Even post discharge they have weekly in person and online alumni groups which are fantastic and the facilitators of those groups genuinely care. My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Our daughter had been prescribed a strong medication after she was hurt during gymnastics practice. We never expected it to lead to an addiction. We re so grateful to the staff of Beachside for helping her when we could not.

Anxiety has turned into such a buzzword as of late. Hearing it so often ended up desensitizing us to some issues our son was going through. I was in a car accident 30 years ago and severed my foot broke my back and was in the ICU for 24 days. I spent years having reconstructive surgeries and hours of physical therapy. As I got older they put me on a pain cocktail which I stayed on for seventeen years.I was in and out of a wheelchair and walked with a cane. I never thought that I would have any sort of quality of life. I m living a life now where I can travel and watch my grandchildren. I even got a dog that I take on walks without a cane. I do Pilates and yoga and feel better than I have in decades. The pain recovery program was ground breaking for me, The team of doctor s Dr. Mel and Dr. Les and therapist s Christiana and Morgan are AMAZING . The food and accommodations were 5 star. The attention to your individuality was impressive. What they do can not be beat by any other program out there. All the staff took a real interest in my well being with genuine concern. Thank you for giving me my life back team.

My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

My adult son had been in two prior outpatient rehabs. When insurance covered his treatment at Cliffside, I was initially skeptical of such a luxury experience with weekly massages, sound baths, acupuncture, cleaning and laundry service, fresh, organic cooked meals, outings, yoga, trips to the gym and spectacular views. It seemed more like a vacation I thought. But, it turned out to be just what my son needed. With these experiences and the small ratio of clients:providers, he was able to finally open up and start addressing the pain he had been numbing with substances. Tanya, his case manager, helped him with his needs and setting him up with outpatient care. Roxan, his therapist, was a tremendous help to him. Family sessions are available and the nurses and tech staff also offered great support. Patients have to option to be taken to AA, Smart Start, and NA meetings as well. My son didn't want to leave! My only suggestion would be to have online family meetings available in the evenings/after work hours. I am very grateful for the care my son received.

This time it has really stuck for me. My life is free and reset. The houses make you feel like your at home. The staff is great! I worked as a program aide at Visions for 8 months. I saw the innermost workings of the company and worked directly with the kids. Working as a program aide at Visions was the most meaningful time of my life. Program aides spend the most time with the kids, and because of that I was able to watch the transformation happen.I saw kids come into Visions in psychosis, in deep depression, in immense anxiety, and in general suffering. I watched many miracles happen over the course of 45-60 days. And I saw those same kids who came into Visions so sick leave completely changed. Visions works because of their insistence on the family work. While Visions' residents are doing the work, their parents are doing the work along with them. Each kid at Visions has a Family Therapist, and individual therapist, a psychiatrist, an internist, a host of program aids, and a depth of specialty clinicians for CBT therapy, DBT therapy, eating disorders, OCD, ASD, Trauma.These kids have more help at their disposal at Visions than any human generally ever experiences. Offering this level of support in such a critical time in a teen's life sets them up for successes beyond their and their parents' dreams. I know because I saw it. I directly experienced the change.Visions is a beautiful place and I am grateful for every minute I got to tech there.

I have been searching for support for my son for months now and after exhausting correspondences with 40+ treatment centers across the country, Doug at BNI treatment centers has been nothing short of a breath of fresh that has filled me with hope in this difficult process. He also took the time to personally contact me to support us in navigating where would be the best fit for us whether it was with his program or elsewhere. I went to BNI Calabasas in 2021. The first few days were hard, but the staff made me feel absolutely comfortable and validated. I ve been to other residentials and I can tell you, this place is the best option. The groups are still memorable to this day, being educational and valuable for life. I was only 13 when I went in and had a group full of a lot older kids then me, I found a lasting friendship with a girl in there who was the same age as me who is still my best friend to this day. And when we both got on Level 3, they let us become roommates! It was honestly a great experience for being a treatment center. I absolutely LOVE and MISS Rose so much! So many other staff who helped me and sat with me through the laughs and the tears! BNI is a great place for troubled or lost teens. I absolutely loved all the activities we did (Equine therapy with horses, swimming , surfing, going on outings). This place is genuine and as fun a rehab can get To this day, I remember Rose being the most amazing rehab mom ever and she is someone I will always remember and respect! Thank you BNI for the support, treatment, and tools you gave me to succeed in life!

I don't have the space here to say everything I want about how spectacular BNI is. Their professionalism, courtesy, and expertise were off the charts. There were little things that could be tweaked about the program but no program will be perfect. This one was pretty close. This is a really nice place! It is located in a good neighborhood. The facility is large with really attractive comfortable furniture. There are a lot of areas to make enough space for everyone. There is even a large backyard with hammocks and a meditation area. The resident drug and alcohol counselor, Chris, is very compassionate and has lots of resources to help change people's lives.

This place is the right choice to make a fresh start! A supportive and ultra comfortable home like environment where you can heal and grow.

Genesis is a great option for individuals who need an outpatient program to integrate into after residential treatment, if you re struggling with alcohol/drug misuse, or you are substance dependent and would benefit from structure and accountability.Their program uses best based practices and they do a great job at tailoring treatment plans to an individuals own unique and personal needs. The individual and group counseling were always super helpful and the staff truly want to see you succeed. They offer a friends and family night which was very critical in re establishing trust and ongoing support from those close to you in your life.In addition, they have a strong after care community in which you are encouraged to be apart of after completing treatment.If you have the pleasure of conversing with the owner Athena, be sure to pick her brain as she is very knowledgeable in the field of treatment and addiction. It is from my experience she is attentive and does an appreciable job at reflecting meaning within her conversations. Her superb counseling skills and expertise in the field really motivate her clients to find it within themselves to make positive steps towards change.
