I am forever thankful for this recovery center. Very oriented and patient centered per each client and their needs for recovery. Therapists are all highly educated, motivational, as well passionate, and super supportive for your success to recover. I have learned so much about myself, and have grown and healed in many of ways that I'm forever thankful I made the choice to get the help I needed and then decided to come here for the IOP program. The owner/director is one of the best individuals I have ever known, brother and father who also are all involved with the center. You're not a number and it's not over crowded, you're truly treated like you're valued and you realize the bond you make with the staff and clients; you become a family. The sober living homes are very nice for either men or women, my house manager was one of the greatest people I am forever thankful for, with being supportive, truly humble and caring person who understands you just like all of the staff to the family and CEO they understand you , and do care. I had women group and with our therapist who ran them, I cannot begin to thank her enough for helping me grow, as well my own personal therapist he helped me in so many ways. Give them a chance put in the work and see what amazing things can come through for you, because with the right people behind you(Invicta) , and your drive to better yourself and heal, so that you can get well, you won't be disappointed. As long as you're willing and put in the footwork everyone here stands with you and wants everything best for you to move forward and get your life back , to blossom into who you're meant to be . I was broken when I came and today when I leave through trusting the process and these amazing people who I love dearly I am shining bright like a diamond, have blossomed again, and I know I can and will continue to be ok. I feel I've regained my life again to where it was pretty much gone. Many Thank yous to everyone at Invicta, my forever chosen family. You all just don't know how much of a blessing you really are, and I forever love each and every one of you. I cannot express this enough. 🫶🏼💜🙏🏼🫶🏼

I see a lot of bad reviews from people with outside perspectives I was actually there this place almost saved my life the staff were excellent we could literally eat all day if we wanted to the food was in our huts we could just open up the refrigerator and warm something up or eat something or cook something it was a great program but I was hardheaded and I didn’t listen so I got kicked out but had I listened I would be in a great position right now
And they’re great on de-escalation for sure whenever I will get too mad about something the campus was pretty big I had plenty of space to walk around but not only that they would take me to the movie theaters the 99 Cents store mini golfing ridein mountain bikes in the mountains

My stay at Gratitude Lodge was beyond my expectations. This was my first exposure to treatment so I was nervous; nonetheless, I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion. ❤️
From the start, the house was definitely a second home for me having traveled from the Midwest. I was warmly received on the first night and settled in comfortably.
So many staff members impacted my experience...from the start, Ryan, meeting my at the airport and providing sound advice for tlnext steps in my recovery, Peter for his fantastic music therapy sessions, James for his sincere commitment to my casework, Mario always for his listening skills, Trinity, Justin, Andrew...and everyone beyond.

Best experience of my sober life. I want to personally thank, Trinity, Justin, Mario, Ryan, Eli, Megan, Andrew, Lee, Kyle, James and Peter for everything and that they do. The best staff at any program I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a bit over my fair share). They actually care, they love you and they truly want to see you succeed. A special shout out to James, for always and I mean ALWAYS being in my corner. A shoutout to Trinity for being my confidant when I felt alone in the beginning. To Peter, who listened to all my bullshit with a smile on his face and some music in the background. The best place to get sober and the best people to ever be around. Truly a sober environment, where you learn how to be sober. Not just get sober but BE sober. I’ll forever remember my time here with love, respect and of course plenty of GRATITUDE!!!!!!!

This is by far the best place that you can come to when you need help with addiction and or mental health issues. The owner Miss Lucy cares about each and every person that comes through the door and it shows in every thing that she does. Her daughter Miss Ellen is also an amazing woman, just like her Mother. Dr. Gary is a wizard, he is so good at what he does. The staff is also great, The Chef (Best Chef in the world), Rosy, Mary Ann, Gabby, Jeremy, Jerome. Sonny, Christian and even the driver that picked me up from the airport. I do not have the words to explain how this place has changed my whole life.
If you are struggling and need help, please call Safe Haven. They will help you and treat you like a human being, with compassion, empathy and the best care. Thank each and every one of you for taking the chance on me and never looking back.
Thank you Chef for all of the talks with great advice and for the amazing food! And, thank you for training the squirrels to eat out of your hand. That made my heart smile.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for this program existing. I was handled with so much care and felt so much safety and love here.
I was in the lowest point of my life and from the hospital I spoke with Elizabeth and she took care of everything right away. I was on the plane the next morning.
Miss Ellen and Miss Lucy treat their staff and their clients with so much care that it feels like a family. Dr. Gary is quite literally the best Therapist I’ve ever had and I’m sad that he will no longer be working with me, but I finally have the tools that I need to live a healthy happy life.
I would give this place 100 stars if I could because they are that great. I’ve been to many treatment centers that I’ve been traumatizing, disorganized, and dysfunctional. I’ve accumulated a lot of trauma from some of those experiences and also wasn’t quite ready to surrender to recover recovery.
The group facilitators were fantastic and everybody made my birthday in here feel very special. Thank you safe Haven. I will miss you all.

