I had the pleasure of working with Embark Behavioral Health at San Martin for the past year as a therapist, and it was a truly rewarding experience. The team is genuinely committed to bringing joy and healing to clients and their families. Being part of clients' recovery journey was truly fulfilling and it was a privilege to witness clients as they healed, grew, and reconnected with their loved ones. Embark offers a comprehensive care approach, supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes residential staff, clinical therapists, a medical team, and an academic coordinator. The program provides intensive therapy, experiential activities, life skills training, and academic support, all within a nurturing, home-like environment. The team works closely together to tackle the daily challenges clients face, keeping families in the loop to ensure the best outcomes. Embark’s ongoing commitment to innovation makes a real difference in the lives of clients and their families. As a new clinician, my time at Embark has been one of the most valuable experiences of my career. I’ve learned so much from the team through our daily interactions and the unique challenges we’ve faced together. This experience has helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I’m leaving with a deep sense of pride in the work we’ve done. I’m confident that the program is in good hands and will continue to thrive.

We took our Son to Embark San Martin and we have had great results so far. Our Son is beginning to turn around after just a few weeks in the program. The staff has been extremely professional and helpful. Right in the middle of treatment, we had problems with insurance denying benefits before our Son is ready to be discharged, and as any parent might feel, this was way beyond stressful, and scary. Throughout this challenge with insurance, all staff at Embark was amazing. They supported us, stood behind us in every way, showed concern and care for our family and our child and didn’t limit their engagement with us to their normal 8-5:00 hours. They were available every step of the way including just checking in on us to make sure we were alright as parents in an unbelievably stressful situation. We went after multiple appeals and the insurance denial was overturned because we never gave up fighting for the rights of our child to receive appropriate treatment. Our Son continues his treatment there and he has been able to form connections and build trust that is enabling him to get the help he so deserves to receive. My husband and I are very grateful to Embark, and all of the staff, as this will change the life of our family forever.

I think this is a wonderful rehab, the facilities are beautiful, the food is amazing (I have never even had food this good at a restaurant), and above all they have really helped my husband. Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! This rehab helped him so much he actually chose to stay LONGER, and I am for once excited for what the future can bring.

My experience here throughout my last few months has completely changed my whole outlook on life. Before I got here I thought my life was going towards the end. My body was failing and mental state was terrible. Every part of the program touches on every aspect of the addicts life. Now that I have finished the program and started living daily life with all of the gains I got throughout the program, failure isn’t an option. I know I can truly be happy sober now. I finally gained back the love and support from my life partner and best friend I always knew was still there. My mom also believes in me again which is so important to me. The possibilities and happiness are endless now. Thank you Elevate.

As the partner of someone who entered Bright Future Recovery, I cannot express enough appreciation for the staff and the care they provide to every client. The regular updates through calls and texts were incredibly helpful and reassuring for me as a wife during such an emotional time. My husband received exceptional care through group therapy, supportive staff, fun sober outings, and outside recovery groups. He was able to experience new things in a safe environment surrounded by people who genuinely cared about all of the clients and their recovery journey. I am forever grateful to Bright Future Recovery for everything they have done for our family. They have truly given my husband a bright future in recovery.

Bright Future recovery center has saved my life. Before coming here I was drinking way more than I’d like to admit, but after 30 days doing inpatient treatment I feel like a brand new man. The staff here is incredibly caring and passionate about the work they do, and I’ve had nothing but great experiences while being here. If you’re not sure if this is the right place for you, just know being here has been like being at a second home for me. I hope anyone that is considering rehab will consider Bright Future as the place to go.

