This place helped me get off Xanax . I was on it for 11 years. I was able to do a 32 day taper using kolonopin here . It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be , not easy but not as bad an experience as I had heard about. It kind of feels like a hotel and the experience feels like school , the staff is very nice and accommodating here .

It was my first time going into treatment and I was scared to fly to California. I'm happy I made the decision to trust Enlight with my safety and wellbeing. These people really know how to change lives, speaking from experience. I was battling with alcohol, drugs and mental health issues that I was never able to address. I was scared that my job was going to penalize me but the team worked well with my employer so that I can really take my time and focus on my recovery. This was the best decision I have ever made. I feel changed, finally ready to live the life I deserve. Thank you to Enlight and the doctors here for saving my life. This was the best decision I have ever made

As I sit here, dead of winter in Upstate New York. I appreciate the time I spent at Enlight Treatment center. This is usually the time I would look for something to lift my mood. Depression gets the best of me and I spiral. I was able to really open up there. I was able to unload and place a lot of my unresolved feelings aside. They really have wonderful people there. If you're serious about getting rid of whatever it is you need to get rid of.. I would absolutely go! The food wasn't too bad either😘

I went to Evolve Ojai back in February of this year. I had never been in a residential treatment center and I was really nervous, however I did go voluntarily. My experience wasn’t terrible. There were pros and cons for sure, these were: Pros: Really good food Outings were fun If you were level 3 and above, you could go on off site visitations with your family Cons: Leveled me down on my last week while I had been withdrawing from two meds (Abilify and Zoloft) Made me sit through an intense PTSD flashback and didn’t let me do anything to distract myself (it was to practice a skill, but i really needed help and i felt very distressed) Tried to punish me and make me stay an extra week for feeling suicidal after leveling me down Didn’t really do much when another kid was making me feel uncomfortable by making me feel overstimulated But it was not a very bad experience. I’ve been to two residential treatment centers (both evolve) and this one was definitely the best one I’ve been to.

My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

my daughter came to BNI when she was 17 but before arriving, she had struggled so hard. I can’t even put into words just how much my daughter was struggling with losing her dad, drugs and alcohol. her mental health was completely awful to the point she was self harming and attempting suicide. we had been to the mental health hospital in town MANY MANY times and tried another different residential treatment center for years before evening knowing about BNI. a different treatment center in Northern california that my daughter was at suggested that addison’s needed intensive treatment and care, a higher quality of care and brought BNI to my attention. i wish we would have known about BNI years ago because it truly changed our lives. if you would have told me a year ago that my daughter would be amazing now, i’d laugh in your face (and then cry praying to god for it to come true) addison’s spent 7 months at BNI. we would facetime everyday and had family counseling every friday with a great therapist named Steve. not only did steve treat my daughter as a person and not just a patient or client, the nurses and staff did as well. almost to a point where they seemed like family. not only was BNI a sit down and let’s talk about feelings and but they offered horse therapy, pet therapy, surf therapy and painting class. they also listened to what medication was working and not working and they got her meds right. took time but Dr.A and they staff nailed it. we will forever be grateful for BNI and the staff who became family. o adore them for taking such great care of my daughter and giving her her smile back xoxo

I’ve stayed with Cliffside twice and had an amazing experience both times. All the houses have something cool to offer, I stayed at the house with an incredible 180 degree view of the Malibu shoreline and woke up to the ocean and sky every day. The staff is very accommodating and all take recovery seriously. Shout out to John and Julie and Brian and Nicole and Dr. Morrow! The groups are well facilitated and small and I always looked forward to the holistics. The food is good for the most part, the desserts with dinner were always incredible. Fun outings and beach walks helped break up long weeks of groups. I only wish we got to use the pool more, only one house has the pool. All in all, I love Cliffside and have made many lasting connections there!

I cannot say enough about the La Ventana treatment team. Their heart space as a team is palpable, you feel it immediately. They demonstrate incredible flexibility, collaboration, and a deep, unwavering commitment to the clients and families they serve. The sense of community support they provide is rare and truly meaningful. La Ventana offers the level of sophistication, attention, and quality of care you would expect from a private-pay program, while remaining accessible to families using insurance. That balance alone sets them apart. The leadership of Sharon Volner is powerful and intentional, and it clearly impacts the entire organization. When leadership is strong at the top, it ripples through every layer, and La Ventana is a perfect example of that. Gwen’s long-term experience and genuine compassion for clients further enrich the program; her understanding and humanity are felt in every interaction. This team is seasoned and consistently goes above and beyond for families. They pay attention to the details, step in to intervene when necessary, and truly understand the complex similarities and differentiations between dual diagnosis, primary mental health and substance use disorder. I highly recommend La Ventana to families seeking thoughtful, sophisticated, and deeply compassionate support for their loved ones.

