My stay at Elevation.
I was in a pretty rough place and needed to get some intensive support. I found Elevation while researching and what drew to me to them vs other places I saw was;
* Private Room. I had to be honest with myself that this was something important to me, to have my own space.
* Daily Individual Therapy. In addition to group having daily individual therapy to help work through things and make the most of the time there.
* Electronic Devices Allowed. I have two young kids and I wanted to be able to stay in contact with family as well as use my laptop to research and view content related to what I was working through.
After filling out the form on the website Stephanie the admissions director reached out right away. Before she walked me through more details about the program she checked in to make sure I was ok, I felt supported already. She helped answer all my questions as well as get the information she needed to verify insurance coverage and what I would have to pay out of pocket. She got back to me quickly again and we figured out an admission date.
When I arrived in Los Angeles I was picked up at the airport and driven to their Calabasas house.
I won’t go into too many details about the house, it’s pretty fantastic and there are picture on the website.
I was greeted upon arrival, checked in, given a tour, and sometime to settle in my room.
Everyone in the house from the cleaner, chef, coaches, therapists, and psychiatrist are supportive and genuinely interested in making you comfortable and ready for doing the personal work you need.
There is a wonderful variety of therapies from individual, group, equine, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, nature walks, pool/jacuzzi, art, and music which all come at your problems from different angles and build on each other. The coaches are always available and engaged between sessions to keep the momentum going and support you.
Having daily individual therapy plus two groups daily helped me dive deep into the underlying issues I was facing and my progress built on itself everyday. I felt like I was making a months progress every week. My therapist Chad was just what I needed, he was thoughtful, creative and pushed when needed to help me go further.
I arrived in a very low state (not my usual self) and was able to quickly let go and unravel, the staff and my fellow patients helped put me back together and create sustainable coping techniques and strategies so I could return home a new person.
Having house-mates was a wonderful experience, even though we all came from very different walks of life and reasons for coming, we found deep common ground and support with each other. We laughed, and cried, and laughed again together.
The center of a house is the kitchen, and at Elevation this was no exception. Chef Jerry and Josh not only made amazing and healthy food, they were open to having us join the process and learn how to cook. We spent most of our afternoons between sessions joining in on the cooking process. Chef Jerry was like another therapist who gave us amazing life advice and was always open to listen to use when we needed a little support. Everyone at elevation from the cleaner to the coaches and the patients all eat the same food together. It felt like a big family.
I felt that when I needed alone time and privacy or wanted to do something social I could move between those modalities anytime. I never felt pressure to join in anything, just welcomed.
I left elevation feeling like a new person, equipped with new skills and strategies to thrive at home and at work. I highly recommend Elevation.

⭐ Hands Down the Best Mental Health Program Available.
I can’t say enough good things about Elevations Behavioral Health. It’s hands down the best mental health care I’ve ever received. The setting is incredible — beautiful houses, exercise equipment, pools, jacuzzis, and so many community resources. They will take you on outings to the Pacific Ocean to watch sunsets — and yes, you *will* see dolphins!
From the residential program to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), every detail is thought about and the staff are always there to help.
The Santa Monica Mountains surround you, and the views are so breathtaking you can sit for hours just taking it all in, meditating, and really feel yourself start to heal.
The food is amazing too — they have private chefs who customize meals to fit your diet and treatment needs, with tons of healthy options.
Unlike most residential treatment programs, you get both individual and group therapy *every day*. That’s really unheard of in a residential program — usually you would receive one or two individual sessions a week
The staff and therapists are absolutely amazing — they genuinely care and don’t let you give up on yourself. I cant name them all because I would forget someone. Too many to count; dedicated and MOre than experts at what they do!
If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. Getting help is the best thing you can do for yourself. Elevations changed my life, and it can change yours too. You *are* worth it, and you *can* do hard things. Take the first step — it’s so worth it.

