Where do I begin Before I came to Elevate I thought I had reached rock bottom in life but shortly after coming here I realized they saved me from ever getting there. I came for an alcohol addiction which became a secondary objective to my stay. I learned to love myself and gained confidence in being me. I found a way to finally be happy in life, in the current moment without contingencies. To know I was never broken and that I have more control over my perspective than I ever thought was possible. My sobriety came as a byproduct of discovering my own self worth and I often lay awake at night filled with gratitude for having the opportunity to go through this program. The amount of understanding and support offered to me was outstanding and I felt as if I was amongst family. The care and love from the staff inspires the clients to care for each other in the same fashion. If at any point you need a shoulder to lean on or just someone to listen, every face you see is there for you. I can t find the words to formulate a sentence that will truly express my thanks and love for Elevate. All I can do is let others know if your suffering and need the help, this is where you will find it.

I am so grateful for the founders and all the staff at Elevate. From the very first introduction to the incredible program they have to offer throughout the entire time my loved one spent there, we were kept informed and encouraged. The setting is lovely, the commitment to helping each person succeed and get thru the hard things and the amazing food they serve as a part of the healing process. I really can't say enough good things about this program, staff and facility. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless all of you and keep you going strong for many others to reclaim the lives they were meant to live!

Narconon literally saved my brother life. Saved him mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. Not to mention at the time I really wanted to straggle him ..It was impossible for me to get though to him. It was not an easy task but 6 month later, he came home clean. Yes he did stay and work there after he was done with the program and they treated him very well as an employee too. Now lately he's been the one helping my family thought some difficult financial times. I am sooo pround of him. There are so many positive story but its alway the few negative ones that get all the attention. To the people complaining about the cost of rehab.....they obviously over looked the cost of addition..My brother is the world to me and I have no regrets on sending him though this program ..I would highly recommend Narconon to anyone that is serious about sobriety!!!! Thank you, Narconon for bringing back my loving brother back to society where he belong....

Thank you for giving my loved one a second chance at being the best man he can be for his family. Your facility and staff surpassed all of our expectations. Every time I would call I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the line with a very detailed report of how he was doing. You can rest assured your loved one will be taken care of and you will have peace of mind that they are getting the best care possible. Before putting myself into a 30-Day Intensive Inpatient Program at Bright Future Recovery (BFR), I was a lost, hopeless soul addicted to alcohol. After 32 years of heavy, heavy drinking, I had finally hit my rock bottom, and I felt that I was quickly on my way to drinking myself to death. Upon arriving at BFR, I was greeted with open, caring and loving arms, and my path towards recovery from alcohol addiction began. BFR Staff--Darlene, Amanda, Larissa, Danae, "Mama D," Grammy, Papa, Chef Carlo, Mariah, Rachel, and I am sure I am forgetting a few names at the moment--all of them treated me like Family, and I came to look at them as Family. Each and every staff member played a critical role in my recovery program--a 10-day detox followed by a 20-day residential stay. The treatment center at 1000 Fairview Road in Hollister, CA, is a beautiful ranch style home in the middle of beautiful, rural Hollister. With fresh, clean air, rolling hills, mountain views, your path to recovery begins in a beautiful house with large rooms, plenty of natural sunlight coming through windows galore. The bedrooms, and living spaces are very roomy and comfortable, filled with comfy beds and furniture.I cannot say enough positive things about my time at BFR. 53 days sober now, thanks solely to the tools and resources I learned about at BFR, and now an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, I was once so lost, living in the deepest throws of alcoholism, once not wanting to wake up anymore, BFR helped me find my way. Thanks to Bright Future Recovery, I was lost, but now I am found.

I had been losing my battle with recovery for almost fifteen years when Wellness Retreat was recommended to me. I came here severely addicted and further traumatized by what I put myself and my family through. I needed a place where I would be treated with dignity, individually recognized for what has been ailing me and personally encouraged. This what I found here, and with a genuine compassion I have never seen or felt as an addict. There is an exceptional quality here, from checkng-in through medical treatment, group processing, education, abundance of nutrition, therapy excercise, wellness and technical assistance. With a maximum of five other clients to go through the recovery process with, the Directors of the program and even the CEO rolled up their sleeves personally caring for my recovery process. For the first time in my life since I was introduced to substances I don't hate life without them. It has been almost five months since I left wellness Retreat and I still go back on Monday afternoons to join the dance classes that gave me so much hope and happiness when I was feeling so low and dark in the beginning. This is more than a Rehab, this is a Wellness Center. If you want a life worth living without drugs and alcohol, start here.

Harmony Place set me on the path to saving my life. I was there for three months, 5 or 6 years ago. Wow, it s been that long! Mark, Lori and the whole staff provide an environment where true healing and discovery can take place. It is not a good experience at all, it is painful and uncomfortable and terrifying at times. And it s the best thing I ever did for myself. I struggled with a lifetime of mental health issues. At Harmony Place, I was finally able to identify the root causes (trauma) and developed life-saving tools that I use every day in my recovery. Thank you, Lori, Mark, Sam, and all who were there for me.

