I would highly recommend Right Path Recovery to my family, friends, and anyone desiring to get sober and drug free. I have relapsed several times in the past before I went to Right Path and have been in other inpatient rehab treatment centers. My experience with Right Path Recovery has changed my life. The education and 12 step focus along with the skilled and caring staff, small group setting and accountability has made a huge difference. For the first time I am able to live a sober life that I enjoy and I am growing in personal areas so much that my family and friends have noticed a huge positive change in me that is allowing me to repair broken relationships. The setting San Diego is beautiful which was a definite plus while I was going through my healing process. Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. I was admitted 04/22/24. Recovering from opioid addiction. This was my second time around. However, this time I put in a maximum effort in every group along with every assignment..I wanted to be successful in my recovery. I was warmly greeted and got down to business. It's is amazing what we can accomplish with a open mind, trusting heart and a willing spirit. The staff was incredible.. truthful.. and actually cared.
Currently I am 92 days sober...no wants or desires ...or cravings.
I strongly recommend Mrs Sherry " pain group " it is intense....but it had such a profound effect in my life.

It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation.
If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

It feels impossible for me to adequately put into words what Phoenix Rising and their staff means to me. It’s been 9 months since I arrived there, totally broken, hopeless, scared, sick, sad, and ashamed. I was on the verge of death, either by suicide or my failing health due to my addiction and total breakdown. And now, I have hope, I have sobriety, and my life back.
Their program is so special and so well rounded. They think outside of the box with their treatment and make mindful accommodations when necessary. Aside from the usual offerings of therapy, trauma work, 12 step meetings and sober fun days outside of the facility, there is meditation and sound baths, misc outings (hello mani pedi day and softball) and hiking, beautiful pools to swim in, art therapy, writing therapy, and so much more. You learn the science and psychology of addiction, trauma and recovery. You are fed delicious food. Most importantly, you are surrounded by a staff who cares so much. Whomever is responsible for their hiring has a true gift for choosing the right people.
If you’re reading this and wondering, please go. Go to this safe, healing place. Go with an open heart, open mind, and willingness. Save yourself. Save your life. Heal. Learn. Grow.

The road to sustainable recovery doesn’t stop when you coin out as a resident. Akua’s after care program aka “Akua Alumni” has played a pivotal role in my continued sobriety. The Thursday Akua Alumni 12 step meeting provides a home group meeting for me where I know I can listen, be heard or just because I’m broke and want free food cooked by chef Becca🤣. But seriously I’ve been through a lot of “changing of the guards” in terms of leadership for the alumni program. I love and appreciate everyone that has blessed us with their time, care and love (you know who you are) but today I can say that the culture and vibe with in-house peeps and alumni peeps is the strongest that I’ve seen. Big Thanks to Kersey for being an amazing coordinator that hired on during what I would call a rough patch. She has assembled and empowered key players (you know who you are) that have filled a void and a much needed heart beat to keep our meetings and activities fun, interesting and cost friendly if not free to our diverse Akua family. Thanks to everyone at Akua from top to bottom and all my Akua family that listen and support me through this journey.

Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. Every staff member that was there in the month of April 2025 will forever be In my heart! There part of my recovery and the reason I am sober today still . I love you guys and gals. This alcohol detox San Diego substance abuse rehabilitation center saved my life. It was unlike the other California drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers that I attended prior. Their medical doctors provided me with a detailed treatment plan. This plan started at their alcohol detox centers San Diego then put me into their inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. Harmony Grove Recovery is the best alcohol rehab in San Diego hands down. Their alcohol detox San Diego program is medically supervised. They gave me medication assisted treatment that not only reduced the painful withdrawal that I usually experience, but they almost eliminated it. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days. After completing that, I went to their residential inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. I highly recommend this California drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.

HGR Mental Health Services is absolutely life saving. The staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable in many different mental illnesses and disorders. Their staff specializes in truly understanding the brain and how everything is affected. When I think back on my experience at Casa Palmera in Del Mar, I get a peaceful feeling because when I was there, I felt safe and cared for.
It is a wonderful treatment facility and the best thing I ever did for myself!
The facility itself is very peaceful with multiple courtyards, fountains, and a koi pond where we went to journal or meditate.
The staff members are outstanding.

Casa incorporates a variety of practices to benefit recovery. There are AA/CA/HA, meetings; Refuge Recovery, Trauma, therapy, music, therapy, meditation, yoga…
For special outings, there are beach days, hiking, horse, therapy, etc.
it may seems like a frivolous detail for some, but having three meals a day and snacks prepared for me every day, and having my laundry done for me so I could focus on my recovery was the icing on the cake.

There are going to be people who complain about it, but I think most of those people are the ones that were in there not of their own accord, and found fault with everything. It’s not a 5-star hotel, which some seem to expect when they come.
It’s a beautiful and loving recovery facility where they love you into health so you can leave there with the tools to start your lifetime of recovery. They give you the reins to take responsibility and take action for your own recovery when you leave.

