This place helped me get off Xanax . I was on it for 11 years. I was able to do a 32 day taper using kolonopin here . It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be , not easy but not as bad an experience as I had heard about. It kind of feels like a hotel and the experience feels like school , the staff is very nice and accommodating here .

It was my first time going into treatment and I was scared to fly to California. I'm happy I made the decision to trust Enlight with my safety and wellbeing. These people really know how to change lives, speaking from experience. I was battling with alcohol, drugs and mental health issues that I was never able to address. I was scared that my job was going to penalize me but the team worked well with my employer so that I can really take my time and focus on my recovery. This was the best decision I have ever made. I feel changed, finally ready to live the life I deserve. Thank you to Enlight and the doctors here for saving my life. This was the best decision I have ever made

As I sit here, dead of winter in Upstate New York. I appreciate the time I spent at Enlight Treatment center. This is usually the time I would look for something to lift my mood. Depression gets the best of me and I spiral. I was able to really open up there. I was able to unload and place a lot of my unresolved feelings aside. They really have wonderful people there. If you're serious about getting rid of whatever it is you need to get rid of.. I would absolutely go! The food wasn't too bad either😘

My 12 year old son stayed at Beachside for two months in the spring and we brought home a changed child. After struggling with some significant trauma, the counselors that worked with my son were truly wonderful. The weekend activities were excellent including boating and trips to amusement parks. During the week, he learned to surf, completed his school curriculum so that he could graduate from his regular education elementary school, and took hikes at beautiful locations around Malibu. He loved the food, and participated in group and music therapy as well as individual counseling. We spoke on the phone most nights and had great weekend visits. My son is now a thriving 7th grader, enjoying school and close relationships with his friends. I would encourage anyone struggling to give your child the gift of this healing environment.

Before I begin writing this review, I would like to let whoever is reading this know that you are already taking the necessary steps to create a better way of life and healthier way of thinking.
I needed help in my life and Elevation Behavioral Health provided the care and tools I was in search for. Starting from the admissions process until my final day, the Elevation staff went above and beyond. Stephanie, was in charge of my admissions, which she made seamless. Stephanie responded to all my emails and phone calls in a timely fashion and with great care.
At the Calabasas house, I had the privilege to have Michele as my therapist. I owe her my life with how attentive and caring she was for me. Michele was compassionate, funny, and direct - something I needed. I could go on and on about how great of a therapist she was for me, but I do not know if there would be enough characters for me to write a review. Thank you Michele.
The coaches and chefs, all of whom were therapists within their own right, were fantastic. In a place where you already feeling vulnerable they made it feel like home. Friendly, compassionate, and wonderful human beings overall is not enough to say about them. (Again, worried about the character limit here.) I want to thank them all and would give them all a gold stars if I could.
If you do end up in the Calabasas house, I have left a letter for you, the client, to read, from one friend to another. You got this. You're right where you need to be. Most of all, you're making the correct and best decision by coming to Elevation.

Inpatient treatment creates a safe, secure, and structured environme | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I recently completed a month’s stay at The Pointe and am writing this review so that others dealing with pain and/or substance dependence consider this program.
This is an exceptional program for many reasons— the sheer beauty and tranquility of its location overlooking the ocean, the exceptionally caring and highly skilled non-medical and medical staff, the content of the program itself and its application of cutting edge science in the treatment of both pain and addiction, and the remarkably healthy and delicious food prepared with care and attention to individual dietary needs.
I highly recommend this program. It meets one where they are and helps one navigate through a difficult time, providing resources, skills, and self-knowledge to continue on one’s own.

This place changed and SAVED my life. It gave me a safe space to heal and provided trustworthy caregivers, doctors and therapists to give me guidance into sobriety and emotional healing. I am 4 months and 24 days clean from drugs and alcohol and I would recommend The Pointe to everyone and anyone. Your loved one or yourself will be taken care of here and it’s so worth it. I have been to other treatment centers in my first bout of trying to get sober in 2020 and The Pointe goes above and beyond. I’m at a completely different mindset and although getting sober is hard work, I truly think The Pointe not only is a beautiful and sacred place to get sober in but every single person went above and beyond to care about me and teach me so many tools to have the open and sober mindset I have now. I am SO incredibly grateful for every person at the Pointe and the three months I spent there. My life is now in a place I didn’t even know was possible. I get emotional just thinking about how much I love and am grateful for The Pointe and it’s employees. World class. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart !!!

