I was a client in the Clark Center back in 2010..This places was amazing! School was good and made it easy for kids like myself. Went on field trips during school hours to places like camp coranado and Balboa park, even had a flag football team that played against other flag fb teams around the county. At the Clark center, 4 favorite staff that I remember, also not sure if they still work there, but they genuinely cared about the job and kids they worked with. Mr. O, Mr. Alex, and Mr. Dan and Ms. Tina...Mr. O would wake the unit up every morning for Breakfast and school playing a specific humorous song(forgot it)...I forgot to mention the therapeutic drum program offered at the school and I think it was called Blues Tuesday, where anyone could go up on the stage and perform something musical...This places is one of the few Children's Youth programs in this state that I would recommend

I was a client in the RTC here for 8 months. It was a hard time for me mentally and emotionally, but overall I gained usefull skills and irreplaceable experiences, good and bad. I now work in mental health as a Peer Support Specialist. Hopefully, I can work in the SDCC RTC at some point as well. Mr Joe was my favorite staff during my time as a client.

This place saved my life. When I was at my worst and my absolute rock bottom- Pemarro was there to help my family to get me into detox. I had never been to treatment before and was very scared and did not know what to expect but the staff at Pemarro made the experience so comforting. If it wasn't for their help, nurturing and guidance I wouldn't be where I am today. I have 10 months sober today- and the first day I stepped foot in there has been my sobriety date and has not changed. Groups, food, activities and it's peaceful nature surroundings is perfect to escape from the craziness that addiction and alcoholism throws at us. It is a perfect place to relax and self reflect. Not to mention, they have a house dog there named Parker- who will become your cuddle buddy and walk around outside with you. Carlin, Jen and scott taught me so much and helped guide me through the whole process. I am forever thankful for Pemarro! You will not be dissapointed if this is where you begin your new happy, free and joyous life!

I fortunately haven't gone inpatient since I was 5 months post partum and the death of my mother in the same two month period in 2016. There were several years while I lived in San Diego, where I was at Mesa Vista almost monthly. I live in Pennsylvania now, and my mental health is really going down here. I'm considering flying to San Diego for inpatient care. I'm trying to hold on until after the holidays.. I'm just barely holding it together so my husband who works in the airline industry doesn't get fired for needing to take off during the worst time of the year (the holidays) to care for our young children. I really hope I can for the sake of my family. I would never go inpatient out here! Sharp Mesa Vista is bar none the BEST inpatient psychiatric hospital I've been in and I'm 51, first hospitalized at age 13! That's a LONG time to have experienced. I'm sure half of the nurses have retired. And probably no hospital allows vaping..but if I have to go through nicotine withdrawal for my mental health, I will. I really am not understanding why all psychiatric hospitals are on this no vaping/cigarette kick..we have enough going on! This isn't towards this hospital..but it is about the system. It's really just to have this appearance of health...when it's really more of being control freaks and that's a shame. I'm sure there's a lot of people who just won't even consider help for this one reason. I think it's ridiculous. It's not prison, the mentally ill are not criminals (usually)!

Bella monte is simply the best and I mean the best rehab I’ve ever attended. My 6th one. From the great staff (people just like me and you, addicts), from the different foods they provide. 3 hot meals a day. And u can make ur own food and munch thru out the day. To the rooms. Amazing clean private so comfy beds. Pillows suck tho. Ain’t gonna lie. It’s literally a 5 start resort rehab. The peace and tranquility it gives your mind is exactly what u need and crave for in the time after drug abuse. Every staff member that was there in the month of April 2025 will forever be In my heart! There part of my recovery and the reason I am sober today still . I love you guys and gals. Going to Soledad was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This program genuinely saved my life. I walked in scared and unsure, and I walked out with lifelong friends, a stronger sense of self, and a support system I never expected to find.
The staff at Soledad truly care. Neetra and Michelle were absolutely amazing—supportive, patient, and always there when I needed someone to talk to or a simple reminder that I wasn’t alone. They treated all of us like actual human beings, not just clients passing through.
And Mary… I don’t even have enough words. She is the best therapist I could have ever asked for. She understood me, challenged me, and helped me grow in ways I didn’t know were possible. She played such a huge part in my healing, and I’m forever grateful for her.

Their overall service is great. Their Doctors and technicians are very good. The audiology use to have a 2 hour open time to get adjustments, etc (Before Covid). that was stopped -now it is by appointment only and usually 1 to 2 months.

My experience at Able 2 Change was amazing! Life changing. It really was first class. The staff was very professional and helpful. Everyone is super nice and friendly. This facility exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff is incredibly caring and dedicated, and the doctors and facilitators are both friendly and knowledgeable. After 40 years of stress, chaos, heartbreak and exhaustion, when I finally found CA Care we had been thru ER visits and nine other transfers, until I found this amazing program. I love MFI Recovery. From the moment I started this program it has been nothing but a blessing.
The staff there has been so supportive ,caring, and motivating. Their ability to cater to each of the individual needs of all the people that attend classes there is incredible.
Tho I am not blood related to anyone there, I feel as tho I am part of a family that loves and respects me and that truly cares about my success in overcoming my addiction.
I would recommend that anyone that is feeling alone or abandoned in their addiction go in to MFI on Tuesday and talk to Jessica.
