The staff is amazing, kind, and caring. Because they all have come from a history of addiction they are better to understand what your needs are and how they can help get you comfortable and healthy again. This is a clean, safe place to come detox and reset. This place saved my life multiple times and I appreciate everyone there helping me get back up again. Thank you.❤️

The IOP program for this place is just terrible. During the group session we had 3 different therapists take over which seems too much to get any effective work done when the group is constantly rotating the therapist. I only went one time and I can tell right away that the therapists didn't care at all for the people in the group, they were just going through the motions. They were constantly on their phone and laptop and were very disengaged the whole time. One therapist was extremely passive aggressive with me which I thought was hilarious because we just got done talking about effective communication 😆 Just don't bother with this place. I recommend API if you want a program that works and people who actually care.

Liberty House was an absolutely amazing experience for me, unfortunately I only stayed through the detox period but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to stay the 30 days or more. The staff is amazing, caring, and extremely helpful. I went in nervous and scared but they made me feel at home. A great experience and I will forever be grateful to staff at the Liberty House !

I came here for recovery and detox after some traumatic events occurred for my very first admission. This place is fantastic. All my needs were met and not once did I fear for my life. Here you are in good hands with the ever so kind, hardworking, and diligent staff. The home you stay in has individual rooms which is a HUGE plus being that you get your own privacy. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the rules that are in set in place are for your own personal safety. You will have freedom to explore the beautiful property here in San Diego and even get out and explore some of the beautiful attractions around the area multiple times during the week. On top of the medical expertise, delicious food, and the fantastic staff. You will also receive the best therapy one can possibly hope for. You will leave here with all the tools needed to continue a beautiful life of sobriety. 10/10 recommend. Please do come and see it through. You won't regret it :)

My first experience with R&R was when the staff picked me up from a hotel in Lancaster, California hundreds of miles away, when I was drunk, high, and at rock bottom. Immediately I saw the compassion and level of care that I would have the pleasure to experience over several months. I went through their entire program, starting in detox and then to sober living, it was the best decision i've made in my entire life. The compassionate and caring sessions I had with Dave, Cliff, and Andrew gave me insight to what was happening in my life and gave me the tools I needed to support myself in the future. I also had the pleasure to live with 10 fantanstic individuals with the singular goal of being sober. I could write paragraphs on the benefits of coming here but i'll keep it simple, they truly saved my life and i'm still sober. I thank god that I came into contact with R&R, and I pray they have the opportunity to help you too.

If i could sum up my experience at this program it would be, life changing. The way you build relationships with staff, your counselors and therapist is unlike any other recovery i’ve been to. I was there a little under 6 months and I now have a new family. The support and love they have for clients is amazing. They truly care about you, your family, and your goals you set to achieve. I highly recommend anyone who’s looking to maintain sobriety to stay here and complete the program. It saved my life.

