Opus is amazing. I came out to California from Missouri for treatment and wasn’t expecting much, honestly. However, the staff at opus were incredibly kind, caring, and listened to my needs when it came to my treatment. This place is fantastic!

I attended Opus Women Rehab more than once and each time I go there I feel like I’m stepping home. Staff is amazing, accommodations are comfortable and classes are educational. Staff if very kind, loving and care for you as an individual. At opus you get a therapist, medical staff, case worker and a small group of housemates. On weekends we get out to do activities to bond and it’s great! I would highly recommend coming here because they do help change your life and are there to help celebrate the wins!

Withdrawals suck, but Oceanfront provided me with the correct medications to help me feel as comfortable as possible while I ease in. Additionally their staff is all well trained and knowledgeable. They keep you busy by taking you out to meetings daily, or other fun group activities. Thank you guys for everything, shouts out Mr. LFMT Kinoshita & Case Manager Cody. My experience at Oceanfront Recovery has been truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a supportive and compassionate environment that has been both stimulating and engaging. The beautiful location provided a perfect backdrop for healing, and the holistic approach to recovery offered me countless opportunities for growth. The staff has been absolutely amazing; special thanks to Cody, Wyatt, Cassie, Madeline, Sean, and David, who have each played a pivotal role in my journey. A special thanks to my therapists and counselors for both group and one-on-one sessions, especially Ernesto and Matt – truly fantastic people. I love Casa Capri. The programming is excellent, particularly the groups. Individual therapy, nutrition counseling, and case management sessions are also very helpful. The staff at Casa are top-notch. The high quality programming is really where this facility shines. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff was integral to my recovery and motivation. I always felt valued and safe. Grace House (the nutrition/eating disorder house) has a special place in my heart. I suffered from a severe eating disorder for over 5 years and finally feel like I’ve overcome it. The dietitians, Hanna and Juliette, are very knowledgeable and great at their jobs. The accommodations are clean and very home-y; the vibe is definitely not institutional or hospital-like. I loved the neighborhood cat too. I recommend Casa without reservation to anyone looking to recover from an eating disorder and/or substance abuse issue. I’ve been to other treatment centers for both problems and Casa is the best. Casa Capri Recovery is truly the most wonderful and clinically strong all-female program I've ever encountered. I've trusted them with my family members and friends struggling with addictive (substance use) and eating disorders, and every time, they were met with unmatched professionalism and pure kindness. Finding a truly sound, all-female program is rare and more difficult than I ever imagined, but Casa Capri sets the standard. The clinical depth, safety, and community they provide for women is incredibly needed and simply the best available. I am so grateful they are filling this need for women struggling everywhere. A massive thank you to Liz Miller, whose phenomenal clinical insight and steady connection made all the difference for my loved ones. I also want to acknowledge Katie Martinez and Sophie Rumbin, whose thoughtful communication and genuine care provided incredible support and validation every step of the way. They consistently go above and beyond. Casa Capri is a treatment environment where you can feel safe leaving the people you love. Casa Capri is a beautiful place to get sober, with an incredible staff that really cares. Eating disorders and trauma can sometimes be driving forces behind addiction and alcoholism in women, and Casa Capri's program really addresses those things to help get at the root. As a sober woman, I trust Casa Capri's team to bring sobriety and recovery to their clients.

