About AA – Grupo Nuevo Amanecer
Participants in AA – Grupo Nuevo Amanecer work the steps, give back to their local meeting by being of service, obtain a sponsor, sponsor newcomers, learn about the traditions and principles outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, and attend meetings run by peers in recovery. Each person is responsible for his or her own recovery and is encouraged to attend meetings regularly. The program offers a community-based model of recovery that allows individuals to engage with others who are also dedicated to living a sober lifestyle. If a person decides to get additional support, they are encouraged to contact a professional and receive additional mental health or addiction services outside this program.
AA – Grupo Neuvo Amanecer does not take insurance. They are a free program. If a person wants to use insurance for any type of treatment, they are encouraged to first contact their insurance carrier because out of network benefits may vary from plan to plan.