All I have to say is I could not have gotten clean with NLR! This place is amazing all the staff are excellent make you feel good about being there. Walking in to the gates I had so many emotions but seeing everyone smile and say hello gave me some ease. If you are looking to sleep all day and think you’re on vacation this definitely ain’t the place for you. You’re busy all day. The classes you take a lot from them Mitch and Rob man they really pump knowledge that will have like shit was it really that bad that I needed to be out there doing x y z. The chief Shilpa ABSOLUTELY AMAZING L!!! Meals amazing 5 star and she is just the sweetest. Lupe chief Shiloh’s assistant absolutely amazing!!! All the clinical techs all so cool very friendly they too started their journey with new life so they know exactly what you’re going through cause they come from the same life styles. I recommend new life too everyone in the addiction. Today I have 90 days clean by the grace of god and new life.

I had a really positive experience at New Life Recovery Center. From day one, everyone made me feel welcome and not judged. It’s a calm, supportive place where you can actually focus on getting better and figuring things out. What makes this place different is the staff. Every person I met has been through addiction themselves, so they truly get it. You’re not talking to people reading from a book. You’re talking to people who have lived it and come out the other side. That shows in the way they listen, the way they talk to you, and the patience and compassion they bring every day. The groups were helpful and real. People share honestly and support each other. The counselors and techs are down to earth and always willing to talk if you’re having a rough day. You can tell they care and want you to succeed. If you’re looking for a place where people understand recovery on a personal level and treat you with respect and kindness, I’d recommend New Life Recovery Center. It’s a solid, supportive community for anyone trying to get their life back on track.

This hospital is great for Nurses services. They all come in with help patients in mind. A couple of nurses were outstanding to provide services: Ailan for finding the medical situation and Lourdes who helped 5 nights while I was there. These two are deserved 10 out of 10. And their manager Krisner who helped for getting attention immediately. All these ladies worked at 3 CVE.

I have had an amazing experience while here at the Camp Recovery Center. All of the good things I've heard are true, and more. The Staff and people here are kind, respectful, and helpful and make it a very comfortable, relaxing, and motivating experience. I have had a lot of fun, gone on trips for professional surfing lessons, and attended very helpful and enjoyable classes regarding rehabilitation to keep me sober, healthy, and motivated. Also, the food here is amazing and made by professional chefs. They help you forget about any of the psychological past difficulties of the past and help you overcome anything that stands in your way. A lot of help from Hector, Manny, and Russel has helped me on this journey at this camp. I would recommend this camp over any other possible rehabilitation facility.

Choosing to go to The Camp Recovery Center was one of the hardest but best decisions of my life. The staff truly cares about your recovery—from the therapists to the support staff, everyone treated me with dignity and respect. The serene environment really helped me disconnect from the chaos of active addiction and focus entirely on healing. The group sessions were eye-opening, and the tools I learned there are things I still use daily in my sobriety. If you or a loved one are struggling, I highly recommend this place. It gave me my life back." Huge shout out to Russel, Amanda, Chloe, Anna and David for being such amazing technicians. I genuinely believe you are the heart and soul of this program And to Hector, Ronnie, Manny, Lucas, Dara, Jon and Muhammad you all have been instrumental in this process and I’m forever grateful for wisdom and community that you are building.

