Amazing program with a lot of really amazing staff members who are extremely caring and understanding I took advantage of the anger management classes as well as parenting classes my favorite and most helpful education course they provided when I was a resident that I use in my daily life was the communication a d boundaries class, it helps me build stronger healthier relationships and put and end to any toxic one that would potentially be hazardous to my recovery, I showed up there with nothing. Within 8 months of successfully completing the program without deviating I was able to clear up my out standing court cases, got my license back! a steady job! A vehicle! My teeth fixed! They took my to my dental appointments. I now have a beautiful smile and my confidence back as well as my self respect and able to get past my barriers and start accomplishing my goals, and building my relationships I ruined and repairing the bridges I burned.

The process was very organized and the flu and COVID vaccine line moved swiftly. My nurse was friendly and informative as to the vaccines I was receiving. Always a pleasure, it is a slower and smaller building then I am used to in Roseville or even Nevada county. Its very well organized, they have a great space for what it's used for. Everyone is so helpful. Like easily and quickly helpful. My worker is unbelievable! I don't know if it's because it's smaller or what. But I have been able to accomplish so much more with el dorado county then anywhere else Ive lived. I don't feel like a number just being rushed thru a system. Everyone seems to pay attention in a different way. The hospital is the same, the marshall medical family medicine is incredible! The offer so much and its very easy to find. When I call I don't get some bitchy lady who is annoyed and rude. El dorado county is very nice. Even dealing with the sheriff. They were very easy going and respectful. Understanding and so so so helpful. I learned about the community and job opportunities from them. Which is how it totally should be! A community.

I've been going to this clinic since 2017 for psychiatric services. The resident pshychatist has changed four times since then. Dr. Barnes first, then Dr. Seghal, then Dr. Manuel, and now Dr. Carillo. (If history is any guide, Dr. Carillo will eventually be succeeded by another doctor at some point.) All of the doctors were good in their own ways. Never had the slightest problem with any of them. I bonded most with Dr. Seghal because he was an intellectual, and I learn best when speaking to intellectuals. Dr. Carillo, for her part, is the most efficient and reliable of all her predecessors not to mention the most empathetic. She is second to none. You couldn't ask for a better doctor. Well, I suppose you could, but you wouldn't get one. Despite the many changeovers with the psychiatrists, the services have never changed: they are fantastic, and I highly recommend this clinic.

This review is a little late I haven't been there in a few years So the psychiatrist I saw was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the therapist I saw but maybe she just wasn't the best therapist for me personally.idk also they were kinda hard to get a hold of for a while and the phone would just ring and ring for what felt like forever so I just kinda gave up trying so that was kinda on me too .this was back in like 2018 or 2019 for context so the people who worked there then might not even work there anymore.

Med Mark changed my life! from the very moment i stepped foot in their facility i knew i was NOT going back. Every counselor i have had has been a part of my Sobreity recovery journey. I can ALWAYS call or show up when I need some guidance and just someone to listen to me, whether I am sharing my milestones and accomplishments or something that feels like a burden or pain I must cope with. I am very grateful for The Lakes. Everyone on staff was kind, patient and empathetic. We had a family member stay there and The Lakes changed her life and our lives for the better. They treated her like family and from the time she arrived to the time she was ready to come home... it was immediately apparent she was in much better health mentally, emotionally and physically. Not only did they provide her with help she sorely needed but they provide the tools needed to ensure success after as well with a more 'dual diagnostics' approach which I found VERY effective.
Now with life after The Lakes, she made friends with other guests there and has established a great support group. The Lakes approach encourages guests to develop friendships that people can carry after they leave. I've seen other treatment centers and this is not your 'typical' treatment center. This one has a much more 'family' oriented approach that will help you on multiple levels.
So THANK YOU to all the staff there... I feel like we got a new lease on life and we are super grateful for all your help. (Also... the food was excellent so kudos to the kitchen staff too) You just don't get that 'family vibe' anywhere else for a place like this and that's a key component to The Lakes success.
UPDATE: one year later and she is still doing great... not just great but the happiest and most fulfilled I've ever seen her. The Lakes really works... I am SO grateful for them.

As a family member of someone who attends the outpatient program I have to give 5 stars. Angela the program manager has been exceptional in my husband's care. She has bent over backwards to make sure my husband has a clear understanding of the process and even went above and beyond for him to get his needs met. She has always made time for him and that is rare for management to make time for a client. She really took the time to ease his fears and frustrations. To have my husband back and happy with life has been a long time coming and it is thanks to Angela. He also shared with me that counselor Diana is very helpful she is kind, compassionate and willing to always take time for clients even if they are not on her case load. These two employees are stellar. We have been to other programs and everyone seemed to busy and unable to take the time to explain things or help with any problems outside of their job description and both of these people have taken the time to sit with him and walk him through how he is feeling and to not give up. To see my husband smiling and happy again is so amazing thank you Angela, Diana and CRC for giving me my husband back.
The only complaint we have is that counselor Ann needs to be more compassionate towards new people especially but all clients that attend treatment there. My husband almost quit treatment because she was judgmental and rude. This type of behavior towards someone brand new in treatment could have had such an adverse consequence on a client. Maybe she is burnt out and if that is the case she needs to step away before she causes harm. Thank God Angela and Diana are there to keep the lack of compassion in others flowing from them so clients will stay to change their lives. Again, thank you CRC, Angela and Diana for all your help and giving our family back the biggest piece it had been missing for years.