Elevations residential mental health treatment is exceptional. Look no further if you want to receive the best residential mental health care available in the most beautiful setting. You receive daily groups and individual therapy, which is rare in residential mental health treatment in my experience. I recently received residential at Elevations in Calabasas, CA. (Nov. 2024) I felt safe and cared for. Dr. Chaudhri cares deeply about the programs and getting things right. The dedicated technicians make sure that you are always safe and your needs are met. The therapists are dedicated and exceptional in their treatment of complex mental health diagnoses (BiPolar, depression, PTSD, OCD, anxiety.) The psychiatrist is one of the best I've ever had. The services I received and I encourage people to get are: EMDR, Nuerofeedback, massage, life coaching, nutrition consultation, meditation, acupuncture, and yoga. Make them part of your treatment if you can. The journey is hard work but being in such a beautiful place with highly qualified and compassionate people makes it easier. Always advocate for yourself and you will get what you need. I know no matter what I may need in the future Elevations Behavioral Health will be there. Thank you Elevations for changing and supporting my life. I am forever grateful. (Insurance and private pay only.) NOTE: the environment can get quite loud and bright so if you have PTSD or other sensory issues make sure to address it early with the organization or you may suffer from the sensory overload. Bring noise cancelling headphones and sunglasses to wear inside if this is a problem for you.

I don't have enough good to say about this team. They really helped my kids when we hit a rough spot. One even started with a strained relationship with food. After some time and help from the Hillcrest team things have really improved for our family.

I had no bad experiences whatsoever the entire three months I was here, my therapist was AMAZING the counselors were great, the chefs as awesome as his food, Anastasia did everything in her power to accommodate any requests. Amazing place 10/10 would recommend. I hope I never need to go back to treatment but if I do I’m calling Anastasia forsure.

Inspire was a life-saving experience for me. The staff is incredible, genuinely caring, and Dr. Lugo, my therapist, is a true miracle worker who saw through me and helped me confront my issues. Anastasia , though initially intimidating, is actually the kindest person, and Suzanne ensured I had proper aftercare. The fact that it's a family-owned facility is amazing, as the entire family goes above and beyond to support you during your darkest times. I'm immensely thankful for the 90 days I spent at Inspire..

Such a great place for recovery . As someone who had worked in the field for many years, and having experience of working at Inspire. The academic coordinator, Maya is very passionate about her work and goes above and beyond to aid her students in not only reaching their academic goals but exceeding them in a kind, respectful manner. She consistently helps students in an empathetic manner, but does not complete assignments for them. She is very open and understands troubles students may be facing and helps them cope while not letting them fall behind on their studies. For me, she spent hours through IT to help me in completing college orientation prerequisites and kept in contact with my family to make things clear and easily understandable. She also helps her students complete resumes, TODO lists, and understand requirements for important events in life such as acquiring a drivers permit. RTC is not the best option for SUDs but it can act as a detox center. Without Maya, I may have fallen behind on my academic ventures and not have gotten much out of this RTC. Most staff are very understanding and helpful, but can only help so much when it comes to SUDs.

This facility has played an integral role in my son’s recovery. The staff went above and beyond throughout his care. My son’s therapist, Leah, was the most integral part of his treatment. She was able to see what previous therapists have missed.
The facility itself is beautiful and offers great therapies. I highly recommend this location if you are on the fence about trusting a facility with your child.

My child ended up getting involuntarily discharged and I'm still giving Evolve a 5 star rating because they were fantastic throughout the 30 day stay.
Admissions helped us through the entire process over a weekend when my child was kicked out elsewhere.
Facility was great.
Staff from Management to therapists were all kind and very caring. Where Paradigm (Malibu) felt much more corporate, Evolve treated my daughter with so much compassioin, even through the discharge process. The therapist were even crying at discharge, and more telling, my child really wanted to go back after the episode passed.
Medical staff tried much harder than elsewhere to find the secret sauce to help my kiddo.
Good news, we did eventually find a med (at home) that helped a TON and we're mostly under control now. I'm sure Evolve made a big difference in this process.
If you are a parent with a troubled teen, hang in there! Feels impossible some days, but I highly recommend the Evolve team.

