Passages changed my life. It is not easy - in fact it’s really, really hard. If you’re committed to doing it the right way - you are going to wind up dealing with a lot of painful issues and hurts - and all without your substance of choice to numb the pain. But - you will be supported every step of the way. The staff is WONDERFUL and so genuinely happy for the progress you make. The other clients become your closest friends and there is nothing you can say there that will shock anyone. There is zero judgment, just support and kindness and encouragement. Even post discharge they have weekly in person and online alumni groups which are fantastic and the facilitators of those groups genuinely care. Other than becoming a mom, Passages is the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m forever grateful.

Ojai, CA | Evidence-Based, Individualized Care Our treatment model is rooted in proven, evidence-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). All of our programs provide adherent DBT skills training to help teens build practical tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interper | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I went to Evolve Ojai back in February of this year. I had never been in a residential treatment center and I was really nervous, however I did go voluntarily. My experience wasn’t terrible. There were pros and cons for sure, these were:
Pros:
Really good food
Outings were fun
If you were level 3 and above, you could go on off site visitations with your family
Cons:
Leveled me down on my last week while I had been withdrawing from two meds (Abilify and Zoloft)
Made me sit through an intense PTSD flashback and didn’t let me do anything to distract myself (it was to practice a skill, but i really needed help and i felt very distressed)
Tried to punish me and make me stay an extra week for feeling suicidal after leveling me down
Didn’t really do much when another kid was making me feel uncomfortable by making me feel overstimulated
But it was not a very bad experience. I’ve been to two residential treatment centers (both evolve) and this one was definitely the best one I’ve been to.

My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

We had a truly positive experience with Evolve Teen Treatment in Ojai, CA for our 13/14-year-old daughter. The location is beautiful, right near downtown Ojai, and the environment felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived.
Our daughter struggles with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and challenging behaviors. At Evolve, she was finally able to find her voice. With the support of the incredible staff and therapists, she learned how to better understand her mental health and, for the first time, could articulate what she was feeling.
Evolve kept her engaged every day with a full schedule of therapy and activities like hiking, surfing, yoga, working out, and healthy meals, which helped her get strong both mentally and physically. She stayed for three months the first time and two months the second time (not typical, but necessary in her case). Coming home was hard, but the setbacks were due more to outside influences than the program itself.
What stood out most was the level of care and dedication from the staff and therapists. They weren’t just there for her, but for our whole family. The family sessions were incredibly helpful in teaching us how to best support her. We learned that it’s not about perfection but about progress and resilience, even when things don’t go as planned.
We were in a place of deep hopelessness before finding Evolve, but the program was truly a godsend. It not only helped our daughter, but also gave us the tools to keep growing as a family. A friend recommended Evolve to us, and now we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with a teen going through hard times. We are forever grateful.

Malibu, CA | Seasons in Malibu is a luxury alcohol, drug, and mental health treatment facility in Malibu, California on a property with ocean views and easy beach access. The program is for adult men and women. The center is CARF accredited and licensed by the State of California. They treat substance use disorder and dual diagnosis (co-occurring) mental health | Treatments Payment Options | I believe that sometimes one therapist is not enough, especially when dealing with extreme mental health challenges or severe addiction. In my private practice, I often refer my clients to Seasons in Malibu, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
What sets Seasons apart is their incredible variety of treatment modalities, which many other recovery centers lack. During my research into various rehabs and mental health facilities, I found that most offer only one or two sessions with a primary therapist, followed by group sessions. In contrast, Seasons provides a wealth of one-on-one options.
Clients have access to personalized sessions with their primary therapist, case managers, hypnotherapists, as well as treatments like craniosacral therapy, somatic therapy, EMDR, brain spotting, massage, acupuncture, yoga and spirituality sessions. This diverse approach means that clients receive unique "puzzle pieces" from each modality. As they piece them together, they gain a deeper understanding of what’s happening on a subconscious level, enabling them to move forward into a healthier and more productive life.
If you’re seeking a comprehensive recovery experience, which gets you results, Seasons in Malibu is a brilliant choice!