The people that make up the team at Brightquest are some of the most compassionate, patient and caring people you’ll come across. Simon in admissions takes the time to understand what’s going on with your loved one and how to get them from point A to point B. He really cares and takes the time to understand the whole picture. Overall, Brightquest seems to have the potential to be a beautiful place if you make it one and if all those involved (parent, client, referrant, etc) fall under-- to each's own capacity-- a conjoined understanding of what enrolling into the facility truly entails before onboarding. Top of the Line professionals in terms of medical, psychiatric, directorial staff, and coordinators. In the San Diego office, administrative advision and onboarding facilitators seemed to be - at a minimum - understaffed, underprepared, rushed... disjointed, disoriented - retaining inconsistent speech and tonal behaviors. First day, as most everyone will tell you, is definitely whiplashy; so be prepared. Most, if not all therapists are pretty fantastic, though there's a healthy sprinkling that will likely benefit from more seasoning or better balance when it comes to working with the clientele that comes through the facility--especially considering the severity of what Brightquest's treatment plans offer. Resolution could see steps towards improvement with a simple forum on situational and environmental threats, could addtly. benefit from the inclusion of more proactive superiors. (aside from weekly staff meetings which seem to not be too productive, I really just believe there should be a massive overhaul/addition to supervising faculty, or an increase in physical foot traction of prior mentioned superiors, wherever they're holding these mystery figures. Yes, it is true from what I've read in other reviews that plenty key players are conveniently often on vacation. Website also needs an update.) I definitely think that clients should have a say in who they work with throughout their time in treatment, if afforded the luxury-- e.g. building or altering their own teams. The option of choice and communication does so much for clients in a space with inconsistent, often seemingly unclear boundaries and assistance. Also, on the DEI note, not very accommodating in terms of practicing religion. Last and certainly MOST important. If at this point you have any retainer hesitations-- great resources, work study programming, activities, group sessions, and residential function is a very intelligent, strategic layout. Each individual playing a hand in house management, whether that be house managers themselves, night staff, or especially nurse Theresa (who is working 24/7!) are diamonds in the rough of it all. At the end of a long day, throughout any level, at Brightquest (with the right treatment and mentality) you can fall on the network you've built for yourself within the community there. I truly do hope to see the team at BQ San Diego weed out some of the bad parts, as there is so much light and an outpouring of love and friendship in the work done there.

We transferred my father to this treatment center and I was absolutely impressed with the amount of detail and time they put into getting to know him and all the issues he is having. I was a client in the Clark Center back in 2010..This places was amazing! School was good and made it easy for kids like myself. Went on field trips during school hours to places like camp coranado and Balboa park, even had a flag football team that played against other flag fb teams around the county. At the Clark center, 4 favorite staff that I remember, also not sure if they still work there, but they genuinely cared about the job and kids they worked with. Mr. O, Mr. Alex, and Mr. Dan and Ms. Tina...Mr. O would wake the unit up every morning for Breakfast and school playing a specific humorous song(forgot it)...I forgot to mention the therapeutic drum program offered at the school and I think it was called Blues Tuesday, where anyone could go up on the stage and perform something musical...This places is one of the few Children's Youth programs in this state that I would recommend

This place WILL violate all of your rights and lie to you. Avoid Dr Vicky McPherson AT ALL COSTS. She is unethical and abusive. She has no moral compass. Clinician Tiyana Benitez will lie to you to try and get you into the hospital where they lock you up against your will. I had been told I could talk to a therapist and walk out whenever I wanted. Once into the building, they trapped me and locked me up against my rights and will. The place is inhumane with no appropriate living conditions. The staff will ignore, abuse, and humiliate you like they are all power tripping. I WARN YOU TO NEVER ENTER THIS HOSPITAL. They operate illegally and corruptly. They do not care for their patients. They will treat you like an animal.

This is a beautiful home located next to Golden Hill Park. We would walk every morning through the Park on a Spiritual Walk. I spent my time doing a prayer walk, and feeling so close to my HP. The Staff here are the best I’ve ever encountered. They are patient and kind, loving & tolerant. Most of them have had some kind of addiction, and understand through experience what we are going through. Although we were told “NO” at times, they do this to prepare us for life. I may have been upset, but after processing it, I could understand. The Therapist there are top notch, and my hats off to mine, Miss Pricilla. She was able to help me tear down the wall of my emotions, and help me to cry. To helped me see why I turned to alcohol. The Counselor’s are also great at their positions. Miss Catalina is such a good roll model. Helping to look towards my future, with such grace, and clarity. Preparing me for my life ahead. If you want to get sober, TP is for you. A satisfied Alcoholic.

