This place is great, if you want a Rehab where the staff helps and wants the best for you this place is it. I went to waterfront at first don’t go there.. this place the staff and the people become your family, everyone here is for your recovery it’s really nice to be treated like a person and not a pay check like waterfront. Here you can have your cell phone, we’ve gone camping, we go to Walmart, on fridays we go out and bowl or go to the ocean, and the foods great! Seriously love this place! 5 stars isn’t enough for this place. Thank you John and Jessy and all of the staff. Truly am greatful this place is here for those of us who need it

If you are lucky enough to find this place and get a bed here don’t hesitate. Use all of the resources and tools provided to you by this program while you are there. I was welcomed in and treated with the utmost respect and dignity by the very competent and hospitable staff. Excellent food, staff, facilities and living conditions. HRC gave me the opportunity and tools needed to turn my life around. 40 plus years of drug and alcohol abuse was on my resume going in. I am truly grateful for the staff, directors, counselors, and other clients that helped make me a better person. A sober person. Thank you!

Two things are working against the Google Guide tool in this case: Anonymity is impossible and subjectivity is very difficult. DUI and DUI related incidents are truly world shaking and embarrassing. It can be shameful, it can be something you don’t want to think you are capable of. These women that run this program welcome you with open arms and reassure you that your situation does not define you and needing help with alcohol/drug use is not in fact shameful, it’s a decision you make to better yourself that you should be proud of! Tinamarie, Tanisha, and Katie will be your biggest cheerleaders. At first this program was mandatory, and now with their support, I’m aware I’m fully capable of being a better person and being better for it sober! Located in Santa Rosa, California, Azure Acres is a residential alcohol and drug rehab treatment center for adults. They offer detoxification services, residential treatment and aftercare services facilitated by an Azure Acres counselor. Detoxification at Azure Acres is medically managed by clinical staff and typically lasts about three to 10 days.
I went there for 5 nights and 6 days. This was my first time at a rehab and I was really nervous and apprehensive about what it would be like. I will tell you that this place was exactly what I needed. The entire staff was so immensely helpful and welcoming, a lot of the staff are former guests trying to get sober, so they know what it’s like!! Then you have the guests who were amazing. I wake up happy to drive to work at Azure Acres Recovery Center, and I leave each day with a deep sense that I have made a meaningful difference. As a therapist, this environment is both grounding and expansive. The collaboration with psychiatric, medical, case management, and behavioral health teams—including the CEO and especially our Clinical Director—is rooted in trust, grace, and the freedom to create programming that flows from your authentic clinical voice. What makes Azure Acres exceptional is its balance of soul and structure. You are supported to facilitate groups in your area of expertise, with a manageable caseload that honors the depth of individual care. The residential setting allows for something extraordinary—bearing witness to daily transformation within the therapeutic community, far beyond what weekly sessions in private practice can offer. We also hold a broader view. Our work is part of a larger ecosystem that includes corporate insight, insurance partnerships, the Department of Rehabilitation, and a new community-wide commitment to recovery and renewal. This convergence creates momentum for real change—inside and out. There is a strong culture of professional development, with continuing education in Brainspotting, ACT, DBT, and IFS, and mentorship that supports clinical and leadership growth. Azure Acres is not just a treatment center—it is a living community of compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Azure Acres saved me. It mended me and gave me back myself, the true version of me that I had long lost to alcohol. I was beyond being able to help myself, but they were able to help me. Going to Azure Acres was likely the best decision of my life. It repaired me as a person, in turn allowing me to heal my relationships and build a future I couldn't see before. You will learn so much about addiction and yourself. I now have over 3 years and 7 weeks of sobriety without so much as a hiccup. The staff are incredibly caring and passionate about their jobs. If you want help, this is where you need to go. You are worth it, and you can do it.