Wellness Recovery Retreat Center (WRRC) Review I am beyond grateful for my time at WRRC. The staff here truly cares, and that makes all the difference. Their passion, kindness, and dedication create a safe, healing, and supportive environment. Lindsey Singleton, Program Director – You’ve built a team of winners! Everyone here loves what they do, and it shows. Your dog, Xara, is a magical member of this family, and I’m so happy she became my friend. Caitlin Draper, Therapist – Your insight and patience helped me grow. Thank you for your guidance and for the feedback on my baking skills—it gave me new confidence! Aaron Lieben, Intern Therapist – You genuinely care about the clients. Keep soaking up everything from Caitlin—you’re learning from one of the best! Nikki Geranios, Program Manager – Your hard work behind the scenes does not go unnoticed! You deeply care about recovery, and I appreciate you (and your adorable dog, Oscar!). Michaella Lee, Case Manager – Michaella, you are an absolute angel. Your kindness, patience, and support made all the difference in my time here. You truly make people feel seen and valued, and I’ll always be grateful. Anyone who crosses paths with you is lucky. Also, I only got to meet your beautiful dog, Papa, once, but I’m looking forward to another opportunity to hang out with him when I come back to visit in May! ❤️ Kritika Kailash, Case Manager – I wish we had more time to connect! I hope your grandma and family are doing well. David Pavkovich, Technician – Your goofiness and humor always brought a smile, even in deep personal work. That’s a gift. Rita, Technician & Weekend Chef – I’ll miss our playful banter (even if it confused others)! You always made WRRC feel like home. Charisse, Technician – I appreciate your insight and experience. Our drives to meetings and recovery talks were always meaningful. Suzie Baxter, Technician – I’ll miss our late-night and early-morning talks! You’re the best cat mom ever, and I hope to see pics of your cats someday. Gerry, Facility Manager – Our talks about Kona, family, and recovery were great, and your breakfasts were next level! That ham frittata was amazing! Gina Garcia, World Dance Instructor – Your dance classes were always fun—sometimes easy, sometimes a challenge, but always uplifting! Audrey, Fitness Coach – I admire your dedication! Your workouts were perfectly balanced—not too easy, not too hard, but I felt them for days! August Materazzi, Chef – Your food is healthy, delicious, and well-planned for every dietary need (including my dislike of mushrooms!). You’re a fantastic chef. Gary Johnson, Engineer – We all appreciate your hard work around the house. Hope to run into you in Hawai‘i someday! You should definitely visit Volcanoes National Park again. Cheree Ashley, WRRC Owner Thank you for helping me get to WRRC! Even though I planned on Avila Heights, I’m so grateful for this experience. Congratulations on adding WRRC to your program portfolio! I have to say—I’m extremely impressed with the team here. The staff is outstanding, and I hope you can give them all raises soon because they truly deserve it. They are some of the most dedicated professionals in the field. To Those Seeking Recovery: WRRC isn’t just a treatment center—it’s a family. The staff loves what they do, and that makes the experience 100x better. Their kindness, patience, and dedication create an environment where you feel truly cared for. If you need a place to heal, this is it. Leaving is bittersweet, but I do so with immense gratitude. Thank you, WRRC, for giving me the tools, strength, and hope to move forward. I will always hold this place close to my heart. Mahalo nui loa, Justin G. ☮️❤️🤙🏼

I had been losing my battle with recovery for almost fifteen years when Wellness Retreat was recommended to me. I came here severely addicted and further traumatized by what I put myself and my family through. I needed a place where I would be treated with dignity, individually recognized for what has been ailing me and personally encouraged. This what I found here, and with a genuine compassion I have never seen or felt as an addict. There is an exceptional quality here, from checkng-in through medical treatment, group processing, education, abundance of nutrition, therapy excercise, wellness and technical assistance. With a maximum of five other clients to go through the recovery process with, the Directors of the program and even the CEO rolled up their sleeves personally caring for my recovery process. For the first time in my life since I was introduced to substances I don't hate life without them. It has been almost five months since I left wellness Retreat and I still go back on Monday afternoons to join the dance classes that gave me so much hope and happiness when I was feeling so low and dark in the beginning. This is more than a Rehab, this is a Wellness Center. If you want a life worth living without drugs and alcohol, start here.

Working with Riviera Living has been an absolute pleasure for me. I have truly enjoyed leading wellness and movement sessions for the residents — their enthusiasm, openness, and warmth create such a beautiful energy in every class. It’s clear that Riviera Living fosters a supportive and uplifting environment, and I feel grateful to be part of it. What stands out most is how deeply the staff cares for their residents. Their dedication shows in everything they do — from thoughtfully organizing wellness activities to ensuring every resident feels included, seen, and supported. The team is always kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in creating a community that feels like home. Thank you, Riviera Living, for welcoming Earth & Ether into your space and allowing me to share movement, breathwork, and healing with such a wonderful group. I look forward to continuing our work together and supporting your residents’ well-being.

