The counseling staff particularly Chris having been the best counselor I’ve had at the clinic and anywhere for that matter. He is very personable and actually relates to patients by sharing his past and how it’s affected his life in relation to each patient and their own needs. Rather than past counselors who are just by the book, ie(this is what I read so this is how you should react to this, say to that …etc.) Chris has a way of making a negative situation positive even when you don’t think it is possible or fair. Chris is a huge asset to Aegis and they would be at a major disadvantage if they were to lose him. Ginger and Jim are very well trained friendly and understanding nurses who are fast and accurate at dealing with many patients daily. Faith, Cindy, Brooke, Cami, and Jeff are also amazing staff members who have made a difference in my life. They go above and beyond to help patients in personal ways showing they actually care about each patient as a person not just completing the bare minimum requirements to keep their job. All these staff member’s are what make Aegis more family like, not just a Dr office setting. Each one of them has made a personal difference in my life and I am grateful to each one of them for what they have done to make my life better.

New Visions genuinely saved my life. I went for 29 days in May of 2023, and left cause I thought I could it. I was high again 2 weeks later. They picked me up the second time I went and welcomed me back with open arms. I was at my lowest. Lost custody of my kids, my bf was cheating and hitting me. We were both addicts, with no way out. When I went back they assisted me in addressing every problem I had. The counselor I had was amazing, and she made sure I knew I was heard and mattered. I was there around 5 months which is longer than most, but it was exactly what I needed. I now have over 2 years sober from IV use of meth. I have my kids weekly with a job, my own place, and a vehicle. Without New Visions staff and support I can honestly say, I would still be alone, at my lowest. They provided for me in ways I couldn't provide for myself. ♥️

Excellent staff; RNs, MH staff, including Guards. I only had one bad experience with an RN during my 8 or so days, and perhaps she was just having a bad day. (Very understandable with some of the patients there, WOW!!) One of the other RNs liked to compare opinions on various shows on Netflixs and other films and tv shows we had seen, plus recommendations to each other, on the one rare day of her 3 day shift she had a little time to breathe. She also had never had an opportunity to talk to anyone who had experienced Electric Shock Therapy or some time back changed with Shock replaced by Convulsive. I understand perfectly why it is policy not to allow any mental health staff to meet, etc. with any former patients with MH issues. However, is it possible to meet in the safety of the hospital, at the discretion of the RN in this case of course. There are some very dangerous men there, some of which i met there. In fact, while I was there, a every loud female scream was heard throughout a large section of the hospital from a small room there. Obviously, a male patient did something very wrong to one of the female MH staff. Immediately, all the MH staff plus guards who heard the scream instantly dropped whatever they were doing and ran as fast as they could to her aid. Don't know any details, of course, but we patients in the area across from the activity sure we're surprised and curious about it. Also, locked in, perhaps. Anyway, the Bing map i was given befóre going to my new housing was very flawed.

Our daughter entered Visions at 16, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. From the very beginning, the care, structure, and support she received were outstanding. The staff are not only highly trained professionals, but genuinely compassionate people who truly understood the challenges teens and their families face. The programming was incredibly well rounded, from different therapy modalities to engaging activities that kept her motivated and involved. Family therapy was a cornerstone of the experience for us; it helped rebuild trust and communication in ways we never expected. We were reassured by how much attention was given to creating a safe, comfortable environment where our daughter could focus on healing. The on-site school was excellent and kept her on track academically, which made her transition back home much smoother. Today, our daughter is 3.5 years sober, thriving in her life, and continues to build on the foundation that was laid during her time in treatment. We are forever grateful for the role Visions played in her recovery and in our family’s healing.

I worked as a program aide at Visions for 8 months. I saw the innermost workings of the company and worked directly with the kids. Working as a program aide at Visions was the most meaningful time of my life. Program aides spend the most time with the kids, and because of that I was able to watch the transformation happen. I saw kids come into Visions in psychosis, in deep depression, in immense anxiety, and in general suffering. I watched many miracles happen over the course of 45-60 days. And I saw those same kids who came into Visions so sick leave completely changed. Visions works because of their insistence on the family work. While Visions' residents are doing the work, their parents are doing the work along with them. Each kid at Visions has a Family Therapist, and individual therapist, a psychiatrist, an internist, a host of program aids, and a depth of specialty clinicians for CBT therapy, DBT therapy, eating disorders, OCD, ASD, Trauma. These kids have more help at their disposal at Visions than any human generally ever experiences. Offering this level of support in such a critical time in a teen's life sets them up for successes beyond their and their parents' dreams. I know because I saw it. I directly experienced the change. Visions is a beautiful place and I am grateful for every minute I got to tech there.
