I cannot begin to express what Banyan Palm Springs means to me.
I arrived barely able to walk as withdrawal was setting in. People, both staff and temporary residents would grab my arms and assist me to wherever I needed to go. I was embarrassed initially but everyone of them said “we’ve all been there”.
So, can you imagine if I didn’t say this has been the most amazing recovery home I’ve been to and it’s not my first.
So … the grounds are beautiful and meticulous. The rooms are super clean and stylish (unusual I know) - with comfy beds and good sheets, good pillows and soft duvets.
The nursing station (open 24 hrs) is always listening to you and making you feel normal - which is wonderful. They’re knowledgeable and understanding and kind.
The kitchen has produced 3 lovely meals a day with a complete salad bar open 24 hours.
The temporary guests (us) have been beyond kind and good and interesting and absolutely respectful. AND, they come from all over the… Seattle, Virginia,,New Jersey, Canada and all of California.
The staff … well this might take some time.
Everyone of them are willing to help with whatever you need even if it isn’t their “job role” Even the cleaning and maintenance crew will help you of whatever direction you need pointing in. The counselors always have an ear and have a genuineness that goes beyond.
The case workers are always doing they’re very best to solve the many problems that pop up daily - I mean going out of their way to do so.
But truly the finest part is the programs and program structure. Terribly knowledgeable staff that teach yes the 12 steps but also what is your brain doing with addiction and what is your body doing with addiction.
All in a completely safe and as I said beautiful environment.
So, as I said I can’t say enough and I certainly can’t imagine having gone anywhere else.
If you are looking and questioning … stop now and call them.
You shan’t regret one minute of it.
I am being discharged tomorrow and feel like a million dollars - they have signed me up for Telehealth and early morning Smart meetings as I begin full time work again - and I will so so miss everything about BanyanPalmSprings!

I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Stephen Krupey at Pain Relief and Wellness Center in Cathedral City for over ten years, and I cannot praise him and his team enough. Dr. Krupey is an exceptional chiropractor who is deeply committed to providing personalized chiropractic solutions that address a wide range of needs, from back pain and neck pain to headaches and muscular tightness. His expertise extends beyond treating injuries and chronic conditions; he also focuses on improving overall health and wellness.
One of the standout aspects of Dr. Krupey's practice is his holistic approach. At my first visit, he thoroughly explained how chiropractic care works and conducted a comprehensive evaluation to ensure the treatment plan would be tailored to my specific needs and health goals. This personalized care has been instrumental in managing my chronic back pain and maintaining my overall well-being.
Recently, I entrusted Dr. Krupey with the care of my 12-year-old daughter, who is a hobby gymnast. She was initially apprehensive, but Dr. Krupey's patient and humorous explanation of the procedures quickly put her at ease. His ability to connect with patients of all ages is truly remarkable.
The Pain Relief and Wellness Center offers a variety of services beyond chiropractic care, including pain relief, orthotics, and massage therapy. The staff is welcoming and professional, always ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment. They also accept insurance, making the process seamless and stress-free.
Dr. Krupey's dedication to his patients extends to his unique sense of humor—he even gladly accepts tips, but only in the form of stock tips! This light-hearted approach adds a personal touch that sets his practice apart.
If you are seeking a chiropractor who genuinely cares about your health and well-being, I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Krupey and his team at Pain Relief and Wellness Center. You won't be disappointed!

I completed treatment here seven years ago and it was life-altering; I continue to abstain from alcohol. The team approaches care with genuine compassion and professionalism, creating an environment where real healing can take place. I am lucky enough to still know many of the staff and peers that I initially met while in treatment and I remain engaged in the alumni program - building community has been key to maintaining sobriety.

I desperately needed to get sober & doing it on my own wasn’t working. I had no idea what to expect from this place. From my very first phone call, to the day I was discharged, the staff, nurses, techs & counselors were absolutely amazing & incredibly friendly & compassionate. The women I met and lived with at Fisher Hall surrounded me with nothing but love and support & for the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disease. The property was beautiful, the food was good & I loved cruising the book store. The psychiatrist, Young, however, was the only disappointing part of my 28 day stay. His comment, “…in 20 years, if you live that long,” was hurtful, especially for someone so vulnerable & new to rehab and sobriety. He also made other upsetting comments to other women in my hall, but that is not my story to tell. Other than that, my stay was amazing & it gave me the tools I desperately needed. Thank you, Hazeldon Betty Ford!