My disabled but independent son has been at Riviera living for over a year now. Riviera has a medication room; Pedro is very good at making sure my son takes his medication twice a day. They re-order his medication when needed and have it mailed to the facility. They have a cafeteria that cooks really hearty homestyle meals three times a day and snacks in between. The housekeeper Susan is very aware of everyone that comes and goes. She cleans each room once a week and is like a Mom to the residents. One attendant- Elizabeth saved my son's life when she noticed he was acting strangely and followed him to his room where he had collapsed and was not breathing well. She called an ambulance. Overall, I think that the staff are very vigilant but overworked. I think that they should hire more attendants so there is always at least 2 at a time in each house, even at night. I think it would be better if they opened a cafeteria in each home so that the residents don't have to cross the street to get to the cafeteria. Also- it would be good if they could organize hair cut visits and pedicure visits because my son will not go on his own and cannot cut his toenails by himself. The laundry is down the street so it is inconvenient for the residents to do their own laundry.

Look no further for outstanding PT sessions from skilled, professional, caring staff. Nice campus setting, good parking, spotless clean facility. Easy to reach, just a few minutes from 17. Very disappointed with two other facilities I was referred to during earlier years. Almost gave up on medical care. The GS Hospital is an eye opener and gave me new hope. I want to give a huge thank you to Silicon Valley Recovery for all the help, support, and healing I received while I was in treatment. My therapist, Nick, was incredible—he truly helped me do the internal work I needed on a personal level. I’m also grateful to my counselor, Joaquin, and to Joaquin and Sam for helping me with all of my legal and DMV issues during my stay. English is my second language, and sometimes I felt a little intimidated—especially when my English felt broken—but everyone there was so supportive. They made me feel at home, accepted, and confident. That meant so much to me. During my time at SVR, I grew a lot as an individual. They helped me build a new way of life, and recovery has shown me how amazing life can be. I’m truly grateful for that. You can really feel the dedication and compassion from everyone at SVR. The love and care they show each client is something special, and it made a huge difference in my experience. The program itself is amazing—I enjoyed every activity, every outing, and every meeting. A big shout-out to housekeeping, the chef, the technicians, the facilitators, the medical staff, the nurses, John, Sonia, and everyone else who works so hard behind the scenes. Thank you for everything you do. This place truly made a positive impact on my life. I’m looking forward to continuing to be part of my SVR family through the alumni program.

I don’t even know where to begin — Silicon Valley Recovery Center changed my life. I arrived here broken, scared, exhausted, and unsure of where to turn next. From the moment I walked in, the entire team accepted me with open arms. They met every need I had, without hesitation or judgment. They didn’t just give me treatment — they gave me safety, dignity, and hope. As a member of the LGBTQ community and an African-American man, I am always mindful of where I seek support. Not once did I feel judged, misunderstood, or discriminated against here. I felt respected, valued, and seen. That alone is priceless. They also welcomed my dog, Asher — which was non-negotiable for me. Not only did they accept him, they loved him, accommodated him, and made sure he had everything he needed. They even went above and beyond and drove me more than an hour away to tour safe housing options for after treatment. That level of compassion and effort is rare. The programming here is incredible — thoughtful, structured, intentional, and truly life-changing. The therapists, counselors, case managers, medical team, and staff are some of the most genuine humans I’ve ever met. The food is amazing, the amenities are comfortable, and the environment feels like a community, not a facility. I came here lost and overwhelmed. I’m leaving grounded, clear, hopeful, and excited for the future. I will forever be grateful for what this place has done for me, and I mean that with my whole heart. If you are looking for a place to heal — a place that treats you like a human being, not a number — this is where you need to be. Silicon Valley Recovery Center saved my life, and I would recommend it to anyone. If they ever need someone to share a testimonial, speak to potential clients, or represent the program publicly, I’m their guy — that’s how deeply I believe in this place. My dream is to come back one day and work here so I can give back even a fraction of what they gave me. Thank you, SVRC — for everything. I am forever grateful.

