If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

I had a very good experience here the counselors are great. The groups are very Informative along with those and the medications that I’ve received has helped me maintain a clear mindset so that I can hopefully continue treatment At an outpatient facility to achieve long-term sobriety
I can’t tell you how wonderful HVRC is. The nursing staff, counselors and recovering addicts and alcoholics are loving and compassionate. I learned so much about my addiction and was given the tools to use upon discharge. If you have the chance, take the Pain class given by Shari. It’s about emotional pain. You will not regret it.

I love this place. Miss Jackie and Gwen alone make this place wonderful. Don't let where its at fool u. I resented this first time I went here. After a week realized this is exactly where I need to be. Detox is awesome they take care of there peps. The program there is amazing as well. HVRC is responsible for the reclamation of my spirit. I arrived for treatment thinking that my only problem was a critical dependency of alcohol. What I was shown is a manner of living that feeds my soul. No longer operating in the shadows, I can face life as it comes with a renewed sense of self that is not guided by fear and doubt. And Brian, with his love, care, nurturing compassion, and his treasure load of experience. The three of them are unparalleled, and unmatched.

I desperately needed to get sober & doing it on my own wasn’t working. I had no idea what to expect from this place. From my very first phone call, to the day I was discharged, the staff, nurses, techs & counselors were absolutely amazing & incredibly friendly & compassionate. The women I met and lived with at Fisher Hall surrounded me with nothing but love and support & for the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disease. The property was beautiful, the food was good & I loved cruising the book store. The psychiatrist, Young, however, was the only disappointing part of my 28 day stay. His comment, “…in 20 years, if you live that long,” was hurtful, especially for someone so vulnerable & new to rehab and sobriety. He also made other upsetting comments to other women in my hall, but that is not my story to tell. Other than that, my stay was amazing & it gave me the tools I desperately needed. Overall I had an excellent experience at BF - the only negative comment I could make was the atmosphere in detox- I found the the environment to be dark and depressing, the rooms smelly and a rare and occasion condescending staff member - the minute I walked into DuPont Hall everything changed- I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive and communicative group of patients - I felt very fortunate to have been assigned Bryan Wilmoth as my counselor- he is exceptional at what he does - the small group gatherings were the highlight of my time here at BF - Bryan provides a safe environment that allows people to open up and express themselves in a non judgmental way - he provides levity when necessary and the written exercises were enlighten and productive- I can’t say enough good things about Bryan - last thing - the food was inconsistent and could certainly be better in my opinion - thx for the opportunity to review my experience at the BFC

If you are looking for a sober living location this is the place. I stayed at Phoenix Rising in Palm Desert for over a month and had a wonderful experience. Thank you Sam and all the staff at Phoenix Rising for attending to all my needs, and truly caring about my health and sobriety. I did not not feel like I was just a number, my health was their priority.

This place is amazing ! Everything about this place is great. The food, the counselors, and all the staff are awesome. Staff is so helpful. My counselor Paul has been amazing. Another guy that's always helpful all around is Shep. He's a good role model and cool to talk to and have some laughs with. I recommend anyone who's really serious about sobriety to give this place a try! 10/10

I fortunately haven't gone inpatient since I was 5 months post partum and the death of my mother in the same two month period in 2016. There were several years while I lived in San Diego, where I was at Mesa Vista almost monthly. I live in Pennsylvania now, and my mental health is really going down here. I'm considering flying to San Diego for inpatient care. I'm trying to hold on until after the holidays.. I'm just barely holding it together so my husband who works in the airline industry doesn't get fired for needing to take off during the worst time of the year (the holidays) to care for our young children. I really hope I can for the sake of my family. I would never go inpatient out here! Sharp Mesa Vista is bar none the BEST inpatient psychiatric hospital I've been in and I'm 51, first hospitalized at age 13! That's a LONG time to have experienced. I'm sure half of the nurses have retired. And probably no hospital allows vaping..but if I have to go through nicotine withdrawal for my mental health, I will. I really am not understanding why all psychiatric hospitals are on this no vaping/cigarette kick..we have enough going on! This isn't towards this hospital..but it is about the system. It's really just to have this appearance of health...when it's really more of being control freaks and that's a shame. I'm sure there's a lot of people who just won't even consider help for this one reason. I think it's ridiculous. It's not prison, the mentally ill are not criminals (usually)!