I went to Evolve Ojai back in February of this year. I had never been in a residential treatment center and I was really nervous, however I did go voluntarily. My experience wasn’t terrible. There were pros and cons for sure, these were:
Pros:
Really good food
Outings were fun
If you were level 3 and above, you could go on off site visitations with your family
Cons:
Leveled me down on my last week while I had been withdrawing from two meds (Abilify and Zoloft)
Made me sit through an intense PTSD flashback and didn’t let me do anything to distract myself (it was to practice a skill, but i really needed help and i felt very distressed)
Tried to punish me and make me stay an extra week for feeling suicidal after leveling me down
Didn’t really do much when another kid was making me feel uncomfortable by making me feel overstimulated
But it was not a very bad experience. I’ve been to two residential treatment centers (both evolve) and this one was definitely the best one I’ve been to.

I have had an active mental health practice for the past 30 years and, without hesitation, would recommend the Avalon Malibu Rehabilitation Center. I have found that they offer an excellent, state of the art dual diagnosis treatment program that embraces a research evidence based treatment approach that encompasses multiple types of treatment modalities that can be tailored to fit each client’s specific and unique needs. I have utilized the services of many different similar programs for my clients, but my experiences with Avalon Malibu have been without equal. The professional staff are well trained and experienced, and provide a warm and supportive treatment environment. My clients have greatly benefitted from their treatment at Avalon, with notably lessened risk of relapse, and greater and more sustained mood stability – something that is a challenge for clients who are in crisis. I am also impressed by Avalon’s focus on aftercare planning, and how they assist their clients with crafting outpatient treatment to further stabilize and continue their therapeutic progress when they return home.

What sets this place apart is how they balance professional clinical care with holistic wellness. I can’t speak to anyone else’s experience at visions, but i can say with certainty that I owe my sobriety & my life as it is today to the councilors & staff at visions. There’s no such thing as a perfect treatment center, & if you are searching the internet for one I promise you wont find it, but visions is as close as it gets. I went through Mulholland & extended care starting in july of 2025 going into December when i went home. I’m a year sober now & visions is the place that gave me the tools to make that happen for myself. The majority of treatment centers & rehabs out there truly only exist to profit off of suffering, i’ve been through places like that & I promise you visions is not one of these places. the majority of the staff are in recovery themselves & if you’re willing to do the work, visions is the best place to do it. the program at visions in residential & extended care is so much more than a guide to recovery from addiction, it’s a guide on how to function in the world. I was using since i was 12 before i came into treatment and there were very basic things i was clueless about. i learned how to do my own laundry at visions, how to wash dishes properly & sweep floors. i learned the importance of pulling your weight when you’re living in a shared space, social skills, common sense & so much more. It sounds silly, like stuff that everyone should know, but i know several others who were in the same boat as me. I don’t know where i’d be without visions & frankly I don’t want to know. Clayton, claudia, hannah, beth & the countless other staff members who made a positive impact in my life are the reason why i am where i am today. I will forever be grateful for visions.

Words cannot adequately describe how grateful my family and I are for the incredible support, care, and compassion we experienced at BNI. They have been there for us every step of the way and have given our teenager another chance at life. From the active communication and family participation to the highest-quality care and clinical expertise, we knew that our daughter was in good hands from the very beginning. Before BNI, we had tried most of the well-known, corporately-run teen treatment centers but were left with a lack of compassion, disappointment, and poor results. That’s an issue we never experienced with BNI. They treated our daughter like a person instead of just another resident. They treat the person and the family — not just the symptom or condition. And the difference has been night and day. At first, we were hesitant to send her all the way across the country to a place we had never even heard of before. But after our experience, I am confident that we made the right call and would do so again in a heartbeat if needed. Never in a million years would I recommend any other teen residential treatment center that we have tried other than BNI. They are the absolute best and we are forever thankful for the entire team! 🙏

