Michael’s House genuinely feels like a community setting in which it is possible to embrace change. And the food was healthy and delicious.

Michael's House offers some of the best knowledge one can obtain when it comes to recovery. If you're open to receiving such information, this program works like a charm! Their staff and counselors are incredible when it comes to providing quality care for their residents. I highly recommend Michael's House if you're wanting to make a permanent change in your life. The adventure program they offer is loads of fun, too! It serves as proof that we can have fun clean and sober.

If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! They helped me with better parenting skills but I was able to fight my addiction and I have been sober since July 1st 2021. Special shout out to Shawna my counselor and Jessica my therapist. Great staff and invaluable lessons for recovery, relationships, personal development, self esteem and parenting classes. 👏 Been here twice, with a break in between, but so glad to come back and be welcomed with open arms and without judgment as a person, an addict and a first time mother going through the many challenges that come with that and other traumatic life events. ParentCare is a wonderful, healing place with caring staff.

I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I know how hard I struggled and for anyone reading this or questioning a start, I highly recommend this team. I am eternally grateful for my experience there.

Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

My experience at California Behavioral Health was absolutely amazing. CBH helped me so much with my recovery and I am now on the right path. The staff are so great and really care. The group therapy and individual therapy was very good. The rooms were very nice and the food was delicious. We got to go on many fun outings too to see that we can have fun sober. They also help with aftercare and check in regularly after you leave. Thank you CBH!

It feels impossible for me to adequately put into words what Phoenix Rising and their staff means to me. It’s been 9 months since I arrived there, totally broken, hopeless, scared, sick, sad, and ashamed. I was on the verge of death, either by suicide or my failing health due to my addiction and total breakdown. And now, I have hope, I have sobriety, and my life back. Their program is so special and so well rounded. They think outside of the box with their treatment and make mindful accommodations when necessary. Aside from the usual offerings of therapy, trauma work, 12 step meetings and sober fun days outside of the facility, there is meditation and sound baths, misc outings (hello mani pedi day and softball) and hiking, beautiful pools to swim in, art therapy, writing therapy, and so much more. You learn the science and psychology of addiction, trauma and recovery. You are fed delicious food. Most importantly, you are surrounded by a staff who cares so much. Whomever is responsible for their hiring has a true gift for choosing the right people. If you’re reading this and wondering, please go. Go to this safe, healing place. Expressing gratitude for Akua Mind and Body. I am going in 3yrs of sobriety and could not have found this path without the care I received at the Akua in-house treatment facility. Staff works hard to maintain a trustful and safe environment to learn and work on deep rooted issues that come with addictive behaviors. From my counselor Javier’s one liners always telling me, “take those small wins Dave” to my therapist coming up with a game plan to address issues wether there from your childhood or more recent. Huge shout out to Chef Becca that is a 1 women army and plays a huge role in nourishing in-house residents back to health and clear thinking with her delicious food. Would love to make a guest appearance as your sous chef any day Becca (if you see this🙏🏽). The road to sustainable recovery doesn’t stop when you coin out as a resident. Akua’s after care program aka “Akua Alumni” has played a pivotal role in my continued sobriety. The Thursday Akua Alumni 12 step meeting provides a home group meeting for me where I know I can listen, be heard or just because I’m broke and want free food cooked by chef Becca🤣. But seriously I’ve been through a lot of “changing of the guards” in terms of leadership for the alumni program. I love and appreciate everyone that has blessed us with their time, care and love (you know who you are) but today I can say that the culture and vibe with in-house peeps and alumni peeps is the strongest that I’ve seen. Big Thanks to Kersey for being an amazing coordinator that hired on during what I would call a rough patch. She has assembled and empowered key players (you know who you are) that have filled a void and a much needed heart beat to keep our meetings and activities fun, interesting and cost friendly if not free to our diverse Akua family. Thanks to everyone at Akua from top to bottom and all my Akua family that listen and support me through this journey. If you are reading this and yourself or someone you know is struggling with addiction, mental health, co dependency ect. I recommend reaching out to Akua as a recource for treatment. If they don’t have an answer for you they will get you to the right place.

I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. He chose his recovery center And he was there because he wanted to be there not because he wanted to be Not because he had to be there. He was not the easiest patient in the beginning, but he stuck it out because Made him feel comfortable as they treated him like family. His big guy there since January 5. My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. This alcohol detox San Diego substance abuse rehabilitation center saved my life. It was unlike the other California drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers that I attended prior. Their medical doctors provided me with a detailed treatment plan. This plan started at their alcohol detox centers San Diego then put me into their inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. This is where their treatment process differed. They performed a dual diagnosis. This got to the root of my addiction. I had several co-occurring disorders that were left untreated by other addiction treatment centers. While in the residential inpatient program I had one on one meetings with their credentialed substance abuse counselors. Harmony Grove Recovery is the best alcohol rehab in San Diego hands down. Their alcohol detox San Diego program is medically supervised. They gave me medication assisted treatment that not only reduced the painful withdrawal that I usually experience, but they almost eliminated it. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days. After completing that, I went to their residential inpatient drug rehabs San Diego program. I highly recommend this California drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.

HGR Mental Health Services is absolutely life saving. The staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable in many different mental illnesses and disorders. Their staff specializes in truly understanding the brain and how everything is affected. They are proficient in educating individuals on many different tools they can utilize to work through traumas and triggers. I really recommend to anyone that needs the help.