Overall I had an excellent experience at BF - the only negative comment I could make was the atmosphere in detox- I found the the environment to be dark and depressing, the rooms smelly and a rare and occasion condescending staff member - the minute I walked into DuPont Hall everything changed- I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive and communicative group of patients - I felt very fortunate to have been assigned Bryan Wilmoth as my counselor- he is exceptional at what he does - the small group gatherings were the highlight of my time here at BF - Bryan provides a safe environment that allows people to open up and express themselves in a non judgmental way - he provides levity when necessary and the written exercises were enlighten and productive- I can’t say enough good things about Bryan - last thing - the food was inconsistent and could certainly be better in my opinion - thx for the opportunity to review my experience at the BFC

Jeff is the man. ….
Been there twice and it took traction during round two back on New Year’s Day 2021. Recovery and Rehab you can get whatever you want. Their curriculum at the Ranch is successful just like at different recovery treatment centers. So surrender and go with their program, or you can’t do anything and figure you “got this” or maybe do shady things even there. Your choice, surrender and take it in and try something new, or loiter with intent and see how it works out for you. First tried AA on 12-01-2007 but never surrendered ( figuring I got this) but when I gave up, surrendered, and wanted it no matter what, I finally got sober, do the math on my sobriety and waisted 13 years trying to do it my way. So in AA, or, NA you can do or get everything you want. I want to be sober and nothing else. I surrendered 100% 01-01-21. Thanks Mike and the rest of team and family from the Ranch for saving me.

I went through this program in 2023, and will forever recommend this place to anyone and everyone I come in contact with that is fighting addiction. The staff genuinely cares and puts their whole hearts in everything they do. When I admitted, my son was in the system, I was facing a joint suspension if I kept doing what I was doing. But, with their help, I just hit my 16 months clean and sober November 19th, I have my son, my CPS case is CLOSED, I successfully completed probation without any violations, and am now in school and dedicating my life to helping others the way this whole facility helped me. Morongo Indian Health Clinic is the only Indian clinic in southern California that does root Canals. IDK why other clinics do not do root Canals but I am registered Navajo Nation, I pay roughly $250 per crown. Root canal or not, only cost is for the crown. "Dr. D." Is the #1 dentist. He should get approved another Hawaii vacation or better. Dr. D does not understand why ALL dentists do not do root canals, he says that all dentists have to do them to graduate dental school, so why can't they do them at every Indian Health clinic? I live in Barstow but it's worth it to go to Dr. D at morongo for my dental needs.

The Giving Tree helped my to get my life back!!! I stayed, learned and listened!! I consider myself a success story!!! I lived there for 2 over years. I think I moved in in 2005. It was such a huge part of my life. I just miss it and think about it every day the friendships I made , the women/people I met really made an impact on me. I saw some come, and go, some stay and some leave some succeed and Some weren’t finished out there yet, and had to just go back out. But I stayed listened and learned. I had a few rough times here and there, but made it through. Went from having absolutely nothing to now having everything. I moved out in November 2006. But I’ll never forget my time there. It’s really hard to put into words, but the giving tree has a special place in my heart forever and always. Help teach me how to just do the next right thing, get up , show up, helped me to be accountable, forgive myself and too nice on to just put 1 foot in front of the other. When I got there, I didn’t have much money my brother and sister paid my first six weeks rent, after that I was on my own. I had to find a job so to make things work out . I talked to the girls that were already working and I would help clean the house for them and they would buy my cigarettes or pay me five bucks. So could get coffee and creamer, lol a newly clean/sober persons needs the code and cigarettes!! I have quit smoking Manny years ago… Then I went out and ended up getting not only one job, but three jobs went to meetings 6 AM and 10 o’clock at night and worked all in between did what my sponsor said and the house mom at giving tree told me to do. And my life just fell into place.. I now have two kids , at the time of the giving tree I didn’t have children . I have a house a good job a great husband who I’ve been with since my time at the Giving tree, we actually met in recovery. After we both had some time accumulated… but it all worked out. Thanks to the great start. I had at the giving tree. I will forever love this place and Donnette and everything it represents. Thank you Giving Tree!!!

Indio, CA | The Riverside County Substance Use Program encompasses a range of addiction treatment services for men and women. The program provides early intervention services and medication assisted treatment (MAT) involving methadone, buprenorphine or Vivitrol. Ongoing support is offered in the form of peer groups, relapse prevention, and ongoing counseling t | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I just wanted to come on here and tell my story. In 1991 I turned 21 years old and was completely strung out on meth. My boss referred me to this same center and they were able to put me with a counselor who told me I wouldn't survive at the rate I was going. I would be dead in a couple of years at most. His candor and compassion led me to seek treatment and get clean. Now 30+ years later, I'm still clean. Thank you for being there for me when I really needed someone. I am truly grateful.