Malibu, CA | Milestone Ranch Malibu is a drug and alcohol rehab located in Malibu, California. At this facility, they provide residential treatment for individuals over the age of eighteen. They’re located on a rustic two hundred acre ranch with beautiful views and serene atmosphere. Located in Malibu, California, Milestone Ranch Malibu is a dual diagnosis r | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am a 53 year old female who just celebrated my 4th year of sobriety after being at Milestones 4 years ago. I always reflect on this special day and remember my painful journey. I had tried other ways to stay sober and through other programs, but Milestones trauma informed practices and individual sessions are what really made the difference for me. There were a variety of providers with expertise in everything from traditional group therapy and step work to hypnosis (which I found to be profoundly impactful). I took advantage of everything they offered -- art and music therapy, Brainspotting, DBT skills, yoga, soundbaths, hikes, as well as meeting with a personal trainer once a week in the beautiful gym. I am not independently wealthy, so I had to look at this as an investment. I was going to lose my life and my children were going to lose their mother. It was time.
I have nothing but great memories of Milestones. Even on my darkest days, there was someone to talk to or cry with. On better days there was laughter and a lot of bonding. The staff was professional, kind and motivated. They listened and remembered important details. They set realistic expectations for all of the clients and challenged us to find solutions to the interpersonal nightmares most of us were in at home and at work. The setting was gorgeous, the houses were very clean and comfortable and the food was always fresh and healthy.
The investment has already paid for itself. I am alive, I work and my kids get to go to college this year knowing their mom is sober and safe and thriving.
I will always be grateful for my time there.

I went to Milestones Ranch (twice) to get off of Barbiturates. Denise and Savannah are both incredibly caring people and competent. They both go out of their way to help and even after 15 years they still are willing to keep in touch. I was detoxed witl in the actual rehab the first time and it went better than I thought it would sans the first few days. You get to use the phone at certain times and the houses are both very well stocked and nice. They offered equine therapy and music therapy which I personally didn't like but I guess it was nice they had it. They also drove us to AA or NA meetings almost every night. Privelages included shopping, coffee trips, beach trips, the usual high end Malibu rehab stuff. Staff were mostly excellent and caring with some exceptional stand outs whose names I wish I could remember.
The first time I was there I must say that things within the client base were crazy, but it wasn't the rehabs fault. In their defense they drug tested us and also set up aftercare (sober living), I just fell in with a crazy person who knew every drug that wouldn't pop on a standard panel test. I relapsed but didn't get caught (my 3 friends did get caught after using a certain substance) and eventually ended up getting 5 years of sobriety. I do attribute that to Milestones Ranch. That is the longest true sobriety I've ever had. I was able to work and be a productive member of society.
One thing they do (or used to do) was a free 10 day stay if you relapsed. I did end up relapsing and they actually took me in free of charge. I have to say, that's an uncommon thing in Malibu rehabs (I went to multiple) and I've never seen it before. The second time around I had to detox at a facility and than go to the actual rehab which was annoying but it was whatever. Second time around they had definitely learned from the first time I was there and there was no drama within the patients. Unfortunately my family did not support a longer stay than 10 days for my second time but I am very grateful that I had that 10 days and was treated like a regular client.
If you have the money or insurance I would recommend Milestones over most stereotypical high end Malibu rehabs, I found it to be much more effective. The only downside is the price, but you get what you pay for.

I am a former employee and current contractor at Milestones Ranch Malibu, having been Clinical Director in the past and presently working as a group therapist. But more to the point, I am a huge fan of Milestones. Owned and operated by the incredibly caring and talented social worker Denise Klein and her daughter Savannah Ganje, Milestones has provided in-depth assistance to clients and families for the past 20 plus years.
I have seen hundreds of clients benefit from the various evidence-based modalities utilized by the Milestones clinical staff including dynamic and CBT therapy, hypnotherapy, group therapy, addiction counseling and EMDR as well as adjunct services including psychiatry, sound bath, music therapy, and more.
In addition to myself, there are other long-time staff members including Celeste Racicot, Ron Borczon, and Joey Tabbanella. It’s always a positive sign when staff members sign on for the long haul – it shows that they love the family atmosphere, the good vibes, the sense of helping people in a program that is all about integrity, warmth and expert care.
Employees are supervised and trained by Denise, Savannah, Celeste and Amber to ensure that meals are prepared on time, paychecks delivered on time and that the facility sparkles and shines. Milestones is a fantastic training ground for those interested in working in the fields of psychology and/or recovery. I often say that after a stint at Milestones, every employee is ready to run their own rehab center! Employees who are dedicated, hardworking and client-centered flourish in the Milestones milieu.
But what makes Milestones stand out, and why I continue on with this amazing program is – notwithstanding the clinical knowledge and practice, or the amenities, food, and cozy rooms - is the setting. It’s a small facility, designed purposely to be intimate so as to give clients individualized attention on a beautiful Malibu ranch. Milestones is unique.
Oh, one last thing. Milestones is the kind of place where if you call admissions and they think you are not a fit for them or that there is a program more suited to your needs, they will never try to sell you or convince you to come to Milestones but instead give you referrals to other well-respected and effective programs. Now that’s integrity!

