I recommend this recovery program to anyone wanting to change their life and get off drugs or alcohol. The accommodations are extremely comfortable not what I expected when I though of rehab was expecting to feel like I was in a hospital but this was not the case at all. Muirwood is a cadillac facility in every way! I was impressed with every facet of the program, the facilities, the staff, the family resources, discharge resources etc. If one has to go through this nightmare experience of substance abuse and all that entails, this is a safe landing place for our sons and an invaluable resource for us as families, not only while our son is there in treatment, but in terms of being set up to move forward after treatment as well. I am forever grateful to Muirwood and so thankful my son was able to be there at such a critical time in his life!

Our 15 year old son spent 36 days at Muir Wood in 2017. We had a very positive experience. Amazing staff and very caring. The environment is perfect to take a step back and reflect about life challenges. Actually a place you would consider to spend a family summer vacation. Our son got out of his first treatment with much improvement in understanding his addiction disease and coping skills. The family support program is very helpful. After a relapse, he would only go back into treatment if it was at Muir Wood, he doesn't want to even consider any other place. The only pain point was the constant health insurance negotiations, with only a few days approved at a time, so we never knew when we should be prepared to have him out of treatment and back home.

Starla, who was assigned as his counselor, has been nothing short of amazing. She goes out of her way to make sure he feels comfortable, and she truly takes the time to connect with her patients in a meaningful way. Her dedication and empathy have made a world of difference.
D has also been incredible, except her being a Cowboys fan, she is very supportive, kind, and always present. And the doctor caring for my friend has provided outstanding attention and compassion throughout his treatment.

Great bunch of people working there. From Mikey at the front desk on weekends, to Janean, Shay, Kirk, and of course the beloved and beautiful Kaleen who does everyone's job. Administrative people also consists of quality people, their names escape me.
Each of them compassionate, conscientious and kind, choosing to help others attain their individual goals in sobriety. The clinic seems to be populated on most days by people who are experienced at using drugs, sobriety, and generally being run over by life. Not one of them have I ever heard come lain that a counselor didn't see them, or want to speak with them. Truly a cool bunch. I've heard horror stories of other clinics treatment of clients, that doesn't exist here.

The Pathway Program saved my daughter's life. She was completely out of control and abusing drugs and alcohol. She was getting in trouble and hanging out with the wrong crowd.
The first time I brought her to the shop, all of the counselors and kids welcomed her with open arms. She instantly had clean and sober friends her age that she could relate to and have fun with. The kids hold each other accountable and are a huge support to each other. They are together almost every day and provide the vital friendship needed to succeed in recovery.
The Pathway Program is not the typical outpatient program where you attend during the day, but then are alone at night and on the weekends. Two week nights a week the kids are together doing recovery related groups. On the weekends the kids do all kinds of different activities and learn how to have fun being sober in real life. This is part of the aftercare part of the program.
There is an excellent parent support group once a week with parents that have been through it all. The parents are so supportive and I was able to call them anytime of the day or night with any questions. The counselors are extremely knowledgeable about addiction and connect with the kids extremely well. They were also available anytime to help with crisis situations and offer support.
I feel so blessed to have been able to get my daughter the help she needed through The Pathway Program. It has changed both of our lives for the better and offered us hope for the future. I would highly recommend this program for any teens or young adults that are struggling with addiction.

We are so grateful to have found Pathways! When we finally realized our 17 year old daughter had a drug and alcohol problem we had no idea where to turn. There didn’t seem to be many options for young people. We reached out to Pathways and found a welcoming program that instantly felt like family! It was a slow start for our daughter to want to be sober, but with the tools the program provided and the love and support of the group, she is almost 8 months clean and sober. Her entire outlook has changed. She’s living her life from a place of honesty and being of service to others. She has like-minded friends in the program that support her in enthusiastic sobriety. We are so thankful to have found a place that helped her make these things happen!
Another aspect of Pathways that we appreciate is the parent support group. This was key as it helped us to make the right moves to help our daughter heal and move forward. It provided support, tools, and encouragement.
I wish every city had a great place like this for teens and young adults to heal and find happiness! If you are looking for a place to help your kid (and you) through the challenge of addiction this is it!

Horrible customer service and very unprofessional. They will cancel your appointment if you don’t pay them even if you need to see the doctor and are very sick they will not see you if you don’t pay for your visit. The receptionist are very rude and not professional at all. This is not a private medical clinic not sure why they REFUSE to see a sick patient if they don’t pay first.

We love the facility. The office staff is easy to get a hold of and they do their very best to work around our schedule and reschedules.
The swim instructors have all been great. They are attentive to kiddos especially those with special needs. They cater their swim lessons around the kids needs while still providing a fun and safe environment. We are truly grateful we switched from the other company to Service First. My son absolutely loves coming here.

Any negative post either is bitter because they were discharged for using or drinking because I can't say enough good things about the people running valley sober living or the facilities.
When I arrived I was treated like family by the guests which was what I needed because I was super nervous. But within a few days I felt at home and my confidence skyrocketed. I got a job quickly after and that was the start I needed to change my life.
