If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! I was in Michael's house back in 2015 and did a month there and they have a good staff , And I also ate good there, they have real good food, and the hikes were nice and then the trip to Laguna Beach on the last weekend that was awesome can't believe it's already been 10 years since then, I recommend this place It's a good facility 👍

I completed treatment here seven years ago and it was life-altering; I continue to abstain from alcohol. I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I know how hard I struggled and for anyone reading this or questioning a start, I highly recommend this team. I am eternally grateful for my experience there.

Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

The group processing has been life changing for me. I’m getting so much from what I’m learning about the disease of alcoholism and how to how much alcohol has Distorted Reality. I’m learning to face life and how using alcohol to escape problems has only made my life easier.

I arrived at the Betty Ford Center with much trepidation. However, I was fortunate to be housed in Dupont Hall, where the 3 most amazing counselors are stationed. Jeff, with his hilarious way of relating and his enthusiastic sense of humor. Jaquie, With her analytical mind, intelligence, and encyclopedic knowledge. And Brian, with his love, care, nurturing compassion, and his treasure load of experience. The three of them are unparalleled, and unmatched.

I desperately needed to get sober & doing it on my own wasn’t working. I had no idea what to expect from this place. From my very first phone call, to the day I was discharged, the staff, nurses, techs & counselors were absolutely amazing & incredibly friendly & compassionate. The women I met and lived with at Fisher Hall surrounded me with nothing but love and support & for the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disease. The property was beautiful, the food was good & I loved cruising the book store. The psychiatrist, Young, however, was the only disappointing part of my 28 day stay. His comment, “…in 20 years, if you live that long,” was hurtful, especially for someone so vulnerable & new to rehab and sobriety. He also made other upsetting comments to other women in my hall, but that is not my story to tell. Other than that, my stay was amazing & it gave me the tools I desperately needed. Overall I had an excellent experience at BF - the only negative comment I could make was the atmosphere in detox- I found the the environment to be dark and depressing, the rooms smelly and a rare and occasion condescending staff member - the minute I walked into DuPont Hall everything changed- I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive and communicative group of patients - I felt very fortunate to have been assigned Bryan Wilmoth as my counselor- he is exceptional at what he does - the small group gatherings were the highlight of my time here at BF - Bryan provides a safe environment that allows people to open up and express themselves in a non judgmental way - he provides levity when necessary and the written exercises were enlighten and productive- I can’t say enough good things about Bryan - last thing - the food was inconsistent and could certainly be better in my opinion - thx for the opportunity to review my experience at the BFC

If you are looking for a sober living location this is the place. I stayed at Phoenix Rising in Palm Desert for over a month and had a wonderful experience. Thank you Sam and all the staff at Phoenix Rising for attending to all my needs, and truly caring about my health and sobriety. I did not not feel like I was just a number, my health was their priority.

This place is amazing ! Everything about this place is great. The food, the counselors, and all the staff are awesome. Staff is so helpful. My counselor Paul has been amazing. Another guy that's always helpful all around is Shep. He's a good role model and cool to talk to and have some laughs with. I recommend anyone who's really serious about sobriety to give this place a try! 10/10

Probably the best phych hospital in the county.

I fortunately haven't gone inpatient since I was 5 months post partum and the death of my mother in the same two month period in 2016. There were several years while I lived in San Diego, where I was at Mesa Vista almost monthly. I live in Pennsylvania now, and my mental health is really going down here. I'm considering flying to San Diego for inpatient care. I'm trying to hold on until after the holidays.. I'm just barely holding it together so my husband who works in the airline industry doesn't get fired for needing to take off during the worst time of the year (the holidays) to care for our young children. I really hope I can for the sake of my family. I would never go inpatient out here! Sharp Mesa Vista is bar none the BEST inpatient psychiatric hospital I've been in and I'm 51, first hospitalized at age 13! That's a LONG time to have experienced. I'm sure half of the nurses have retired. And probably no hospital allows vaping..but if I have to go through nicotine withdrawal for my mental health, I will. I really am not understanding why all psychiatric hospitals are on this no vaping/cigarette kick..we have enough going on! This isn't towards this hospital..but it is about the system. It's really just to have this appearance of health...when it's really more of being control freaks and that's a shame. I'm sure there's a lot of people who just won't even consider help for this one reason. I think it's ridiculous. It's not prison, the mentally ill are not criminals (usually)!

For the first time my family member didn’t feel like just a number in treatment. She felt loved on and Felt heard and was given treatment that superseded anything before. We are so grateful for Restore.

When I came to Restore, I had been struggling with a 7 year Heroin addiction. I had already been through three 30 day treatment programs. Nothing worked. I would leave rehab and go right back out and use. I was hopelessly looking for anything or anyone that could help me. I noticed right away that Restore was different. They only accept up to seven clients at a time, allowing a more personal experience. Restore gave me tools I had never been given before. They teach the SMART Recovery program rather than the same old 12 step programs that didn't work for me in the past. I would definitely recommend Restore Detox to anyone struggling with drugs or alcohol.

I like to thank Pacific Bay recovery for helping my husband and treating him like family. The staff helped him every step of the way, we have tried several rehabilitation centers and none of them worked. My Husband has been through a lot was addicted to everything was a very agitated man and I am so thankful to have my husband back and it’s all because of this program. He stayed in the copper house for two months and he loved it so much. It was hard to bring him home. He chose his recovery center And he was there because he wanted to be there not because he wanted to be Not because he had to be there. He was not the easiest patient in the beginning, but he stuck it out because Made him feel comfortable as they treated him like family. His big guy there since January 5. And they have truly been a blessing to our family Him get through his addictions, his mental state, they have great counselors Psychiatrist they have been a blessing. He is now changed man and a great husband And grandfather, I’m truthfully grateful Of your help I love you all!! My father has been attending this recovery place. Watching someone you love struggle is one of the most painful experiences life can offer. My father’s journey with addiction affected not only him, but our entire family. This rehab gave my dad a chance to step away from the chaos and begin to face the pain that fueled his addiction. This place has treated him greatly and I'll be forever grateful for what they have done. Since entering the program a few months ago, he has begun the hard work of healing. I finally feel like I have my dad back and could not be more thankful for the staff and everyone else included, truly. I HIGHLY recommend this place for someone and/or a family member struggling with addiction.

La Jolla Recovery helped me start healing in ways I didn’t expect. The program included space for creativity and some group sessions were actually gender inclusive, which mattered a lot to me. Not everything was perfect, could use more LGBTQ+ focused options. But overall it felt safe, and the staff got the trauma side of things. I'd come back if I needed to.

I came to La Jolla Recovery during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’d been dealing with a lot while trying to care for both my parents and my kids. What really helped was the outpatient option which let me keep some stability at home. The staff was mostly understanding and gave me space when I needed it. I do wish they had more language support or culturally aware groups. But overall I felt respected, safe and like I was finally getting real help.

You didn’t treat me like a client — you treated me like someone worth nurturing. Someone worth protecting. I love you dearly for that. Everyone here brings something different but needed: Shane’s grounded leadership, Sisqo’s energy, Veronica’s steady kindness. La Jolla Recovery doesn’t operate like a typical rehab — it feels like a safe landing. It feels like a place that believes in people before they believe in themselves. I left with more than sobriety. Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. They were my first choice because I saw that they accepted most health insurances. The alcohol detox lasted 8 days.
