Harmony Place set me on the path to saving my life. I was there for three months, 5 or 6 years ago. Wow, it s been that long! Mark, Lori and the whole staff provide an environment where true healing and discovery can take place. It is not a good experience at all, it is painful and uncomfortable and terrifying at times. And it s the best thing I ever did for myself. I struggled with a lifetime of mental health issues. At Harmony Place, I was finally able to identify the root causes (trauma) and developed life-saving tools that I use every day in my recovery. Thank you, Lori, Mark, Sam, and all who were there for me.

This is a place of healing and recovery from trauma. Every staff member is dedicated to the well-being of the client. I've done more work here than a lifetime of therapy and treatment. When you are ready to do the hard work and make your life worth living every day, Harmony is the place. Every therapist is the best at what they do. I cannot say enough about what Harmony Place means to me. This is truly the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Harmony was a great experience that helped me to better understand mental health challenges that were consuming me. The group settings and the one on one counseling , honed in on areas in my life that have kept me Stuck . Lori and Mark have such a diverse wealth of experience that they are able to coach you through the most difficult obstacles. They also have chosen a great staff that is empathetic and caring throughout your entire process. I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to find myself amidst many years of being lost.

Dr. Olsen is literally a godsend she's one of the best doctors I have ever had. I am so grateful for her. I've had so many terrible experiences with doctors dismissing me in the past but Dr. Olsen is so nice, understanding, and a good listener. We are so lucky to have her here. I am another Michael Johnson and my review is exactly opposite.I ve always had great care from my primary doctor, optometrist, lab, x-ray, PT,. All the doctors and assistants were friendly and helpful. Haven t had to go to Palo Alto too often because I was able to get referrals to local doctors except for cardiologist. Haven t had any problems getting appointments. Sometimes you have to hold on the phone for awhile but try later in the week. I m more than satisfied

This 5 star review is long overdue, and it goes out to Myrna Horton and everyone else in the business office at the Gourley outpatient clinic in Marina. They have always been there for me, especially Myrna, who has answered all of my questions and assisted me and many other veterans in an effort to help us in any way that she possibly can to the very best of her ability. Her dedication to helping veterans with their VA needs is evident in every interaction. Myrna Horton is a good person. The VA and all of us veterans are fortunate to have her. The VA is not just about doctors and nurses. Where would they be and where would we be without people like Myrna and all of the people in the business office? They owe me no thanks for my service. It's me that owes them a heartfelt thank you for their service to all veterans.

Janus Rehab Center has been a life-changing place for my close friend, and I can t say enough good things about the incredible care they received. My friend often talked about how much they appreciated the positive atmosphere and how the staff and other participants helped them feel part of a community. It was heartwarming to see them regain their confidence and discover their strength. Thanks to Janus, my friend is happier, healthier, and more hopeful than I ve seen them in years. I m beyond grateful for everything Janus has done for them. I don t often write reviews, but I can see how much this program helped them become the person they want to be in this life.

When a loved one made the brave decision to seek help, we were overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin. From our very first interaction with Janus, we knew we were in good hands. The team was not only highly skilled but also deeply empathetic, guiding us through every step with care and understanding. What truly set Janus apart was their focus on family involvement. They took the time to educate us, provide resources, and empower us to be part of the healing process. Their holistic approach made all the difference, creating a foundation of support that extended beyond just our loved one. Thanks to Janus, our family has found hope and healing we never thought possible. Alsana is located in Monterey, California. They provide outpatient eating disorder treatment services to adults aged 18 and above who want to create autonomy in their lives as it relates to their food addiction issues. This is not a drug rehab center, so if addiction is the primary concern, a treatment center for addiction may be necessary. Alsana
As a clinician I can highly recommend Alsana. This review is for the Alsana in Monterey, CA, however my review of their programing can be applied to the other locations as well. What really struck me about this program is the attention to each individual client and their intention to "bring as much of home" into the program as possible. The program highly focuses on clients relations( relation to self, to others, to their culture, their spirituality) and works at tailoring healing through the lens of these relationships. They also focus on healthy relation to movement, which I think is a really great aspect of the program. And in regards to the Monterey location, it is in such a beautiful spot. Just the access to nature can help support in recovery. I am often recommending Alsana to my clients, and wanted to leave this review as a recommendation for anyone looking!

Genesis House is an Excellent Recovery Center. It sits perched on a hill in Seaside overlooking the gorgeous Monterey Bay. They have very caring professional counselors who help navigate you toward a new start. One thing that is certain, you will get the tools you need but the key is to use them! One will get as much as one puts in. It could be easy to breeze thru this program but unless you are willing to delve in deep you won't get much out of it. The food is wonderful. The social model creates an atmosphere of team work. There aren't any dogmas or ideologies that are forced on one. It is a great place to launch your sobriety!
