing and supportive once you leave the inpatient stay.

My personal experience at new start in concord is was phenomenal. I spent 31 days in the residential program including detox and all around had such a great experience that it was difficult to leave. To start, the medical staff while I was in detox took care of all of my needs. The med techs, nurse practitioners and doctors made sure that I had a comfortable experience while going through the scary process of withdrawing. Not once did I run out of medication and they always made me feel like they cared for my wellbeing and safety. While in residential, the counselors, group facilitators, therapists, and case managers were amazing! Each and every one of them. They had so much knowledge, experience and education, and I learned so much. My personal therapist, Mellisa was absolutely wonderful, and she helped me dig deep and figure out the root causes of my issues that were tied to my past traumas. The family sessions were also extremely helpful. Moving onto the assistant Director and head Director, who both truly cared about the program, the clients, and their staff. It was evident in how the program ran like a perfect machine. They also took us on fun outings, like bowling and going to the beach. The facility was comfortable, clean and well organized. We have full-time staff that keep each bedroom and area of the buildings clean and provided the clients with all of our basic needs. I want to give a shout out to Ofi who was like everyone s mom. We had some awesome amenities too like a gym, A game room, and an outside movie theater with a fire pit. I will truly miss my time at New Start in Concord, and will forever be grateful for this experience. Thank you :)

Been coming here for a long, long time Through my recovery I have had many counselors some better than others funny how things happen my husband transferred to Medmark from BAART in Oakland crazy we both ended up on Rich s case load { R.I.P. RICH another great counselor } so you know we both can t have the same counselors so of course I got kicked to the curb. Best curb I got kicked to { so to speak. } which is currently Nicole Martinez, the best I ve ever had , She definitely help me get to where I am now she goes above and beyond helped me in my life so much, I don t even know what I m gonna do when we goes our separate ways ..I wish I can take her with me. I wish I can give her 20 s but was only given an option of 5 .

The staff here is the best! All of them are very friendly and caring. I personally couldn't ask for a better counselor, Travis is down to earth, straight forward and to the point, yet he is patient, open minded, and always willing to listen before giving his opinion and steering you in the right direction. The number one requirement you must have in order to work at the front desk is to be totally illiterate, unprofessional, depressed, and hard of hearing.Other than trying to be checked in 30 times before they ACTUALLY check you in the nurses are great . They are really the only ones that seem to care about you. And the counselors are a joke so if you are going to get sober you can not depend on this place for Sh but your dose.

I was locked out due to an unlawful eviction in 2022 & lived in my car for a month while attending St Mary's center. I was a breast cancer survivor until 2023 when I was diagnosed cancer-free & in Feb of that year I was housed in a transitional room through St Mary's. They gave me a safe community where I was able to restart my life, take care of my mental & physical health issues, & in Jan 2024 they helped me get permanent stable housing at Depot Community Apts in Hayward. My adult son had been in two prior outpatient rehabs. When insurance covered his treatment at Cliffside, I was initially skeptical of such a luxury experience with weekly massages, sound baths, acupuncture, cleaning and laundry service, fresh, organic cooked meals, outings, yoga, trips to the gym and spectacular views. It seemed more like a vacation I thought. But, it turned out to be just what my son needed. With these experiences and the small ratio of clients:providers, he was able to finally open up and start addressing the pain he had been numbing with substances. Tanya, his case manager, helped him with his needs and setting him up with outpatient care. Roxan, his therapist, was a tremendous help to him. Family sessions are available and the nurses and tech staff also offered great support. Patients have to option to be taken to AA, Smart Start, and NA meetings as well. My son didn't want to leave! My only suggestion would be to have online family meetings available in the evenings/after work hours. I am very grateful for the care my son received.

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude to Cliffside Malibu for Saving and Changing my life forever. They have/had so much more to offer than other places and programs that I have gone to. This time it has really stuck for me. My life is free and reset. The houses make you feel like your at home. The staff is great! Most are in active recovery themselves and some were actually prior clients themselves. That stood out alot to me and gave me comfort and hope. That feeling that someone who I didn't know, really cared about me. Everything was clean, worry free and the good was excellent. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because this rehab is great, with the exception of the director Emily. Ms. Kata and Ms. Linda were fantastic, as were many other faculty. It s a great place to be confined without drugs, and the counselors like Mr. Tom and Ms. Rachel spoke volumes to me. Great place especially for active duty military and veterans!My only problem was with Emily the director at the time who will did anything and everything to keep one at the rehab. I think she just wanted the insurance money.Eventually, I left on my own accord because very little counseling is offered. One on one sessions were rare and by the end of my stay, I left because we were just watching movies during group sessions the whole time.All in all, worth the stay but they will be time where people like Emily will test your patience. She may be gone, so hopefully there s someone new.Celebrating two years sober!!! Thank you Helios!

CDRP is a wonderful program full of counselors that really care about your health. But it won't work if you don't care. They have a nice new facility now, I've gone back to visit and it's really nice, clean, welcoming environment. I have long lasting friends I was able to make through their classes and 5 years sober.

I rated Villa 5 stars because this was the only place I was able to be comfortable. They had a daily schedule of different things to do. During your stay you can have visitors and after the 72 hr hold give you passes to leave the campus for an hour or so. The staff was great and the patients were also welcoming. I was in Villa Fairmont several years ago and while it may have had some problems (more like a 3.5 or 4 star) it was a place that helped me stabilize in a safe location until I was accepted in a Dual Diagnosis Recovery Home (Bonita House). I currently work in the recovery field and live an independent life. To me that is worth all of the struggles that I have had with any of the programs I have been in. Gotta go through hell before you get to heaven. That's just the way it is when you have a diagnosis that isn't socially acceptable... The system may not be perfect and there is certainly lots of broken components, but we need some kind of system and it does work for some. I know because I'm one.

I been coming here for years. I just want to say that this place is so much better than it was before, in the past it wasn't could've come here with all the temptation and dealers out front. It seems that since they got a new Director & she wasn't having it, she made them straighten up and they got a new Fiscal girl who helps with everything. Really stepped their game up. Margarita helped me renew my Medi-Cal, and was very welcoming. She always has water and other drinks and snacks & candy for the patients. she connected me with a local food bank, as well as resources on impatient programs and even help med me find a part-time job. The counselor Pam is hella down to earth, always listens and doesn't judge. I think of her like one of my cool aunties. At this clinic they treat you like a person not just a junkie off the street. Most of the patients we all know each other so we're kind of like family and coming her to interact with other like-minded people who are focused on sobriety.

Yesterday I had an appointment with DR. Robert CAPOZZOLI. He was very professional, friendly, caring and great at his job. He performed his Emg test and explained results so I could understand. This us my second time interacting with the Martinez medical hospital. Everyone's attitude and professionalism was great. Note: I do see patients who tend to be insulting to clinic personnel. I've had hand surgery with Dr Martha Singer. The surgical team is outstanding.

I'm always sad when I read poor reviews especially for female veterans.( USMC, 1979 - 1985 ). i always figured there were vets who deserved the care more than me because my duty stations were 'safe'. Last year, at 64 years old, I activated my VA benefits. I can't be happier about the care I've received from Martinez, CA and Mathers Hospital near Sacramento. EVERYONE has been so great!
