The day I walked through the front door at the Lighthouse, I was broke with no place to call home. I had spent a lifetime losing everything and everyone I cared about. I had absolutely nothing. I told myself I'd stay for 90 days. I ended up staying for more than a year.
The manager at the Lighthouse gave me the blueprint to turn my life around. In many ways he saved my life. Even now I call him Doctor because he is so knowledgeable.
It's hard to put into words how significant the Lighthouse and its manager have played a part in my life. I've been sober for almost five years and I owe it all to them.

My stay at Lighthouse was life changing. In addition to providing the environment that I needed to catapult my road to recovery, I was able to form friendships that have continued on. The house is clean and well maintained. Alan the House Manager, truly cares about each individual and their well-being. Weekly house meetings are mandatory and off sight therapy is encouraged and reviewed. Highly recommend for those seeking a safe, positive environment for reco ery.

I completed my time In May 2025 and graduated in June 2025. During my time at California Prime Recovery I learned a great deal about myself. The staff, facilitators, there, counselors were all on point to support, assist, plan, exceptional guidance to recovery and coping strategies based on your individual needs to overcome any addiction, substance issue or mental health. The overall staff have great pride and are really genuine in everything they do. I had no complaints only compliments. I have been battling addiction since my early twenties and thought that I had tried everything but always left treatment centers feeling like I should have gotten more or like I had more problems then before I got there. After leaving Hollywood Hills I feel the complete opposite. From the first time I spoke with Nick, who is one of the owners, I felt like they really cared about helping me. I am not from the area and they helped me get to the treatment center and i probably never would have made it if it hadn't been from that alone. From there I was greeted by smiles, hugs and encouraging amounts of love. The groups were fun and enlightening and not mundane and cookie cutter. It's like they someone actually put themselves in my shoes for once because I could feel the empathy and compassion from all of the staff and the other clients. I was given one on one therapy session by a licensed therapist and had the opportunity to look into my problems and past the obvious. My medical needs were attended to. If I wasn't in group and was going through something there was always someone there was always a qualified individual there that would listen to me or even watch a movie with me. I feel like me again and I would be lying if I said that I would feel that way even if I didn't go to Hollywood Hills Recovery. I cannot say enough good things about Windward Way! I had reached a point in my addiction where I was headed down a slippery slope toward losing it all. Through my higher power, my family was able to see I needed help and helped me get in touch with Windward Way. I didn't know anything about Rehab or treatment centers, but from talking to others they can be vastly different. Many putting profits and business over people and healing. Not Windward. Every person who works there truly cares about you as a person and how they can best help you in your journey. I felt heard and cared for. My case worker Jeri is top notch. Helpful, knowledgeable and most of all loving. There are too many techs to mention by name but each one was on par. The groups led by the facilitators were so helpful. Each facilitator brought a different style. Ken and his love for the big book, Kelly and her love of teaching us through art and inner peace, Chad and his ability to tell a story or set up a learning environment that draws you in intellectually. Tony is exceptional in just chopping it up, but always ensuring we left with a valuable tool. Otis and his ability to understand everyone in the room even given our vast age differences. Gerald and his desire to keep us involved in after care. My house manager Monica for truly listening to each housemates concerns, and I cannot forget my therapist Christina for all the insight she gave me into why I am they way I am. Antonio, the Executive Director, goes above and beyond for every client. When I called, he immediately sprang into action and secured my spot in treatment with unmatched drive and dedication. The therapeutic staff is exceptional—highly educated, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. Every group session provided real learning and takeaways that supported my growth.
What makes The Canyon different is the genuine care and community they foster. The environment they create allows you to feel supported, encouraged, and capable of building real recovery. I have been to a multitude of treatment centers in and outside of California, Avedis Recovery is by FAR the most caring, authentic, and helpful place I have ever been to. It is the ONLY place that I was able to stay sober during my entire time and where I was able to find the confidence in myself to stay sober and where I found real growth. They care. Every other treatment center it was very clear that the management and program directors were really only involved for the money. The program director at Avedis is not, he and all other staff GENUINELY CARE!! Usually at other places you never see the director but here you see him almost everyday, he is involved and genuinely cares about people here and their sobriety. With the help of Avedis Recovery I was able to gain a newfound confidence in myself, my family’s trust, my faith in God, and most of all a clear and sober mind. Anchored Tides is the place for you if you are considering changing you current status with addiction. Thanks to the committed and passionate owners/staff, I now have a completely different life today! I was accepted into this program during the worst time of my life, and they above and beyond to help me repair and regain things that had been lost in my addiction such as HOPE. After years of battling alcoholism, I finally surrendered and flew out to LA from St. Louis, MO to get into recovery. I entered the detox facility on 5/21/2025, graduated to the sober living facility on 6/22/2025 and graduated the IBH program today on 9/18/2025.