Writing a review of a rehab center is not something I ever thought I'd be doing. However, when a family member was in need of treatment, my family and I were fortunate to have been able to turn to the team at Serenity.
The staff took tremendous care of my relative's needs, as well as the needs of our family. Dr. Shilati and her fantastic staff made us feel comfortable with the process and guided us every step of the way. We are forever grateful for their assistance at one of the hardest moments in our lives.

OMGOSH! Serenity Malibu literally saved my life!! I looked at a lot of treatment centers before choosing this one…then i made the call…a very nice man named Bruce answered the phone..he asked me a few ???'s about my resources then promised to call me back…he promptly called me back after calling my insurance co. and told me i was "good to go"…I was such a "hot mess"..addicted to alcohol, opiates and alcohol..and ambien to sleep…I was a walking time bomb..things weren't working for me any more..i was isolated using night and day..i bought my airline ticket one way and went straight to L.A…there was a gentleman at the gate waiting to transport me the 45 min. drive to the house..it was a very nice car, and driver..when i got to the house all the staff knew my name..and welcomed me with open arms..after a little paperwork i went to my "new house"..i went to serenity house…it was like a movie star would live in..big and lovely…lots of comfort foods, 24 hour care takers, a house keeper, a pool and hot tub too..its total luxury…i met a few new house mates..they taught me "the ropes" quickly..i was fearful that my detox would be uncomfortable..i meet the first nite with the doctor..he gave me meds. that i took for a few weeks to get me thru the "tough times"..I was very comfortable…i got my schedule..and started my healing from the get go…I went on beach walks, went to the movies, got my nails done, like "normal life", not a hospital setting!I had acupuncture, cranial sacral ,massage, yoga, and spiritual healing( very powerful stuff)! I learned a new way of life..and EVERYONE …well just about everyone there is in recovery also..I had the BEST month of my life..I dealt (thru therapists )with all my issues i was walking around with in my gut..I was able to learn what drove me to use and not feel my feelings..for once I feel free..This facility does offer 12 step programs if you are interested..and another program( Smart recovery) if you're not..for my recovery i find it is necessary to be in a 12 step program..today I'm 40 days SOBER..I can't say enough about Serenity/Seasons (their sister house)..I am home now..miss the gourmet meals, the good friends I made, and ALL the support i had while there..I have an exit plan in my pocket that is a guide how to live on the "outside" for me..they helped me fill up my "tool box"now I'm in charge of continuing what I've learned..my relationship with my family has been healing..I got another chance in life..at age 55 I felt beat down and tired of my 30+years of using..I feel blessed and willing..its not a "piece of cake" out here back in the "real world" but I'm living life on "life's terms" one day at a time..I would HIGHLY recommend Serenity/Seasons..Thank you to all the staff that taught me how to get outta my "rut"..I feel love in my heart..thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart..So give Bruce a call today..if you are "sick in tired,of being sick and tired"..he will tell you straight up what it takes to get there..I feel blessed that my insurance co. Aetna paid most of my stay..some of my peers paid theirs outta pocket..just ask yourself what is my life worth…?? I give this Luxury healing "resort"5*****..Thank you for reading this..and remember "Nothing changes, if nothing changes"!! Tracy jones Anchorage Alaska.

I have had three major depressive episodes in my life. Each episode was four to eight years apart. I run a large company in the Midwest and when the Beach House was recommend to me I must admit I was skeptical to say the least. The mere fact that this was also a treatment center for addiction gave me cause for pause. When I arrived at The Beach House I was at my lowest point in 12 years. The absolute miracles that occurred over my 30 days in program for depression and anxiety can not be described in this review. The total commitment to the healing process of body mind and spirit are beyond compare. Kimberly, Charlie, Art and Emily have built a team of professionals that are client focused and are invested in healing. The Beach House changed my life. Because of people like Morgan and Wendy who equipped me with a tool box full of tools for daily self care and a broad understanding of the biochemical aspects of depression and anxiety, I believe that major episodes are in my past. Every caregiver in The Beach House was committed to my recovery from Chris’ ride from the airport, to Jesse’s wit to Adam’s three mile runs. I will never forget my time with you. If every 51 year old man had an opportunity to come take a month and work on themselves with this team, the world would be a better place. God Bless you all.

