My name is Colin and I’m an alcoholic and needed to find recovery for a better state of lifestyle and health. Design for Change provided a structured environment and reliable access needed for recovery. The routine, resources, and accountability offered a stable foundation for developing healthier habits and clearer direction. Overall, my experience was consistent with what the program aims to provide. I was able to focus on my goals, maintain sobriety, and utilize the structure as a stepping stone for my continued personal growth. As of November 18, 2025 I have maintained my recovery and am over a year sober from alcohol. Design for Change saved my life.

I voluntarily admitted myself into Question 2 Recovery on August 10th 2025 for alcohol addiction. I completed my insurance information on their website and Their admission team contacted me in a short time and ensured me of my decision. They were compassionate, engaging and knowledgeable. Daniel was the first person I spoke with and he stay d in touch with me until I arrived to their facility. He set up my flight from New Orleans to LAX and answered all my questions and provided constant support. I was picked up at LAX by their driver and he was reassuring and kind. Upon arriving at the house in Lancaster CA, I was scared but I knew I made the right decision. The staff was inviting and compassionate. My team members were welcoming and for the first time, I had hope and faith about my recovery. The wide range of holistic and evidence based therapies were excellent and I was prepared for my journey of recovery and tools I needed to return home after 30 days of treatment. Today I am approaching my 3 months of sobriety, and I’ll always be grateful for my healing experience at Quest 2 Recovery! I attend the alumni support Troy on Wed evenings when able, and I plan to return for my 1 year birthday to share my experiences. A couple of shout outs… Desaray -thanks for your amazing outings and all your support. Alex-you rock as a case manager and Discharge planner. Chef-I miss your delicious meals! Maureen- your therapy skills and compassion is inspiring. Blaze-I miss your being my alarm cock and good night meds reminder! Arley-thanks for craft groups and alumni connections! Everyone was helpful and I am forever grateful. 🙏💕😇 Celeste G

I have referred friends to this facility who were struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Alpha Recovery offered a beautiful, comfortable home with amazing amenities. A perfect place to heal. As an IMS Certified Provider, they provided a medically supported detox under a Doctor's care and made the clients feel as comfortable as possible through the entire detox process and supported by highly credentialed and compassionate staff. They offer all levels of care and have extremely high success rates. Even for those who had relapsed several times prior to admitting to treatment at their facility. It is a family style environment, with single rooms available. The outside pool and jacuzzi are relaxing with an amazing view of the mountains and a gorgeous sunset. They have a fantastic weight room and Large Flat Screen TV's in the bedrooms. A fireplace and an outside Home Fire Pizza maker. Just a great, comforting, relaxing, and healthy environment to support long term sobriety. I highly recommend ,

They provide a wide array of services, including detoxification, therapy, and aftercare support, all tailored to individual needs. On her last visit, she was truly motivated to change her life, and the center's holistic approach played a critical role in her recovery. Now, she's thriving and doing exceptionally well. I came to a point in my life where I was done with drinking and figured I knew nothing about sobriety I could easily do 90 days to a year without Alcohol Yet I could not sustain it. I reached out to my son who had spent sometime on the business side of recovery and knew of all the recovery centers in So Cal. He highly recommended Valley Recovery Center for which I’m grateful and appreciative of.. It was a big step and I was ready to be Sober. It was a bit humbling for me but I was willing to do the work….Giving it all the percent I had I really believe I did my 30 days with a really great group of gentlemen in recovery as well which the counselors kept commenting on the chemistry we had. And being the best group they had in a long time!! The facility was top notch and I took full advantage of all the exercise equipment, weights, pool for swimming and the almost quarter mile circular driveway..They have a couple of steep hills on property as well..I lost 30lbs while I was there… I took the opportunity to get fit while becoming sober of mind, spirit and body…and decided to make fitness part of my sobriety journey!! Some of my recovery mates made comments like What’s up..I told them I was training for the fight of my life…The fight would be with sobriety when I left there…Funny how some of them started working out the same way! The counselors, instructors, therapist and Dr.’s were great..Tough at times but great..I always got the feeling while there that they were always rooting for me!! I’ve been sober almost 3 years..I haven’t been perfect and had 2 falls that lasted less than a week each..I was able to right myself immediately from the thing I learned the most at VCR…To build a network around you in case you fall and for me stick to a routine of taking care of yourself… The other thing that still sticks with me everyday was that day in recovery when I finally/truly learned the word shame ..I couldn’t even say the word…That was a real fight for me and took a couple of days to sink in but when it did and I came to understand it and admit it was the day that I no longer had that unknowing thing that gnawed at me and would get me all twisted at times and I would need to drink it away and reset my unconscious mind…. Anyways..Recovery is one step at a time and a great 1st step is wanting to be sober and the second great step would be toward Valley Recovery Center!!! (Btw-One of the best things about being there is having a cook on hand for all 3 meals…The food while there was the best) Also know if you choose this Sobering Journey that for me now..Everyday I wake up is the greatest day I’ll ever live..Best wishes to you!!