This place was recommended to me by an old girlfriend. As cliche as it sounds, it’s true, this place saved my life, and in more ways than one. I did so well here that soon afterward, they helped find me employment. Today I help other alcoholics & addicts like myself. I’ve never been employable in my life. But my life has taken a new direction, and I am starting to love myself again. It also helped me with my legal issues, which come with the promises of the 12 steps of AA. This place isn’t a luxury facility that pampers their clients. This place focuses on the more important things like life skills, taking an honest look at yourself and your role in things, and to look at the similarities, not the differences. The treatment team cares about their clients above anything else. If you are struggling, there is help available. I couldn’t recommend this place more. -BL

As a professional in the addiction treatment space I have worked hand in hand with programs literally all over the world. Oak Forest Recovery is my most trusted resource. I have witnessed hundreds of individuals and their loved ones find freedom through this program. RJ is the only owner and founder I know that is as invested into the outcomes of treatment as he is. The clinical team is next level. Truly they don’t miss a beat, they are highly skilled and I would trust them with my own child any day. With that said let me tell you what is truly special about Oak Forest… it’s the structure, culture and COMMUNITY.. that’s what holds this all together.. a bunch of excited for sobriety/life young people who are holding each other accountable and to a higher standard while having fun. If you or your loved one has failed in other treatment settings, if they have failed to launch after being given every opportunity possible, if they literally won’t stop using no matter what you’ve done to help them, if they need life skills.. this is the place to be. I can’t stress that enough..

I’ve been to luxury treatment centers but Oak Forest is the only place that’s worked for me. It’s a no-nonsense step-based recovery that gave me the tools I needed to sit in my discomfort. The camaraderie you achieve with fellow alcoholics won’t be found elsewhere. The staff is all licensed and the best in the business (most if not all are actually in recovery themselves).. Don’t do drugs, but if you do and you want to be one-and-done with treatment, Oak Forest is your best bet.
I help young teens get into treatment, BNI and Joey Chait have done a phenomenal job with teens I have worked with. I am always very impressed by them and how thorough they are.

my daughter came to BNI when she was 17 but before arriving, she had struggled so hard. I can’t even put into words just how much my daughter was struggling with losing her dad, drugs and alcohol. her mental health was completely awful to the point she was self harming and attempting suicide. we had been to the mental health hospital in town MANY MANY times and tried another different residential treatment center for years before evening knowing about BNI. a different treatment center in Northern california that my daughter was at suggested that addison’s needed intensive treatment and care, a higher quality of care and brought BNI to my attention. i wish we would have known about BNI years ago because it truly changed our lives. if you would have told me a year ago that my daughter would be amazing now, i’d laugh in your face (and then cry praying to god for it to come true) addison’s spent 7 months at BNI. we would facetime everyday and had family counseling every friday with a great therapist named Steve. not only did steve treat my daughter as a person and not just a patient or client, the nurses and staff did as well. almost to a point where they seemed like family. not only was BNI a sit down and let’s talk about feelings and but they offered horse therapy, pet therapy, surf therapy and painting class. they also listened to what medication was working and not working and they got her meds right. took time but Dr.A and they staff nailed it. we will forever be grateful for BNI and the staff who became family. o adore them for taking such great care of my daughter and giving her her smile back xoxo

Our autistic son with ADHD has struggled with impulsivity and anger for years. His stay at BNI has positively impacted him and our family. Most of the staff were very supportive and encouraging. There was an incident where a couple RCCs handled the situation poorly but they were spoken to and it didn’t happen again.
During our son’s 2 month stay, the BNI teacher postponed enrolling him into school. By the time they finally figured out the schooling, he was discharged. Now, he is behind in credits. I was assured this would not happen to anyone again.