This is a wonderful facility for detox and rehab. They are compassionate, accommodating, friendly, and professional. I’ll also add that their facilities are luxurious. We had every creature comfort the entire stay. A perfect place to hide away while you get your head back in order . They do a great job at discharge planning as well so that you aren’t just thrown out into the world without a solid transition plan.

☆This is a 2 year update to my comment☆
Well, I've been able to maintain abstinence from opioids still! Times have been hard: Family stress, big changes and situations that have triggered me beyond belief. Yet, I still have refused to go back to my old ways of using opiates to turn off my feelings and emotions.
Truly, the treatment I received through the Waismann Method and DOMUS center continue to keep me on a path of an opiate free life. The ups and downs of life are still a struggle, as they are for everyone. But with continued therapy and support, I've managed to combat the intrusive thoughts that rise up when things look and feel impossible.
I'll say it before and I'll say it again: I believe I wouldn't be here to write this review, or live this gift we call life had I not had the treatment I received. Thanks again to everyone who makes this program happen. And if you or a loved one are ready, truly ready to be free of your opioid addiction, this is it. Worth every penny and then some.
*This is a 1 year edit to my comment*
**Since leaving, life has not been easy. Stress, trauma and mental health have all been a major part of this recovery time. Yet, here I am, no desire to use opiates as my "off button" for stress. When intrusive thoughts of using or past use arise, Im able to shift from a longing to numb myself to a reminder of how far I've come.
I want to take this time to thank the staff at Domus and those who took such good care of me at the hospital. It wasn't a walk in the park, and certainly wasn't enjoyable to go through such a procedure, but I was well taken care of and made to feel as comfortable as possible.
So if you're reading this, take it from someone who thought addiction WAS the only life I could know: You can do this. Sticking with aftercare has been crucial, I have some amazing practitioners but aftercare looks different for everyone.
I did experience some PAWS symptoms (to be expected) about a few months after coming home. Which is why I so highly recommend some form of therapy as your transformation is slowly taking place.
I felt like a million bucks when I got home, but that cloud 9 feeling slowly left as my brain continued to go through the process of degrading old neuro pathways and using new coping skills to deal with life.
Rest. It's so important in my opinion to be able to rest afterwards. I felt like I wanted to run a marathon, only to realize 20 paces in that my body needs rest.
Security. Again, just my opinion, but to go to Domus and then return to a life where you're surrounded by risky situations is foolish. I don't mean living in a cave, but prepare before you go. Say goodbye to the people you won't want to see. Tell them what you're doing, maybe they'll see you going for it and want to make changes for themselves. Just don't go back to tell them how clean you are, it's not worth it. It hurts to see others where we were, and can be triggering.
So til next year, I wish the best to anyone considering the freedom that can come from this treatment.**

i've done multiple php/iop programs before cast. i just finished yesterday after about 4 months of first php and then iop levels of care. when i arrived i had been 10 years sober and in 1-1 therapy, been on meds, done somatic work, and did two rounds of TMS. i still was not feeling right, least of all confident in my direction and sense of self. through very simple (but not always easy!) guidance by my individual therapist Samson, the best therapist i've ever had, i was able to change things in my life i have been resistant towards forever. group therapy sessions are facilitated with a deft, guiding hand by a *licensed therapist* (many other programs in los angeles employ facilitators that are only associates or not even at least that at times). individual therapists may have differing approaches based on each client, but from talking to the members of my cohort, each 1-1 therapist at cast is as good as they come. from front desk to admin to therapists/facilitators, the level of professionalism and care is a rarity for a mental health facility, especially one that accepts insurance (a sign that they are in this to help people). if you are looking for the best care in la, i cannot recommend cast enough. my life is night and day from when i started, to when i ended just yesterday.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about going to a treatment living facility. This was due to my own perceptions and stigma on being open with total strangers on my addiction. I didn't realize that a communal atmosphere is just what I needed to open up and take care of well being. I stayed for 6 months at the Haven House in Long Beach. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. I very much recommend this establishment if you wish to progress through addiction and leave all the more better for society.