Their heart space as a team is palpable, you feel it immediately. They demonstrate incredible flexibility, collaboration, and a deep, unwavering commitment to the clients and families they serve. The sense of community support they provide is rare and truly meaningful.
La Ventana offers the level of sophistication, attention, and quality of care you would expect from a private-pay program, while remaining accessible to families using insurance. That balance alone sets them apart.
The leadership of Sharon Volner is powerful and intentional, and it clearly impacts the entire organization. When leadership is strong at the top, it ripples through every layer, and La Ventana is a perfect example of that. Gwen’s long-term experience and genuine compassion for clients further enrich the program; her understanding and humanity are felt in every interaction.
This team is seasoned and consistently goes above and beyond for families. They pay attention to the details, step in to intervene when necessary, and truly understand the complex similarities and differentiations between dual diagnosis, primary mental health and substance use disorder.
I highly recommend La Ventana to families seeking thoughtful, sophisticated, and deeply compassionate support for their loved ones.

I’m going to review the detox program and removed a star for the residential program because I found it far too overwhelming as an adjustment but I think that the structure is just to keep you busy and learn how to do hard things.
The detox program is exceptional. TVs in each room. Hot water. Bath tubs. The staff is top notch, they call themselves top gun and they’ve earned it.
Jade, cat, Tonia, Lindsey, Shawn, Kristy, night staff. I’m sure I’m forgetting some names.
I had a court date on zoom and freaked out and cat personally sat with me for the entire 30 mins, made me a stress ball out of a towel, and held my hand.
I went back here 3 times and they never judged me or made me feel weak. I kept going back because it was the place that I knew would help me.
Catered food (it’s alright - hit or miss) and an endless supply of Gatorade lol. You can request certain groceries as well.
The residential program includes a full day of programming, up at 630am, meetings every evening, forced gym or park after ~6 hours of programming. It’s a lot if you’re dealing with fatigue or depression like I was.
The director did her best to try to accommodate me but at the end of the day I needed something more calm and I went to a place called EleMental in Thousand Oaks.
Anyways, I’m always grateful to the team here.

I have been a recovery advocate for former professional athletes for many years . Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs.

Writing a review of a rehab center is not something I ever thought I'd be doing. However, when a family member was in need of treatment, my family and I were fortunate to have been able to turn to the team at Serenity.
The staff took tremendous care of my relative's needs, as well as the needs of our family. Dr. Shilati and her fantastic staff made us feel comfortable with the process and guided us every step of the way. We are forever grateful for their assistance at one of the hardest moments in our lives.