This is a place of healing and recovery from trauma. Every staff member is dedicated to the well-being of the client. I've done more work here than a lifetime of therapy and treatment. When you are ready to do the hard work and make your life worth living every day, Harmony is the place. Every therapist is the best at what they do. I cannot say enough about what Harmony Place means to me. This is truly the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Using the VA hospital system in any city, state is not the same. I had to move around to couch surf and homeless for over ten years ending up in states between California and Florida including Washington and Utah. I have had to restart everything over every time I moved and I learned a few things over those 10 years about doctor appointments and different appointments for eyes and blood work so let me begin by saying that if you show up at 10 am and it's not busy or 1 pm and it's a mad house, either way just tell them that you are using the VA transportation and you are on a scheduled pickup and they usually move you through pretty quickly.I can't say it's foolproof but it's a little bit of an edge for those complaining about long waiting for blood work. Just remember, don't set the bar too high of expectation, you get what you pay for, and if you don't like the VA then just pay for private health care.Oh, they get complaints but nothing like the VA hospital system.

I am another Michael Johnson and my review is exactly opposite.I ve always had great care from my primary doctor, optometrist, lab, x-ray, PT,. All the doctors and assistants were friendly and helpful. Haven t had to go to Palo Alto too often because I was able to get referrals to local doctors except for cardiologist. Haven t had any problems getting appointments. Sometimes you have to hold on the phone for awhile but try later in the week. I m more than satisfied

This 5 star review is long overdue, and it goes out to Myrna Horton and everyone else in the business office at the Gourley outpatient clinic in Marina. They have always been there for me, especially Myrna, who has answered all of my questions and assisted me and many other veterans in an effort to help us in any way that she possibly can to the very best of her ability. Her dedication to helping veterans with their VA needs is evident in every interaction. Myrna Horton is a good person. The VA and all of us veterans are fortunate to have her. The VA is not just about doctors and nurses. Where would they be and where would we be without people like Myrna and all of the people in the business office? They owe me no thanks for my service. It's me that owes them a heartfelt thank you for their service to all veterans.

I can t speak for inpatient, but outpatient truly saved my life.I admitted into the SJBH Outpatient (PHP/IOP) program in September of 2024. The typical length of stay for this program is around 8 weeks, but unlike other programs I ve been in, they re not in a rush to get you out, they want you to get help and get back on your feet. The staff in the Outpatient Department truly cares about their patients well being. There are several psycho education groups throughout the day to teach coping skills and when and how to apply them to day to day events, you see a psychiatrist either once a week (PHP) or every other week (IOP), and have availability to meet with a therapist in case of a crisis.I came into this program after being inpatient at another hospital and was referred to SJBH. I truly don t think that I would be where I am today without the help of the outpatient team. Thank you Navi, Nashin, Krystal, My An, Calvin, Lexy, Shanon and Christina, and Dr Serna for helping me get my life back in my control. I will five ever be grateful for you all!

Janus Rehab Center has been a life-changing place for my close friend, and I can t say enough good things about the incredible care they received. My friend often talked about how much they appreciated the positive atmosphere and how the staff and other participants helped them feel part of a community. It was heartwarming to see them regain their confidence and discover their strength. Thanks to Janus, my friend is happier, healthier, and more hopeful than I ve seen them in years. I m beyond grateful for everything Janus has done for them. I don t often write reviews, but I can see how much this program helped them become the person they want to be in this life.

Alsana is located in Monterey, California. They provide outpatient eating disorder treatment services to adults aged 18 and above who want to create autonomy in their lives as it relates to their food addiction issues. This is not a drug rehab center, so if addiction is the primary concern, a treatment center for addiction may be necessary. Alsana
As a clinician I can highly recommend Alsana. This review is for the Alsana in Monterey, CA, however my review of their programing can be applied to the other locations as well. What really struck me about this program is the attention to each individual client and their intention to "bring as much of home" into the program as possible. The program highly focuses on clients relations( relation to self, to others, to their culture, their spirituality) and works at tailoring healing through the lens of these relationships. They also focus on healthy relation to movement, which I think is a really great aspect of the program. And in regards to the Monterey location, it is in such a beautiful spot. Just the access to nature can help support in recovery. I am often recommending Alsana to my clients, and wanted to leave this review as a recommendation for anyone looking!

Genesis House is an Excellent Recovery Center. It sits perched on a hill in Seaside overlooking the gorgeous Monterey Bay. They have very caring professional counselors who help navigate you toward a new start. One thing that is certain, you will get the tools you need but the key is to use them! One will get as much as one puts in. It could be easy to breeze thru this program but unless you are willing to delve in deep you won't get much out of it. The food is wonderful. The social model creates an atmosphere of team work. There aren't any dogmas or ideologies that are forced on one. It is a great place to launch your sobriety!

I had a serious mental health crisis a couple of years ago and needed help putting the pieces back together. I found it in Embodied Recovery, as well as understanding, support and a safe, therapeutic environment where I could to begin to sift through the emotional fallout. The holistic approach and unique blend of programming that Mike and Greg have so lovingly curated was instrumental in setting me down on a path to recovery. Happily, I still engage with them and my cohorts (now friends) that I met during my time there. I will always be grateful to them, I needed a safe place to land and they provided that and so much more.

I came to Bodhi two years ago seeking support for a marijuana and alcohol addiction. I have received so much help and value from this heartfelt and professional team. The multi modalities they offer and the care they extend to each person that comes in is amazing, and something I have witnessed over and over. Not only do you get the really thoughtful and richly designed program, they offer free ongoing group therapy twice a week.
