If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! Michael’s House changed my life in matter of weeks. I did things that I never have thought I could and hearing from family members as much of a glow they see within me. I know at times I struggled tremendously with doubting myself but knowing the strong support system I had with the team members kept me afloat. First off I came back here for a reason, I initially came to Michael’s House in April on 22. Obviously I didn’t listen to their recommendations and tried it my way. This time around I was lucky they even took me being that I was on 200mg of methadone. But they had the knowledge and means to detox me safely! I was scared but the whole staff At inpatient to IOP to TLC was exemplary in their approach to help me. I could not have done it with out them, thank you to everyone that helped me on my journey, to many names to name!! I will forever hold Michael’s house deep in my heart! I love this place like home! I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I know how hard I struggled and for anyone reading this or questioning a start, I highly recommend this team. I am eternally grateful for my experience there.

Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

CBH was the biggest blessing to our life. The moment we spoke with Dave who answered the phone, we knew we had found the right place. It feels impossible for me to adequately put into words what Phoenix Rising and their staff means to me. It’s been 9 months since I arrived there, totally broken, hopeless, scared, sick, sad, and ashamed. I was on the verge of death, either by suicide or my failing health due to my addiction and total breakdown. And now, I have hope, I have sobriety, and my life back. You learn the science and psychology of addiction, trauma and recovery. You are fed delicious food. Most importantly, you are surrounded by a staff who cares so much. Expressing gratitude for Akua Mind and Body. I am going in 3yrs of sobriety and could not have found this path without the care I received at the Akua in-house treatment facility. Staff works hard to maintain a trustful and safe environment to learn and work on deep rooted issues that come with addictive behaviors. From my counselor Javier’s one liners always telling me, “take those small wins Dave” to my therapist coming up with a game plan to address issues wether there from your childhood or more recent. Huge shout out to Chef Becca that is a 1 women army and plays a huge role in nourishing in-house residents back to health and clear thinking with her delicious food. Would love to make a guest appearance as your sous chef any day Becca (if you see this🙏🏽). The road to sustainable recovery doesn’t stop when you coin out as a resident. Akua’s after care program aka “Akua Alumni” has played a pivotal role in my continued sobriety. The Thursday Akua Alumni 12 step meeting provides a home group meeting for me where I know I can listen, be heard or just because I’m broke and want free food cooked by chef Becca🤣. But seriously I’ve been through a lot of “changing of the guards” in terms of leadership for the alumni program. I love and appreciate everyone that has blessed us with their time, care and love (you know who you are) but today I can say that the culture and vibe with in-house peeps and alumni peeps is the strongest that I’ve seen. Big Thanks to Kersey for being an amazing coordinator that hired on during what I would call a rough patch. She has assembled and empowered key players (you know who you are) that have filled a void and a much needed heart beat to keep our meetings and activities fun, interesting and cost friendly if not free to our diverse Akua family. Thanks to everyone at Akua from top to bottom and all my Akua family that listen and support me through this journey. This is an excellent place. Everyone is competent, thorough, and caring. They provide yummy but healthy rich foods like fresh blueberries. The campus is enriched with things like waterfalls, a pond with turtles, fish, and frogs. Dog therapy. They actually have recreation specialists.

All employees here at SMV do a great job to make sure..you walk out feeling better..and with a plan to have a brighter future!

Ive been to Sharp Mesa Vista several times for treatment. They turned my life around and provided top notch care. It is a comfortable friendly environment and the staff and nurses are wonderful!!

I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. He chose his recovery center And he was there because he wanted to be there not because he wanted to be Not because he had to be there. My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer.