This location was a breath of fresh air compared to other hospitals I've been to. I had to have a biopsy in the outpatient facility. I had four nurses taking care of me at different times through the process and every one had a great personality and made me feel comfortable. I dont remember all of their names but Dr Singh and Roxy were a few that provided exceptional service. Im never going to Good Samaritan again, there's just comparing the two

Mariposa Lodge is an exceptional alcohol and drug treatment facility staffed by compassionate, highly skilled professionals. Nestled in the foothills, the setting itself is serene and restorative—an environment that truly supports healing. I was a client there in 2022, and today I remain sober, approaching four years in recovery this August. My time at Mariposa profoundly changed the trajectory of my life. Through the guidance of Paula, Amelia, Sharon, and April, I came to understand that recovery is not a singular event but an ongoing commitment—one that requires intention, humility, and consistent effort. Their wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering support equipped me with the tools necessary to build and sustain a life in sobriety. I am deeply grateful not only for the care I received, but also for the accessibility of that care—my health insurance covered my entire stay, removing what could have been a significant barrier to treatment. The lessons I learned at Mariposa remain with me every day. I carry them forward with immense appreciation and a steadfast commitment to continued growth in recovery.

It's been over 20ys since I participated in this program through the nudge of a judge. My last name was different. My life had spiraled into turmoil and utter caios. I hit rock bottom so hard I was spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically broken. Honestly I wished I would die than live another day. At first I didn't want to be there. I did participate in the program several times. I still remember my house managers name, Sharron. I definitely didn't leave as a night in shinning armor. The reality is I dabbled once or twice a yr. More importantly whenever I did I felt guilty, dirty, remorseful, and imberrased. Life hasn't been a beautiful boutique of roses but I am definitely proud of who I am, the challenges I've over come, and the abilities that were given to me through Support Systems Homes. Thank you for caring. Thank you for not judging. Thank you for teaching me structure in such a subtle way. I am alive, happy, and a functional part of society because of this program.

I've been volunteering at the San Jose Women's Center for the last seven years. I'm humbled by the work God is doing within this incredible organization. I'm usually there twice a month and able to meet their students and work with the staff. In doing so, I've been able to get to know many of them. They've shared heart breaking stories of the bad habits which have nearly destroyed their lives. However, if they can survive the first few months (the hardest part of the program!) their spiritual souls are revived and they begin to live in hope with a new perspective that transforms their minds to overcome the addictions which have chained them. It's hard to explain, but each time I visit and get an update from them, I can see the power of God at work. It's what keeps bringing me back to serve so I can witness the miracles and encourage these ladies not to give up. If they can hang in there, Teen Challenge will teach them not only what they need to survive, but to thrive in a life after addiction. Every year I return to their annual Galas and am reunited with former students who update me on their successes and how grateful they are for staying the course and trusting God through the process. Our Lord has rewarded them, and often times they tell me that they thought they knew who God was when they entered, but during the course of the program they truly find Him and their life hasn't been the same since! I have no idea how the staff has the capacity to love, extend grace, share their wisdom, and encourage so many women with all that happens at this center; but it's inspiring to know that they can do it with the help of God. When I come across difficult situations in my own life, I just remember the tough love and grace of God from the Teen Challenge staff members and I try emulate the same with the people I encounter. Life in the Center isn't easy, but the year commitment to the program is worth it. I've witnessed it on a regular basis and I thank God this program exists to help those overcoming addictions, and for those of us who want to volunteer and make the world a better place. It takes faith and discipline to succeed, but Teen Challenge has the love and patience to see you through. I highly recommend this organization over many of the other rehab places who have a far less success rate.

I had a serious mental health crisis a couple of years ago and needed help putting the pieces back together. I found it in Embodied Recovery, as well as understanding, support and a safe, therapeutic environment where I could to begin to sift through the emotional fallout. The holistic approach and unique blend of programming that Mike and Greg have so lovingly curated was instrumental in setting me down on a path to recovery. Happily, I still engage with them and my cohorts (now friends) that I met during my time there.
