Kaiser is a good mental healthcare provider, and they do refer you as needed. Book your appointment and be your best: Therapy, group and individual and referral out to weekly for awhile so effective have not required any medications. But the person they paired me up with has been an essential bedrock of support through all that I have been going through for the past two years. The only issue I have had is length between appointments, and if I have to reschedule I end up having to wait at minimum another 3-4 weeks. I am thankful I can wait that long, but I know that it could be a problem for those who might benefit from more frequent help. This place feels very homey, but at the same time it’s definitely high-end and has a lot of amenities that I don’t think you’d find at many other inpatient rehabs, like a theater room, jacuzzi, gym, resources, beautiful rooms. It’s also really beautiful and peaceful here, which has helped a lot during this process. The group therapy sessions are very intimate, and the people in group are genuinely non-judgmental. I work with Kristine, who has been amazing. Just graduated IOP and i feel confident with getting out there and working on my sobriety personally. Dr. Smeester (“Dan”) is great. He has a very warm and gentle presence, and it’s clear that he really cares about helping people who are struggling with addiction. He doesn’t judge. he listens carefully and accommodates any extra need you need. I had a great experience, and learned a lot. They provide aftercare for all graduates no matter when they graduated. I personally continue to attend aftercare every Wednesday, free of charge. A lot of the negative reviews here seem to come from people who expect results without consistency, honesty, or responsibility. Recovery is not easy, and no clinic can do the work for you if you are still trying to manipulate the system instead of change your life. From my experience, the staff here have always been respectful, supportive, encouraging, and available whenever possible. At the same time, people need to understand that counselors, nurses, and staff members are dealing with many patients every single day — including individuals who repeatedly miss appointments, ignore expectations, or waste the time and energy of people who are genuinely trying to help them. Staff members are human too, and I think many of the complaints fail to recognize the amount of patience required to work in this environment day after day. What stands out the most to me is that this clinic encourages actual recovery and accountability instead of simply handing out medication and sending people on their way. If you consistently show up, communicate honestly, and take your sobriety seriously, the support is absolutely there. I also want to specifically recognize the director, Kim, because she is honestly one of the most compassionate, respectful, genuine human beings I have ever met. The amount of patience, understanding, and support she gives to people — even during difficult situations — deserves recognition. She has played a huge role in my recovery journey and continues to support people however she can, even when she does not have to. Running a program like this cannot be easy, especially while dealing with so many different personalities and situations, but she continues to show professionalism, empathy, and strength every day. At the end of the day, recovery only works when the individual decides they are truly ready. No program is perfect, but in my experience, the people working here genuinely care about those who are serious about changing their lives. Cars homes kids family money. I lost everything. I came to archway recovery services October 11th 2024 having no idea who I was or what to do about my addiction to methamphetamine. They taught me about my triggers and how to identify them. They taught me patience. I was planning to go for 45 days and graduate and ended up staying a whole 90 and going to SLE (SOBER LIVING ENVIRONMENT) I found out where I was in my recovery when I never even knew there was a place i I could be which was I was in preparation and by the time I got out was in action. The Rech Techs (to many to name)are very nice and professional. The managers Ms. Donna and Ms. Letti are very nice and professional and amazing people. The executive director Kevin is also an amazing person. This program is like none I have ever been to. It has a panel to go through before you graduate and the reason for that is to be sure you are ready for the outside world before you enter it. Some people may not like it but I loved the way they ran it. It's a very special place and I would recommend it to anyone in this world who has ANY kind of addiction. The names I still remember are Dr Altman, Brandy, and Michelle. I'm 33 years old now and I am thankful my parents brought me here. The memories of this place prompted me to look it up. This place helped me realize my worth and that I am more than my ED. Rooth is a queen, so is Daisy and Jo. The staff here are so supportive and kind. This was a great expirience. Sky Vázquez 1 year ago I attended CFD in 2011 as an adolescent. I’m lucky I had the privilege to rehabilitate here. Of course while I was 16 and 17 years old I hated everything. My freedom was taken away and everything was very regimented. But in hindsight I see the purpose for it all. CFD was the only thing that worked for me long term in healing my eating disorder. This program is excellent and I highly recommend to parents with children struggling with an eating disorder that has taken over their life. The first time I was pretty unwell but it wasn’t too bad. The next time I went through, I had a great time and did much better because I myself was better. To be upfront, many people who went through were facing homelessness without the intervention of laurel creek. Many of the clients had been homeless in the past. This place needed a good grant of extra funding to make it a little better. There were a lot of plumbing issues and I tend to think the place needs a decent amount of work. Overall is was good. The counselors were professional and helpful. I’m hoping I don’t need to return for a 3rd trip but I found that if you just go with the program, it’s not too bad. It’s a crisis center so people are usually not at their best when being there.