I entered Cycles of Change thinking the only problem I had was with abusing drugs and alcohol. But really I had no idea how to live life sober until I started working with my counselor. Which was the next day. The staff are extremely hands on with every client. I was shocked at how hands on each staff member was with every client. They loved me when I didn't love myself. Cycles of Change showed me a new way of life, they introduced to me the 12 Steps of recovery through the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. I have never been a reader but I found myself not being able to put the book down. I honestly can't thank Cycles of Change enough for saving my life, and showing life is worth living without drugs and alcohol. Today I have 2 years clean and sober and my life is so amazing today. I never thought I could stay sober an hour better yet 1 year. Of course I have good days and bad days, but I have tools to deal with life today.

Well we put our self's in this situation that we are in, and yes it's a business, and I say Thank Goodness for this business, I like very much the people who work here, my counselor is great, the dosing people are great, I have a couple Favorites, but I'm Very Thankful for these Methadone Clinics, it got me off of Heroin, and with Methadone I dont have to worry about getting a drug that god knows what's in it, I know what's in the Methadone. I have been on this program for many years, that also is my fault, any time I want to get detoxed, I am able too, they dont force you to stay on it. But it has worked for.

I personally am very grateful for the staff at this clinic. As I am sure everyone can imagine they get all types of clients and some people are jerks. If you go in there with a good attitude and treat others the way you want to be treated you will have a excellent experience. The counsellors are great, if you want to talk and work through your issues they are there for you if you don't want to be bothered they understand that too. Some people go there to actually get help and some people are just there because they are out of money and don't want to be sick wich I have been in both situations myself so I get it. I read a comment complaining about the dose increases and I have never experienced any of what they are talking about. This is actually how it works, if you need an increase then you knock on your counsellors office door and ask for one, they ask you how you are doing and if you simply tell them my dose is not cutting it they will put in for a increase with the doctor. Within the next 2 days you will have it unless its the weekend then you may have to wait until Monday. I have never been given a hard time about an increase. As a matter of fact I was getting regular increases until I reached the dose that worked for me. They offer 2 different programs 1 is for maintenance and the other is to taper to quit. The choice is yours wich one you choose. When you go to get your dose it's usually very quick, you check in and they call you 5 minutes or less later. You are required to take a urinalysis monthly and when you first start. Nobody says anything if you are dirty but if you want to get take home doses you must be clean for 4 months I believe and then they will start you with 1 week at a time and you can work up to 2 weeks worth of take homes I believe. I have never had any problems with any of the employees there at all. I have seen a few attitudes here and there but who doesn't have days like that? Like I said it was never for no reason either and like I also said they get all types of clientele and some people are just rude a holes. I think the counsellors are great people, I do think they might have a little too much of a case load as in too many patients but I have been happy with the 2 different counsellor's that I have had. I personally prefer dosing to suboxone because I have a lot less cravings. People say you are just trading one addiction for another and that is true to an extent. But you are not going to get a bad dose here and overdose and possibly die. It's all up to you and what you want to do with your life whether you want maintenance or to taper off everything. When I was seeing a different doctor getting prescribed subutex I was getting 8-8mg pills a day prescribed to me. Now that doctor didn't care at all about me and it wasn't a secret. I definitely just traded drug dealers and that doctor cost me $2400 for my pills plus $200 for the script per month. I tapered myself down to 2 pills a day mainly because I couldn't afford to pay for my script. When I asked that doctor about getting off of everything he said that I had to stay on it forever. I didn't like the idea of having to rely on a medication just to feel normal and not get sick or have bad cravings. Every 12 step meeting I went to would say that if you are on medication then you are not sober and would make you feel like a piece of crap for taking it. So I decided to stop taking it and it didn't work of course. Then I had a different doctor explain to me that just because I take a medication it is not the same as getting high. He confirmed that you can't even get high from the medication and that people have to take different medications every day for all kinds of reasons so I shouldn't beat myself up for taking a medication that keeps me from getting dope and getting high. My point is that even if you end up taking a medication for the rest of your life don't beat yourself up over it and it's nobody else's business what medications you take so don't take crap from anyone about it. Any prescription is much safer than street drugs.