When I had no place to go, Restore was there to help me get my life back on track. They have an awesome and knowledgeable staff who understood what I was going through in Detox but also showed me a way of living, how to cope with everyday life and being around others without drinking. Educational groups, outside AA meetings in San Diego and regular fitness activities gave me a glimpse of life i wish to continue outside of discharging from Restore. It was home when I lived there and it's great that the owner Steven encoyrages alumni to return to the house as another place to be at that makes me feel comfortable and at ease. A beautiful place to recover. Staff is knowledgeable and cares about every individual in the house. Groups, education and physical fitness restore the body and mind. I would recommend it to anybody seeking recovery from drugs and/or alcohol.
I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. He chose his recovery center And he was there because he wanted to be there not because he wanted to be Not because he had to be there.
He was not the easiest patient in the beginning, but he stuck it out because Made him feel comfortable as they treated him like family. His big guy there since January 5. And they have truly been a blessing to our family Him get through his addictions, his mental state, they have great counselors Psychiatrist they have been a blessing. He is now changed man and a great husband And grandfather, I’m truthfully grateful Of your help I love you all!! My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. I finally feel like I have my dad back and could not be more thankful for the staff and everyone else included, truly. James — you played that TEDx video for me on one of the days I was at my lowest, and something in it cracked me open. It lit a fire. Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. Every staff member that was there in the month of April 2025 will forever be In my heart! There part of my recovery and the reason I am sober today still . I love you guys and gals. Thank you for listening to me with open hearts and non judgmental eyes. Groups were exactly what I needed . It’s small groups but I love it . I got better one on ones. My experience was so amazing they have the best staff and the program is so helpful I love each and everyone there all the the people make you feel very welcomed I say that Bella Monte is the best detox and residential ever it's the best by far and I owe alot to Bella Monte and they check up on me once a week and I love them so much I call them once a week myself I think having a place like Bella Monte makes it much easier to recover and stay in recovery
When I was looking for IOP drug rehabs San Diego, HGR always seemed to be coming up. After carefully examining their addiction treatment centers website, I decided to give them a call. I was surprised that their CEO answered the phone. Nora Jenkins carefully answered all my questions on how their intensive outpatient program worked. I didn't realize that I needed to go through alcohol detoxification first. Their alcohol detox centers San Diego option accepts most health insurances and they accepted mine which was AETNA, This outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation program allowed me to continue working and get the help I needed. This alcohol detox San Diego substance abuse rehabilitation center saved my life. It was unlike the other California drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers that I attended prior. Their medical doctors provided me with a detailed treatment plan. This plan started at their alcohol detox centers San Diego then put me into their inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. This is where their treatment process differed. They performed a dual diagnosis. This got to the root of my addiction. I had several co-occurring disorders that were left untreated by other addiction treatment centers. While in the residential inpatient program I had one on one meetings with their credentialed substance abuse counselors. These sessions were difficult but helped me address my addiction problems head on. I have been clean for 6 months and finally am getting my life back. Thank you, Harmony Grove Recovery.

Harmony Grove Recovery is the best alcohol rehab in San Diego hands down. Their alcohol detox San Diego program is medically supervised. They gave me medication assisted treatment that not only reduced the painful withdrawal that I usually experience, but they almost eliminated it. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days. After completing that, I went to their residential inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. I highly recommend this California drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.

I can’t say enough good about AToN! Between the professional and knowledgeable staff, the outstanding holistic team, gourmet food and beautiful accommodations and surroundings, one in recovery could not ask for a better treatment center. I have been struggling with alcohol abuse for 40 years, in and out of rehab, IOPs and meetings. The behavioral modification approach and education along with holistic treatments is just incredible. Truly mind, body and soul approach. I finally saw a light at the end of a long dark tunnel that I never saw before. I cannot recommend AToN highly enough. You are cared for and treated with dignity and respect. Unlike any other place I have been you receive individual one on one counseling sessions 5 days a week.
