I can't say enough of this place they have helped thru the darkest times of my life and made me feel welcomed and made my stay there so comfortable. The whole staff there were amazing and understanding...especially Cynthia hats off to her... if it wasn't for her I don't think I could have made it there!! This place saved my life. When I was at my worst and my absolute rock bottom- Pemarro was there to help my family to get me into detox. I had never been to treatment before and was very scared and did not know what to expect but the staff at Pemarro made the experience so comforting. If it wasn't for their help, nurturing and guidance I wouldn't be where I am today. I have 10 months sober today- and the first day I stepped foot in there has been my sobriety date and has not changed. Groups, food, activities and it's peaceful nature surroundings is perfect to escape from the craziness that addiction and alcoholism throws at us. It is a perfect place to relax and self reflect. Not to mention, they have a house dog there named Parker- who will become your cuddle buddy and walk around outside with you. Carlin, Jen and scott taught me so much and helped guide me through the whole process. I am forever thankful for Pemarro! You will not be dissapointed if this is where you begin your new happy, free and joyous life!

If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. I finally feel like I have my dad back and could not be more thankful for the staff and everyone else included, truly. My name is Susan, and I’m a recovering alcoholic and addict. I recently completed a stay at Restore Detox in Poway, and I can honestly say they helped save my life.
Restore is truly a special place. The home is beautiful and peaceful, set up to host only six clients at a time, which creates an intimate, family-like atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I felt safe, supported, and understood. The staff is not only professional and knowledgeable, but they are also compassionate and genuinely invested in each person’s recovery.
The amenities at Restore go far beyond what I expected. There’s a pool, hot tub, and even a pickleball court right on the property. They also bring in a personal trainer and offer yoga sessions, which really helped me reconnect with my body and start healing physically as well as emotionally. The combination of physical activity, relaxation, and structure made a huge difference in my recovery process.
The group sessions were incredibly helpful and are led by staff who truly care. Even after leaving, I still attend groups because I’ve found a strong sense of community there. Restore didn’t just help me detox—they gave me tools, hope, and a new beginning.

I would highly recommend Right Path Recovery to my family, friends, and anyone desiring to get sober and drug free. I have relapsed several times in the past before I went to Right Path and have been in other inpatient rehab treatment centers. My experience with Right Path Recovery has changed my life. The education and 12 step focus along with the skilled and caring staff, small group setting and accountability has made a huge difference. For the first time I am able to live a sober life that I enjoy and I am growing in personal areas so much that my family and friends have noticed a huge positive change in me that is allowing me to repair broken relationships. The setting San Diego is beautiful which was a definite plus while I was going through my healing process. Aton has the most beneficial, overall program in place for true care of your mind, body and spirit. This place helped me overcome my trauma and I left there feeling lighter! The staff here really cares! I want to give a huge shout out to my care team! Dr. Vejar did an amazing job with my family sessions. Anna was AMAZING and really changed my life. The EMDR sessions with her were really effective! I also want to give a shout out to the RA staff they were very friendly. It also helped that a lot of the staff there is in recovery themselves. Lastly I want to thanks the chefs for accommodating my diet they really went above and beyond!

When I think back on my experience at Casa Palmera in Del Mar, I get a peaceful feeling because when I was there, I felt safe and cared for.
It is a wonderful treatment facility and the best thing I ever did for myself!
The facility itself is very peaceful with multiple courtyards, fountains, and a koi pond where we went to journal or meditate.
The staff members are outstanding.
Starting with the lead therapists, facilitators, and behavioral techs.. to the yoga teacher, housekeepers, and kitchen staff. I felt like everybody was so kind and compassionate. The therapists were top notch, where they really try to fit people with the a therapist to match their needs
Casa incorporates a variety of practices to benefit recovery. There are AA/CA/HA, meetings; Refuge Recovery, Trauma, therapy, music, therapy, meditation, yoga…
For special outings, there are beach days, hiking, horse, therapy, etc.
it may seems like a frivolous detail for some, but having three meals a day and snacks prepared for me every day, and having my laundry done for me so I could focus on my recovery was the icing on the cake.

There are going to be people who complain about it, but I think most of those people are the ones that were in there not of their own accord, and found fault with everything. It’s not a 5-star hotel, which some seem to expect when they come.
It’s a beautiful and loving recovery facility where they love you into health so you can leave there with the tools to start your lifetime of recovery. They give you the reins to take responsibility and take action for your own recovery when you leave.

