SBCH is absolutely amazing! The doctors, nurses & all staff are invedibly knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and they all worked together as a team and took the time to ensure I was aware of and understood all proceedures, tests, and what the results of my tests were. The food is so delicious, too! Each patient is given a menu that has everything from 2 slices of applewood bacon to filet mignon, all made-to-order & delivered hot & fresh in 45 minutes or less. I felt as though I were at a nice hotel, if not for the daily blood tests (sidenote: the phlebotomists are incredibly talented -- especially Ana -- who was able to find my notoriously problematic veins painlessly and expertly!) and daily visits from my doctors. I highly recommend SBCH and I use anyone who finds themselves in a situation where a hospitalization is necessary to go to SBCH. The doctors, nurses, and staff are top-notch and the hospital rooms are exceptionally clean and large. There are pull-out beds large enough to accomodate ~3 people, not including the patient, and the bathroom and shower area is large as well. SBCH is definitely the best & nicest hospital I've ever been to.

I love the program and they're very good at teaching DBT. The clients in the group are just amazing people. I would have given them 5 stars but I was discharged from the program unfairly. I honestly felt like it was patient abandonment. There was a hassle about my service dog and 4 months later I was kicked out of the program under a selective criteria that wasn't consistent with the standards/client discharge with respect to the rest of the clients. It was very subjective and selective to say the least. I miss the people so much and I really needed the continued help. I was not referred to anywhere else or given a transition period. Other than this they seemed very professional.

The counseling staff particularly Chris having been the best counselor I’ve had at the clinic and anywhere for that matter. He is very personable and actually relates to patients by sharing his past and how it’s affected his life in relation to each patient and their own needs. Rather than past counselors who are just by the book, ie(this is what I read so this is how you should react to this, say to that …etc.) Chris has a way of making a negative situation positive even when you don’t think it is possible or fair. Chris is a huge asset to Aegis and they would be at a major disadvantage if they were to lose him. Ginger and Jim are very well trained friendly and understanding nurses who are fast and accurate at dealing with many patients daily. Faith, Cindy, Brooke, Cami, and Jeff are also amazing staff members who have made a difference in my life. They go above and beyond to help patients in personal ways showing they actually care about each patient as a person not just completing the bare minimum requirements to keep their job. All these staff member’s are what make Aegis more family like, not just a Dr office setting. Each one of them has made a personal difference in my life and I am grateful to each one of them for what they have done to make my life better.

I go to the Atascadero location. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and I believe really do care. Very nice they take Medi-cal insurance. I've been able to make significant improvements in my life while receiving treatment here. I recommend going here if you are struggling with addiction. I had most caring counselors at grover beach sometimes u get counselors like u think they don't care but at grover beach they do...especially loved that they gave it to me straight up no sugar coating anything and thats what I needed...I honestly miss them all and if u think u cant do it trust me u can ..don't give up they will show u how to hold your head upp high

I'm fairly new to this clinic and use both SM and Lompoc clinic. I've read most every review, some good some not so good, I believe there is always room for improvement and growth, as for the reviews that really put down the clinic and the staff including the doctor, I would remind anyone reading this that most of the folks that show up here aren't exactly on they're A game right? That's why I'm here, to try and improve myself and my life. At this point in my life I have zero business being critical of others when I'm scrambling to hold together the remaining broken pieces of what I call a life back together.. so I respectfully would caution anyone who reads the not so good reviews to keep the former into consideration. To some of us this is a life and death choice. Don't let someone who's demonstrating their unjustifiable anger keep you from trying to make a positive choice in your life. I've had no problems with staff or any of the doctors. It's not a social club . Its a chance to change where my best thinking got me. Good luck, best wishes on your journey.....

My experience at the champions center, was the best decision I've ever made for myself, the staff was amazing, they taught me how to control my addiction, and now I know it's not quick fix, it a life time of be plug in to recovery, once your a addict your always one. Trading one for anthor, I could never payback enough what champion center has set me on the right path. God bless the whole staff.

I've known Mark for what seems like forever. As a child I loved spending my hours at Mark-gil's home. We spent days playing Halo and Guitar hero as we bonded and became two peas in a pod. Mark being my best friend is an under-statement. I can honestly say that he has become the brother I never wanted. I was placed into one of their programs, and my life changed for the better! Honestly, when I first got into their sober living home, I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. However, I was so far removed from all of the snares and chaos of my life, that it was a relief. I didn't know anyone in Santa Maria, but was glad! I was connected to County services so I could get well, and back to work, and housed again (without a voucher too)! I just needed solid ground to get my footing. Long story short, when it rains, it pours! I experienced a whirlwind of unfortunate events during and after after the pandemic, to the extent I became unable to work, unable to cope, and needed help!
The entire staff was great! From my observation, if you treat the staff with respect, they will treat you with respect. If you follow their rules, things will become very easy for you. If you are honest with yourself and staff, things will become very easy for you! They are firm on their policy, as they should be, because they are dealing with lots of people, from various backgrounds. Rise up, to hold yourself accountable for your actions. The staff members at Good Samaritan evaluated my entire situation, and connected me to the services that are now paving the way for success, long after leaving sober living. I can't wait to get to my next destination in life, so I can give back just as soon as I can. I will never forget you all, and cherish Good Samaritan deeply.

I wanted to say that the Santa Maria Shelter has helped me in my most difficult of time and being honest with them has opened doors for me and those like myself who are truly trying to get their lives back together. I thank them and the community members and businesses who go out of their busy lives to help those in need like myself. I am truly grateful and appreciative.