OMGOSH! Serenity Malibu literally saved my life!! I looked at a lot of treatment centers before choosing this one…then i made the call…a very nice man named Bruce answered the phone..he asked me a few ???'s about my resources then promised to call me back…he promptly called me back after calling my insurance co. and told me i was "good to go"…I was such a "hot mess"..addicted to alcohol, opiates and alcohol..and ambien to sleep…I was a walking time bomb..things weren't working for me any more..i was isolated using night and day..i bought my airline ticket one way and went straight to L.A…there was a gentleman at the gate waiting to transport me the 45 min. drive to the house..it was a very nice car, and driver..when i got to the house all the staff knew my name..and welcomed me with open arms..after a little paperwork i went to my "new house"..i went to serenity house…it was like a movie star would live in..big and lovely…lots of comfort foods, 24 hour care takers, a house keeper, a pool and hot tub too..its total luxury…i met a few new house mates..they taught me "the ropes" quickly..i was fearful that my detox would be uncomfortable..i meet the first nite with the doctor..he gave me meds. that i took for a few weeks to get me thru the "tough times"..I was very comfortable…i got my schedule..and started my healing from the get go…I went on beach walks, went to the movies, got my nails done, like "normal life", not a hospital setting!I had acupuncture, cranial sacral ,massage, yoga, and spiritual healing( very powerful stuff)! I learned a new way of life..and EVERYONE …well just about everyone there is in recovery also..I had the BEST month of my life..I dealt (thru therapists )with all my issues i was walking around with in my gut..I was able to learn what drove me to use and not feel my feelings..for once I feel free..This facility does offer 12 step programs if you are interested..and another program( Smart recovery) if you're not..for my recovery i find it is necessary to be in a 12 step program..today I'm 40 days SOBER..I can't say enough about Serenity/Seasons (their sister house)..I am home now..miss the gourmet meals, the good friends I made, and ALL the support i had while there..I have an exit plan in my pocket that is a guide how to live on the "outside" for me..they helped me fill up my "tool box"now I'm in charge of continuing what I've learned..my relationship with my family has been healing..I got another chance in life..at age 55 I felt beat down and tired of my 30+years of using..I feel blessed and willing..its not a "piece of cake" out here back in the "real world" but I'm living life on "life's terms" one day at a time..I would HIGHLY recommend Serenity/Seasons..Thank you to all the staff that taught me how to get outta my "rut"..I feel love in my heart..thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart..So give Bruce a call today..if you are "sick in tired,of being sick and tired"..he will tell you straight up what it takes to get there..I feel blessed that my insurance co. And it is a great deal many to characters to be allowed to post. All I can simply say now after that review I wrote in great length is it earns every bit of those 5 stars. And is a facility this is beyond so incredibly many others out there. And I’ve been to many. The Beach House, Cirque “Lodge” (not studio), and as far as detox Summer House in Miami have stood out and are my top 3. My 2nd choice in Malibu would be SOBA that’s now shut down, which makes it a facility called Avalon taking a very strong 2nd place. If the beach house is full or if it’s changed since I was last there. Avalon is your next best bet as I’ve been to much more than anyone needs to or in all honesty is imaginable.Thats a baby seal that got beached while I was there in the photo we could see from the house. The seal was sick, it was rescued, given medication, and released back out to its mother who waited right in that same area till it was released back to her about a week later crying throughout the day worried about her baby. (Was a pretty cool thing to have witnessed) 🙂. the Besch House is GREAT. In every which way from luxury, detox protocols to be comfortable, groups and staff. They have a brilliant program!

I have had three major depressive episodes in my life. Each episode was four to eight years apart. I run a large company in the Midwest and when the Beach House was recommend to me I must admit I was skeptical to say the least. The mere fact that this was also a treatment center for addiction gave me cause for pause. When I arrived at The Beach House I was at my lowest point in 12 years. The absolute miracles that occurred over my 30 days in program for depression and anxiety can not be described in this review. The total commitment to the healing process of body mind and spirit are beyond compare. Kimberly, Charlie, Art and Emily have built a team of professionals that are client focused and are invested in healing. The Beach House changed my life. Because of people like Morgan and Wendy who equipped me with a tool box full of tools for daily self care and a broad understanding of the biochemical aspects of depression and anxiety, I believe that major episodes are in my past. Every caregiver in The Beach House was committed to my recovery from Chris’ ride from the airport, to Jesse’s wit to Adam’s three mile runs. I will never forget my time with you. If every 51 year old man had an opportunity to come take a month and work on themselves with this team, the world would be a better place. God Bless you all.

Genesis is a great option for individuals who need an outpatient program to integrate into after residential treatment, if you’re struggling with alcohol/drug misuse, or you are substance dependent and would benefit from structure and accountability.
Their program uses best based practices and they do a great job at tailoring treatment plans to an individuals own unique and personal needs. The individual and group counseling were always super helpful and the staff truly want to see you succeed. They offer a friends and family night which was very critical in re establishing trust and ongoing support from those close to you in your life.
In addition, they have a strong after care community in which you are encouraged to be apart of after completing treatment.
If you have the pleasure of conversing with the owner Athena, be sure to pick her brain as she is very knowledgeable in the field of treatment and addiction. It is from my experience she is attentive and does an appreciable job at reflecting meaning within her conversations. Her superb counseling skills and expertise in the field really motivate her clients to find it within themselves to make positive steps towards change. She has helped me overcome a variety of struggles in life and has been instrumental in my ongoing journey.
Through out my time at Genesis, it is clear that Athena and her team are people who truly care about the individuals and families they serve and are dedicated to making the community a healthier and safer place.
I would highly recommend Genesis!
