Elevate helped save my son's life! One year ago, I was on a desperate search for a place that would help my son quit drinking. I went online and was so overwhelmed with all the choices! I called a couple places and was not impressed with what they offered.
I prayed to God He would lead me to the right place, and He did! The 3rd place I called, this nice guy named Josh answered, and right away, we connected. I asked questions, he asked questions. What I loved about what he said, was that they did not rely on prescribing a bunch of meds to "fix" my son, but offered an in depth program that included exercise as part of the journey to recovery, and to ultimately learn to not rely on anything to self medicate ever again.
Ding! I knew he would love something like this, and the more Josh talked, the more I wanted to get my son on a plane! Of course, the final decision was up to him, and at that point, he was ready for a major change, and trusted my judgement. Thank God!
Within days, my son was up north and that was the beginning of his new life because today marks his ONE YEAR from not having a drop of alcohol! In fact, he liked Elevate so much, he stayed up there, trained heavily for 3 months, and is now an employee who helps counsel new clients. He earned Employee of the Month last month and I couldn't be more proud of the hard work he did and does for himself.
I can't thank Elevate enough for the part they played in his recovery. It was divine intervention and I'm so grateful he chose himself and continues to live out his purpose. Thank you to the team at Elevate!

Monterey, California | Harmony Place, located in Monterey, California, provides outpatient treatment to adults aged 18 and over who are living with co-occurring disorders. Their primary focus is on treating eating disorders, addiction, and psychiatric conditions. Alcohol and drug rehab services are provided through outpatient levels of care. The partial hospitalization | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I came to Harmony struggling with major depression, complex trauma, and depersonalization-derealization disorder. After an extended stay at Harmony, I can confidently say that most of my symptoms have subsided and that I feel excited to start my next chapter with a fresh perspective on life.
Harmony uses an attachment-based model of trauma therapy, which was one of the main reasons I chose to come here. Many complex trauma survivors have disorded attachment and therapy with a relational focus has been the most effective for me.
The program offers individual therapy multiple times a week, core group therapy, art, drama, psychoeducational, and CBT/DBT skills classes. I've found the variety of classes to be useful at different phases in my time here.
The staff is exceedingly compassionate and actively invested in your well-being and success in the program. From the therapists to the front desk, I've felt thoroughly safe and supported under their care.
Furthermore, the community has some of the kindest people I've met and I've formed deep fulfilling friendships with the other clients.
Thank you to Mark, Lori, my individual therapist Hayden, and each and every staff member for playing a part in transforming my life.

Harmony Place changed my life. Even starting at intake, I was welcomed with nurturing and encouraging arms. My individual therapist and I created a deep bond, and I truly felt safe enough with her to face my deepest fears, insecurities, and traumas. The entire staff is so sensitive, welcoming, and truly brilliant. I came in terrified, trembling in my seat and by the end I was able to walk up to therapists with a smile, speak my needs, and ultimately - feel safe and at home - within the program and within myself. I healed what I came for, and also healed and addressed things I never knew were there within me. This place has transformed and freed me. Anybody considering intake, as I once was, I encourage you to take that leap of faith. I know how terrifying it is. But it will be so worth it, more than you can even imagine. This is what happened with me. I love Harmony Place, it will always have a special place in my heart and I am so grateful. And this is just a summary!

Harmony Place is very special and I feel like I was just given a beautiful gift! I came here because I needed to admit that I am an alcoholic and wanted to work on why I kept drinking. I worked closely with the team of therapists and my own individual therapist to figure out what was going on in my past which was causing me to drink in the present. I have been sober for 61 days and counting and learned a lot about myself, who I am, how I want to be as a mom, friend, spouse, etc.
I have never done any sort of rehab program before and I can tell this particular one is extra special! The therapists, the doctor, the classes and groups that are focused on certain tracks, they all work together to create a perfect setting for people to feel safe healing and working on how to get better. I will miss this special place but I am very excited to go into the “real world” and use the tools I have now to enjoy life to its fullest! Thank you!!!

What really struck me about this program is the attention to each individual client and their intention to "bring as much of home" into the program as possible. The program highly focuses on clients relations( relation to self, to others, to their culture, their spirituality) and works at tailoring healing through the lens of these relationships. They also focus on healthy relation to movement, which I think is a really great aspect of the program. And in regards to the Monterey location, it is in such a beautiful spot. I've been going there as a patient and even worked there off and on since it was named "Triad" back in the late 90s and it's a great clinic for MMT/MAT. At times it's definitely been less than perfect, particularly in the past (2003 to 2005). But since Janus has taken over they're far more consistent and reliable now.
Counselors can be a mixed bag, but that's true anywhere and the vast majority of the time they're great. It's a good program, you just have to be willing to work it. Do that and you have a very high chance that you'll succeed.
