RICH another great counselor } so you know we both can’t have the same counselors so of course I got kicked to the curb. So much so I got my BFF to get treatment there and she also lives it and is so glad she took the initiative to go there and like me has found relief from the bandage of addiction. I've had a few counselors and love them all. It is like a big family there from the counselors to the dispensing nurses and all the patients. All the patients know each other and support each other. You feel very safe & supported in their relaxed, chill & friendly environment. I would recommend it to anyone experiencing the bondage of addiction. Bcz now instead of the stress of finding opiates and fear of not having them and facing withdrawal now i just take my dose in the morning and don't even think about opiates the rest of the day. Opiate addiction can be an all consuming full time job in which your entire life revolves around getting enough opiates fearing running out and the absolute misery of withdrawal. when you can't get them. But going to BAART has gotten me off that hammster wheel so I can enjoy my life without having to even think about opiates anymore. If you in bondage to opiate addiction do yourself a favor and FREE yourself by going to BAART and start truly livingb& enjoying your life. However, I’ve seen it help several people that actually wanted the help and used the program properly.There is several key words in this comment that are necessary and down right vital in order for the clinic to work the way it was intended. They had a daily schedule of different things to do. During your stay you can have visitors and after the 72 hr hold give you passes to leave the campus for an hour or so. I was in Villa Fairmont several years ago and while it may have had some problems (more like a 3.5 or 4 star) it was a place that helped me stabilize in a safe location until I was accepted in a Dual Diagnosis Recovery Home (Bonita House). I currently work in the recovery field and live an independent life. To me that is worth all of the struggles that I have had with any of the programs I have been in. Gotta go through hell before you get to heaven. That's just the way it is when you have a diagnosis that isn't socially acceptable... The doctor told us he was going to die if he didn’t get treatment immediately. I called all across the country and talked with staff who walked me through the treatment process better than anyone else and offered a reasonable price. I flew my sibling across the country the following day. He is now a completely different person and recovering. They literally saved his life. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They do things the right way. Kind, caring, but firm. Fair price. They know what they are doing. As a seasoned trial attorney, I can tell the fakers from the real deal. These guys are the real deal. To start the facilitator was so engaging and knowledgeable, every session I felt as though I gained a piece of myself back. You are engaged with others that you end up building trust with, so you can truly be honest with yourself and really become vulnerable. Each session is orchestrated so well it does not compare to others I have done in the past. I was worried about how I would continue my growth after treatment but was put at ease immediately following my first appointment. But the person they paired me up with has been an essential bedrock of support through all that I have been going through for the past two years. The only issue I have had is length between appointments, and if I have to reschedule I end up having to wait at minimum another 3-4 weeks. I am thankful I can wait that long, but I know that it could be a problem for those who might benefit from more frequent help. I'm humbled by the work God is doing within this incredible organization. I'm usually there twice a month and able to meet their students and work with the staff. In doing so, I've been able to get to know many of them. They've shared heart breaking stories of the bad habits which have nearly destroyed their lives. However, if they can survive the first few months (the hardest part of the program!) their spiritual souls are revived and they begin to live in hope with a new perspective that transforms their minds to overcome the addictions which have chained them. It's hard to explain, but each time I visit and get an update from them, I can see the power of God at work. It's what keeps bringing me back to serve so I can witness the miracles and encourage these ladies not to give up. If they can hang in there, Teen Challenge will teach them not only what they need to survive, but to thrive in a life after addiction. Every year I return to their annual Galas and am reunited with former students who update me on their successes and how grateful they are for staying the course and trusting God through the process. Our Lord has rewarded them, and often times they tell me that they thought they knew who God was when they entered, but during the course of the program they truly find Him and their life hasn't been the same since! I have no idea how the staff has the capacity to love, extend grace, share their wisdom, and encourage so many women with all that happens at this center; but it's inspiring to know that they can do it with the help of God. When I come across difficult situations in my own life, I just remember the tough love and grace of God from the Teen Challenge staff members and I try emulate the same with the people I encounter. Life in the Center isn't easy, but the year commitment to the program is worth it. I've witnessed it on a regular basis and I thank God this program exists to help those overcoming addictions, and for those of us who want to volunteer and make the world a better place. It takes faith and discipline to succeed, but Teen Challenge has the love and patience to see you through. I highly recommend this organization over many of the other rehab places who have a far less success rate. I was very confused and angry when I got there. I felt like I was being punished, for not doing enough to stay safe, for not being able to handle my shame and trauma, for telling the truth to my therapist and for her making me go to a residentiali. The first place because of that. I felt like all my privileges were being taken away, unfairly. I convinced my mom to take me out of there, but the truth is, I really did need the help there. I went to more residentials after that and I noticed that this one had the best resources for me. I lost the opportunity to get better once I left. The staff were wonderful and understanding even when I was being, in my own words, honestly annoying. I hope they remember me, I hope they see this and know that they're doing amazing work, I hope you know I'm sorry. I am a lot better now, after 2 years of going in and out of therapy, in patient and out, and life or death situations. Things could've been different if I stayed.