I cannot begin to express my appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Recover Integrity, and most especially to Yeshaia, one of the Founders. As the mother of a young, adult son with addiction and serious mental health issues the choice of a healing path forward was fraught, scary and vast. The care, empathy, skill, respect, knowledge and follow-through from Shy has been incredible. They really, really care about each and every person who comes to them, and each person’s individual needs are met with care and deep thoughtfulness. I cannot recommend this organization highly enough. If you or a loved one are in need of help, a truly supportive program, a therapeutic community and an experienced team who can help, look no further than RI.

Like nearly all addicts, I was scared to take the first step towards recovery, but from the moment I walked through the doors of Recover Integrity I knew I was in the right place. The compassionate and knowledgeable staff, the serene environment, and the comprehensive programs tailored to individual needs truly set Recover Integrity apart. Each day, I felt supported and understood, which made my journey towards sobriety more manageable and less intimidating. The therapists are top-notch, equipped with the latest techniques and research to help navigate the complexities of addiction. Group sessions provided a sense of community, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in my journey. Beyond the therapy, the amenities at the center were top tier. The rooms were comfortable, the food was nutritious and delicious, and the additional activities like TMS therapy made a significant difference in my overall well-being. Today, I am proud to say I am sober, and I owe my success to the dedicated team at Recover Integrity. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anyone seeking help with alcohol addiction. It's not just a treatment center; it's a sanctuary for healing and hope. Adam and Shai, from the bottom of my heart, Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Detox was tough, but having a therapist on site who actually listened and helped me work through my anxiety made all the difference. The chef made meals that felt home cooked and comforting, which might sound small, but when you’re trying to get clean it means a lot. What I appreciated most was how personal everything was. With only six beds, I never felt lost in the shuffle. The staff to client ratio meant I always had someone checking in on me, and there was support 24/7. I didn’t feel judged just cared for. Leaving, I felt healthier, clearer, and actually hopeful about the future. It wasn’t just about getting sober, it was about learning how to live again. I’ll always be grateful for my time at Bright Mission Recovery.

This was my first experience at a treatment program. I was very nervous upon checking in and the staff were unbelievable! Sandy did my initial intake and from what I remember lol, she was SO patient and SO kind. I was initially going to stay just for a week to detox but I ended up staying the full 30 days and I’m so glad I did. The entire tech team and staff are amazing! Nick, Sandy, Jorge, and Sean were some of the most caring people I’ve met they made the entire experience that much better. The techs truly care about you and your well being. I was upset a few nights and both Sandy and Nick made sure I was okay and talked with me until I was better. Sahar the counselor checked in with me weekly and was very sweet. Barbara the nurse is so amazing and sweet! Emil was also incredible he got me a uber to the facility and helped me with my disability throughout my stay and always checked in to see how I was doing! Also he always brings his beautiful dog, Luna! I can’t recommend healthy living enough. Thank you for everything healthy living! P.S I discharged on oct 29th still sober and going strong haha!

I moved out of my dads house and into still waters. It had structure that was not enforced upon me growing up. Following the rules of the house and working a program of sobriety has allowed me to maintain 10 + years of sobriety. This was my 3rd sober living and is by far the best mens sober living in the valley. The Camaraderie and overall positivity in the home is unmatched.
