Michael’s House changed my life in matter of weeks. I did things that I never have thought I could and hearing from family members as much of a glow they see within me. I know at times I struggled tremendously with doubting myself but knowing the strong support system I had with the team members kept me afloat. Striving to do better and not giving up was something I look forward to everyday that I experienced with Micheal’s House. They gave me the push I have been needing my whole life and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to be apart of there program as I continue onto my journey of sobriety. First off I came back here for a reason, I initially came to Michael’s House in April on 22. Obviously I didn’t listen to their recommendations and tried it my way. This time around I was lucky they even took me being that I was on 200mg of methadone. But they had the knowledge and means to detox me safely! I was scared but the whole staff At inpatient to IOP to TLC was exemplary in their approach to help me. I could not have done it with out them, thank you to everyone that helped me on my journey, to many names to name!! I will forever hold Michael’s house deep in my heart! I love this place like home! William!!

I've had a few stints with rehab and none even skinned the surface of what I learned here. Located on a beautiful property in the foothills of Murrieta, with in house groups led by instructors that break it down so in depth. My perspective had a total shift and I can honestly say I owe my life and the promise of a new future to this facility and it's faculty. If you're willing to do the work this is the place to get into your core issues and help you recover from the lifestyle and vices that one is addicted to. I recommend this place to anyone who wants something different from life. DBT, CBT, recovery education, family therapy are just a few of the groups and The program director and Clinical director hand picked a team that is progressive, informed, patient, caring and passionate about what they do. I encourage anyone who's seeking treatment to look into this program I first hand watched others and had my life transformed.

I LOVE the help the Rancho Creek out patient has given me!!! I needed something to continue in my sobriety. I didn’t know it at the time but THIS IS THE PLACE that made it possible for me!!!!! Thanks to the amazing continued guidance and positive structure I received from Vanessa and Dereck my sobriety has been possible and enjoyable!!! What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery: They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollment PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you'll be arriving, how you'll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly). UPON ARRIVAL: You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You'll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed. ONCE SETTLED IN: There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You'll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can "graze" in making snacks/meals as needed. DEPARTING: A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. A pick-up time will be scheduled, all itemized inventory reviewed with sign-off. an IOP Intensive Outpatient Program will be offered through RCR Ranch Creek Recovery and/or a plan for after care reviewed. NOTES: Phone use allowed 1 hour a day at night after dinner, following a 7 day blackout period. Group sessions can be "boring" lots of downtime, lots of staff turnover. There are two houses BASS & DORRIEN. Bass is the main property and where groups are held. Sleeps 6 residents. There are 3 private bedrooms each with a queen bed (one has it's own bathroom, the other 2 share a bathroom), and 1 oversized bedroom with 3 queen beds, another full bathroom by the living room. big screen smart tv, L-shaped old sofa [over-due to be replaced], matching captains chair with footrest [also ready to be replaced], eloquent dining room (dedicated as an art space), enormous dream kitchen with separate pantry room, food shopping is done once a week with a list (residents responsible to cook their own meals), Pool Table, Ping Pong,, Pool (ICE COLD), Jacuzzi (turned on Friday night only, no lights), garage with some gym equipment (you can use during free time), and a large sunny well maintained backyard is accessible. Dorrien is the "overflow" smaller secondary house about 10 minutes away. Also sleeps 6 total. 1 large bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 master with a queen bed which shares a jack-and-jill bathroom. TV, living room, hot tub. DAILY ITENTERARY: This is where it gets a bit "grey space" .... There is a plan on paper (somewhere) and then there is reality. PAPER PLAN *I could be slightly off, as no schedule was provided wake up 7am-7:30am breakfast 8am-9am 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm group lunch 12pm-1pm daily dinner 5pm-6pm daily free time 6pm-10pm Tuesday = Sound Therapy (AMAZING) Wednesday = Yoga (BEGINNER) Thursday = Fitness Training (NOPE) Friday = Educational Rehabilitation Movie & Horse Therapy Saturday = "outing activity" (NOPE) Sunday = Family visitation 12pm-4pm (last 2 weeks only) its helpful if youre looking to get clean. The property and people are nice overall.