Monte Nido Vista saved my life. And I don’t say that lightly. I had been in and out of treatment for years when I stumbled upon Vista. I had all my walls up and had confidently decided that my eating disorder would get to dictate the rest of my life. I was hopeless and numb to care. But Vista and the staff there changed me. I am alive today because of the people who work here. Specifically the Clinical Director, she expressed genuine care, patience, and an unmatched level of dedication to my care. She gave me hope again. She made my life worth living again. She is who I want to be when I become a therapist too. She runs a tight ship and therefore the rest of the staff are lovely as well. My team and I at Canyon Creek Family Counseling have been sending folks to Awakenings Mental Health Treatment Center for years. We have also had the great privilege of supporting their client's after care transition back into their day to day lives. In both instances, we have gained direct insight into how Awakenings operates.
We have seen tremendous progress for individuals struggling with chronic and acute mental health conditions as well as a range of chronic health conditions. Most families are also impacted by addiction in some way and Awakenings does not fail to nurture those needs as well from every angle, be it a loved one of an addict or someone directly suffering with addiction.
They also give special care to impact of grief and loss. Their grief curriculum has been so helpful for clients who have suffered a loss or experienced a major transition.
Lastly, their emphasis on neurofeedback has been a game changer for clients. We appreciate the holistic approach which includes frequent neurofeedback sessions as well as incorporating movement and nutrition into the treatment. Clients have been welcomed with care and individualized treatment and their staff have always fought to make the treatment inclusive and accessible.

Dr. Dias is the best doctor I could recommend. I went to rehab 3/2020 and I started to see him as an outpatient. I’ve been sober for a year and he has given me the best treatment for my recovery. If you want to be free from any addiction you have, this is where you need to go. The nurses there are attentive and also care about my treatment plan as well. I cannot say enough.

I have been blessed in finding Dr. Dias, Vicky and staff. They have filled a void I was worried in losing my last dr to retirement. The clinic is well staffed and always make sure you are taken care of. I could not be happier in finding this place. I can’t say enough good things about Rise. They helped me when I was at my worst and it’s an extremely friendly and easy environment To rehabilitate. The people there are amazing, especially Ron And Allison, but I wouldn’t even limit to it to them. Everybody there is amazing. The rooms are comfortable and big. The food provided by professional chefs is amazing. Most of all the therapy were provided, saved my life!!

Client on a level I have never in my life experienced. I have been to many facilities in search of healing from a 30 year drug, alcohol and toxic life style.. I am almost 43 years old. I am a strong willed human being and I had quit quitting because evidence in my life proved that I would never be able to break free from addiction. While in the care of All In Solutions, staff demonstrated to me love, boundaries and interest in my well being. I have been a hand full with very challenging emotional brokenness and it has been very difficult to walk thru the healing process.. never once did staff treat me as if I was a burden or beyond help. They had patience and experience and love and over and over and over repeatedly demonstrated dedication to my recovery every step of the way. My counselor was Jason. I take my health/recovery very seriously and I am a very picky person. There’s not enough characters here to describe the Gratitude and Thx I have for this organization.
Top notch Case Management, Super Super Supportive Medical Staff. And Hi IQ class facilitators who bring the best to the table with each class. Revive was a great experience. The first week was rough for myself but after finding a balance within myself and being able to attend groups I was able to acquire the tools I needed to maintain my sobriety.

If you are nervous, hesitant, conflicted about getting help or helping a loved one get help, there isn’t a more warm-welcoming & safe place to be. All catagories you can possibly think of that would make a treatment center perfect, is exactly what Enlight Treatment Center is. I came immediately after being at another treatment center & I was terrified. When I made calls to get in somewhere, the person who answered was more concerned with my well-being than my wallet. My first day there, I was crying & I remember sitting with a counselor, Kristin, who I asked if everyone who worked there really cared & she along with every single staff member there proved just how much they cared. In fact, they really all went above and beyond to help every individuals needs in recovery. When I was near the end of my stay I was certain I was going back home right away. They helped me feel safe to try out sober living and it completely changed my life. Remember, employees are replaceable, if you’re worried about “needing to get back to work,” things will work itself out, trust the process & the staff. They have the purest hearts. I’m forever grateful for every single one of them.