I don't have words to describe what this place and what the people in it mean to me. Entering this facility has literally been not only one of the most eye opening and wonderful places i have ever been but also has helped me realize and experience what it takes to not only become a responsible and motivated adult but also become a loving kind and RESPONSIBLE son to a mother who only knew heartache and had nowhere else to turn. (My mom would laugh if she read this...) These people are 1000000% REAL, would give the shirt off their backs for you and will ALWAYS be family to me. I have dual diagnosis bp type 1 etc, and I have worked through ups, the downs and everything in between but the difference is this time i had the best support system i could have ever asked for!!!!!!! To the staff that works day and night to make sure I'm safe and treated with respect and showed me love even when i couldn't love myself... thank you. From the deepest part of my heart ❤. For those with no idea where to go next, or worried about a loved one, if you want to change your life for the better... I was in the same spot. The thing is... A new beginning is only A call away. Confidential Recovery Addiction Center has been a life-changing resource. The staff is not only professional and knowledgeable but also genuinely compassionate. My experience with CRP has been incredibly positive. The program focuses on recovery, mental health, and building healthier relationships, and it provided a safe, supportive space where I could open up without feeling pressured or judged. One of the biggest personal shifts I noticed was my ability to be more honest and vulnerable in a group setting—something I had struggled with before. CRP offers flexibility in both duration and format, with options for in-person or virtual participation. The hours are very manageable, which made it easier to stay committed. What stood out to me most was the warmth and genuine care shown by the staff. I never once felt like just another name on a list—they continued to check in with me even after I completed the program. I would absolutely recommend CRP to anyone who is looking to better understand themselves, break out of negative thought patterns, or simply feel less alone. It encourages meaningful self-reflection and the sharing of experiences, which not only helps in healing but also in connecting with others who are going through similar struggles. It’s a place where real change can begin.

Choosing Confidential Recovery was one of the best decisions I've ever made. When I came to them, I was struggling significantly with alcohol, and my life felt completely off track. Thanks to their incredible support and guidance, I've not only stopped drinking, but I've also re-established healthy routines that I thought were long gone. The team at Confidential Recovery quickly helped me get back on track with my medication, which was crucial for my overall well-being. They also motivated me to start working out again and even get back into playing sports, both of which have been incredibly beneficial for my physical and mental health. On top of that, they provided excellent resources and encouragement to help me develop better eating habits and improve my brain health and function. I'm so grateful for the comprehensive and compassionate care I received. Confidential Recovery truly understands how to help individuals reclaim their lives, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking to overcome addiction and build a healthier future.

This is the chemical dependancy (CD) & psychiatric clinic for Kasier memeber. For CD they offer a wide range of services and support for people suffering from the disease of addiction. This includes referals to detox, in-patient treatment, social programs, and out-patient program (Intesive OP programs are also available). These are both available in building 'B' of the complex. They also have a pharmacy in building 'A' If you have a dual diagnosis or psychiatric issues there are, again, pethora of resouces for your specific needs. This is a really good clinic but unfortunately is underfunded and have more cases than they can really properly process. But still by far the KP clinic in southern California. CD is on the first floor and psychiatry is on the second floor. They share information internally with each other in the case of dual diagnosis or CD related issues steming from psychiatric medication. Personal opinion: I know this seems assbackwards or ironic but that's due to all the great people who make these drugs in the first place :)

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program, located in San Diego, California, offers partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for adolescents and children ages 11-19 in need of mental health care. Services include eating disorder treatment, a specialized program for adolescent students, and holistic treatment options.
Before starting this IOP program, I was in a dark place. A choking incident with food left me with debilitating anxiety, daily panic attacks, and intrusive thoughts that made it impossible to show up in my life. I had to reduce my work hours and felt completely stuck. This program gave me exactly what I needed—tangible skills from CBT, ACT, and DBT, individual therapy, and group support. It wasn’t easy to accept that I needed this level of care, and progress wasn’t always linear, but it was so worth it. On the hardest days, knowing I had a team and group members who truly listened made all the difference. I put in the work, and over time, I saw the shifts. Small at first, but they added up. Anxiety doesn't rule my life anymore and I'm able to show up in my life the way I want to

Casa Capri is a beautiful place to get sober, with an incredible staff that really cares. Eating disorders and trauma can sometimes be driving forces behind addiction and alcoholism in women, and Casa Capri's program really addresses those things to help get at the root. As a sober woman, I trust Casa Capri's team to bring sobriety and recovery to their clients.