HVRC is responsible for the reclamation of my spirit. I arrived for treatment thinking that my only problem was a critical dependency of alcohol. What I was shown is a manner of living that feeds my soul. No longer operating in the shadows, I can face life as it comes with a renewed sense of self that is not guided by fear and doubt. I was admitted 04/22/24. Recovering from opioid addiction. This was my second time around. However, this time I put in a maximum effort in every group along with every assignment..I wanted to be successful in my recovery. I was warmly greeted and got down to business. It's is amazing what we can accomplish with a open mind, trusting heart and a willing spirit. The staff was incredible.. truthful.. and actually cared. Currently I am 92 days sober...no wants or desires ...or cravings. I strongly recommend Mrs Sherry " pain group " it is intense....but it had such a profound effect in my life. If you need help.. reach out, HVRC is in the top 20 centers in the nation I usually don't do reviews.... Every word is true and heartfelt... It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation. If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

I went to SBT a little over two years ago now on march 7th 2023, I was beat down and close to giving up due to my alcoholism and drug addiction. I had been through treatment twice before and didn’t think anything was going to change but I was willing to try. I was placed in a nice house with very knowledgeable and relatable staff members that helped guide me in my early days of detoxification. They kept me hopeful for a better life even though I felt like mine was over. The program they run is smooth and effective, they kept a close eye on me and made sure my needs were met. I can’t say enough good things about the program, my uncle passed away while I was in detox and on black out protocol and they still let me make a phone call to my family because they knew how much it would mean to me. Also had it not been for a counselor named Rachael, I’m not sure I would be sober to this day. She helped me navigate the best course of action to remain in sobriety by showing me all the resources and places I could go for after care both in my home state of WV and other options closer to their program as well. Had I not been made aware of the fact that I could go to boardwalk recovery after SBT I don’t think I would have made it as far as I have now. Thank you so much for helping me get my life back, you all are amazing people!

Best place ever. Couldn’t get sober on my own and tried every place locally and I just wasn’t ready. Decided to make the trip across country and it was the best decision of my life. Coming up on 4 years sober thanks to them. Made a lot of good friends also and the staff is great.

Just celebrated 8 years sobriety! This place saved my life. They are very well organized and understand treatment and recovery. I wasn't necessarily very open-minded in the beginning but I'm so glad I didn't quit and leave not everybody stays sober and I understand that and this place doesn't guarantee anything however it is a beginning and for me it was pivotal. Every day is a new day to embrace change. I learned that from MFI. I am forever grateful! Stay connected to the people in recovery and more importantly be available and responsible for people that need the help and you can keep your recovery. Miss Dove is a great counselor ... Staff is professional, experienced and well skilled! Saved my life!!!

Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days. Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be. It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this. If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations. If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities. Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

I was here for treatment for 8 months and I had an addiction to fentanyl and bipolar disorders . Another rehab didn’t want to keep me because of my kidney failure due to drug use and Angelika welcomed me with open arms !! Beautiful spirited woman !! She goes above and beyond for her clients and treat you like family !! This rehab is the only reason I got sober ! They let you go at your own pace and won’t be quick to kick you out !! Nice food , nice outtings !! She takes very good care of us !! Don’t think twice about coming it doesn’t feel like a facility or hospital and you get to keep your phone !! Nice bedrooms , big beds , your own bathroom and my favorite No ROOM Mates ! And btw Chris the Manager is awesome!!! The only people that had problems with him were the ones that weren’t serious about the sobriety!! He was one of my favorites !

This place is truly a house of miracles. I know this because I worked there for a year as a counselor. They truly do care about people and are very determined to give them hope for a better future. This is a place that you can find purpose for your life and get a fresh start. If you want a place to get away from your addiction and find true peace and tranquility with animal freinds and good people then this is the place for you.

Rancho Milagro helped me with my journey to being a drug free addict. Some staff are very spiritual and if you choose they will guide you spiritually. Brandon, Michelle very spiritual. The ones that aren't still respect your higher power. No judging. Some of them can relate to us the addicts. I recommend this place to heal your addiction and your soul. All the seligible. respectful. Just go in there they help you with work and disability compensation if you are elgible.

Judee is a life saver! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! She got my son approved for outpatient and in patient treatment within days! She was genuine and cared about our son’s safety, health and empathized with us as parents going through this for the first time! She never gave up and gave us so many options to help him every step of the way! Everyone at IOP and the Ranch were welcoming and made a huge difference and impact in my son’s life. I can’t thank this community enough for saving my son’s life! We will visit the ranch soon to thank everyone in person!

This is an amazing recovery center! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt wanted, supported, and well taken care of. They created an environment where I felt valued, and that made a big difference in my recovery. They are supportive when it comes to family members and taught me how important healthy boundaries are to maintain. I would recommend anyone looking for a safe and healthy place to learn to love themselves again and get sober to go to Liberty House Recovery!
