CRC saved my life once again. I was here in August for 33 days. I gained so much knowledge of many coping skills, relapse prevention, what to do upon graduating. ...I unfortunately relapsed, consumed more alcohol than I ever have in my life for 7 days. It's like I went from 0 to 60. ...The problem was: I NEVER UTILIZED THOSE COPING SKILLS. I NEVER GOT A SPONSOR. I NEVER WENT TO OUTSIDE MEETINGS. I DID NOT PROGRAM. Granted, I attended their incredible aftercare program of 30 hours a week, once I left the 6 hour a day class - I DIDN'T PROGRAM! Upon graduating today, by the grace of God and CRC, I already have a sponsor, I've actually opened & read some of the Big Book, they are personally transferring me door to door to their aftercare. They are so many wonderful and grateful words that I could go on and on and about CRC. Without the dedication & guidance & sincere concern and knowledge from management, counselors and medical staff, I honestly don't believe I'd be here to write this. I will not give up. I'm happy today. And most importantly, I'm SOBER!

I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for New Dawn. They truly helped save my life. Thanks to this amazing treatment center, I’ve been in recovery for over three years now.
This location is absolutely beautiful and feels luxurious! I was a client at the Fair Oaks location, but at the time the Loomis location (this location) was co-ed, and we often got to come here for group sessions, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and even to swim in their beautiful pool. The staff was always extremely welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. You could feel that they genuinely cared about us clients, our long-term recovery, and our experience while we were under their care, no matter which site we were at.
The combination of individual therapy and counseling, group sessions, and experiential activities creates an environment where real change is possible while also allowing clients to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the facility, which makes being away from home a little easier. I would 100% recommend New Dawn to anyone who wants to grow, heal, and rebuild their life.

Diamond House Detox is absolutely an excellent and amazing recovery house and program! I have tried several different rehab facilities but Diamond House is by far the best! The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. The curriculum and groups are very balanced and engaging. Diamond House has literally saved my life! The owner Vicky isn’t just doing this for the money, she is also very compassionate about each and every patient. They also do art therapy, music therapy, meditation and sound bowls. A workout trainer come out five days a week to do cross fit, weightlifting, boxing, and yoga. They also have cinema therapy every Sunday and every Saturday they take us for an outing either bowling, dance class, pool tables and ping-pong and Equine therapy with horses. The food is so delicious with phenomenal chefs!
I cannot give a more high recommendation for rehab than Diamond House! The alumni program is also wonderful with weekly Friday night speaker meetings and fun events every month like the sober bowl party , rollerskating, silent disco party And much more! If you need help with the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction, you need to go to Diamond House! They also have a fabulous PHP partial hospitalization and IOP intensive outpatient program. Fair Oaks Recovery Center provided me with an opportunity to rest, reflect, and recover from a lifestyle that was slowly killing me. I was referred to F.O.R.C after insurance complications with another facility, and I thank God that I was. This truly is an incredible program. From the general and medical staff to the clinical and leadership teams, every person I had the opportunity to work with was genuinely kind, caring, and truly invested in their effort to improve the lives of those they touch. Fair Oaks Recovery was a life-changing experience for me. The staff genuinely care, the program is structured, and the environment creates a strong foundation for recovery. From the clinical team to the support staff, everyone treats you with respect and encourages growth, accountability, and connection.
One person who deserves special recognition is Mandi, the Alumni Coordinator. Mandi has put an incredible amount of effort into building and strengthening the recovery community. She consistently organizes fun events, creates opportunities for people to stay connected after treatment, and fosters a welcoming atmosphere where people feel supported long after they leave the program. Her dedication, energy, and genuine care for others have helped countless people build meaningful relationships in recovery and stay engaged in a positive, healthy lifestyle.
Recovery can be challenging, but having people like Mandi who go above and beyond to bring the community together makes a real difference. I'm grateful for my experience at Fair Oaks Recovery and for the lasting connections I've made along the way.

Before coming here, my mom was a chronic alcoholic. Anyone reading this knows what that can entail; her life was a struggle at every step. But shes since taken control of her own life, through FORC, and shes the happiest version of herself Ive ever seen. She tells stories of what her experience was like, and its asonishing. Some people have a pre concieved notion that rehab is like a prison, but its more like a new home. She had school, homework, full meals, and happiness. She found a circle of people different from her united by experience and trauma, and this helped to open her eyes. Since graduating, shes travels 2h to Sacremento every tuesday to attend Alumni meetings. She has become a symbol to others of what a person can do when they stop being controlled and act with purpose. And at that, we thank FORC. For providing community, education, humanity, and purpose.

