i dont know if this will be seen by anyone working there (hopefully osiris is). my names evan fredette and i went to the newport academy Pleasanton location 4+ years back and had my contact info changed. im just posting this so hopefully whoever runs this can forward this to osiris or whoever is running the house now, because i would love to come see the house an everyone again :) very positive experience, very good energy and very good people.

I came hear a few years ago and I owe a personal apology to the staff and manager here. I forgot his name now but I hope he still works here. I was very confused and angry when I got there. I felt like I was being punished, for not doing enough to stay safe, for not being able to handle my shame and trauma, for telling the truth to my therapist and for her making me go to a residentiali. The first place because of that. I felt like all my privileges were being taken away, unfairly. I convinced my mom to take me out of there, but the truth is, I really did need the help there. I went to more residentials after that and I noticed that this one had the best resources for me. I lost the opportunity to get better once I left. The staff were wonderful and understanding even when I was being, in my own words, honestly annoying. I hope they remember me, I hope they see this and know that they're doing amazing work, I hope you know I'm sorry. I am a lot better now, after 2 years of going in and out of therapy, in patient and out, and life or death situations. Things could've been different if I stayed. Still im grateful for coming here in the first place. Thank you.

Outstanding staff and program!

I was here a long time ago, 2007 or thereabouts. The names I still remember are Dr Altman, Brandy, and Michelle. I'm 33 years old now and I am thankful my parents brought me here. The memories of this place prompted me to look it up.

Center for discovery really helped me with my ED. The other patients were some of the most amazing group of people I have ever met. This place helped me realize my worth and that I am more than my ED. Rooth is a queen, so is Daisy and Jo. The staff here are so supportive and kind. This was a great expirience.

I attended CFD in 2011 as an adolescent. I’m lucky I had the privilege to rehabilitate here. Of course while I was 16 and 17 years old I hated everything. My freedom was taken away and everything was very regimented. But in hindsight I see the purpose for it all. CFD was the only thing that worked for me long term in healing my eating disorder. This program is excellent and I highly recommend to parents with children struggling with an eating disorder that has taken over their life. I was lucky I had great staff members who really cared about my healing. Dr. A was my main doctor and she is a gifted provider. I’ll never forget her.

It's the best! A nonprofit agency where miracles happen! The staff is excellent and the manager Kelly is the sweetest person! Very welcoming environment and non judgemental!

Many groups, online computers to use, you can have therapy and Psych. Services at center. Lunches are served free. For example 10/15/18 Baked ham, Scalloped potates, Dinner rolls, salad and for desert chocolate or banana cream pie with toll house chocoate chip bars. Guest speakers inc. Housing experts, how much you can earn and keep your benifits, and more. Crafts, we are about to start making sugar scrub as gifts at Xmas. The staff is very supportive!!!!

I like this place fast and very convenient to where I live. Nice people they take good care my 3 children. I'm glad I found this place Dentist's are nice ,friendly they know how to handle kids ,staff friendly and they also make sure my kids are feel comfortable! Lovely people...

This place is amazing. I went for behavioral health and every part of the experience, from the front desk offering coffee, to the intake coordinator, to the therapist that helped me during one of the lowest times of my life, was beyond anything I would have ever expected from a non-profit for low income folks. I am so grateful for the care I received here.

My loved one is currently at MPI. In the time she's been there, she's been to serveral 12 step meetings, has received one on one counseling and tons of education regarding this disease. Additionally, there is a family plan so that we can be the best support for her when she goes home. MPI is an excellent place. She will be there for at least another week or two and is very happy she went and we have very high expectations for her as a result of the treatment.

First time in treatment, I did not apply myself to the MPI treatment program.. hence, I started drinking again after losing my wife to cancer... Second time in treatment, I attended their great grief classes and stuck with the program... I HAVE BEEN CLEAN FOR 578 days...

I have been going to this location for over 4 years and not only find my counselor invaluable, but have always found all my interactions with any of the staff to be extremely pleasant.

