The Truth 3 months ago I think this is a wonderful rehab, the facilities are beautiful, the food is amazing (I have never even had food this good at a restaurant), and above all they have really helped my husband. Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! This rehab helped him so much he actually chose to stay LONGER, and I am for once excited for what the future can bring. My body was failing and mental state was terrible. Every part of the program touches on every aspect of the addicts life. All staff had my best interest in mind: from dealing with addiction, to personal issues, and a listening ear. The staff is also so very approachable and genuine. I look for reasons to go back to see them as often as I can just to say hello as they helped me save my life. The house is very nice and comfortable. As a resident you have space to meditate, read, or relax. Also have very sufficient space for residents to mingle and build friendships. I came here severely addicted and further traumatized by what I put myself and my family through. I needed a place where I would be treated with dignity, individually recognized for what has been ailing me and personally encouraged. This what I found here, and with a genuine compassion I have never seen or felt as an addict. There is an exceptional quality here, from checkng-in through medical treatment, group processing, education, abundance of nutrition, therapy excercise, wellness and technical assistance. With a maximum of five other clients to go through the recovery process with, the Directors of the program and even the CEO rolled up their sleeves personally caring for my recovery process. For the first time in my life since I was introduced to substances I don't hate life without them. It has been almost five months since I left wellness Retreat and I still go back on Monday afternoons to join the dance classes that gave me so much hope and happiness when I was feeling so low and dark in the beginning. It has honestly changed my life. I was in such a bad place I didn't think anything would help. The staff are wonderful, caring, understanding and respectful to your individual needs. I was scared of doing group therapy but it was probably the best part. My therapist Hayden was cunningly brilliant. I don't have much to compare to but I'd go out on a limb and say it's what you can only hope for in a patient therapist connection. Hayden helped me through some pretty deep trauma with compassion and caring but also that little push when needed. The only complaint I have is I can't continue with him as an outpatient therapist because he's honestly brilliant at what he does. All of the other therapist are exactly the same during group therapy. Although different styles they were just as compassionate and caring as Hayden. I generally don't write reviews for things but it would be a travesty not to for Harmony Place. I'll never forget what this program has done for me and can't thank every staff member and therapist enough for the help they have given me. Not only that but I have made bonds and what I can see as lifelong friendships with the other clients I met in program. I would recommend Harmony to anyone having issues and in need of help.