I cannot say enough good things about the maternity ward at Scripps mercy hospital. We just welcomed our baby boy, Adam, and the level of care we received was outstanding. The nurses were so supportive of my wife during labor and recovery, and the doctors made us feel safe the entire time. Thank you for helping us start our family on such a positive note

**Veterans, Please Read Before Considering Bright Quest San Diego** I am currently a patient at Bright Quest San Diego and the first admitted under a VA Community Care referral. I feel it is important to share my ongoing experience, particularly for other veterans considering this facility. **1. Violations of Basic Patient Rights and Freedom:** Bright Quest claims to uphold certain personal rights for clients, as per California regulations. However, I was told I could not possess or control my own money, a clear violation of my rights. This is explicitly stated in their policy on the wall, which says clients have the right to manage their own cash resources. Despite this, when I requested my credit and debit cards back, they refused. It wasn’t until I filed a formal complaint with an outside patient advocate that my cards were returned. This experience made me feel trapped, and I do not believe the facility is respecting basic patient freedoms. **2. Financial and Medication Mismanagement:** Bright Quest operates a financial system called "True Link," which controls clients' money. This system seems to work for people whose families manage their finances but is impractical for those, like myself, who are self-sufficient. I had to request my own funds weekly and was not informed about how or when withdrawals were being made from my accounts. After a month of asking, I was told I would receive a bill, which is not transparent and undermines financial independence. Additionally, there were several serious issues with my medications: - I was told I had to pay out of pocket for my Adderall prescription because the facility couldn’t transfer it from the VA. - They ran out of my Vilazodone (a mood stabilizer) and didn’t order it in time, forcing them to go to a local pharmacy to pick it up. This caused me to be told I would have to pay out of pocket again. - My muscle relaxer prescription ran out and wasn’t reordered for days, leading to unnecessary delays. - They also refused to provide Excedrin for my migraines, suggesting I go to the emergency room instead. **3. Unlawful $2,000 Service Animal Deposit:** Bright Quest required a $2,000 deposit for my service animal, which was clearly outlined in their *Policy for Service Animals* document. The policy listed this deposit as a “damages deposit” for any potential harm caused by my dog. After confirming with the ADA that this charge was not legally required, I requested my deposit back. However, they insisted it was just a "damages deposit," despite the document clearly labeling it as a "service animal deposit." This inconsistency with their own policy raises serious concerns. **4. Freedom to Leave the Facility:** I was also told this was an "open door" facility where I could leave whenever I chose. However, when I decided to leave at one point, I requested my belongings and was only given some of them—not even my money. They also threatened to call the police and report me as a missing person, which is extremely alarming, especially as someone with a history of police trauma. This made me feel extremely unsafe and trapped. **5. Doctor Change Requests Denied:** I have asked for a doctor change multiple times, which is my legal right under patient rights laws (including *Title 42, U.S.C. Section 1395cc*), but my requests have been denied without explanation. --- **Conclusion:** I want to stress that while I understand the True Link system may work for private-pay clients who rely on family support, it doesn’t work for someone like me who manages their own finances. It seems Bright Quest was unprepared to handle patients with insurance, and the lack of assessment before opening to insured clients is problematic. These issues have made my experience at Bright Quest extremely difficult, and I feel my rights have not been respected. I plan to continue updating this review as my situation progresses. I hope this information helps other veterans make an informed decision when considering Bright Quest San Diego.

I was admitted here at the beginning of October for hallucinations due to my severe insomnia (13 days of no sleep) I was treated by a nurse i believe? Her name is Amber.