I’ve have referred many people to Enlight for detox and residential as well as for mental health treatment, and let me tell you, lives are being changed lives are being saved. I’ve been working as a recovery coach for almost 15 years, worked with many different treatment centers, none of them are like Enlight. I’ve had client sent to Enlight from all walks of life; rich poor employed unemployed, people who worked to unions and blue collar men to lawyers and nurses… this is the only place I trust to be able to take care of my folks in addiction. I trust them for many reasons but mainly because they have 3 doctors on site who will see you in person as opposed to other centers who have one doctor who will see you on zoom (if ever). The team at Enlight is as experienced as it gets, most of the staff themselves have been through addiction and really treat this job as a passion. I have sent over 100 people to Enlight for detox from alcohol, Xanax, ketamine, Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Marijuana, Whippets, Adderall, Methamphetamine… you name it. Many of these people were dual diagnosis, meaning they had both mental health issues and addiction. Most of my clients that I’ve sent to Enlight are sober now! Enlight really knows how to Safely medically, detox, and set up the foundation for future success in sobriety. Love you guys. Shout out to Chef Carlo, homie is a wizard when it comes to making food. I have been to a multitude of treatment centers in and outside of California, Avedis Recovery is by FAR the most caring, authentic, and helpful place I have ever been to. It is the ONLY place that I was able to stay sober during my entire time and where I was able to find the confidence in myself to stay sober and where I found real growth. They care. Every other treatment center it was very clear that the management and program directors were really only involved for the money. The program director at Avedis is not, he and all other staff GENUINELY CARE!! Usually at other places you never see the director but here you see him almost everyday, he is involved and genuinely cares about people here and their sobriety. With the help of Avedis Recovery I was able to gain a newfound confidence in myself, my family’s trust, my faith in God, and most of all a clear and sober mind. If it wasn’t for Avedis I don’t know where I would be, but now I am almost 8 months sober and am actually happy and enjoying life. I give all the thanks to God and Avedis!

I had the privilege of coming here for detox and couldn't be more appreciative of the staff and accommodations here. I stayed for 2 weeks and was constantly catered to by all of the staff. Truly a 5 star experience while going through the worst time of my life. The people here truly treat you like their own family. I don't know how they manage to deal with several emotional people all day every day and still manage to give everybody specialized individual attention but they do. I came in there like a wrecking ball and they still took great care of me. Even the chefs cater to everybody's personal needs. I'll be 200 days sober in 2 days and probably wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this place. A very delayed review, but anybody questioning if they should stay here or not should have no question about it and choose Maple Moon for their recovery.
I didn't know what to expect when I showed up at Restore. I was scared and hating life. I ended up having a great adventure. Did everything run smoothly, no. But you show me a place that does and I will still call you a liar. I met empathetic, warm hearted and determined people who wanted to help me and see me get better. I have been through TX before so I had expectations, but after looking back at my time there, it was exactly what I needed. MCR SAVED ME FROM DRUGS, MYSELF & DRINKING! I want to talk about my experience, everyone was very kind and we had a great group that I was with at the time which really helped me to recover. The first two weeks I had still been off the wagon, but as soon as I confessed to the group I immediately began to heal. Carlee was an excellent therapist for me and I remember having lots of friends supporting each other while I was getting my recovery. We would practice breathing exercises, watch movies that would help out with our recovery, and talk about anything or anyone who has been bothering us recently or from anytime in our lives. They even had a special brain training activity on the computer that you do to help focus on recovery. All the teachers were so nice and had fun assignments to do to help keep our minds off drugs and alcohol. They even have doctors who help provide medication to help keep drugs and alcohol away. I am much more responsible and take medication now to help maintain my sobriety. Thank you MCR!