I unfortunately started taking a substance that I believed was an over-the-counter supplement and didn’t realize the risks associated with 7-OH and kratom. After going through detox, I knew I needed additional support, and thankfully I found California Recovery Center through my insurance.
I’ve had an amazing experience here. I have a wonderful therapist I see weekly, and I’ve also had the opportunity to speak with the Program Manager (Angela), who has helped me tremendously.
I especially want to recognize Diana and Angela. They are two of the kindest, most compassionate, and caring people I’ve encountered during this journey. They genuinely make you feel supported and understood.
I’m extremely grateful I found California Recovery Center. Asking for help isn’t easy, but having the right people beside you makes all the difference. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for compassionate and professional support.

My name is Alicia and I have been a patient at the BAART Norwood clinic since May 2014 and seen it go through amazing growth and change! I highly recommend for anyone who is serious about getting into treatment to consider this program. The Director Mellisa is fabulous and truly does do everything within her ability to help patients on every level, Margo is the angel that works at the reception window she is knowledgeable kind and respectful Always to all the patients that come in. But my absolute favorite is my counselor Shay she is fabulous, she is always open to listening and guiding and helping as much as she can, and I truly feel she has my best interest and recovery at the forefront I never feel rushed or like I’m a burden and she is incredibly relatable and nonjudgmental which is huge when your trying to be honest with yourself and them about your recovery, your everyday life struggles and everything else that contributes to success when in recovery! But a big shout out to all the dispensing nurses also they have to put up with a lot sometimes and they stay focused and determined to get everyone dosed in a timely manner! I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for New Dawn. They truly helped save my life. Thanks to this amazing treatment center, I’ve been in recovery for over three years now.
This location is absolutely beautiful and feels luxurious! I was a client at the Fair Oaks location, but at the time the Loomis location (this location) was co-ed, and we often got to come here for group sessions, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and even to swim in their beautiful pool. The staff was always extremely welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. You could feel that they genuinely cared about us clients, our long-term recovery, and our experience while we were under their care, no matter which site we were at.
The combination of individual therapy and counseling, group sessions, and experiential activities creates an environment where real change is possible while also allowing clients to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the facility, which makes being away from home a little easier. I would 100% recommend New Dawn to anyone who wants to grow, heal, and rebuild their life.

The program at New Dawn Villa Ladera (Loomis location) is a wonderful facility! The clinical and medical staff are very supportive and attentive to each client's needs and the food prepared by the personal, onsite chef is amazing!

My counselor calls me on Wednesdays at 650am and that fine but that day I could not sleep at all so when I finally fell asleep I missed my call but I tried called back at 730 and no answer so I called the front desk they had someone call me and she talked to me for about 30 min and then said she had to go because she had another client but she never said I was going to be on stand by so I thought I was Good Friday comes around and I’m on stand by smh 🤦🏽♂️ but Friday I had an interview @1pm and I let them know I can reschedule and make it up but they did not care they had me wait till 1:30pm when my interview was at 1

A great place to be hooked up with if you're battle with fentanyl, heroin, or any opioid has you pinned. The staff are kind, nice, and each has undoubtedly endured more years of opiod dependency than you. I am guessing of course, but they are pros.
Enrollment couldn't be easier and dosing happens the same day. Within a month, take-homes are a reality and you can taper if and when you wish. I wish I had known of this place sooner. Sooner, like when you're panicked trying to find a place because you're about to be sick and you're out of money. Just call them.
The counselors are there to help and do just that, they help. I wish I'd called ten years ago before I lost almost everything. Thanks Marcy, Charlie, Kaleen, Mikey, Shay, Jane and, and Kirk, and everyone who's been in my life to help. You guys rock.

I have been attending this clinic for many years now and I have had rough times....not only do they always treat everyone with respect and care regardless of who they are or what they look like or smell like 👍 honestly because I can say from experience I've been in line next to some ripe smelling stuff...I think it's from the carpet because that's the only thing I would change. The people and staff are loving ❤️ and caring and understanding. I always feel welcomed when I walk in the door and if you have problems with like just ask 😌 🙂 I promise they do everything possible to help others. Everyone has big hearts 💕 💞.

I was in the program for over 10 years. I broke my chains and the program worked. Once I was off I felt how I felt before ever taking medication. Its hard but worth it. Through god and nuropyschologic I got my self through it. I wake up thankful for no longer being dependent on medication. I wish I would of done it sooner but fear got the best of me which is why I needed jesus to carry me though it.

Mo was great to work with during the intake process. She was professional, easy to talk to, and made everything feel comfortable and smooth from the start. What really stood out is how she remembers everyone’s name when we show up to group in the mornings bc it makes the experience feel very personal and genuine. You can tell they truly cares about us unlike the other place I’ve been to near by. The groups here are also amazing, very supportive and welcoming. So far I love it here

I was only here for five days, but in those 5 days I learned so many tools and have so many resources. The staff is absolutely amazing and take care of you really well they make you feel heard and seen. I would definitely recommend going here if you are struggling with mental health and addiction.