Lots of medical conditions. Gave me pheno for withdrawl, helped a lot at first, and having a difficult time with the taper; hallucinating, muscle tension etc. they do their best and offer meds to help but I sensitive to serotoninergic meds and can’t take them. My body is addicted to sedatives and gets withdrawals very easily and it gets brutal. Think my brain latched onto the pheno and now could be withdrawing from that. Staff is kind and patient, I am sensitive and my feelings have been hurt a couple times but they do their best and deal with difficult clients. Which I am a difficult client cuz I’m needy. So it is ok.
Much better than the last place I was at. If i were a normal case it would be better but I’ve had instances of kindling and my brain is severely addicted to sedatives after being perscirbed GHB for narcolepsy for 4 years, and I get seratonin syndrome very easily so can’t take many meds they offer. Not their fault, hard to work around.
My review could change I still have 20 more days I’m not sure but we will see.
ALEX (girl and also boy) and CLINT are very nice. They’re all nice but they’re very good. Also so is Nico Raise their pay
And CJ. Many other names I forget
ALSO CLAIRE IS VERY KIND :D I LIKE HER
AND PAM MY THERAPIST
Food is wonderful and I’m vegetarian and they give me options. The cleaners and cookers work so hard. I hope they are paid well they work extensively
Groups can be draining and repetitive but what’re you going to do, that’s how it is
Overall here is very good and since I’m okay and I’m a special and rare case (poly substance abuse, multiple medical issues, mental health diagnoses), if you’re more “normal,” you’ll have an excellent time.
Accepting environment for LGBT+.
ONLY COMPLAINTS: They DO enforce a dress code which I believe reinforces patriarchal values but it’s ok.
Wish the medical team on the top would take withdrawal and symptom complaints more seriously; vitals are just the surface. Like ie I was told I shouldn’t be withdrawing when I WAS. (Like bro I’m as lost as you are ) Staff on site isn’t at fault on this. However as I said they HAVE offered me helpful meds for them and it is not their fault that I can’t take them due to medical condition/seratonin syndrome. I do wish they did a longer GABAergic taper ie pheno diazepam etc for me but they did extend it.
Seems like on the upper end there’s some communication issues which is understandable bc there’s a lot of patients, but had some instances where I was told I could take a med, then told it’s not approved, etc
BUT EVERYWHERE WILL HAVE ISSUES AND
VERY AWESOME PLACE

Oro House Recovery – Mar Vista is truly exceptional. The staff genuinely care and take time to understand each person’s story instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. The homes are beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed for healing. Their compassionate model, combined with evidence-based therapy and holistic care, creates an environment where real recovery happens. I left feeling hopeful, supported, and equipped with the tools I needed for lasting change.

Commerce, California | Adolescent Growth is a residential drug and alcohol rehab for teens in Commerce, California. They can help with other behavioral health and mental health issues for kids ages 12-17. You can find Adolescent Growth on a quiet street in Commerce, California, a few steps away from a beautiful private park. They offer residential mental health treatment | Treatments Payment Options | We were deeply impressed by their holistic treatment approach. The residential treatment program for substance abuse was compassionate and very well organized. The team treated more than just the symptoms—they helped my child work through anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders with both individual therapy and family sessions. The facility is warm, welcoming, and really feels like a home, not a hospital. Couldn’t be more grateful.

I would like to respond to a review written two months ago. I typically do not write reviews, but it was upsetting to read something that is so opposite of what is actually true.
I attended groups at Welmor for over a year and a half on a regular basis. Patti, who was named in the previous review, makes a huge difference in this world. Her attention given to the clients saves lives. She taught us about addiction and how our brains are wired, physical sobriety, emotional sobriety, she gave us tools to live productively each day of our lives, and genuinely cared about each one of us - something that cannot be taught in any school. Her groups were always the most attended as everyone wanted to be in “Patti‘s group.” There was a sense of well-being in her groups, and friendships were cultivated. I was actually in attendance the day the gentleman that wrote the review was there. He was the one that was extremely disruptive and out of line. He seemed volatile and to be perfectly honest, I was very uncomfortable with him in the room, as were many others. So for him to take the time to write a terrible review about Patti is not only wrong but very sad. I hope you will ignore his review as I promise It is completely false.

Because I love Martin Luther King and what he stood for, because I love the vision behind what made this program, I'm leaving a rating reflecting the hope I have invested into what this program could become and because I love the staff here that put their heart and life into supporting folks like me, and I am grateful. Better than jail for sure.