Prior to going to Villa Kali Ma I researched many other programs, but I am so grateful that I chose VKM. The location is peaceful and beautiful, the staff are so amazing. They are kind and caring and make you feel at home. The different treatment modalities are so beneficial and I still use them outside of the program. Overall I felt like Villa Kali Ma healed me and brought me back to myself, on a spiritual and emotional level by helping me process deep rooted issues and why I really had a problem. I write this review two and a half years later, having thoroughly tested the tools and experienced the wonderful staff at VKM to see if the lessons and gifts provided could endure. I want to share with every woman- partners, parents, and friends- that VKM is a true temple of knowledge and healing.
I arrived during a troubled time in my life: broken, vulnerable, and desperate for guidance to begin my healing journey. I followed one rule: “Be open and trust the process.” Every woman I met there has remained in my heart and is part of my ongoing healing. Each staff member was uniquely qualified to support me: diligently, caring, and knowledgeable. The intake staff includes some of the most compassionate women I have met, likely due to their past experiences, which enable them to guide others on their healing journeys. The holistic team is exceptional; more than yoga teachers, they are spiritual leaders and warriors, as we all are.
The individualized schedules adapt to each person's needs. If you're fine with vegan options, the food is excellent (I emerged in the best shape of my life). These women can perform miracles if you're ready to work with them and confront your challenges with integrity. During my time there, I was accepted to a university and am now in the final leg of my B. S. in Psychology, graduating with honors. I've faced significant challenges since leaving, including a family member's cancer diagnosis and losing my sister at the young age of 47. Yes, I have stumbled and fallen over the past two years.
Despite these difficulties, I write to share that the tools and healing I received from VKM helped me rise again, let go of what didn't serve me, forgive those who hurt me, and, most importantly, extend forgiveness to myself with self-compassion Thank you, Kay and ladies, for honoring your chosen path of facilitating healing in a holistic manner that honors your God-given assignment to be the Light for us Ladies in need.

My daughter’s mental health symptoms showed up at age thirteen. It seemed like overnight we went from having a typical child who enjoyed spending time with family, playing with friends, reading books, going on outings to just wanting to die. It was a very scary and confusing place for our family. I tried and tried to find providers who could help her. She went to multiple providers and programs with little change. After our insurance changed, we were able to start treatment at Evolve. From the very beginning, I felt that we were in good hands. The staff are well trained and the program is well designed. My daughter’s behaviors and our family’s communication patterns changed dramatically. After four years of feelings as if I had lost my daughter, I have my daughter back. Evolve did wonders for our teen. I'm sure it's hard for them to get reviews as this is such a private matter. The whole process is utterly heartbreaking. You don't end up here because you wanna be here. That being said they worked with us as a family so well. I really liked that. They involve you in the treatment and try to ensure that you will have the tools necessary to help your child continue on their path of healing. The path is BUMPY, and it heartbreaking. I remember graduating out of program thinking I don't know if I am ready to do it without them. They helped us navigate tough topics and issues our teen would shut down on us with. Helped us see each other's sides. Helped our teen see themeself. When we graduated out were ok and we did move forward on our own. As a family we are so thankful for the staff at Evolve and the forever impact they have made on our child's life. The skills they shared, our kiddo still uses. Our kiddo really had a connection to the staff. There was also a pet lizard that meant a lot to our kiddo. There's so much I could say about this place. But the biggest is just two words FOREVER THANKFUL.

Dr. H.D. Lin literally saved my life there in 2004 - I had a 5% chance of survival. Since then, my husband and I have had nothing but great doctors with wonderful staff. Recently I had 2 knee replacements and my husband, 2 hips and now 1 knee replacement. The staff and doctors have always been personable and very attentive to all our needs. We couldn't ask for more and will always recommend doctors at Grossmont. Although the ER tries to do it's best, I have heard that sometimes ERs are separate entities and not always part of the hospitals.

Monte Catini was a place where, for the first time in a long time, I felt like I wasn’t just a diagnosis. My treatment team was incredible — supportive, attentive, and genuinely invested in my recovery. The director of nursing, especially, made a huge difference. She listened, she cared, and she helped me feel safe in a body that often didn’t.
Most of the staff went above and beyond. I was surrounded by people who made me feel human again, and that mattered more than I can say.
That’s why my discharge was so painful.
When I spoke up about what I was struggling with — not to act on anything, but to ask for help — I was discharged. It felt like the decision came from fear, not from understanding. I wish the CEO had taken the time to hear me out, to collaborate on a plan instead of making me feel like I no longer belonged there.
I didn’t want to leave. I was doing the hard work. I just needed more support — not a closed door.
Despite how it ended, I’m still grateful for the care I received at Monte. I grew a lot during my time there, and many of the people I met left a lasting impact on me. I just wish I had been given the chance to stay and keep going.

