This review is for Dr. Bae and her staff at Mills Peninsula Hospital! Dr. Bae is a fabulous vascular surgeon along with her staff, everyone was competent and patient. Her presence was very calm and friendly and she provided excellent care to my mom. My mom needed an emergency catheter and Dr. Bae was so gracious to take care of her. Obviously when the clinician tells you that you need to be admitted you are nervous, but Dr. Bae and staff were able to calm my mom and make her feel secured. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Bae and her graciousness!

My husband had a tumor removed from his spinal cord on August 15th, 2025, he had a great experience. From the nurses in the ICU to the ones once he went to a regular room. I don't know their last names but a big THANK YOU to Clair and Joey in ICU and Krystal and Anna Louisa. To Dr. Stephen Ryu, Dr. Paul Jackson, Alondra Gutierrez and all the operating room staff. Just wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ning. A couple of months ago, my grandmother was facing the possibility of heart surgery which was scary, but thanks to her incredible care, she didn’t need it. She was able to place a stent instead, and took such wonderful care of her every step of the way. She explained everything clearly, answered all our questions with patience, and made sure she felt safe and supported throughout the entire process. I truly felt like she was in the best hands and she was. I’m beyond thankful for her. She made a difficult time so much easier on me and my family, and I’ll always remember her kindness.

My husband has been receiving care at this VA medical center and hospital since 2002. Everyone is wonderful. The MSA’s are always so helpful and kind. The cleanliness at this medical center is outstanding! The doctors and nurses are excellent and very good at what they do. We live in a remote area, it is well worth the 5 hour drive to come to this Medical Center for treatment. You know that no matter what specialty or department, you are always going to receive excellent service.

Been coming here for a long, long time Through my recovery I have had many counselors some better than others funny how things happen my husband transferred to Medmark from BAART in Oakland crazy we both ended up on Rich’s case load { R.I.P. RICH another great counselor } so you know we both can’t have the same counselors so of course I got kicked to the curb. Best curb I got kicked to { so to speak. } which is currently Nicole Martinez, the best I’ve ever had , She definitely help me get to where I am now she goes above and beyond helped me in my life so much, I don’t even know what I’m gonna do when we goes our separate ways 😔..I wish I can take her with me. I wish I can give her 20 ⭐️’s but was only given an option of 5 ⭐️.

New Bridge offers an exceptionally talented team of, staff members, addiction specialist, and clinician's who've helped me address my co-occurring substances and mental health issues. The New Bridge environment (residential treatment facility, & extended satellite sober living environment), are safe and clean, and provide the type of space where I was able to successfully focus on, addiction & mental health curriculums, group therapy, as well as personalized "one-on-one" therapy/counseling sessions. Additionally, the treatment facility environment is supportive of "peer-to-peer" feed back & coping skills, "focus" and "affirmation tools".., all (to which I found) have great value in early recovery...!
What I enjoyed most about New Bridge is the dignified and professional way each staff member treated me, and treated me as valued (from the newest staff member, to the kitchen staff, to nurse staff, maintenance staff, the on-site doctors, to group staff, the clinical coordinator staff, the assistant director, up to the director). These staff members, all, display a "real human" level of authenticity and care...! I'm truly happy that I chose New Bridge..!!!
I will offer this thought to anyone who is wondering if this is the right place, or not..., "if you have a true and real desire to gain recovery, everything you will need to assist you, to help you focus, guide & support you in the process of recovery.., can be found at New Bridge..!!!" Would recommend to anyone who has the desire to change their life. Tools that will last me a lifetime and helped me learn to take accountability. Perfection isn’t possible when dealing with a lot of people who are sick, but they do a darn good job. I felt important. I felt that they always had my best interest at heart. Special shout out to all of the counselors and milieu staff who work their butts off!

Came here for a dentist appointment. Very busy place with strict policies regarding lateness. Most of the staff were professional and welcoming. The young Asian receptionist on the 5th floor was especially friendly and kind.

Tranquility is the best place I’ve been to. They have taken care of me very well and equipped me with the right tools to succeed once I left. The houses are very clean and well managed! The food is amazing! If you or a loved one need help with mental or substance abuse issues, I highly recommend coming here.

I was locked out due to an unlawful eviction in 2022 & lived in my car for a month while attending St Mary's center. I was a breast cancer survivor until 2023 when I was diagnosed cancer-free & in Feb of that year I was housed in a transitional room through St Mary's. They gave me a safe community where I was able to restart my life, take care of my mental & physical health issues, & in Jan 2024 they helped me get permanent stable housing at Depot Community Apts in Hayward. I stsyed there for 2 months . Best thing I did was the picc line. So I did not need to get pocked every am. The nurses were fantastic. Dennis santos the picc line guy was awesome very professional and no pain. Thank you den. I lost my phone their and I could not buy a new one. Staff is not allowed to buy you anything.i would consider staying their again..

I rated Villa 5 stars because this was the only place I was able to be comfortable. They had a daily schedule of different things to do. During your stay you can have visitors and after the 72 hr hold give you passes to leave the campus for an hour or so. The staff was great and the patients were also welcoming. If I needed help this is where I would go. Thank you for saving me.. from myself.

I gotta give these guys 5 stars mainly because the only other review is an (in my opinion) unfair one star rating. I was in Villa Fairmont several years ago and while it may have had some problems (more like a 3.5 or 4 star) it was a place that helped me stabilize in a safe location until I was accepted in a Dual Diagnosis Recovery Home (Bonita House). I currently work in the recovery field and live an independent life. To me that is worth all of the struggles that I have had with any of the programs I have been in. Gotta go through hell before you get to heaven. That's just the way it is when you have a diagnosis that isn't socially acceptable... The system may not be perfect and there is certainly lots of broken components, but we need some kind of system and it does work for some. I know because I'm one.

OMG this place is amazing and work miracles up on that 5th floor in 28 days! Not sure about having to be a celebrity or whatever that one post said unless they are talking about ghetto celebrities. Terry and the staff he gots up on the 5th floor are the bombdigity trust and believe me on dat one fsho. (for the teen unit) This place generally was one of the most helpful places ever all the staff was so incredibly sweet, the OTs especially shout out to Hana (one of the OTS) because she was so amazing, the groups were very well done and it was so incredibly supportive there, there where also a lot of fun activites like painting nails, writting afirmation cards, bracelet making, movie nights, playing bordgames, all the other teenagers that where there well I was there where abosulte sweet hearts and I ended up staying in touch with them one I got discharged- the nurses where all pretty good but shoutout to my nurse Elena she was so helpful and really was able to support me through any needs, this place save my life and got me out of the deep end and am so incredibly thankful for all of it<3 thank you Alta bates phscy ward

This place saved my life. The first time I came here, I was 12 years old. I was very scared but the staff were really nice and supportive. The program is really helpful, I'd recommend this place to any child who is struggling with mental health. They also have a program to treat ED's. I've been to the 3 East B adolscent psych unit multiple times, so I'm very familiar with everyone. The therapist Emilio, Megan, and Susanna were so nice to me, and a nurse named Chris. I spent 2 of my birthdays here, my 13th and my 14th. They made it a fun time even if we were in a hospital:) The patients I've been with were always really nice. Not much drama happens in this hospital. Thanks to this hospital, I am now happy in life, learning to cope with stressful situations. Thank you, Alta Bates.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to detox at, the staff really cares for the clients and is super easy to talk to and joke around with. We went on outings almost every other day walking up and down the bay. Trevor, Dan and Alicia were so nice and encouraging. I’ve been struggling with addiction for the past 3 years and this place was pivotal in my success in recovery.