By far. the best (out of 7 total) rehab facilities I've ever been to. They actually do trauma therapy, and you get sessions with a licensed psychologist twice a week, in addition to your drug counselor. The very best therapists I have EVER worked with. And the best drug counselor I've ever had. I've been looking for therapy like this, and the answers I got at Olympia House, for 20 years. They are the most skilled, caring, and professional team of people I've ever worked with in mental health. I'm dual diagnosis, so I've been seeing professionals for my mental health for 25 years. Some of their curriculum is custom, developed in house by the psychologists there—you won't find tools like these anywhere else. I have a custom designed "addictive system" I use every day to track where I am in my recovery and mental health. I use this not only to prevent relapses, but correct myself if I run off course, and this works not just for substance relapses but also things like depression, anxiety, and anger. Their website doesn't reflect this, but they take Kaiser Permanente insurance now. That's the only reason I was able to come here. I know reviews are inflated on the Internet, but please trust me, I swear with every fiber of my being and every ounce of integrity I have, this is likely the best rehab in California. If you have trauma, and most people do, or some form of PTSD, this is the place you should go. They also focus on finding meaning and purpose in life--and they will definitely help you with that. They also allow you to come back to the rehab twice a year for 2-3 days for free! They call it a "tune up". No one else I know of does this. There's also free group therapy for alumni (a process group led by one of the therapists there) once a week via Zoom. I would wake up many times in OH in disbelief that this place exists at all, and that I got to be a resident here. They've made an enormous difference in the outcome of my life. ******ADDENDUM****** I recently read a review of OH where someone on the autism spectrum had a difficult experience. I'm sorry to hear that, but I simply wanted to say I'm (diagnosed) autistic (ASD 1/Aspergers) myself and felt that OH not only understood the strengths and limitations that can come with that, but also caused me to realize I had overestimated how different I was from my peers because of my autism. I still have it, of course, but the result of being at OH was a clearer picture of its actual impact in my life, particularly with peer relationships. I can't thank them enough for helping me with this, I have a much healthier social life today as a result.

First the facility and the land it's on is beyond beautiful. Couldn't ask for a better place to wake up everyday while recovering. Everyone that works for O.H genuinely cares. They make u feel like you unique and special. They offer soo many different activities and teach you so much about yourself and addiction. They give you the tools and resources for when you leave. They do not turn anyone away UNLESS you require more specialized care being that they are not a hospital with a doctor on site. By far the best rehab in northern California

Olympia House Rehabilitation in Petaluma, California saved my life as well as countless others! The intense inpatient program includes psychologists, counselors, process group meetings, group classes, one on one meetings as well as yoga, guided meditation, animal therapy, garden, therapy, art and music too. Olympia House is situated on quiet, peaceful, and safe, 100+ acre farm/ranch. The doctors, couselors, and staff all work to help identify the root cause of the core distortions that contribute to substance abuse. The focus of the residents mind, body, and spirit are all addressed. Additionally, there is a lifetime of free continuous care for the alumni that includes zoom process groups, AA/NA meetings, visits once a year for two days at the house. The alumni portion of treatment is all free of charge. I cannot say enough good things regarding Olympia House. I highly recommend this program. Thank you, Sherry P.

There is currently a really solid group of people at this clinic....from the counselors, to the nurses, and the management. Everyone is always friendly and that can be difficult at times when your work day starts at 5am. 2 people specifically really stand out and make this experience easier. Katrina (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) who works in the front, and Dan who works security. Katrina is hilarious and treats everyone with respect and doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. Sometimes is hard accepting the fact you have to be at a methadone clinic. But when the staff treats you so well and make you smile, it really helps. Dan is an amazing person as well. He has to deal with so many ridiculous people who act like children and yet he always has a positive attitude. I look forward to seeing him daily. I'm not sure how many of the staff at the clinic read these reviews...if any, but I would like to say thank you to all of them for making this journey a lot easier and on a daily basis I have positive, sometimes hilarious interactions and starting your day in a positive way really helps you throughout your day. I hope to join this staff as a counselor once I complete my recovery. I know I only mentioned 2 names, but thank you again to all of you. I'll throw one more name out there and a big thank you to Carl who is part of the management team. He's an extremely nice person and I feel, genuinely cares about the patients at this clinic. Thanks again guys -Andrew