Montecatini was, for me, a place of deep transformation, held together by a handful of truly extraordinary people. I came in uncertain, fragile, and afraid—but there were individuals there who showed up for me in powerful and lasting ways.
Alixe, my therapist, was nothing short of phenomenal. Her ability to cut through the noise and get to the heart of things is a gift. She is fierce, insightful, and deeply compassionate—a force to be reckoned with. The work I did with her was some of the most meaningful therapy I’ve ever had, and I will carry it with me always.
Janel, who served as one of the house moms, held such a loving and nurturing presence. Her warmth, humor, and grounded care made all the difference on hard days. I will be eternally grateful for her steady kindness and for the way she made the house feel like a safe place to land.
Lexi is an intelligent and wise woman who clearly lives by her values. Natalie has a heart of gold while still being able to “throw down” when needed—fierce and loving in equal measure. Katie brings together wit, intelligence, and humor in a way that makes her instantly magnetic. Emily, although officially the exercise physiologist, could easily be a therapist with her deep ability to listen and truly hear people.
Glee made me feel seen every single day, simply by saying hello each time we passed. Yasmine is elegance defined, with a wicked sense of humor that always made me smile. Dr. Morache is one of the kindest, funniest, most loving men I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting—an absolute gem in the field.
The BHA team are the backbone of the program—dedicated, tireless, and deeply compassionate. The nurses bust their butts in a very hard situation, and their work deserves immense respect and recognition.
Not everything was perfect—particularly the food, which often felt like an afterthought in an environment where nourishment is central to healing. But despite that, the human beings at Monte—those who truly show up—are what made the experience valuable.
To those staff members who gave their full hearts: thank you. You helped me find parts of myself I thought I had lost.

The people that make up the team at Brightquest are some of the most compassionate, patient and caring people you’ll come across. Simon in admissions takes the time to understand what’s going on with your loved one and how to get them from point A to point B. He really cares and takes the time to understand the whole picture. Rey is one of the client care coordinators at Brightquest and he takes the time to build rapport with each and every one of the clients. Overall, Brightquest seems to have the potential to be a beautiful place if you make it one and if all those involved (parent, client, referrant, etc) fall under-- to each's own capacity-- a conjoined understanding of what enrolling into the facility truly entails before onboarding.
Top of the Line professionals in terms of medical, psychiatric, directorial staff, and coordinators.
In the San Diego office, administrative advision and onboarding facilitators seemed to be - at a minimum - understaffed, underprepared, rushed... disjointed, disoriented - retaining inconsistent speech and tonal behaviors. First day, as most everyone will tell you, is definitely whiplashy; so be prepared.
Most, if not all therapists are pretty fantastic, though there's a healthy sprinkling that will likely benefit from more seasoning or better balance when it comes to working with the clientele that comes through the facility--especially considering the severity of what Brightquest's treatment plans offer.
Resolution could see steps towards improvement with a simple forum on situational and environmental threats, could addtly. benefit from the inclusion of more proactive superiors. (aside from weekly staff meetings which seem to not be too productive, I really just believe there should be a massive overhaul/addition to supervising faculty, or an increase in physical foot traction of prior mentioned superiors, wherever they're holding these mystery figures. Yes, it is true from what I've read in other reviews that plenty key players are conveniently often on vacation. Website also needs an update.)
I definitely think that clients should have a say in who they work with throughout their time in treatment, if afforded the luxury-- e.g. building or altering their own teams. The option of choice and communication does so much for clients in a space with inconsistent, often seemingly unclear boundaries and assistance. Also, on the DEI note, not very accommodating in terms of practicing religion.
Last and certainly MOST important. If at this point you have any retainer hesitations-- great resources, work study programming, activities, group sessions, and residential function is a very intelligent, strategic layout. Each individual playing a hand in house management, whether that be house managers themselves, night staff, or especially nurse Theresa (who is working 24/7!) are diamonds in the rough of it all.
At the end of a long day, throughout any level, at Brightquest (with the right treatment and mentality) you can fall on the network you've built for yourself within the community there. I truly do hope to see the team at BQ San Diego weed out some of the bad parts, as there is so much light and an outpouring of love and friendship in the work done there.
