I truly could not have made it this far and could not have been as confident as I am currently in myself and my recovery if it weren't for the time and dedication in which they put in to ensure my stay here went as smooth as possible. The assignments they give are all engaging and make you dive deep interpersonally, spiritually, mentally, and the like to emphasize what you need to grow and work on during your journey to sobriety, and for that I am so thankful. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Jared, Evan, and Jodi Wagner for the incredible support they provided to my girlfriend during her time at Oro House Recovery. Our relationship was in a tough spot, and I felt helpless as she struggled with her challenges.
When we reached out to Oro House, they immediately offered her the comfort and care she needed to begin her journey to recovery. The staff was compassionate and understanding, guiding her through the detox process and ensuring she felt safe every step of the way. She committed to a 30-day program, and I can honestly say it has changed her life—and ours—for the better.
Now, my girlfriend is home, living a life filled with purpose and hope. I can't thank Oro House Recovery enough for helping us rebuild our relationship and giving me my girlfriend back. Their dedication and support made all the difference, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of help. Thank you, Oro!

I walked into Oro House feeling hopeless and lost, but I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made to check in to this amazing facility. I had hit rock bottom, struggling with substance use and feeling completely isolated from my family and loved ones. I was skeptical about the 12-step program, thinking it wasn't for me, but the moment I stepped through the doors, everything changed.
From the very first interaction, the staff was incredibly supportive and made me feel at ease. The admission process was challenging, but the team was so compassionate and understanding, it gave me a sense of relief. They quickly got me into detox at Barrington, where I received not only comfort but also support from fellow clients who reassured me that this transition would be life-changing.
The staff went above and beyond. Jodi Wagner was a true angel, ensuring I felt safe and comfortable. Jared and Evan were also instrumental in my journey, always available to talk, day or night. The 24/7 support made a world of difference during those tough moments.
After a few days in detox, I began group sessions that allowed me to process my emotions and feelings. Jason, a certified therapist, created a safe space for me to open up in ways I never thought possible. My assigned therapist, Maxine, took the time to get to know me without pushing me too hard. She always checked in on me, which made me feel valued and cared for.
Once detox was complete, I was able to go offsite with the staff, who helped me establish a routine filled with healthy activities. I loved that it was dog-friendly, allowing me to have my little companion by my side as I worked on my recovery. They also offered family therapy, and while my family wasn’t ready initially, they started to come around when they saw my commitment to sobriety.
David, another facilitator, helped shift my mindset toward the positives of living sober. I’m now 60 days clean, and I can’t express how grateful I am for the support and guidance I received at Oro House. The medication regimen provided by the psychiatrist has been fantastic, and the sense of community is truly special. They cater to all spiritual preferences, taking us to church and AA meetings, and even organizing fun activities like movie nights to show us how to enjoy life sober.
The chef deserves a shoutout too! I came in malnourished with dietary restrictions, and the chef accommodated all my needs, helping me regain my health.
Oro House has given me a sense of peace and hope that I never thought I would find again. I can't thank them enough for being the starting point of my journey to a fulfilling life. If you’re struggling, I highly recommend seeking help here. You won’t regret it!

California is ranked 23rd nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,654.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in California vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in California. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in California that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in California.