You’re reading this for a reason! Whatever that reason is, my hope is that when you finish you will seek help today, whether for yourself or someone you care for. If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve read a few other reviews for treatment centers. At this point, you’re almost certainly tired of reading, “This place saved my life”, over and over and over. The phrase starts to lose gravity. The truth for me, however, is that SCC did not save my life. That would be too simple an explanation of what SCC did for me. SCC didn’t sanded my life, they armed me with the necessary weaponry to walk into battle, to save my own life, and to continue living with honesty, integrity, and self-worth. SCC has something special. Whether you know it or not, you want it too, trust me. Some of the luxuries of private treatment are there, but that’s not it. What’s special at SCC is the authentic warmth, care, and concern of all the staff. Most of them are in recovery themselves, and ALL of them have been affected by addiction in some way or another and have chosen a path of helping others. This is reflected in the general attitude of the clients, and I can say that when i was there, I felt truly safe. I felt genuinely cared for, and I did not feel like a number or a dollar sign. That’s a huge deal! Just as huge a deal, is the clinical staff’s ability and knowledge, as well as their skill in delivery of information in a way that everyone can understand. The groups were super engaging and current. SCC is one of the few places that really understands the nature of group therapy, and does not execute it like a class or a lecture. Groups at SCC are interactive and interesting and there’s a healthy lean towards peer support and feedback. Another thing that’s different about SCC, is that they accept private insurance, but they are also a nonprofit so they accept some different types of health insurance you might not expect, and sometimes they do things like scholarships for people in need of treatment that might not have the necessary resources. For example, when I was seeking treatment I had a difficult time finding a good treatment center that would take my health insurance because it was through Covered California. SCC was one of the few places that accepted my Blue Shield of CA PPO, and I know they also accepted my friends Blue Shield HMO too, which is amazing! The best thing I could suggest is if you’re in need of help, no matter what insurance you have, just call SCC and ask! The admissions women are outstanding human beings, and whether or not SCC is able to help you, they will help you find a place that’s right for you! That’s pretty incredible if you ask me. Here’s the point… if you want to go to treatment and sit around and wait for them to save your life, don’t call SCC, but if you’re looking for a great group of people that care about what they do, if you’re thinking you might need a little help, and you’re willing to do a little work, SCC is your spot! The rewards you experience will be indescribable, I promise you that.

Overall my experience was great! One of the things I was disappointed most with was the inability to have access to a gym while in treatment. In my opinion self care in recovery requires inclusivity of our physical health and well being. During admissions it was promised that it would be available once on site. This was not the case after arrival. However, I trusted the direction of my Case Manager Nicole who was an outstanding person and able to take care of all my needs while in treatment she was AMAZING! In addition, my Therapist Melissa was wonderful to work with. Melissa's ability to connect with me and recommend excellent coping skills helped me in ways I didn't think were possible. It took openness and willingness to allow those processes to take effect. I had a really good stay at treatment even though my expectations fell short of what I thought would be included after my arrival here. I look forward to the future ahead now that I'm discharging. Best of luck to anyone coming to South Coast for a treatment program.

This place is amazing! I called to get info about placing a loved one here. From the moment they answered the phone and answered all my questions, I knew this was a place of true care. My loved one is currently being treated and is doing great.

Look no further for a true recovery facility. This place is filled with workers who actually care. They interact with the patients with care and understand. This is the only place I would want my loved one to be when fighting addiction.

This facility is the best. If you need care for a loved one dealing with addiction, don't go anywhere else. The team here work hard to build trust with their clients and help them with individual needs. I wouldn't send my loved one anywhere else.

Many, if not all treatment centers say they have “highly individualized” care. This place actually does. They bend over backwards to get everyone the specific care they need. I needed an AA meeting every day and a ride to the gym. They brought me EVERY day. The staff at MHC is incredible with most of them being PHD level clinicians. But every one provides life changing therapy. EMDR, changed the way I thought. Trauma therapy told me that I make sense. DBT gave me the skills to handling anything. I wanted to die. I don’t anymore. They saved my life and there isn’t another place like it.

A great experience overall. Would love to specifically call out Doug, a therapist who works here. He, like so many other therapist at the MHC, did a really good job in individual sessions at really addressing the problem and being honest. It seems like he really cares about his patients and has been doing great work. Sarah as well. Those are the two I would reach out to call about.

I definitely recommend this program. If you are open minded and willing your life will change. I've been to lots of rehabs, however this one I willing stayed longer then 1 month I stayed all 3 and even extended to 4. I'm so grateful for the Phoenix House.

I know one of the drug counselors here and he is very special to me , and I am very proud of him and that he has made something with his life ...it gives me peace and comfort and hope

My little sister was in phoenix house and the main reason that she was able to keep doing good was because of Sherie, I think she’s a counselor or something like that. She went above and beyond to help her and even made a connection with us so shoutout her