I’m going to review the detox program and removed a star for the residential program because I found it far too overwhelming as an adjustment but I think that the structure is just to keep you busy and learn how to do hard things. The detox program is exceptional. TVs in each room. Hot water. Bath tubs. The staff is top notch, they call themselves top gun and they’ve earned it. Jade, cat, Tonia, Lindsey, Shawn, Kristy, night staff. I’m sure I’m forgetting some names. I had a court date on zoom and freaked out and cat personally sat with me for the entire 30 mins, made me a stress ball out of a towel, and held my hand. I went back here 3 times and they never judged me or made me feel weak. I kept going back because it was the place that I knew would help me. Catered food (it’s alright - hit or miss) and an endless supply of Gatorade lol. You can request certain groceries as well. The residential program includes a full day of programming, up at 630am, meetings every evening, forced gym or park after ~6 hours of programming. It’s a lot if you’re dealing with fatigue or depression like I was. The director did her best to try to accommodate me but at the end of the day I needed something more calm and I went to a place called EleMental in Thousand Oaks. Anyways, I’m always grateful to the team here.

I have been a recovery advocate for former professional athletes for many years . Part of that job requires me to select treatment programs that are well suited for their often complex needs. Finding good programs that truly understand addiction/dual diagnosis issues that are often complicated by cognition and brain trauma issues was a nearly impossible. Then the NFL Alumni connected me to Pure Recovery California. The Pure Recovery programs , which are for everyone not just athletes are remarkable. Their approach to treating addiction as a brain disease and their advanced neuroscience programs are real game changers. The facility is beautiful and the expert medical team is outstanding. The results for the athletes that I personally know and work with that have been through the program are just amazing , life changing and lifesaving. I will continue to recommend Pure Recovery California and their outstanding programs to athletes and others who are in need of recovery programs.

Writing a review of a rehab center is not something I ever thought I'd be doing. However, when a family member was in need of treatment, my family and I were fortunate to have been able to turn to the team at Serenity. Dr. Shilati and her fantastic staff made us feel comfortable with the process and guided us every step of the way. OMGOSH! Serenity Malibu literally saved my life!! I looked at a lot of treatment centers before choosing this one…then i made the call…a very nice man named Bruce answered the phone..he asked me a few ???'s about my resources then promised to call me back…he promptly called me back after calling my insurance co. and told me i was "good to go"…I was such a "hot mess"..addicted to alcohol, opiates and alcohol..and ambien to sleep…I was a walking time bomb..things weren't working for me any more..i was isolated using night and day..i bought my airline ticket one way and went straight to L.A…there was a gentleman at the gate waiting to transport me the 45 min. drive to the house..it was a very nice car, and driver..when i got to the house all the staff knew my name..and welcomed me with open arms..after a little paperwork i went to my "new house"..i went to serenity house…it was like a movie star would live in..big and lovely…lots of comfort foods, 24 hour care takers, a house keeper, a pool and hot tub too..its total luxury…i met a few new house mates..they taught me "the ropes" quickly..i was fearful that my detox would be uncomfortable..i meet the first nite with the doctor..he gave me meds. that i took for a few weeks to get me thru the "tough times"..I was very comfortable…i got my schedule..and started my healing from the get go…I went on beach walks, went to the movies, got my nails done, like "normal life", not a hospital setting!I had acupuncture, cranial sacral ,massage, yoga, and spiritual healing( very powerful stuff)! I learned a new way of life..and EVERYONE …well just about everyone there is in recovery also..I had the BEST month of my life..I dealt (thru therapists )with all my issues i was walking around with in my gut..I was able to learn what drove me to use and not feel my feelings..for once I feel free..This facility does offer 12 step programs if you are interested..and another program( Smart recovery) if you're not..for my recovery i find it is necessary to be in a 12 step program..today I'm 40 days SOBER..I can't say enough about Serenity/Seasons (their sister house)..I am home now..miss the gourmet meals, the good friends I made, and ALL the support i had while there..I have an exit plan in my pocket that is a guide how to live on the "outside" for me..they helped me fill up my "tool box"now I'm in charge of continuing what I've learned..my relationship with my family has been healing..I got another chance in life..at age 55 I felt beat down and tired of my 30+years of using..I feel blessed and willing..its not a "piece of cake" out here back in the "real world" but I'm living life on "life's terms" one day at a time..I would HIGHLY recommend Serenity/Seasons..Thank you to all the staff that taught me how to get outta my "rut"..I feel love in my heart..thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart..So give Bruce a call today..if you are "sick in tired,of being sick and tired"..he will tell you straight up what it takes to get there..I feel blessed that my insurance co. Aetna paid most of my stay..some of my peers paid theirs outta pocket..just ask yourself what is my life worth…?? Genesis has played a pivotal role in creating a safe and supportive environment for my sister to get the help she needed. It is through this program that I have witnessed her true core values start to realign and her willingness to rededicate herself in discovering her true and authentic self without the use of substances. From the friendly front desk coordinator, to the empathetic counselors, and staff I can't say enough good things about this program. The psycho-educational groups, family nights, and other counseling services that were provided held her accountable and increased her insight into something she has been struggling with for a long time. Thank you Athena and team for helping my sister. I will be recommending your services to others. It is great to have a program like this in our community.