Rancho Milagro helped me with my journey to being a drug free addict. Some staff are very spiritual and if you choose they will guide you spiritually. Brandon, Michelle very spiritual. The ones that aren't still respect your higher power. No judging. Some of them can relate to us the addicts. I recommend this place to heal your addiction and your soul. Judee is a life saver! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! She got my son approved for outpatient and in patient treatment within days! She was genuine and cared about our son’s safety, health and empathized with us as parents going through this for the first time! She never gave up and gave us so many options to help him every step of the way! Everyone at IOP and the Ranch were welcoming and made a huge difference and impact in my son’s life. Overall, Brightquest seems to have the potential to be a beautiful place if you make it one and if all those involved (parent, client, referrant, etc) fall under-- to each's own capacity-- a conjoined understanding of what enrolling into the facility truly entails before onboarding.
Top of the Line professionals in terms of medical, psychiatric, directorial staff, and coordinators.
In the San Diego office, administrative advision and onboarding facilitators seemed to be - at a minimum - understaffed, underprepared, rushed... disjointed, disoriented - retaining inconsistent speech and tonal behaviors. First day, as most everyone will tell you, is definitely whiplashy; so be prepared.
Most, if not all therapists are pretty fantastic, though there's a healthy sprinkling that will likely benefit from more seasoning or better balance when it comes to working with the clientele that comes through the facility--especially considering the severity of what Brightquest's treatment plans offer.
Resolution could see steps towards improvement with a simple forum on situational and environmental threats, could addtly. benefit from the inclusion of more proactive superiors. (aside from weekly staff meetings which seem to not be too productive, I really just believe there should be a massive overhaul/addition to supervising faculty, or an increase in physical foot traction of prior mentioned superiors, wherever they're holding these mystery figures. Yes, it is true from what I've read in other reviews that plenty key players are conveniently often on vacation. Website also needs an update.)
I definitely think that clients should have a say in who they work with throughout their time in treatment, if afforded the luxury-- e.g. building or altering their own teams. The option of choice and communication does so much for clients in a space with inconsistent, often seemingly unclear boundaries and assistance. Also, on the DEI note, not very accommodating in terms of practicing religion.
Last and certainly MOST important. If at this point you have any retainer hesitations-- great resources, work study programming, activities, group sessions, and residential function is a very intelligent, strategic layout. Each individual playing a hand in house management, whether that be house managers themselves, night staff, or especially nurse Theresa (who is working 24/7!) are diamonds in the rough of it all.
At the end of a long day, throughout any level, at Brightquest (with the right treatment and mentality) you can fall on the network you've built for yourself within the community there. I truly do hope to see the team at BQ San Diego weed out some of the bad parts, as there is so much light and an outpouring of love and friendship in the work done there.

I have not physically been there, but my bestie was brought in for being abused by her mother, (mental abuse) she was at the brink of calling quits. Plus she was sick, like covid sick, and her mother would not let up on her, so they have taken her in, given her a peaceful place to get it together and rest. They are helping her to find the next steps to take, as far as shelter. I am so very grateful for places like this that give hope to those who have bo hope! Judging by her experience so far, I have nothing bad to say and neither does she. My prayer now is they help her find a peaceful stable place to call home and not EVER have to return to her mother's home or under her abusive ways! Thank you Horizon and all you do

Very small and intimate you don’t have to worry about dealing with the extra drama that comes with large facilities. Your literally living in a mansion on the hills with a group of ppl that will quickly become your friends who comes from all over. Out of all the facilities I’ve been to this is def the best especially if your older and prefer to be around more mature individuals. There was never a strict schedule for fresh air or smoking, nor eating. The chef came in 6 days a week and your free to enter the kitchen. They had a little snatch bar as well that’s stocked full of great snacks and a fresh pop corn machine. This my stay was the winter to spring months of 2019 I’m pretty sure it prob hasn’t changed much. Oh and the rooms are amazing I never had to share a room it included a walk in closet and amazing bathroom with great vanity that I never had to share!!

I was spiritually broke, and so far into my addiction. I was hopeless.
Angelo and Mike were just the best. I'm not making this up!! I was nursed through detox and completed the in-patient program. Today I have hope joy and love. Not mention a bigger tummy.
Beautiful pool, sauna, ping pong and plenty of literature to get you back on track.

After struggling with addiction, I made one of the best decisions of my life.
Checked in 11-20-2021 and checked out 12-19-2021. The house was comfortable and welcoming. Watching the sunsets from the backyard was like a postcard. It was nice to have a pool and hot tub. Would have been nice to have exercise equipment. I liked the small atmosphere. The maximum clients is six. Made some great friends. The staff was amazing, minus a couple of people. My case manager was there to help me with anything I needed from filling out FMLA, filing Short Term Disability, setting up aftercare, and everything inbetween. The groups were informational. We were taught how to live a life of sobriety. The seven hour daily groups got monotonous towards the end. The therapist left some to be desired. She was very nice, but we didn't learn much about CBT or DBT. I was looking forward to having a therapist for the first time, but I only ended up getting an hour one on one session the thirty days I was there. The food was fantastic. Pete, Dom and Amy are great chefs. I gained twenty pounds! Two months sober and looking forward to many more. I highly recommend California Highlands Vistas if you're struggling with addiction.