I loved coming here, peter worked with me and truely made a impact on my life. I am now over a year clean of meth. :) Thanks to the support I got I feel like a new person. Or have finnally become the person I was born to be. Key thing in recovery is if you really want it you'll do what's asked , you'll participate and you'll always remember "just because you graduate doesn't mean your FULLY recovered. So, I just left Palm treatment/detox center and wanted to leave a review while it’s fresh in my mind. To begin, when I was first getting checked in, a girl was on her way out literally crying with gratitude for how much this place saved her life. You could tell how genuine and appreciative she was. Super heart warming, so that was a good start. Pros to going to Palm Ave: -The staff is great, they genuinely care and all are in recovery themselves so they’re very empathetic. -It’s small, so if you’re someone who is anxious or nervous, don’t be. If I had to guess I’d say they can only hold up to about 15-20 at most and that’s a huge positive when you’re not at your best at don’t want to be around a hundred other people. -Food was very clean, healthy, and always available. -Meds are all taken care of for you, they’ll even pick up your prescriptions and make sure you get them on time, even if you’re asleep, they’re on top of it. -There’s really only one mandatory meeting (NA/AA) but several groups which are optional that I found really helpful and well led. -They don’t press you on where or when you need to be somewhere like other treatment centers do. If you need to sleep- you can sleep. Special shout out to Christian (who helped with meds, he always has good music playing and just a very positive vibe). Also, Tree. I spent ten minutes talking to this man and gained more perspective than I have in probably the last three years. Heather also, very chill and easy to talk to. These people really care. They’ve completely turned their lives around and some have come from really difficult pasts. It’s inspiring to hear their stories. Not to turn this into a novel but I’m just really stoked places like this exist- and free no less with medi-cal. To finish, if you’re struggling at all, just go for a few days. I only stayed a few days bc I had previously detoxed in a hospital but some stay much longer- the choice is yours. Thank you to everyone at Palm Ave. I won’t forget it.

Place is amazing!..Staff is amazing and they take the time to make sure that your doing okay. Not just a cursory.." Good Morning" or " Good Night" They actually take an interest in why your there and what they can do to make your stay as successful as possible. Classes are set up and offered throughout the day to ensure that you have some tools when you leave. There is medical on sight and a caseworker who jumps through hoops to make sure that each client has access to all the available resources in the county. They have a business model that is golden and should be mirrored by similiar businesses.

I have had an excellent experience at Palm Detox. They reopened and came recommended by members of the community. I was hesitant at first but I showed up embarrassed and defeated. was treated with respect and staff went out of the way to help me. Female lead staff even brought me clothing, books and hygiene from her home because I was in need of deodorant and the stuffuu they had didn’t work. I didn’t ask, she overheard me and another client talking. She brought him some clothing and a notebook. This place has amazing staff. They tend to follow the rules and it’s annoying sometimes cause I’d like to smoke more and have SUGAR. But I do recommend plus they help u find treatment after.

Counselor Marjory (not sure of spelling sry!) Is the best! Always genuine and understanding and is a shining light for what God has done in her life and what he could do for mine ! I look forward to our sessions every week and hope one day to be half the woman and mother she is today thank you for everything

I’ve been to almost every clinic in the Bay Area as well as the valley BAART is by far the best clinic I’ve been to and has the most success my counselor is always available and most if not all staff are always there to support you in anyway they can . They also have a hilarious comedian that greets you as you enter.

The Kaiser Rehabilitation Center in Oakland is a complete program designed to stop any addiction, such as stress depression, arcohol, marijuana, cocaine, apioids, nalgetics, alusigenes or any substance, with very professional staff.

Best medical facility… competent and kind ‘ that I have been in… an I practiced medicine for more than 30 years in the East, middle and west of the USA … but as for patient care I’ve never seen better!

CDRP is a wonderful program full of counselors that really care about your health. But it won't work if you don't care. They have a nice new facility now, I've gone back to visit and it's really nice, clean, welcoming environment. I have long lasting friends I was able to make through their classes and 5 years sober.