Genesis is a great option for individuals who need an outpatient program to integrate into after residential treatment, if you’re struggling with alcohol/drug misuse, or you are substance dependent and would benefit from structure and accountability. Their program uses best based practices and they do a great job at tailoring treatment plans to an individuals own unique and personal needs. The individual and group counseling were always super helpful and the staff truly want to see you succeed. They offer a friends and family night which was very critical in re establishing trust and ongoing support from those close to you in your life. In addition, they have a strong after care community in which you are encouraged to be apart of after completing treatment. If you have the pleasure of conversing with the owner Athena, be sure to pick her brain as she is very knowledgeable in the field of treatment and addiction. It is from my experience she is attentive and does an appreciable job at reflecting meaning within her conversations. Her superb counseling skills and expertise in the field really motivate her clients to find it within themselves to make positive steps towards change. She has helped me overcome a variety of struggles in life and has been instrumental in my ongoing journey. Through out my time at Genesis, it is clear that Athena and her team are people who truly care about the individuals and families they serve and are dedicated to making the community a healthier and safer place. I would highly recommend Genesis!

I have had three major depressive episodes in my life. Each episode was four to eight years apart. I run a large company in the Midwest and when the Beach House was recommend to me I must admit I was skeptical to say the least. The mere fact that this was also a treatment center for addiction gave me cause for pause. When I arrived at The Beach House I was at my lowest point in 12 years. The absolute miracles that occurred over my 30 days in program for depression and anxiety can not be described in this review. The total commitment to the healing process of body mind and spirit are beyond compare. Kimberly, Charlie, Art and Emily have built a team of professionals that are client focused and are invested in healing. The Beach House changed my life. Because of people like Morgan and Wendy who equipped me with a tool box full of tools for daily self care and a broad understanding of the biochemical aspects of depression and anxiety, I believe that major episodes are in my past. Every caregiver in The Beach House was committed to my recovery from Chris’ ride from the airport, to Jesse’s wit to Adam’s three mile runs. I will never forget my time with you. If every 51 year old man had an opportunity to come take a month and work on themselves with this team, the world would be a better place. God Bless you all.

Last year a client of mine had hit a very low point & I posted for help on a Facebook page related to treatment centers. I already knew a lot of places were not suitable for this specific situation. The owner saw my post & put three people on our case immediately. They even had someone go pick up my client's car all the way out in Hollywood & stored his car in a garage for us while he stayed on Broad Beach. You will not find a nicer place/nicer people anywhere in Malibu.

During my time, the staff were supportive and maintained a calm and structured environment. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was the connections I built with both staff and peers. I developed positive relationships and shared good memories with the people there in a supportive setting. Overall, I am grateful for my time there and the experiences I had in that environment.

I gave it 5 stars because of the staff, facility, and the care. I honestly felt everyone there truly wanted me to recover from alcoholism. And they did a wonderful job preparing me for what it was going to take to remain sober after I walked out of their door. I am so grateful for Wildwood Recovery.

