I find this place helpful and am glad I was introduced to the program. I stayed at the transitional living also. I'm greatful for them. My only complaint is I was kicked out of transitional living because I refused to come back without my friend that ran to relapse. This caused me to break curfew by 5 hours. I was successful in my attempt to save her life. I'm not entitled to be there and would make the same decision every single time. Despite what they teach and claim to stand for my effort following those ideologies was met with hostility. I find the decision to be petty and technical showing no compassion. I have no regrets in my decision and hope they can live with theirs knowing exactly what happened and why. However I would recommend them any day of the week there are some really good people there. I find the all of the staff to be willing to make sure that you are assisted and have the appointments you need, etc. My sign up was easy and everything with court coordination has been fluid! All of the people in my groups are great and the atmosphere allows for sharing and vulnerability. I haven’t experienced any judgement from any one here from the staff or fellow clients! Everyone on staff was kind, patient and empathetic. We had a family member stay there and The Lakes changed her life and our lives for the better. Not only did they provide her with help she sorely needed but they provide the tools needed to ensure success after as well with a more 'dual diagnostics' approach which I found VERY effective. Now with life after The Lakes, she made friends with other guests there and has established a great support group. The Lakes approach encourages guests to develop friendships that people can carry after they leave. I've seen other treatment centers and this is not your 'typical' treatment center. This one has a much more 'family' oriented approach that will help you on multiple levels. So THANK YOU to all the staff there... I feel like we got a new lease on life and we are super grateful for all your help. (Also... the food was excellent so kudos to the kitchen staff too) You just don't get that 'family vibe' anywhere else for a place like this and that's a key component to The Lakes success. Thanks to this amazing treatment center, I’ve been in recovery for over three years now. This location is absolutely beautiful and feels luxurious! I was a client at the Fair Oaks location, but at the time the Loomis location (this location) was co-ed, and we often got to come here for group sessions, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and even to swim in their beautiful pool. The staff was always extremely welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. You could feel that they genuinely cared about us clients, our long-term recovery, and our experience while we were under their care, no matter which site we were at. The combination of individual therapy and counseling, group sessions, and experiential activities creates an environment where real change is possible while also allowing clients to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the facility, which makes being away from home a little easier. The Director Mellisa is fabulous and truly does do everything within her ability to help patients on every level, Margo is the angel that works at the reception window she is knowledgeable kind and respectful Always to all the patients that come in. But my absolute favorite is my counselor Shay she is fabulous, she is always open to listening and guiding and helping as much as she can, and I truly feel she has my best interest and recovery at the forefront I never feel rushed or like I’m a burden and she is incredibly relatable and nonjudgmental which is huge when your trying to be honest with yourself and them about your recovery, your everyday life struggles and everything else that contributes to success when in recovery! But a big shout out to all the dispensing nurses also they have to put up with a lot sometimes and they stay focused and determined to get everyone dosed in a timely manner!
