There is no better dual diagnoses program than what is provided here. I turned to this vervet when I dig myself into bedrock and ready to drill even further. I had no hope for help, but so dying as I was, I gave life one more chance.
I was seen immediately and had a treatment plan developed that suited my needs and interests rather than some prescribed formula. The only challenge I faced was the motivation to show up. After a short amount of time, there was nowhere else I wanted to be than the clinic.
The sessions taught me how to develop emotional intelligence, get services I needed to thrive, and get my life where I wanted it. Working on myself became a wonderful and fun journey rather than just something to appease my family.
Over time, my mental health began to stabilize, I found sobriety, and I engaged with my spiritual parts. Today, I have been reintegrated with my wife, children, and employment. Everything I was willing to sacrifice for my selfishness became nothing compared to what I got from sobriety. I will forever be thankful for MHS. Without them, I would either be in jail, an institution, or a cemetery.

I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. I finally feel like I have my dad back and could not be more thankful for the staff and everyone else included, truly. I HIGHLY recommend this place for someone and/or a family member struggling with addiction.

I’ve been with Serenity Springs Recovery (FKA ACTION Central) since August 14th, 2023. I have found the most success in living life with the help from all the staff I work with, which is a lot. PHONES: Several hours of personal phone time permitted only for long-term - no phones in detox.
STAFF: Mostly Care. They (mostly) do not use discretion to abuse clients according to individual and absurd standards.
FOOD 1: Outside food not allowed in intake. Soda/Snack Vending machines available = Bring Cash.
FOOD 2: Meals are not locked into a weekly/daily routine, they do entertain variation, however: Breakfasts are sugary though do include fruit; Vegetarian Diets, Breads and Pastas are made from refined white wheat flour; Salad is always available alongside dinner.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Small Gym available - Mostly weight lifting. Often Crowded/Limited equipment.
ASPRIN/ACETAMEN./IBUPROF.: Headaches, Recovering from workout, you're more likely to access any over the counter pain meds if they're in your property.
TOWELS: Reception says they allow you to bring one, Intake does not allow your towels no matter how tiny theirs are.
LAUNDRY: 2 days a week, 1st come 1st serve, detergent is provided.
CAFFEINE: Certain times of the day, limited lightweight coffee's available for free. It's recommended clients bring Sealed Coffee, (Unopened)Tea (Bags), Sealed Dry Coffee Creamer, and/or Individual or Sealed powder beverages.
CIGARETTES: If you cigg = 9 scheduled group smoke breaks = Half-pack/day = bring ciggs/cash (other clients often provide low-brands @ cost)

I never felt wanted. I stayed a year and then left. I can tell that several of the people there didn't like me. One of the people saw me as an angry person and the worst thing that can happen to a client is to be seen as someone negative and not nice to be around. Last thing I wanted to be was that so I left. Let them have their nice place without me.

This place has INCREDIBLE psychotherapists!! I don't know what that one guy is talking about, this is a therapy center, not a detox... What the heck. I HIGHLY recommend you give this place a shot if you are seeking outpatient therapy. There's no commitment, pay as you receive sessions, and the Dr.'s here are brilliant and understanding, including Dr. Horvath, the FOUNDER of SMART Recovery.
Schedule a session. Try a couple different therapists. You will not be let down. I have had addiction issues for over 10 years and have never made so much progress as I did here.

Everyone working there has advanced degrees and are well educated and well trained. They really emphasize the value of (self-) knowledge and utilizing those things which are helpful and productive. I didn’t feel lost in the shuffle or have my individuality trivialized as has been the case in other addiction programs which were based on 12 step theology. Another good quality is the professionalism of those who work there, whereas in other treatment centers which were solely 12 step based the minimal qualifications needed to be employed included having an addiction of one’s own and having served time in prison. It is outpatient so in that way differs from an inpatient facility, but they truly do care about you. My sole concern was my medication being called in to the pharmacy being the incorrect dosages, some of which really affect things like in the case of tapering off something, etc.

True life center was an overwhelmingly positive transformative experience for me. It greatly helped my well being. 2 years after going I have thrived.The staff is excellent professiona, knowledgeablel and kind and the other customers of the center while I was there were genuine and kind people. I don't usually go to meetings but have been sober for 6 years. But I always have respect for the good meetings, and this one is one of the best. Floyd is awesome. I don't speak, but my best friend used to go here when he lived here and id come to support. Good place for suy. Might find myself,by myself going since I deal with chronic pain and have been on meds for a long time and the docs think I just need to deal, which isn't possible,so I have been struggling with not finding another way to self medicated. I don't use or drink except for what is prescribed for management, but since the taper I am losing my life to be able to do the things I love. Very difficult time.