Absolutely amazing place and I can’t say enough great things about it- If I could give it 10 stars I would. Sima the owner truly has a passion to help people become their best self. She provides a safe, happy, family environment at the fellowship house. I’ve been in and out of treatment centers and sober living for the last 20 years from California to Florida Washington to Arizona Colorado and Utah and this is by far the best place I’ve ever seen or been to. The success rate is the highest of any place on the planet. She provides the best environment cohesive to staying sober and honestly I miss the fellowship house everyday and would go back in a heartbeat - it’s not just a sober living- You learn how to live sober and be successful

It's been 6 months since I left CFD Thousand Oaks and all I can say is how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to learn and grow here. I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews yet im glad I did not let that stop me from going. I was in the program here for a little over 3 months and thanks to the staff and my amazing therapist Stephanie, I was not only able to overcome my eating disorder but also discover more about myself! The program is very clear and straightforward about what to expect and how the day by day is handled. They even give you a booklet for the duration of your stay to use on the daily. The operations manager, Makayla, made me feel more comfortable my first week there and is so sweet. She really went above and beyond for the patients my entire stay. Erin, the Nurse Admin, would take time to teach and explain why physical symptoms would arise and even gave classes on how our bodies are impacted by eating disorders. The nurses and diet technicians really heard and understood my neurodivergent needs too! I feel like the approach to meals and food were very gentle even if the intergration process felt overwheming at times. I am grateful to my dietician Kylie, for being supportive and understanding when it came to eating. I learned how to eat alongside my sensitivies/sensory needs and not against it! At the end I felt well equipped to grocery shop for myself and maintain my newly developed eating habits. Some general counselors were amazing, others disappointed me. I want to say thank you to Kevin for being a shoulder to lean on and Gerald for the wonderful morning walks and enthusiasm. Juliet, who made the weekends bearable and Zaida who puts her whole heart into her work. The program on paper seemed easy for me. In reality, this was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. I had to face myself. All my trauma, doubts, beliefs, and values. Things I believed to be true my whole life and having to accept that it was making me sick. I cried a lot, i laughed and smiled a lot too. I was angry, definitely wanted to leave at times, had panic attacks, felt like my world was ending, disagreed with staff, heck even screamed/sobbed and it was all worth it. I always felt supported, even in the most difficult of moments. I was heard and accepted here. At times, the groups felt redundant or i felt like I had too much free time. I later realized the more I worked the program the more I learned and even helped my peers by just participating in discussions. I also learned a lot from other women opening up in the groups and created bonds that exceed my time there. The group "Life Worth Living" was probably my favorite and still helps me to this day. Thank you therapist Bernice for hosting that group. I love how the program is structured to slowly give more agency and even deal with triggers/situations in a more controlled setting. Having therapy multiple times a week helped me process these exposures. Being able to see a physician and psychiatrist weekly were also very helpful to my recovery. I was helped in creating an exit plan for when I stepped down from residential and had a safety plan created in the event I needed extra support. I left with hope and excitement for what was in store next for me! Now there have been ups and downs. Recovery isnt linear nor pefect. At times, I continue to struggle with intrusive thoughts and the urge to use maldaptive coping skills. Despite that, I am able to use what skills ive learned at CFD Thousand Oaks and continue building my life worth living ❤️ Thank you Danisha, Cas, Stephanie, Bernice, Juliet, Kevin, Rob, Makayla, and Erin!!!

Dr. Dias is the best doctor I could recommend. I went to rehab 3/2020 and I started to see him as an outpatient. I’ve been sober for a year and he has given me the best treatment for my recovery. Eamon and his team have proven to be reliable, available, knowledgeable and effective in their treatment approach with our 20 year old son. We are so thankful for the genuine interest that Eamon shows for our son’s recovery. The team continually encourages our son to challenge himself and they draw on his strengths to keep moving forward. Our son is working, attending college, spending time at recovery meetings (and working through the 12 steps with a sponsor), working out, and truly focused on his personal growth. We are extremely impressed with our communication with Eamon . He is clear, patient, “real”, compassionate, and professional. We highly recommend this service. Bill and Sue A.

Great organization. The director Scott Snowbarger has been a counselor for many years, is a professional and just generally a good human being. The houses are well appointed, nice and I especially like their large meeting spaces. One of the property's has a nice orchard with a large avacado Tree. Us girls try and pillfer their avacados when we go to the open meetings there. The structure of the program and the vibe is good!