I can honestly say my experience at Diamond House Detox was life-changing. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly cared for. The house itself is extremely clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made a huge difference during such an important time in my life.
What really sets this place apart is the full continuum of care. I was able to transition smoothly from detox to residential rehab and then into their IOP program, which gave me the structure and support I needed every step of the way. That consistency made a big impact on my recovery.
The chefs are incredible—the meals are high quality, nutritious, and something you actually look forward to every day. It may seem small, but it really helps when you’re going through this process.
The staff is amazing across the board—professional, compassionate, and always there when you need them. The counselors and therapists truly care and take the time to understand you, helping you build real tools for long-term recovery.

Although I have been dealing with pain and suffering for years. I did not feel the V.A. Was for me. I scheduled an appointment many years ago, showed up and seen guys missing limbs and in wheelchairs. I felt they needed the time and resources, over the mental and physical pain I was enduring. I kept getting the mail, then the emails started, then information on the burn pits and pact act. I was heavily encouraged to go to the V.A. I was told the others missing limbs are being taken care of and I should go because I earned it too, and I wasn’t taking anything from them. So after many years I did. I want to thank the staff who greeted and helped me, as I’m new to the V.A. System. From the eligibility and E.R. Staff and everyone in between. From Dr. Lemons to Dr. Summers. I’ve heard stories about the V.A. Healthcare system that weren’t very flattering. I did not have that negative experience. Everyone was very helpful and helped me navigate not only with eligibility but through the different departments. I understand people can get complacent or have bad days, but the staff genuinely seemed they cared about the people and took their jobs seriously. I appreciate that. I know this can be a thankless job at times, seeing and hearing horrible stuff, and I do apologize for sharing some of my traumatic experiences with the staff, but they listened and put me on the right track to address my service connected needs. I really appreciate everyone who helped me last week. It was a full day, but we did a lot. I want to thank everyone who has called scheduling up all of the follow up appointments. If you are a veteran and need help you should reach out. If you feel you have a service connected injury either physical or mental, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out, you earned it too! One thing I would like to point out, if you do have a mental and or physical injury and don’t go to the V.A. Hospital, thinking you don’t deserve it, or because you where trained to suck it up, or use other facilities you should really go. I imagine by getting veterans to come to these facilities, it helps with the budget and helps attract and retain good staff and acquire the necessary equipment and maintain facilities. I’ve been using Kaiser and Sutter for decades, but I truly believe the people I met at the Northern California V.A. Hospital really outshines the others. My journey has just started after a long delay, but you shouldn’t make the mistake I did, go. If you are a fellow veteran suffering from depression, having intrusive thoughts or thought of suicide you need to call 988. To all my fellow vets you earned it, go, give them a chance. They did a good job, if they disappoint me in the future , and this was a one off event, I’ll update it in the coming months. But no one skipped a beat. Clean facilities, professional staff. Go! Airborne all the way!

I didn't know what to expect when I came here and was very worried I wouldn't like it. After the first day I couldn't believe how helpful and friendly the staff were. I I very quickly realized I was going to learn a lot and meet some great people and that is exactly how it has played out. The counselors are absolutely amazing and I have learned more about addiction, behavioral therapy, anger management, the science of cravings and the science of addiction than I could have ever imagined. I thought I knew a lot because Ive been to a bunch of AA meetings. Boy was I wrong. The counselors have been absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful. They have personal experience and are very easy to relate to. The food is fantastic, the other clients in the house have become great friends, and I feel like these last 30 days has completely changed me into the person I was before I came here and has given me the tools to continue to live a healthy life after I leave. I feel like I got my life back. I love that they take us to the gym and keep us busy all day with groups and physical activity, serve us healthy delicious food, and took us to an Alpaca Farm which was sooooo much fun! Yoga Kelly, the massages, and the acupuncture were very helpful. I highly recommend New Dawn to anyone that is considering rehab. I didn't want to come here 30 days ago and now I don't want to leave! Sacramento, CA | The J Street Community Health Center is part of Wellspace Health. It is located in Sacramento, California. It was formerly known as The Effort. They offer treatment services for individuals with substance use and dual diagnosis disorders. They offer a sliding scale fee. MediCal, Medicare and Family PACT are accepted. This Center offers outpatient | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I arrived downtown and parked right out front. The waiting room was clean and .... empty. I had the place to myself and I was seen by a nurse within 15 minutes of arrival. Doctor Wilkes came in soon after, and was absolutely invested in finding solutions for my concerns. What a contrast to how I thought ny experience would be, based on some of these reviews. In any case, I hope people give this place a fair shot. They were the only clinic who would book an in- person appointment for me within days rather than months!

My first experience was lackluster and overall, I am not a fan of WellSpace. Long waits on the phone, referrals hat aren't even in their own network or covered by Partnership of CA and Medi-Cal. But, my experience at J Street Infectious disease clinic has been great. Dr. Ledermann and her staff have been really great, professional, attentive to detail and thorough. For those navigating infectious disease for the first time or tracking known disease, J Street clinic is a fine place to do so.
