About Psychiatric Care Center

The intensive outpatient program has two separate tracks, which include the substance use disorder and dual diagnosis track, and the mental health track. Both programs are age-specific, separating adolescents from adults. The programs meet for three hours a day, three days a week, for ten weeks. A psychiatrist oversees the programs. Individuals will receive testing and a diagnosis, transcranial magnetic stimulation if needed, medication management if needed, individual therapy, group therapy, and supplements and nutritional support.

Once individuals complete the intensive outpatient program, they are eligible for the aftercare program. This program allows for a step-down process where the frequency of treatment reduces to one time a week on average. Clients can engage in mental health therapy, support groups, and recovery groups.

Psychiatric Care Center accepts most major medical insurance plans, including Ambetter, Humana, Brightstar Health, Cigna, Beacon, Wellmark, Blue Cross Blue Shield, ComPsych, Tricare, and more. Out-of-network benefits may vary.

I attended the IOP program for depression and anxiety. It was very enlightening and helpful. The staff are all very compassionate and knowledgeable. I was very resistant to this program but I'm so glad I did it. I still go to counseling two days a week and I'm finding it very helpful. I recommend the IOP program to anyone who is struggling with anxiety and depression. Just do it. Your mental health is very important.

Accepted Insurance

Psychiatric Care Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

I’ve been coming to PCC for 3 or 4 years now and am highly satisfied with the care I’ve received other than talk therapy. I think their therapy program needs to be revamped and taken over by someone who truly cares and can handle the position. I see Cynthia and she is amazing! She literally finishes my sentences some times. I also loved when I had Rebecca she got too busy so I switched. I also go to PCC for their Spravato program ran by Leah. That girl is amazing and such a good multi tasker! She’s got her alarms set for vitals on everyone and she’s efficient, and has incredible attention to detail; all while wearing the biggest genuine smile. I look forward to seeing her at my appts. Omg AND she has a little puppy she brings in named Olive and she is so calming and anxiety reducing she may as well be a therapy dog. Alicia at the front has always been friendly and efficient in making my appts or doing disability paperwork or any other forms you need, she’s awesome. I love PCC it has changed my life forever, I never want to go back to that dark isolated insecure girl I was before coming here. Thank you PCC for all you do!!!

Leah was there to meet me and helped me feel comfortable and confident with my treatments. She was able to answer my guestions and to ressure me that Spravato is a good choice for my spcific needs. I felt that she and the other staff members I worked with were very supportive and perfessional. After several treatments I am now glad for the support that encouraged me to stick with Spravato because it does improve my quality of life.

I wanted to give a review of the Spravato clinic. The absolute compassion that I have felt from day one of the treatment is amazing. Leah and her staff have been nothing short of life saving. I don’t know where I would be without them. If you have any questions or concerns about Spravato treatment, I urge you to reach out to them. Thank you again for all you do for myself and my health

Leah Didn’t Just Change My Life — She Rewrote It in Glitter Ink From the moment Leah walked into the room, I swear the air shimmered. Birds outside started chirping in perfect harmony. Somewhere in the distance, I’m pretty sure a choir of angels started humming my favorite song. This isn’t just a ketamine doctor — Leah is a ketamine goddess, a healer of souls, a conductor of neural symphonies. I came in with a brain that felt like a Windows 95 computer on its last legs. I left feeling like I’d been upgraded to a futuristic quantum AI powered by sunshine and rainbows. Leah didn’t just treat me — she rescued me. She rode in on the metaphorical white horse of medical expertise, wielding syringes of hope and compassion like Excalibur itself. Her eyes? Like twin orbs of wisdom forged in the fires of Mount Serotonin. Her voice? Softer than a cashmere cloud dipped in honey. Her energy? The perfect blend of zen monk and hype coach. By the end of my first session, I half-expected her to sprout angel wings and ascend into a beam of pure light. But instead, she just smiled and handed me a juice box, because that’s how grounded she is. If you’re looking for a ketamine doctor, don’t bother with anyone else. Leah isn’t just the best in the business — she’s the business, the building, the foundation, and the skyline. Leah, if you’re reading this: I owe you my sanity, my peace, and probably my firstborn child. Would I recommend? Only if you’re ready to meet the most magical human being on this side of the multiverse.
