I showed up to Treehouse ready to change but i didn't know how to make these changes. Anything i tried alone always seemed to fail until i was accepted into the treehouse family. They showed me how to handle simple to complex tasks with a rational clear thinking mind. They gave me the tools and confidence to stay in a state of gratitude day in and day out. They solidified my hard working ethics and gave me a place to call home. We worked hard and we had a lot of fun. I particularly love the ocean (surfing, diving, skimboarding) so being on the boats with the team was my favorite part of the physical modalities. I owe it big time to the clinical staff for listening intently, caring and asking the right questions at the right time to help me work through a lifetime of baggage.

I cannot say enough good things about Windward Way! I had reached a point in my addiction where I was headed down a slippery slope toward losing it all. Helpful, knowledgeable and most of all loving. There are too many techs to mention by name but each one was on par. The groups led by the facilitators were so helpful. Ken and his love for the big book, Kelly and her love of teaching us through art and inner peace, Chad and his ability to tell a story or set up a learning environment that draws you in intellectually. Tony is exceptional in just chopping it up, but always ensuring we left with a valuable tool. Otis and his ability to understand everyone in the room even given our vast age differences. Gerald and his desire to keep us involved in after care. My house manager Monica for truly listening to each housemates concerns, and I cannot forget my therapist Christina for all the insight she gave me into why I am they way I am. I was accepted into this program during the worst time of my life, and they above and beyond to help me repair and regain things that had been lost in my addiction such as HOPE. I felt lost, anxious, confused, and ashamed. But as soon as I stepped into DEDICATO they treated me with compassion and empathy, I wasn't judged at all. I felt so at ease and comfortable. Dr. Marshall is very understanding he knows where I was coming from and he felt my pain. The staff treated me like family. The first person to greet you is Lilly with a smile and helps with any questions you might have, Kalen a staff member and a physical trainer is their by your side step by step. I call them the three wise men again Dr. Marshall keeps it real with me, that's what I wanted honestly, by my side during my journey on recovery. I have David an awesome person has great group zoom meetings. Charles keeps it real also honest and humble, very understanding. I have been to a multitude of treatment centers in and outside of California, Avedis Recovery is by FAR the most caring, authentic, and helpful place I have ever been to. It is the ONLY place that I was able to stay sober during my entire time and where I was able to find the confidence in myself to stay sober and where I found real growth. They care. Every other treatment center it was very clear that the management and program directors were really only involved for the money. The program director at Avedis is not, he and all other staff GENUINELY CARE!! Usually at other places you never see the director but here you see him almost everyday, he is involved and genuinely cares about people here and their sobriety. With the help of Avedis Recovery I was able to gain a newfound confidence in myself, my family’s trust, my faith in God, and most of all a clear and sober mind. Casa capri changed my life, making the decision to come here was extremely hard but i thank myself everyday for doing it. The staff here is incredible and feels like family. Ive learned so much about my disease and how to manage my life again, learn about the true complex nature of my addiction, how it works, and how to be free. The support is forever and you can feel how much they want you to do good here. It works if you work it.
My therapist Lauren was amazing and i wish i could take her and my case manager with me! But they have set me up for success. Im so thankful to them.
Casa Capri treated me with dignity and respect, everyday. They always had my best interest at heart. I came into treatment only planning to stay 2 weeks, i was encouraged to stay the full 30 days and it was so worth it. It was my first time in any kind of treatment. I didn’t know what to expect. But I’m so glad that my loved ones chose Casa Capri for me! There are 4 houses on one street that they occupy. A detox, ED house and 2 Rehabilitation houses. They’re like beach cottages. Makes you feel like you are at a little home away from home but with extra Roomate’s.
Detox time allows you to relax, get set up on medication schedule, fill your days with movies, snacks, and prepare yourself for residential. * Do not bring any open food or vapes. Bring comfortable clothes, you’re just lounging. The techs are there for you. You can talk to them about anything. They listen. Even at 3 in the morning when I couldn’t sleep.
Residential is where the real work begins. Your days begin with morning group and meditation, followed by breakfast of your choice with all casa girlies from both houses, medication, getting ready for the day and morning chores. The groups range from open discussion, understanding a little more about yourself, and sharing your story with others. It’s a time to cry, grow, support the other girls and dig deep. You have dietician groups, outings, pilates, breath works, creative art and so much more built in as well. The houses have lunch and dinner prepared by a wonderful chef. She is a delight. So funny and really caters to your diet needs. Casa girls rotate clean ups, find time to read their big books, work on casa binder for telephone privileges and sponsor work! You attend off site AA women’s only meetings. Great place to hear others share, to take new comer and various lengths of sobriety chips and find a sponsor! You become very close with the girls in your house. We would watch shows together, swim in the pool and do crafts like making sober friendship bracelets. Every week there is client cook night where the houses rotate and pick the menu for the night. Go over with the dietician and the chef for dietary needs, and purchasing. It’s a great way to do something for others. The idea behind these scheduled days is to get you to be active in your recovery, participate, get connected with others and get back to the basics. All techs are so approachable and really do care about you and what you’re going through. In the beginning most are shy, disconnected and broken, but when you settle in you start to become a woman in recovery and start gain strength and grow. Understand and appreciate more.
I will forever be grateful to my therapist there. Each clients is assigned a case worker and therapist and they help you navigate your recovery and process areas you need to work on. Everything is in confidence. And it’s really a safe space.
I can’t thank Casa Capri Recovery in Costa Mesa enough. They helped me prepare myself for the outside world as a woman in recovery. If anyone in my life is struggling, I know Casa will always be the place I recommend. They hold a special place in my heart. Thanks Casa Team, I couldn’t have done this without you!

I tried over and over to get clean and stay clean, when I came to hathaway it was my last chance, my family wanted nothing more to do with me. I went to Hathaway for detox and ended up staying 90days. The gratitude I have for Hathaway is never ending, the amazing support of the staff and follow through with my treatment therapy and counseling was what I really needed to help me with my trauma and get my life back.