Last year a client of mine had hit a very low point & I posted for help on a Facebook page related to treatment centers. I already knew a lot of places were not suitable for this specific situation. The owner saw my post & put three people on our case immediately. They even had someone go pick up my client's car all the way out in Hollywood & stored his car in a garage for us while he stayed on Broad Beach. You will not find a nicer place/nicer people anywhere in Malibu.

My wife and I just finished a major renovation of our home, which included construction of new garage and deck above the garage, a new roof, new doors, new siding, and new hardscape. Corky is wonderful to work with. The quality of his work is outstanding. He doesn't stand for superficial fixes; he is insistent on a complete and thorough job. Services include dual-diagnosis care, career and education support, and a specialized program for professionals. A PHP is a full-time day program that ca | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My son, initially was in an inpatient facility and insurance denied the claim so we had to quickly get him moved to a different type of outpatient treatment. This is when I found Launch. I spoke with Clint in admissions and he was extremely kind and helpful as well as compassionate. He was able to seamlessly get my son moved out of the inpatient program and into php/iop and sober living within just a couple of days. He also spoke with my son and counseled him on important things to look for in a recovery center. My son was in a dark place when he started here and now 3 months later, he is so much better. I truly think everyone at launch was exactly what he needed. His therapist Jake seemed to really care about and get my son, which is so appreciated. The other staff were also fantastic. I would recommend this center to any young adult struggling with depression and or addiction issues. Grateful!!!

I remember the day of my first phone call, I had so little hope that things could improve for me and was skeptical if program was even worth it. But I did my intake with Clint and he was so personable, made me feel welcome and seen in a time I needed to be, and set the tone as to what my time at Launch would be like. It felt so aligned, so I swallowed my pride and he was the reason I took the leap and chance at this program even though I was hesitant before. I completed it and it's been several months since, and I'm well-regulated now, working full-time, and made lifelong friends I still talk to every day. Enthusiastic, always available when I'm at the program, super helpful, thanks to that day I chose to show up I know my life has changed much for the better and I'm a stronger person than I felt possible in the moment, I can manage through my bipolar symptoms with greater clarity and ease of functioning than before, and have gratitude to express towards the staff.

I spent three months at Launch, and it was a great experience. I’d been to other IOPs before, but Launch really stood out for how well it helped clients rebuild. Beyond standard therapy, Launch was hands-on and practical - focused on helping people build structure, improve routines, and take real steps toward school or employment. Kami, their on-staff educational consultant, helped me organize my transcripts and get back into school which made a huge difference. My parents also found the family sessions very helpful. The groups were well-run and clinically effective, and the staff genuinely cared about everyone’s progress.

The admissions coordinator, Nick, was incredibly kind. My friend was experiencing serious withdrawals, and even though her insurance isn’t contracted because it’s Medi-Cal, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely took the time to listen and care. So many people just rush through calls, but Nick truly stood out.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about going to a treatment living facility. This was due to my own perceptions and stigma on being open with total strangers on my addiction. I didn't realize that a communal atmosphere is just what I needed to open up and take care of well being. I stayed for 6 months at the Haven House in Long Beach. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. I very much recommend this establishment if you wish to progress through addiction and leave all the more better for society.

If you use more than 3 tiny creamers they get mad and say this is why we can't have nice things lol 😂 the people and program is what you make it but it's just hilarious to me that 3 creamers pisses them off when they make over 7000 off one person a day 😂😂😭 also if you complain to upper management they block you and the Jen woman will text you a dozen times asking if you want to be in the program even when you've been in the program over a month they are clueless but I enjoy it me and my wife I'm sober and I quit cigarettes I guess you just do the best with what you get
